I was again happy w/ the location and the app. I was disappointed that I did not rcv a receipt via email. I called, left my ph no. and when Karla called me back from the 1-800 no., she promptly hung up on me. I then placed another re-turn ph call and Justin immediately sent a receipt. I was happy w/ the location.
Seth L.I had a great experience and amazing customer service at this U-Haul facility/site! Chris Willis was phenomenal in assisting and accommodating me with the right sized vehicles and equipment I needed for my two-day move from two different sites! He was able to accommodate my moving needs despite the busy Memorial Day weekend and their high reservation requests! Chris had a GREAT attitude and made my anticipation for a stressful move much better!! Overall, top notch customer service and good quality vehicles! Would recommend! -Laura
laura P.l was sent a truck rental contract which l did not initiate. This is concerning that an agent does not check the person's phone number, email and other info associated with the customer when the vehicle is picked up. Please implement a "check and balance" system.

nancy M.The problem was small but could of been major .I check out the truck the way I always have .the gas tank they said was full and I got in the truck and it was only three quarter full .then the pictures did not exactly match the pictures they had .then the low air sinsor wasn't right me being in a hurry didnt think to do back in and clear all this .I replied on uhauls system went to pick up my brother who is also semi retired Dot and a fleet machanic with over forty years expierience god know he scared me but in a good way so when I went to pick up my car which has my tools In it for the job.he told me to have them check the air in the tires .and tell them about the sensor all shit broke loose .they took the defensive on everything that why I try to go with a you haul place where I know the people .the manager tried to tell a dot inspect that low air is not a problem or faulty senor is not a problem said she was certified to make that accessment bobby my brother said firmly that she didn't know what she was say thing just got worse from there but like I said we got through it the last I went to the picticular U-Haul I was working with the FBi meaning we were hauling files for a federal case and the FBI was our escort .we were transporting the to the federal building on military highwayys before Indian river the brakes were so bad the angent would even get in the truck .he felt it wasn't safe that was thirty years ago .the only reason I'm bringing this up is to make a provable point the lady The manager said to me she does know me from Jack all the better reason to preceded with caution but less aggressive if she is firm in what she says and died wrong and something goes wrong the claim in the event of a law suite will be large .I've learned through the years and if your not sure then yield a little .it better then being wrong .I think with his expierience he was better at sighting her a dot code .lol if she a certified dot mechinic for a trucking fleet with forty odd years expierience why do you have a mechanic lol .again I'm not being aggressive we got through it .my company has decided to rent trucks from you all and I agree over all all your employees are good with the little exception but we both can learn from what happened her look at how many times I rent a truck from you and ask yourself teach me your process and walk me through it so we both learn believe my when I tell you this as many people that watch me when I do what I do if something goes s wrong someone more important than me got my back .I was emptying out a house that was used as a crystal meth lab .you want to figure out how many people had their eyes on me .the insident 2002 was A federal indiment that was the msrv case the cause the federal hud calapse . I never know who I'm working for from one day to the next but I go on doing it .in the end all went well .both sides were a little heated .thanks for listen hope this helps

m antoinette A.didn't appreciate the extra charge for for a late drop off. It was scheduled to be an after hours drop off at 8pm. We were delayed and I dropped it off around 12:30am (4.5 hours later). We were charged a full second day's rental. :(

Having just moved to the US from the UK it was our first time using Uhaul, with the added complication of a mix of UK and US documents. Chris made the whole experience smooth and easy. Would recommend!
Katie B.Very poor customer service. The only good part was John .. who works at reservations. Thru the reservation desk, we reserved a hand cart and furniture dolly. When I went to pick them up today the manager told us “I don't have any. They're first come first serve.†What do you mean you don't have any? What's the point of reserving one if you don't even have any available. She was extremely rude and passive aggressive. Talking back to customers is not a way to get repeat customers. She said no one in the reservation office knows her stock... and no one verified anything with her. She said they haven't had any furniture dollies in a while. (So how can the reservation office even offer them)? The App is not user friendly, and the chat staff is useless. When I returned the Hand Truck, I had to wait on someone for 20 minutes. Stay away from UHall.. or at least this location.

Keith H.Only issue was that we requested to rent a utility dolly and appliance dolly. The utility dolly was missing from the truck upon inspection. Informed person at the desk and we were told it was probably stolen and did not offer to let us have one from another truck, which there were several.

We made an appointment and the On Line system said Wait for your Hitch Appointments Only and when we arrived, there was no place to wait and the local store did not have our appointment. Luckily, they worked us in and we were done in 3 hours.
Bruce L.The woman and man who worked at this U-Haul location on Tuesday, 25 April were the model of professional, knowledgeable assistance, even as they had to deal with an irate, irrational, abusive black female, who was disrupting this particular business location on Virginia Beach blvd with aggressive, angry, disruptive behavior. Bravo to both of your employees as they dealt with the cursing and screaming, recovering nicely and keeping the business running smooth.

Edward L.My pickup time was originally 9am then got called and told it was gonna be 11am and that no other vehicles were available of the size or the next size lower either. I didn't receive any credit for the inconveniences or anything, overall I was pretty disappointed as well.

Got to this location for pick and so called manager said i had to pay $10. Why did i have to pay in person when i didnt have to pay online and already opt not to pay online? Thought a franchise is suppose to be standardize everywhere, or at least within the same zipcode?
Usunobun A.The woman at the front counter was terrible. I took pictures and a voice recording of her being rude to multiple people . She had power some how and wouldn't give me her name but tried to get off with just giving me $50 off … I didn't care for that so some how I paid $877.80 instead of $933 + the $100 something dollar credit card fee because I don't have a credit card . Idc about the money . I had the money . I need great hospitality . She even threatened to not give me my uhual before i told her I've been recording her disrespect more than 4 people NOT including me and my fiancé . I even watched her hang up in a customers face because she got flustered .
Destinee P.The only suggestion I could make would be to have some type of seating/lounge area for people waiting to have service performed to/on their vehicle; i.e. having a trailer hitch installed, etc.

Joann J.We rented a 15ft truck for an out of state move and we drove 5 miles from the location loaded the truck and then it wouldn't start and the check engine light came on. We had to unload it get it started and drive it back to the location after waiting for roadside assistance. The only replacement truck they had was 26ft……. It wouldn't even fit in the driveway, we had to load this truck then drive 400 miles it got 7 miles to the gallon and we ended up paying way more in gas it took twice as long to get to our destination and it wouldn't fit in any parking spaces… the guy at the location we picked up from was rude and clearly just wanted to leave.

Jacqulin G. | Overall ExperienceOverall, storing my belongings was fine. BUT my storage rent was due in the 2nd of each month. Sept 2 I paid for the month. On Sept 16, we were able to move out of storage, expecting to get some sort of refund since we only used two weeks of the month. I went in the office and was told nope, we don't do partial refunds. So I said ok and went and put my lock back on my door, then made another trip out there Sept 29 to remove it. Just seems to be unfair to the people who may have needed that space, that sat empty for two weeks. And unfair to me to have to feel spiteful. I will never use Uhaul storage again, there's plenty of other places with a sense of customer service!!

ROCHELLE D. | First ImpressionsThe storage unit staff, especially Christine, the facility manager we're terrific! Frankly, these were the only Uhaul employees who honored their promises. Everyone else, from our (wrong and too small - even with the trailer we still left things behind in Austin and will have to return for them and start the moving process all over again!) truck pick-up in Kyle, all the other storage places in Norfolk area who called us a day after we picked up a two week rental asking us what time we'd be in Norfolk that day to drop off the truck and put stuff in storage, and your movers who broke things and showed up two hours late after pressuring us to meet two hours early and intimated us. We ended up unpacking the trailer ourselves while we waited and still had to pay the entire amount. We've called several times and someone is supposed to get back to us but never does. The moving company won't give us a refund even though we called and told them about the intimidation we felt and requested different movers. We will NEVER use uhaul again and we'll be warning our 5000 friends on FB, yelp and anywhere else we can find to complain unless we hear from someone and get some sort of refund.

They had no care in the world we had COVID 2 x . Lost are truck due to jiffty lube in Norfolk VA . Fried are engine. And I needed medical att. Out of area had no way to get are few things or the cages to his bird that was life friend.....nothing of value they new it ...had nurve to call my dieing mother phone more then 1 x after my father told them stop!!!!!

As of lately the sliding glass door to the storage unit building has been left open on more than one occasion requiring no card access to be used to gain access to the building.

Both times the elevator has been broken and when you have a 2nd floor unit this is inconvenient. Also, we now cannot get our BBQ out for the Fourth Of July and we have an appliance to retrieve (Freezer) after our move-in. Both items cannot be carried downstairs. It has been told to us that the repairman is scheduled for "Sometime next week".

You guys have done an excellent job in picking the best staff. They are all funny, engaging and helpful. I'm sorry I can't remember names but last 2 interactions stand out the most. The first lady (she has a nose ring) was so kind and sweet helping me after I lost my key card. The second lady (I believe she had teal highlights) who helped me get my truck checked me and another guy out at the same time, can you say skills and efficiency, she was also kind and hilarious. I'm sorry in you helpfulness you got left with the 2nd coffee option. #EXCELLENTMOVINGDAY If I'm ever in need of a storage unit again I'll definitely choose your facility and I'll always recommend.

He said he would have to see it, but he had other customers to take care of. My movers broke the seal to enter the locker. The roll up door started falling off the roller. Very dangerous! Another 30 min wait to get another storage locker…the "last one available"…and it had a padlock on it. Back to find someone to remove the padlock. Wound up paying movers an extra $250 for overtime due to storage unit problems and waiting at counter for help. Other storage unit is $15 more, also. Really not happy.

JOHN W. | First ImpressionsEverything went pretty well except for the fact that the guy at the desk handed me my access card when I first checked in for my reservation, he said just use this later when you want to put your stuff into storage and you'll be able to get in. I went to go drop my stuff later (around 10PM) when they were closed, and it said access denied you have to check in first. I looked around for directions and it said you have to check in at the alarm system station which was right next to it. I try to swipe it there and it still says access denied. Needless to say, they didn't really give me good instructions for after hours. I tried to call the number that said for "after hours only" and they didn't answer. Just a heads up, nothing crazy. I just dropped my stuff off the next day when they were open, and dropped the truck off right after. Easy day.
