Well the truck itself was not in good condition it was brought to the location from what I was told like that but the ceiling was coming down the air condition but I'll kind of noise and made the engine run hot and the back door came off track so the truck is just worn out but I love the location they're great people they really help me out a lot

I was a little worried about using UBox after reading some scary reviews, but the entire experience from start in California to finish in Texas was fantastic! Great communication and support from UHaul, and my stuff all arrived safe and sound.

The service is so poor. I had a reservation @ 9 am on Nov 21st thru 25th and I came 15 mins before 9 am. A woman her name is Alee stopped me at the door and said they don't open until 9 am. Soon I turn my back to the car, couples came in they were greeted. I have to wait until 9 am for help.

‘Guaranteed' means nothing to the consumer. Had to go to another location to get the trailer. Couldn't return it to another location in the city without incurring a $250 charge. Smh… uhaul needs competition

Went to drop off the truck, didn't see anyone so began the self check out process. Female employee yells from across the parking lot to move the truck to the other side when I'm done and park it there.

Horrible customer service, the location claimed there was no reservation and my uBoxes had to be pulled out and then were nailed shut. The employee onsite was huffing around like she couldnt be bothered and acted like it was a big deal to find tools to take out the multiple screws from my Ubox. Terrible experience start to finish from LA to Houston. I will not recommend or use in the future. The call center was bad, mixed up payment info, multiple calls to resolve one issue, late shipping, moving my box without telling me when and where it was going to be - just all around a lack of any kind of accountability or knowledge.

I don't see the point in using the App as still have to go to the counter to get the key. The app didn't let me upload a picture of the Fuel / mileage on return. Next time it will be easier to just speak with the desk attendant,

I bought a lock from Uhaul and used it two days. The key broke off in the lock. No help from uhaul and had to pay $100 to cut it off. Bad product? So on top of that I had to get another day to unload items. For this reason I have bad reviews on the internet. No one I called was helpful in the least. This review doesn't involve pickup or drop off but uhaul 800 number no help line.

The local staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest problem was the fact my uhaul boxes could not be delivered to my new home location. When I called, I was told that uhaul couldn't deliver to my location and we need to use move help which I found out would charge $1000 to ship my containers. I would have to unload then immediately. When I asked what's the max miles to deliver, no one could actually tell me. I was then transferred to internal support, who was the rudest person I've talked to at uhaul. He basically said I have no options but to pick up my stuff or pay the money. When I asked before hand I was told they delivered to my new location. If I knew I'd have these issues I would have used PODS. What I had to do was drive 78 miles with another uhaul truck, unload the pods myself, drive back, use another company for storage by my new location, and unload again. The whole point I wanted to use uboxes was so I could unload them at my leasure. I would have happily paid the monthly fee for 4 boxes till I was done. Now im paying someone else. You guys should credit me for the truck I had to rent to go get my own stuff to load and unload or I will vow to never use uhaul again and will make sure no one else will. Again no one asked y'all to take my boxes so far away from my house. Y'all did that on your own (78 miles away). This was the worst experience of moving I've ever had.

We originally were scheduled to pick up here, but they could not figure out a way to rent me what I reserved from that location. When we originally went to pick up the vehicle, we stood in the office for 10 min or so before anyone ever came out and acknowledged us.

Employees and general manager should be more attentive and geared towards customer service. There's a lack of attention to customers when in the store. I've been here a few times and the employees are always snacking and carrying on their conversations during customer transactions are being done.

Truck was not held foe reservation. Equipment was not available even though previously reserved. Truck was dirty. Customer service was not attentive. After being told the truck was not available and having to get a larger vehicle, it took over 30 minutes to process the order as they kept handing it of or making other guests a priority

Fees were not explained. I was charged additional charges and was not explained. When I called customer service I was put in hold for over an hour and the representative left me on hold. I have used Uhaul numerous times over the years and this was by far the worst.

Reserved a 10x15x10 unit and when I went to get it I was told it was no longer available. I was then given a 10x10x10 unit. Once I was charged, I realized that it was was inside and the unit that was given to me was not there. So I ended up having to get a bigger unit. It was a very frustrating situation and even though I did end up with a unit it was bigger and more expensive than what I have originally wanted to reserve.

When we arrived to pick up the trailer we had to wait for it to be checked in from the previous day's drop off; When we arrived to return the trailer-early-we followed the directions to to equipment return, went in to check out where we told we would receive an final invoice via email. We sat in our vehicle waiting for instructions on where to park the trailer, but no one came out to direct us. Then, a truck pulled in behind us for return check-in. An employee came out and we thought she would direct us to a return location, but she started checking in the truck that came in behind us!!! We finally just found a place to park the damn trailer on our own and offloaded on our own! If you can't afford to adequately staff the location you should reduce the number of rentals you reserve. I still haven't received a final contract via email.

I was contacted by an employee for the reservation I was doing online at the shepherd location in Houston, tx. She told me her location did not have what I needed so she sent me to the one on 34th st in Houston, tx and they did not even have the 20ft truck or the dolly we needed even though I was told they would have all of the stuff. Completely unsatisfied.

UHaul website said they were closed on Sunday so I dropped the keys in the drop box then noticed the garage door was up. I went inside - they said they would check my truck in within 5-10 minutes. Well over 24 hours later truck was not checked in and I was charged a late fee. By the way, they had already re-rented the truck. They finally reversed the charges after many calls to regional offices and many hours on hold with this location.

Overall I was happy with the equipment and the people I met at the two locations. However, the confusion about the trailer drop off was a real head scratcher. That it took three 30 minute calls for someone to finally provide drop off details for the trailer that I picked up for you in Herndon, VA was troubling. U-Haul owns this space. There was no key dropbox to return my keys after hours as there was supposed to be. I had to return the next day with the keys after waiting 30 minutes for a customer service agent to advise me. OnSite staff have no answer as to why there was no key Dropbox.

Renting the truck was a breeze. Agent was very professional and thorough. Returning the truck however was horrible. I stood in line waiting for about 30 mins in an empty store. Both agents were outside while customers were inside waiting. 1 customer left because she was waiting in line long before I arrived. The first agent came in and assisted the man in line before me but didn't even apologize for the wait. The other agent came in and didn't greet or apologize either. It appears he came in to escape the sun for a few mins and didn't offer to help me or even acknowledge the other customers. When I noticed he was heading back out I mentioned that I've been in line for 30 mins to return a truck and I need to be helped. He said oh, you can just drop the key off right there and then he exited. Bad customer service 0 out of 5 stars!

1) improve wait time to check out the vehicle, it took over an hour wait to get my truck rental & I was charged for time I didn't get to use the truck which is unacceptable. 2) improve ease of mobile check in, it took so long to figure out how to check in that my rental order was canceled while I was in the parking lot of the U Haul store. 3) Improve hold wait times when calling customer service, I waited over an hour to speak with someone.
