The employees here can be really rude, and not very helpful. Everything is on their time which can be very slow so don’t be in a hurry. I dreaded coming here and having to deal with the employees. I will definitely be avoiding this location in the future.

I asked to have the rental until Saturday because I wasn't moving in until Friday. The location called me Friday in a very rude manner suggesting that the Uhaul I had was reserved. I explained that I hadn't unloaded yet and couldn't bring it until Saturday, the original date I told the manager during the rental. I woke up Saturday to a $111 charge and when I made it to the location no one could tell my why. Fields was very rude during the return and had a poor attitude. The truck had very little gas and drove roughly. The check engine light was on the entire trip. It was a very unpleasant experience.

We had and continue to have numerous issues on both sides of our experience with this: On the shipping side of things (Pullman, WA) they had almost no idea that we were even picking up on the day that we scheduled despite us calling 3 times prior to verify this with the location itself. Because of this we ended up getting our boxes 6 hours after originally planned and were almost unable to fill them in time to ship out. On the receiving side (Birmingham AL) we had a somewhat similar experience except the issues continue to this day. We called the day prior to us coming to pick up the boxes after receiving the message that the boxes had arrived and they told us that everything was good to go for pick up. When we arrived the next day they had no idea that we were even coming and were unable to give us the boxes that day so we had to come back the next day. When we arrived the next day they seemed to be prepared for us and we were able to get the boxes and unload them before returning them to their office (finally one full good day). We thought all was well and good since that day and we could just put this bad experience behind us, but no. The Birmingham office still to this day doesn't think we have returned the boxes to them or even picked them up so they are charging us rent on the boxes that they are "storing". We have tried to contact the office numerous times (10+) and have only once got them to answer (which they immediately just said call back tomorrow and hung up. They didn't answer the next day). We will never be using the Uhaul Ubox service for this again in the future and will recommend similar to our friends and family. I recommend anyone reading this review to also avoid using their Ubox services.

The concept is great and the U-Boxes were sufficient for our needs. U-box was brought to our house for us to pack-up. Was very easy to order online & it was delivered on-time. U-Haul contacted us the day before delivery and on the day of delivery to let us know that they were on the way. Same for picking up our boxes to be stored while we sold house/moved. Not sure what happened for the delivery of our boxes after we moved, but we had an opposite experience for the 2nd delivery. Could not order the re-delivery anywhere on the UHaul portal. Had to stay on hold on phone for 30-60 min. each time we called; had to call at least 3 times (to either get the new delivery arranged or to get boxes picked up for the last time). Were told a date that our boxes were arriving by corporate office; never showed. Later told by local office that that day could not have been scheduled because they only delivered Uboxes 2 days/week only in our city. No calls the day that the boxes finally arrived (about 1 week later than we originally wanted; would've been so much easier on move-in day!). No calls when the boxes were picked up for the last time. Received emails to confirm delivery for boxes as if they were coming in the next 1-2 days, but the email came after the promised date listed & the boxes weren't delivered. It was a confusing mess. We're requested to have the delivery & last month of storage reimbursed to us for all the trouble; we're waiting to hear back, probably at least 1 week.

Trailer wasn't especially clean. I swept it out and blew it out with a leaf blower before loading motorcycle. The left rear turn light/brake light did not function. I noticed this problem soon after I started out on a long trip. I should have checked it myself when I picked the trailer up. Also, the site is a reclaimed industrial location. There are numerous pieces of metal shavings and other items that have a high likelihood of puncturing tires. This only applies to the area covered by gravel. The paved portion should not suffer from this problem.

We had a couple broken items but all and all it went well with the Ubox. The rruck and movers we had scheu2 months in advance turned out To be a nightmare! We were sent to four different locations to pick up a moving truck and I Rivers communicated with us all day and then just didn't show up. Terrible experience with U-Haul overall the individual location that hands are you box did a good job. Thank you.

I was over charged when a team member made a mistake. U-Haul would not take responsibility. When I asked to fix the mistake team members were rude. I saw a rat in storage facility. I will never return to this storage facility and warn everyone not to consider this location for storage needs.

Was not allowed to "check out" vehicle and talk to anybody. Found out I was charged an additional $80 - $40 for being one hour late and additional for "extra" mileage. Mileage I can understand, but ONE HOUR late and I get charged a full day? I'd love to see UHAUL be a bit more understanding and waive that charge.

Moving Help arrived on a Sunday and were told UBoxes could only be picked up Mon-Fri. I reselected the same movers to help the following Friday. When they arrived, the UHaul location (who called me to confirm the prior day) did not have the UBoxes ready for pickup. I even had to supply my movers with the box IDs because they couldn't locate them under my name. Moving Help were also told that day UBoxes could be picked up 7 days a week. My possessions were held back from me for almost a week due simply to mismanagement. Would not recommend this location.

Fix your website. Hire someone to answer your phones. Would I recommend you? Absolutely not simply due to the fact that I had to email to get help. Then I was invoiced for something I did not order. It supposedly is cleared up now. The folks in Atlanta handled a couple of my calls and they were great although they couldn't really help me. Its sad when a business thinks so much of themselves they make customers wait over an hour on hold to get help. Bad, Bad, Bad service.

First time using any kind of storage facility. They didn’t make it easy to understand nor were they helpful in their description of what to do or where to go. We fingered it out eventually and got everything moved in. The carts at the door were convient and it made the storing stuff faster than moving out.

I had a confirmed appointment to unload my belongings from my (2) U-Box containers on 6/22/21. I hired movers + truck to help me unload and carry my things to my apt. However, not a single Uhaul employee showed up to the location that day. I waited for 3 hours, but no-one ever showed up. In addition, the manager NEVER responded to multiple phone calls and emails (and he has still not reached out to return any of my messages). He should be retrained or fired. I had to hire the movers again for the next day. Thankfully someone showed up to Uhaul the next day. However, they did not close out my contract on their computer so I continued to get charged for storage the following month. In addition, hold times for the Customer Service phone line are ALWAYS 45 - 60 min. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Every action typically requires a phone call (confirming appts, confirming locations, confirming arrival times, etc) and it is so painful to have to wait on hold for a full hour for something that is often a very simple question. I have always been such a proponent of Uhaul and recommended it to many friends but after this experience and the incredible LONG wait times on the phone, I do not think I will use Uhaul again.

Everything was good and tall guy was returning. I originally booked it till 4 PM. I called and told the office I was running late and they said I must have it there by 4:45 because they shut the system down because the store closes at 5 PM. I arrived at 4:35 and the automatic door was not opening. I was able to open it manually and the woman was very irate that I came in at 4:35 when the sign clearly said the store closes at 5 PM.. They reluctantly took the keys and were very upset they had to deal with me returning the truck. Besides that the U-Haul was good and when I arrived they were very accommodating

We were charged for an extra day by drop-op location when our reservation contract show it was due the day after we returned. We were credited extra day before picking up truck due to truck being 3 hours from pick-up location. It took an hour on the phone and still pending approval for refund.

In May, we contacted with your company to move my belongings from Florida to Ohio using a U-Box. That box arrived in mid-June and it was late. On top of being late (after taking three weeks to get here), we were informed that it wouldn't be delivered to my house. We'd agreed when we initiated the contract that the box would be delivered to my home. After pointing this out (using UHaul's own documentation), the box was finally delivered. I unpacked all of my belongings and then returned the container to you. We THOUGHT that this should have been the end of our association. However—for some reason—we kept being charged a monthly storage fee (though we're not storing anything). The box was returned on June 16th and THEN credit card was charged (through auto-pay) for a month of storage (again, we're not storing anything). After going through the long, LONG process of getting that charge removed. (NOTE: Your customer service is terrible. It shouldn't require hours on hold and multiple call transfers to get you to fix YOUR mistakes. Further, having someone at UHaul customer service state that they don't have access to UHaul reference numbers is really frustrating). So that should have resolved the issue, right? Nope. A few days ago, we received an invoice for ANOTHER month of storage fees (plus a $15 late fee). I've been told that this has been fixed, but we'll see next month (Again, we aren't renting any storage spaces from you). Oh, and on top of all of that, we were told that the U-Box (for white we were being charged) has been rented to someone else (so you were, apparently, attempted to get paid twice for the same piece of equipment). The evidence this is the fact that it's now in Birmingham, Alabama (and we had nothing to do with anything related to Alabama). Mistake was piled upon mistake and each promise to correct that mistake was broken (adding more mistakes to the total). I have to be fair, the problem was addressed by UHaul staff, so they do deserve some credit for that (although I'm still not sure that things have been resolved), but how enthusiastically should I thank the fire department for putting out a blaze at my house when they were the ones who started it? It's going to be difficult, but I've going to try my best to avoid ever dealing with your company again.

My rating was going to be below average as when I called and was told the closest truck was 90 miles away when I reserved 12 days ahead of time was not pleasant. I was talking to your rep Jumurial in Alabama and I shared that it was not a good answer. I asked her to have a better answer and that I would call back in an hour. I called back in an hour and she put me on hold, and came back that I could pick up my 15foot truck in Birmingham at 5:00. I am not sure what she did, but that alone made me rate this above average.

You have the rudest set of employees at that location! Their clocks are wrong! Had multiple customers waiting outside! Made ugly remarks at a couple and then got into a huge argument with multiple when they all had had enough of their rudeness and wants us to understand why they lacked simple customer service skills! They both stated they hate their jobs and that you all were the reason for the ugly! Saying they been having to get cursed out by customer and no bodies returning trucks so that's why it's okay to be rude and ugly and combative with customers at 7 am! You all really should clean up shop and do better!

The location wasn't bad but everything else about renting a truck was terrible. I set up a 24/7 pick up at 7:00 AM at one location. That truck was given to someone else. Then I was sent to another location because the first location didn't have anymore trucks. I got to the second location and the truck that was booked for me through the 1800 U-Haul number was already being used by some one else. I finally got a truck at 9:00 AM. After my experience with UHaul I hope to never use this company ever again. There is absolutely no reason y'all should even try to advertise your app. It is the most pointless attempt at technology I have ever tried to use.

I have used a lot of UHaul places over the years, but this is the nicest one! Yolanda was a pleasure to work with, the equipment was clean and in great condition and the whole facility was well taken care of. I returned the truck after hours and really appreciated how well lit it was and how safe I felt. I'll definitely use this one from now on!

After letting them know that I gave them my business by renting storage at this facility and that someone higher up the chain needed to help resolve my problem, they said that the buck stopped with them.

The storage units should atleast have a roof over them even if they’re in a warehouse. Especially if they’re considered indoor.

I was charged for things I shouldn’t have been. Staff was very rude especially the general manager Paul who lied to us repeatedly. He is a horrible excuse for a manager and deserves to be fired!

The storage part of the store closed early one night and was locked when I brought a full load ready to unload at my storage unit. I had checked the hours online, as well as called the location to confirm the hours, before I went to load up my trailer to bring to the storage unit. The employee I talked to on the phone informed me that it closed at 7, which matched what it said online. When I got the storage unit around 6:40 the outside doors were locked. I called the store and talked to the same employee, and she told me that it was closed and that she never said it was open til 7 and that I would have to wait until 9am the next day. I begged and tried to plead my case on the phone for them to just come open it for a few minutes so that we could unload our stuff. They refused and argued back. Terrible customer service. They then locked the doors to the store and said it was closed too so that we could not talk to them in person. It would have maybe taken 10 minutes tops for us to get everything unloaded and into our unit. Instead, because of that employee, I had to bring all the stuff back to where I had gotten it and unload it and wait til the next day to do it all over again. Pretty ridiculous, especially after I had called to confirm the times just to make sure nothing like that would happen. Cannot support this location in the future with employees and practices like that

Was told the storage units were open til 7pm on Saturday’s when I signed up. Called around 5:30pm on Saturday just to make sure facility would be open til 7 and also checked online. Was told 7pm again. Showed up with a full trailer of things to put into storage around 6:40 pm and the door to the storage entrance was locked. Called the front office and they told us they close at 6:30 and they said that they never told us they close at 7. That was only the beginning of the rude conversation. (I know the workers were just trying to skip out of work early.) They also then locked the doors to the main area so that we couldn’t talk to them in person. Because they wouldn’t allow us the couple minutes to unload all of our stuff and put it into our storage unit, we had to bring it all back to where we got it from and unload it again. Will have to do it all over again at another time because of the employees. Because of this, I can never recommend this location to anyone.

From the time of dealing with customer service, I was very please with their patience and concern of my needs. The person advised that he was fairly new there but, I couldn't tell because I think did a good job getting me taken care of. I appreciated him making sure I had the size storage that I needed and taking me to it. He tried to find a storage that would be very convenient for me to get to. I appreciated that.
