I ask that the desk staff be a bit nicer. The person who gave me the truck didn't know about the request for the trailer to be delivered. Then didn't hook it up right, didn't give me $ back for returned boxes, and was rude when I left without checking the truck back in. I'm still waiting on my reimbursement for my trailer delivery. And now I still owe money to the drop off place! And no one has contacted me about how to resolve this!????Tammy D.

While this location was very helpful and friendly, my experience using the website was not. I used the website to reserve a truck and moving supplies I needed 5 days prior to when I needed them. The day of the move I get a phone call 3.5 hours prior to when I'm supposed to pickup everything up saying while they do have my truck available they didn't have any of the supplies (dollies, furniture blankets, pads, etc) I had reserved. I was told that I would need to call around to other locations to see if they had any. I asked if they could just move my reservation to where I could get everything I needed in one stop. I was told by the first person that I would need to call the corp number and they could do that. So I called and after 30 minutes was told they could switch my reservation for the truck but couldn't guarantee anyone would have the supplies. The question I asked corp was why am I able to reserve trucks/supplies and then only to find out there would be an issue 3.5 hours prior to pickup. And for that matter, when I was told after them not having what I reserved, the response was that I would have to find the solution. To me, not a great way to interact with a customer. I will certainly think twice before using them again and will share my experiences with whomever I come in contact with. I'm just hoping this experience is a one off compared to what others have experienced.Michael B.

The staff when I picked up the truck was not very helpful. They basically handed me a key and pointed me to a field full of trucks and told me to go find my truck. The transmission on the truck was clearly in need of repair as I had to fight it for 1,000 miles. I feel bad for the employees at this location. There were hundreds of people dropping off u-haul rentals that day. And many of them were not supposed to be at that location. Not the employees fault, I don't think. HOWEVER - our rental was to be dropped off at that location and the rental return did not get checked in properly. I received several calls saying we had not returned our unit. Finally I asked them to see if it had been re-rented since our drop off and it had been.....multiple times. I would recommend this location, but I'd definitely tell them a few things. The lot is a crazy! Cars going all directions, equipment and rentals everywhere. Park where you can and hope you're not blocked in when you're ready to go. I don't see it being the employee's fault at all. Possibly the place isn't big enough to accommodate everything and everyone. Also, a couple of employees gave off the post office / DMV employee vibe of I'd rather be anywhere else than here. I needed a pickup truck and trailer that I reserved online a month in advance. They tried to have me rent a box truck for $330 because they didn't have a pickup with a hitch when I got there. Which is not my problem. So luckily I was told if I had a hitch I could use my own which I did. Then the truck was also running on a spare tire. The staff member that initially waited on me was rude. He did not explain things clearly as I had not done this type of transaction before . I had a lot of questions. He did not understand the meaning of patience. He neglected to explain how to access the building with the key pads until I went back and asked for him to show me how. He did not offer to sell or give me a lock. Then he moved on to the next customer before he was finished with me. I had to get another person to assist me. Pick-up process took too long. Printer wasn't working. Staff was less than professional in their presentation. Perhaps they had been overwhelmed with start of the fall semester at TAMU. The truck they issued to me had no license plate. The second truck they issued to me had to be found in the back 40 lot. The truck appears to have never been maintained. No windshield washer fluid; wipers were crap, which is a safety issue; drivers window crank handle was broken off; steering wheel material was disintegrating; cab was extremely dirty throughout as if it had never been wiped down or vacuumed.Mark C.

My experience was terrible the location I picked up at changed trucks and didn't give me new paperwork so when I turned the truck in at my destination I was charged 291$ in extra miles which didn't happen and $15 for gas that was over when I turned it in. The week of A&M move-in for the semester is a crazy time. They were buried in trailers, and the normally great location simply got overwhelmed. I'd suggest having some extra staff available to help customers with the load/unload process and another crew moving trailers to avoid the congestion associated with customers who aren't normally â€œtrailer friendly.â€David C.

Dear UHaul, We have several complaints concerning the U-Box Order #24977341 (Box AB4749C), shipping from MA. This is among our several emails sending to you. We did not get any response for our previous emails. The Order was supposed to arrive at College Station on 8/17/2022, as you could see in the attached pdf file. However, when we came to pick up the box, the UHaul store at College Station gave us a completely different box #24977343 (Box AB4678C), as you could see in the attached photos. The more serious problem is that even though UHaul realized that they shipped the wrong box (Box AB4678C) to us, UHaul does not plan to ship the correct box (Box AB4749C) to us given the fact that our box is still with the UHaul store in MA: â€˜' the store is not planning to ship it from what I'm seeing''. Below is the message that the UHaul store in College Station sent to our Texas Best Movers College Station: â€˜' So here's what happened if you want to explain to your customer. The store in Massachusetts she moved from shipped one box down here which is the box you guys just picked up AB4678c however they also have another box under her name that is not set up to ship. That box number is the one you have under your contract it is box ab4749c which as I said has not shipped and the store is not planning to ship it from what I'm seeing.'' We called the UHaul store in MA to ship the correct box (Box AB4749C) to us. They apologized for their mistake and promised to ship the box. There is very little climate control in the climate controlled units. It was over 85-90degrees I realized after I paid. I didn’t even use my unit because it was too hot…intolerable especially with my health conditions (heat causes me hives). Also there was very little parking and the parking was very difficult to get to. I paid for a month of climate controlled storage I could not use! I tried to go back to the office the same day I rented to ask for a refund but the air conditioning was out so they had the doors open! It was over 100 degrees outside! There was a line & I could not wait in the heat due to my health conditions so I left. Then when I went to check out of the unit I was told I had to go up to the unit, get the lock off and bring it to the desk even though when I rented the unit the lock was already on the unit door!Katherine M. | Overall Experience

So… The staff and normal operations at this you all are fine; They were respectful and diligent, but they have been given an impossible job to do, the site is newer and has good amenities, but the site needs to hire about six to ten times as many employees to handle the move in season at Texas A&M, this is a predictable flood/tsunami of incoming business, and the business should definitely hire at least six more full-time agents for move-in time. The site and all the sites around it were covered in trailers trucks etc…Literally hundreds of trailers and trucks parked in every conceivable place in every direction… and it was almost impossible to move vehicles in or out, this is really not the fault Of the manager or staff working there, they did all they could, but whoever oversees staffing this site next to Texas A&M University definitely needs to rethink their staffing idea for the arrival of the students for the school year at a university with 66,000 students! Pretty inexcusable, really! Uhaul is always the worst. I booked at 26 and confirmed: then I was calluses and said I had to go to another facility so I agreed. Then called because there was no 26 and I had to have a 17. Then at pickup wait took forever because your people are slow. Then there was a stack of 20 footers a available. Why was I not offered one of these at booking? I had 3 u-boxes. One was bracketed shut with square headed screws. I asked the 4 grown men working there and they didn’t know what I was talking about and didn’t care. My tools were in the box. Luckily I had a tiny bit set and pliers. The 2nd box had an alphabetical padlock. Talked to a dozen people easily. Nobody knew anything. The 3rd box was bolted shut. I just did it myself. The storage access codes were malfunctioning at the time of move-in. It took a RIDICULOUS amount of time with little resolution. The reason for my rating is because I rented a 10×10×8 storage and it was clearly not what I rented. On 10/19/2021 was my first time seeing the storage because my daughter put my belongings into the storage for me because I lived in Baton Rouge, LA before moving here this past weekend. I was charged $150 on a smaller storage. And I knew it was smaller because the way they had to store a one bedroom of furniture in there. There were free dollies to help with getting things into the storage space which was very nice, and the service elevator and main doors were nice and spacious during office hours, but the office closed early, and then the side doors were much narrower and more difficult to move bulky items through. First after talking to someone on the phone that assured me I would have a unit by the time needed. When we got there to check in the representative was not sure. That just added huge amounts of anxiety. Next, my daughter made a trip to move out of storage on aug 2, 2021. The store personnel told her that the storage was closed and she had no access as they had trucks everywhere. We pay to have access and should have been able to move out that day. Yesterday when I came to check out two young black guys helped me as I can not walk well! They were both very professional and super helpful! They took the key and removed the lock from the door, and they brought me out a copy if my receipt, and looked at the picture of my unit! They both gave me condolences of my husband passing. Staff was very helpful. Great location. Units appear to be in good condition physically. Very convenient hours. Good security system. But the storage facility smells like urine in the hallways and there is a rat traps/poison in our storage unit which causes concern that my stuff will become rat invested, or smell of dead rats in a few months. The reason I rated this poor is because on the move-in day I tried to contact the local and 1-800 number 9 times and was on hold for a total of 1.5 hours and never got through to someone. I realize people are busy but there should be an option to leave a message and expect a TIMELY call back. The recording kept saying that 'someone will be with me shortly and calls are answered by the order received; honestly i don't think my call would have ever been answered. I have been in the facility whenever someone was waiting on a person at the counter and answered the phone, "U-Haul please hold' and didn't get back to them. This website said to contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.'
