The person in the rental office did not know all he should have known about the truck I rented. I had a reservation to pick up a trailer at Bailey Avenue. I was told it would be ready at 3:00. When I arrived they had no trailer for me. I had to call 1-800-uhaul. I was on hold for 45 minutes the time it took me to drive from Bailey Ave to Transit Road location and they never picked up. At the transit Road location the young lady was able to find me a trailer that they had just finished repairing. She was extremely helpful. She also set up my drop off for a different location that was closer. I had asked to pick up a trailer at Transit Road and they said there were none available and I had to pick up on Bailey Avenue. Why would you send me to the location when none were available? I spent over an hour driving around when I preregistered the night before. If there wasn't a trailer available you should have contacted me and found me one in the area. Why did I pre check in and reserve a trailer? I was extremely dissatisfied with u-haul service overall. Your employees should be able to look on the computer and see where there is an available trailer. I didn't mind driving to a different location but I did expect a trailer, not sorry we don't have one call the 800 number. I was extremely frustrated with the whole process. More front end staff so that customers don't have to wait for each person ahead of them. Also, my hitch insert (with the ball) was most likely the wrong type. It was angling down and with my low SUV it should have been angled upward. I had to go back to the store to have them fix it. They wound up have to take apart that piece and place the ball on the opposite side in order to turn the piece upside down. By doing this it did face upward and seemed to be OK. I did happen to notice after this was done that there were inserts on display that looked to me that were designed to face up. So I think I was sold the wrong one. I hope it is safe for continued use as that was a purchase not a rental.Daniel A.

Several phone calls day prior to confirm appointment I had made over a week ago. Hard to reach anybody and kept getting bounced to the reservation customer service number that could not help me out 2 and a 1/2 hours later made an appointment for installation over a week ago and nobody had record of it, 3 people, 3 calls, all different responses and then my appointment at 10:00 a.m. this morning was not honored, was told they were squeezing me in and did not get done until 2:30 p.m. Got to the store to pick up my truck about 4pm and there were no workers present for 20 minutes, with 2 girls waiting prior to my arrival stated they had been sitting there quite a while with nobody present, visible, I walked through the entire establishment, garage, storage areas and finally spotted one man out in the parking lot that was helping another customer with propane or something and there was nobody working in the store, myself and other customers were waiting and searching for workers. A over the road uhaul worker walked in and I told him we could not find a worker, he said he could not cash me out, nor the other 2 customers. He did not know where any workers were either. Totally ridiculous in entirety. Finally a "worker" came in and acted like normal and carried on to cash us out with no words to explain. Zero.Cyndy W.

The front tires were very dangerous. They were so bald, the radials were showing through. I didn't notice until I arrived at my first stop. The truck was difficult to control. No pre trip was done with the uhaul associate. He did as little as possible during the transaction with no personality.Andrew S.
Original reservation was for a rental at a different location. At that location, at my correct time of pickup, deskperson rented my RESERVED van, to another customer standing in front of me. I then had to travel to an alternate location, slightly farther away, to get a rental van.David J.

We needed a ban to move my son to Chicago from Buffalo. Our only option was for 4 days. We only needed less than 2 days. I feel we overpaid since we returned the van well before the 4 days. Now U haul can return around and rent the van for more income! We does that leave me!!!!Robert D.

This is the third time I have rented from this location. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The last rental needed a little help. The 26' box truck was clean but it critically needed front tires and an alignment. I could not get the truck to go more than 55mph safely. If you have ever owned a Wrangler and have experienced death wobble, you know what I'm talking about. Everything else about my experiences have been great. I hope they fix that truck. I would definitely rent there again but will be more conscious of the tire situation next time. Might be a good part of the picture review upon pickup.Carrie G.
Employee Austin Stoddard handled my reservation for a moving truck on August 29th. Austin was very knowledgeable, and the rental process (both check-in and return) went very smoothly. I cannot even offer constructive criticism for Austin; he did very well. I also witnessed Austin's handling of an irate customer, whose complaint had absolutely nothing to do with Austin's service. Austin dealt with this customer calmly and patiently, and provided her with the best possible service in what was an uncomfortable and unfortunate situation. Austin Stoddard should be commended on his professionalism; he is an excellent employee.David F.

When I rented the truck and the manager asked me to do a walk around and see that the fuel guage was at full. I did the walk around and noted that the fuel gauge was Not on full but about an 1/8 or more down from full. Took the truck, did what I had to do and fueled up just down the road from this Uhaul facility, back to what it was before i took it away. The manager argues with me that she explained about the link that you are supposed to use to report discrepancies, which she did not, then she continues to argue with me about an additional $9.10 fuel charge to return the vehicle's fuel guage to full, which it never was. I think this woman & uhaul are FOS, and i believe they do this kinda thing quite a bit. Do yourself a favor, take a picture ðŸ"· before you pull out of that facility. The general manager was very apologetic but I had called the customer service number twice to see the status of the install and waited an extra 3.5hrs. The wiring was left dangling inside and panels were left laying down. The work was not completed fully and I feel it was not worth the moneyjason B.

I drove the van 40 miles. The gas gauge was on â€œfullâ€ when I got it and when I filled it when I was done it took over 5 gallons of gas and it could have taken more. That comes out to less than 8 miles per gallon, I rented the same van a couple of weeks ago and it got about 20 mpg. You need a more accurate gauge or leave all vehicles at 3/4 of a tank. I gave you about 3 gallons of gas for free which I deserve a credit for.CARL M.

Very unfair that I filled up the tank and was told only needed to be filled to 3/4 and that there would be no credit. Very disappointing considering if I show up 1/4 of a gallon short I end up with a ridiculous amount of fees and $6 a gallon gasoline charges! Either give a credit, ensure tanks are always full or at least have the same rules for yourselves as you expect of your customersAdam L.

It is impossible to reach this location by phone. All calls to local ph # are immediately forwarded to national customer service reps. As issue was something that only local uhaul could answer, the national rep said she she would connect me with the local uhaulâ€¦. Which didnt happen as my call was immediately forwarded back to the national call center, with another 10 min wait.John V.

Customer service at this location is nonexistent. The clerks are rude, and don't seem to care about their jobs at all. The 17 ft truck I rented was a death trap. The front steering and suspension was so bad I couldn't drive over 45 mph without worrying about it going off the road. When I mentioned this to the clerk he smirked at me and shrugged his shoulders. In addition to all that the appliance dolly I rented was never put on the truck so I had to move several appliances with the small dolly that came with the truck. I used to use this location 10+ years ago quite often but will never set foot back in there, nor will anyone I know.Dennis A.

i requested a an appliance dolly to help move a frig. They did not have any onsite and told me that was just the way it is. Also the cost was more them double I reserved the truck for. The truck made these small moves very helpful. I do not like being double what I quoted online. I put $20.00 in fuel and it still cost over $ 73.00 for mileage charges. The truck was filthy when I got it with who knows what splattered on the wall. There was moving blankets on the ground in the truck that I didn't use and was charged for. The dolly in the back had no plastic lock thing so I almost got charged for that as well. The overall experience was pretty bad and I will be finding other means of moving vehicles as well as making sure that I let everyone I know about my experience. I emailed the help line about my over charge and I havnt received a response. I tried calling and the wait was over 25 minutes long.Alexander B.

Great site and the staff was awesome. However making the reservation was a pain. I was told that I could do it online but the site will allow multiple ppl to make the same reservation. So I called - waited over 2 hours on hold and finally got to talk to someone. This made me think that I had the reservation. When I went into the store the next day, the staff told me the same thing - I still might not have it since the system allows multiple ppl to book the same space. There was one problem. In this facility, there is a drive-in option to get you out of the weather. Very nice, out of the weather and close to the storage unit. The issue is the floor is finished in a gloss polish. When I stepped out of my truck, my foot slipped and I fell to the ground. My while I understand the effort to keep the facility clean, I would suggest changing the floor finish to a "sand imbedded or textured" surface. Used the "rent now" feature online to receive "free" disc lock. Unit was locked with a padlock and no "free" lock was provided. Employees stated that it was not included and I had to purchase a lock for $10 - 12. Other than the awful 1st attempt to get my unit, things are great.
