Employees were nice and helpful. One of the employees brought my containers to my car and loaded them even though we had to get inventive on how we wanted to load into an already full SUV. Thanks to that employee. Containers were a little dirty but in their defense they just got returned when I was picking up.Maico R.

Poor because I returned the truck on 8/31/21 per contract and yet was charged for an additional day. Also, the Uhaul website is inadequate and glitchy and the 800 # routeenly has a 30 min + wait time.Theodore M.
I rented the largest truck uhaul offers. I only reserved it for half a day not knowing if I'm being charged by the hour or the day. For starters you could improve the information provided on your website. The gentleman who cashes me out tells me he'll email me a receipt. Truck is due back at 1:30. And some will pull it upfront for me. Oh and he also tells me they don't have any dolly's even though I made my reservation to include one 2 weeks ago. But that's all. Doesn't tell me about putting fuel in it or if need more time what I do. Nothing. My receipt was not emailed to me until I called and asked for it. I got texts about verifying the condition of the truck, after I was already clear across town. I later called to ask how I extend the time on the rental and how it's charged. And he's half paying attention to me and talking to someone else. Tells me it's by the day. When I ask him to clarify what that means for uhaul he then tells me if I drop it off past 1:30 (which was a 6 hour reservation) then I would owe for another day. My fiancÃ© took the phone from me and told him we picked it up at 9am. Is a day 24hrs, or the duration of business hours. Told 24hrs and told that they close at 7pm that day. Go to return my truck 15 minutes before close. The door is locked. I stand there and wait, holding my keys. The same guy finally comes walking out and opens the door far enough for him to stick his head out and say â€œwhatâ€ told him I was there to return my truck. He told me to leave the keys in it and e'll get to it, he's gotta get stuff closed up. Meanwhile there are several other customers still in the lot trying to drop things off and etc. I don't know how you run your business but any job I had we were open and serving customers till closing time and then we locked the doors to clean and close up things. There was broken glass in the back of the Uhaul. We didn't have time to go back inside, and they were extremely busy, so we just cleaned it up ourselves. There was only 1 person working, the line to check in was very long. The woman working was running 3 registers at once to be more efficient, and providing EXCELLENT customer service to everyone. The ubox delivery was delayed by a day because they did not have enough boxes on the day of promised delivery. Then the next day, the Ubox delivered had a broken door and did not close properly. We could not close the door all the way and there is a risk of water damage. We wanted to replace the ubox with another one but they did not have any extra available so we had to use the broken one. Huge disappointment. The movers who I hired were very helpful and professional however, and without them I would not have used the service at all.Jella A.

Give the young man at the desk some help. You are losing customers who walk away from frustration when they have to wait in a long line because only one person is helping them. I had to wait about 20 minutes to pick up a truck I had reserved. Others customers left and went elsewhere.David R.
After I got home I got the received the receipt via email and got charged for 6 gallons of fuel I didn't use. I made another trip across town because I would rather talk to them in person than over the phone. I got there and talked to a woman, I'm guessing the manager, and she told me the fuel gauge was on 1/2 when she checked it after I brought it back which I know was not true because It was on almost 3/4 when I parked it, I know how to read a fuel gauge and I only drove it about 12 to 15 miles. I asked her to take me to the pickup I rented because I wanted to see it but she didn't answer me and was hateful and said well the fuel gauge wasn't where it was supposed to be. I truly believe she knew she was lying and wasjust trying to cheat me out of $30. She said well we don't usually do this but I'll refund you the money in the tone of voice like she thinks I was lying. I will never go back to this particular store again.Brad M.

The guys working were more interested in taking selfies and talking with each other than being helpful. People were cutting in line and getting tense with each other. There was no dolly, no pads, and no explanation of services - was told to bring vehicle back "before the end of the day" on the 24th. Did NOT receive a copy of the agreement, was under assumption I had unlimited mileage (moving to KC) NOT ONCE did anyone attempt to explain, well...anything to me at all. The vehicle had trash from fast food in it. Then when I returned it, I got charged 156.37 because the person in Columbia only gave me 150 miles of usage. Overall a horrible experience and I will look for alternatives next time I need to move anything, because I will never give another dollar of my money to the Uhaul facility in Columbia MO again. I should get a full refund, not only did I get overcharged, but the lack of a dolly was horrible. Then to get charged MORE money is just worse. The person in Belton was very helpful, but unfortunately could not get any financial help for us, since it is a different region. She advised us to call Columbia and ask them for a refund. My wife Allison called and was extremely nice, but the person said she would need to speak to the manager. My wife asked when the manager would be in, she would be happy to call back, and she was hung up on. The customer service in Columbia when I picked up was absolutely lacking in every aspect. The guys working that day should either be retrained or replaced, which doesn't matter much to me, because I won't be back...but I DO want my money back. ASAP.JEREMY H.

Uhaul mobile app for android did not work for the trailer return. Made the return experience not good. It failed on adding a photo, and wouldnt allow a return without the photo. I could have uploaded a photo from my camera, but the app wouldnt allow that. Online customer service was average. The uhaul containers were not dropped at the 2nd location when we had arranged for them to be and we actually had to go to the uhaul storage to get them to deliver the containers to the requested location after waiting over 2 hours. As it stands now - 2 1/2 weeks later it still shows that the containers are in storage and we are done with them and I have told them so multifple times. I am also still waiting on a refund as I was charged for 4 storage boxes and only used 2 - I have called multiple times, been on hold with uhaul for HOURS and HOURS with no satisfactory results. I am extremely frustrated with the fact that my credit card has been overcharged and the refund of $280 I was promised (on multiple occasions) has yet to post to my account. I am very disappointed in this uhaul experience as I have not had any issues prior . If nothing else - I would like my $280 back - your assistance in this matter is most appreciated.SHAWN S.

My only concern was a phone call I received from a Springfield MO office from a man named Larry. He said I rented two boxes, when I only rented one, and needed to charge me for one more box and change my arrival date. The extra $1000 was added to my account. I explained to him I only had one and had never ordered two. I understand everyone makes mistakes but he did not correct this error. Four days later the extra $1000 was still there. I had to call again to have someone else correct this. At one time I was on-hold for an hour. I needed to confirm an arrival date so I could notify the movers as well as ask off of work. I couldn't find anyone to help with this. I had to send my daughter to the U-haul store in Columbia, MO to get answers because I could not get connected to the store. I find it ridiculous to call a specific office and you get kicked to a general call center half-way across the US from the people you need to talk to. With all that being said, my box did arrive on the original date because it was expedited by the people in Columbia and all my belongings arrived safely. I am grateful for that!Renea W.

Horrible experience, and I didn't even get my U-Haul. I reserved a vehicle 2 weeks in advance for a move. I selected the after-hours pick-up option using my smartphone and a lock box. When I arrived, the lockbox number and combination did not work. I tried every other lockbox, I tried switching the order of the combination, changing a number up and down by 1 just in case there was a mistype, and nothing worked. After 20 minutes, I called U-Haul's customer service number for assistance. Meanwhile, I verified I was at the correct location, and even located the truck number in the lot. The truck did not have the keys in it, even though it was unlocked. I was on hold for almost an hour waiting to speak with someone, and finally couldn't wait any longer and had to make other last-minute moving arrangements. I called U-Haul back the next day, and waited on hold again for another hour. I finally spoke with someone, who assured me they were emailing the GM of that location to verify the truck hadn't moved, and then would refund my estimated payment of $60. A couple days later another U-Haul charge of an additional $40 was pulled from my account, and I was emailed a receipt with my "electronic signature" on it for 3 days of a u-haul rental. I obviously had not signed this form. I called and waited on hold for almost 2 hours and spoke with someone, who again said that they were contacting the general manager, and the issue would be resolved that day. Later that night, I got a call from U-Haul asking when I was planning to return the truck. I explained the situation, and she said she needs to have the GM look into it further to make sure the truck was actually returned. The next morning I still had not heard anything, so I called and they said the GM was with a patient but would call me back. 3 hours went by and I heard nothing, so I called again and the GM answered the phone. He said he authorized the refund and I should have gotten an emailed receipt. I asked him to resend and stayed on the phone until I received it. This has been a nightmare. Not only was I truck-less on moving day, but I have been out $100 for almost a week, when I was only planning on paying $60 for a usable truck in the first place!Alaina Y.

A number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key. Then he gave us a code to use to get in and out so the rest was ok.BRADLEY H. | Overall Experience
The check in process was easy because they said to just pull it in and leave keys in truck. However I would have preferred a digital check in where you can do it yourself- take photo of odometer and show proof of return. This was missing to me. Our trailer was not properly hooked up to our vehicle and came a loose as we were driving on the highway over a bridge, only being held together by the safety chain. The U-Haul representatives were very uncaring and unapologetic. The female manager I had to call back after being told we would not be charged for this rental was even ruder, and I have her name if needed. She was very unapologetic about the accident first of all, as well as the charge not being removed from my account as I was previously told. I was very disappointed and very surprised and how we were treated in this whole ordeal which was no fault of ours. The highway patrol which responded and helped us were appalled at how the trailer hitch was hooked up improperly to our vehicle. I've never been treated with so much disrespect and uncaring due to someone else's negligence, U-hauls, as we were. I will be sharing this experience with others.WENDY L.

The U-Haul app I was told to use did not allow me to send the Odometer reading. I tried for about 30 minutes before giving up and calling the 1-800 number. I waited another 15 minutes or more before anyone answered the 24/7 line. The person there had me go to the website to finish the drop-off. It worked, but someone should have mentioned going to the website if the app didn't work. I probably tried 50 different pictures on the app and it wouldn't work. I think the OCR probably sucks because it couldn't match my digital display in the truck. Needs to be fixed.Michael H.

The UHaul customer service agents were helpful and kind, but unable to provide accurate information or provide suitable resolution to UHaul's failure to meet their end of the service agreement. For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks.
