I brought the truck back on Saturday 9/17 before noon. I was told they would email a receipt. The following Monday, I got a call asking, â€œwhen I planned on returning the truck?â€. I explained it already had been 2 days prior. Later that day, I got a bill for $419 asking me to pay. Claimed gas was on 1/4th tank when it was returned full. That same day without my consent my card was charged. Immediately the manager apologized and said he would reverse it. It was reversed a week later, after multiple contacts. Then the day following the reversal, I got another invoice for $453. I contacted the manager via text to let him know what was on my mind. I have not heard back. What a fraudulent business. I paid $1756 for a truck with horrible suspensions and barely there tires. U-Haul feels entitled to steal more?? Never again!Faranak C.

When I walked in the 2 workers had to ask each other if they accepted walk-ins when absolutely no other customers was in sight. When asked if cash or card was ok to use they also didn't know what to say and looked at each other crazy, I wanted the really big truck which I eventually got they tried to give me their regular truck. Absolutely no professionalism in that place from them and my first experience was above my expectations which is why I chose them again but after this experience I would never rent from them again. No paperwork was given to me when I picked up the truck. When I go in the truck it stated low tire pressure and because of the I couldn't see the miles. I immediately went and got the rental agent and he cleared the error and the miles showed 42110. The agent stated that the tire had been changed and a number of trucks had issues. I took a picture of the miles and fuel gauge. I returned the vehicle at the drop off area and no one was there to check it in. I took a picture of the mileage and gas gauge at this time. The gas gauge was over a half a tank. When I received the truck it was under half a tank. I have pictures of that as well. I again when to the agent and asked for a receipt. The agent stated that he would email a receipt to me. When I received the receipt I was over charged for miles and also charged $7. For gas. I called the agent and he said there was nothing he could do and I would have to call Monday and talk to the general manager and then he hung up on me. This as much accounts to theft by this Uhaul store. If I hadn't checked the receipt I would have paid over $100. In excess charges. If I don't receive some type of response on this I may have to contact the Missouri Attorney Generals office to check into the practices of this Uhaul store. This makes you wonder how many others are over charged that don't know it. You have my contact information on file. Mike CaryMICHAEL C.

I brought a trailer, a 26' truck AND a 13' truck back one day early. I asked if I could get credit for that and was politely told no. I asked if I would have brought all three back one day later, would there be additional cost and was told of course. Seems rather ironic, don't you think? I truly believe that is bs that I received nothing for returning all equipment one day early. Would love a logical response.Brad N.
We called to ask if we could return the van just a little later. Our due time was 4pm, and we returned it shortly after 5pm. We were told there was no problem, and no charges...but then we got $72.35 charge! We have called a couple times already and we are told we will get the credit... 10 days later, still nothing. I reserved online and added the $14 vehicle protection. It was not until I turned in the vehicle and got a receipt that I saw vehicle protection had been taken off. I something would have happened we would have a law suit on our hands.Jeffrey T.

This is second time in a row that I've reserved a trailer at least 5 weeks in advance, then checked in on-line two days in advance and when I've arrived at the pick-up location they didn't have a trailer. First time I had to drive and extra 25 miles to get the trailer. This time the closest trailer was over 50 miles away. At the very least U-Haul should have contacted me in advance that they didn't have the trailer instead of waiting until I'm at the location and wasting time trying to correct the situation. U-Haul needs to fix their reservation system and procedures because the way it is currently I would have gotten the same results calling the same day I needed the trailer. We had an excellent pick up experience, but a terrible delivery experience only saved by the amazing customer service we had from several U-haul team members at the Columbia Missouri office. Our delivery time was 10-noon, and after four calls in to the regional number that rolled to the national number, I finally got in my car and drove to the Columbia MO u-haul location. At that point the boxes were five hours late - Cameron Wright consulted with his manager Kace Johnson and did the right thing to get us our u-haul boxes. We had paid movers (not through U-haul) and both parents in from out of town all standing around doing nothing waiting to move our daughters into apartment for college. Cameron went out of his way to help us find a solution, putting the boxes on a single trailer that Octavius Johnson personally drove over to us so we could get moved. The boxes were very late, but they made sure we got our boxes. A HUGE KUDOS to Cameron and Octavius for EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Thank you guys! You saved the day.ANGELA B.

When I reserved the trailer, the quote came in around $139 plus SafeTow (another $30). When I went to pick up the trailer, the total came to $214.75. It appears the SafeTow and the rental price on the trailer went up considerably from the morning when I "checked in" online. It would be nice to understand why the drastic change for a trailer rental covering Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon could increase so appreciably in just a few hours after checking in.William S.

I did not return the car dolly to Plano Texas. I returned it to the same location where I picked it up in Columbia Missouri, by 3:00 the same day I rented it. The employee who helped me take it off our truck took pictures of it and said he would take care of checking it in. He added that I would receive a receipt via email. A week later, I still had not received an email, but I did get a text warning me that the equipment was overdue. I eventually got it straightened out, but it was a frustrating experience. I do like the staff here, however. They're always friendly even when they're severely understaffed.Scott M.

I think this location was understaffed for the large volume of returns happening. So it felt very chaotic. We drove up and parked in the middle of the parking lot (because the return lanes were full), and the attendant just said I'll email you a receipt when I process the return. I was nervous because we didn't get anything in writing when we handed over the keys, but it all worked out ok.Nancy G.

A number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key. Then he gave us a code to use to get in and out so the rest was ok.BRADLEY H. | Overall Experience

For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks. We were able to get in if there were staff there to move trucks out of our way, but the route to the storage area entrance was blocked off by trucks for 3 or 4 days in a row, severely limiting our ability to move our items out of storage after work.Eric R. | Overall Experience

The only negative I can say is that the unit's lighting timer is too short. It's well lit for about 5 minutes and then it goes off. The unit is very secure and very clean.
