Customer service is garbage.. they don't know that there doing
CHRISTOPHER PStop telling people to go online to rent your vehicles, let your staff do the job, it's very difficult to do it myself and some other customers I met there.
SUNNY OApp didn't upload photo so the girl at counter was very nice and helped out quickly. Prefer just dealing with someone at counter than online. Staff helpful, app not so much.

JOSEPH CRented an enclosed trailer due to the poor weather we are having and the roof leaked badly from the seams all over a teak table and china hutch we were moving. Trailer was getting a bit tired. Staff was excellent tho for pick up and return.

ROBERT PToday, I arrived exactly at the scheduled pickup time, and when I went to the counter for the pickup, the employee's behavior was hard to understand. The employee was clearly handling my pickup information, but when another customer arrived, they started assisting the other customer instead. It was a very unpleasant action.

Jonathan DWhy on earth did U-Haul move to a FORCED use of the app for rental? My last experience with rental was simple. Go to the store, show drivers license, rent, pay, and done. This time I was FORCED to download an app, FORCED to create an account, FORCED to share a photo of my driver's license with UHAUL which I am told simply that the data is deleted after the rental is complete (but where is the guarantee of this?). On top of this, the app didn't even work half the time. At several stages I was sent a text message from the app to my phone number. Why am I being sent text messages if there is an app? Why not use the app to deliver a message or notification??? In addition to this, the links provided in the text message did not work in ANY browser (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) and all resulted in "Connection Refused" messages. This was an abysmal experience, and for the sake of my data privacy I will only use UHAUL as a last resort in the future. Whoever came up with these "enhanced experiences" should think again and find another job stream.

DAVID GMake sure you are aware of promos offered from other locations before renting trucks. Also if you offer $0.60 a L for gas not $1.92 then honor it and this was at pickup even before we got the truck. I was charged the higher price. Not happy at all.

KIMBERLY MThe online system was so disappointing. I use U-Haul, which is more expensive and out of the way for me, just because I can rely on a staff person to walk me through. If it's just me and a phone, there is no point in returning. Otherwise the truck was fine.

CHRISTINE SI did an after hours drop off using the U-Haul app, so I really cannot comment on any of the above at this time (we'll have to see if there are any problems with the drop off using the U-Haul app). In the past, however, I have found the staff at this location to be very good and have only had good experiences with them.
KENNETH BRented a auto transport for 1 day. Picked it up after noon. Returned it at 8pm same.day. they charged me 2 day rental. Still, have not received full refund. Only partial..

Shane Awhen i picked the truch it has a gas of 60km/hr limit, when i returned it was same 60km/hr but they charge me more for the gas which was very disappointing. also when i picked they mentioned i have whole day of Sunday to return but around 10 ammorning m getting a call that i have to return before 11 am.

Wade SParking lot needs attention. People with their returns are always blocking the driveway entrance. They need to organize the entrance way to the lot. Too much stuff and trucks always parked in the entrance way.

Martinus VI reserved a truck for 1pm. At 11am I called asking if I could get the truck for 12pm, the lovely girl who works the counter checked and said my truck was there and available for pick up early. At 1130am I recieved a call from another woman saying my truck was not there and the only replacement truck would be there at 3pm. Thankfully I got the replacement truck, but this delayed my move. Which ended up taking 2 days to move instead of 1, adding extra kilometers to my travel resulting in additional money I had to pay. When I asked for a discount because of the inconvenience I was told I didn't have to pay the extra $10 for the bigger truck I got. I ended up paying $70 additional for the kilometers and $50 to put gas in the tank as I recieved the truck empty. This is by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE

Glenn CI have a general complaint. I reserved a truck from the Lindsay location and was then told last minute that it was being canceled. I then had to get a truck from the Oshawa location (where everyone was very professional) but this resulted in me having to pay much more for the additional mileage I put on the truck. If there is any way for a rebate, that would be a nice gesture. Thanks.
STEPHEN DPick up was easy but application halted before gas and mileage verification so I had to.use support chat to finish check out process.
Bill EFix the app/website to be more accurate as to what size trucks are available. Had a 26' truck booked for 3 weeks and at pick up no 26' trucks were available. Had to take a smaller truck and make 2 trips to get moved. Was slightly irritating. But staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be with what they had to work with.

CHRISTEL AI would give the customer the option if they want to use a dolly at the point of rental and not have it take up space on the truck that is needed to move or fit things in., we needed up breaking the tab so we could fit our king size frame.

The thing also i like about this facility is there's no elevator waiting time, sonyoundont have to waste time going up and down. and also there is a like a courtesy cart that you can use to move your stuff. Michale C | Overall ExperienceArrived after hours so no option to speak to anyone, so had to do this all through the mobile check in. No lock with the unit, though I was told there was one. Luckily I brought my lock from my other storage unit so it worked out nicely. Would have been a huge pain if I didn't bring my lock. When returning the truck we almost dropped the keys in the key drop without reading the notice above the key drop, asking us to take pictures of the truck. There was no light on this area so we almost missed this VERY important/required step of the truck return process (this was about 11PM, so very dark). Please install a light so we can see this signage before keys are accidentally dropped.

It did take some time but they were resolved because of the diligence of the staff there. I did not choose to pay the extra fee to access my unit after 5 p.m. I felt the fees were high enough that that should be included. Like I said staff was great head office mediocre. I would recommend this storage site Thank you

I reported it to the staff Saturday March 19th, 2022. And no one has contacted me about it at all. I need to be re-embursed for all the stuff that I've lost. Juan C | Overall ExperienceI make a reservation two weeks in advance for a 26 foot truck. They didn't have any 26 foot so I ended up with a 20 ft that I got from Whitby. I am moving out of a 5 bedroom house and that was very inconvenient as we have to make multiple trips which takes longer. On top of that I rented a storage and was denied access at mins after 7pm. I called customer service they can't help. I got the managers number no answer. I am still stuck at m house with the truck full of my stuff because no access to the storage that I paid for.very disappointed and I have to close the deal on my house today November 1st at 11:30, still stuck with a truck load in the driveway and I am not finish moving my stuff because of this. Big blow to my head I'm very stress . Thanks uhaul for bringing my stress level up.

She was friendly and gave me excellent customer service, along with the other gentleman who helped unhitch my trailer and inspect the truck. THERE IS NO AFTER HOUR SERVICE.

BRENT M | Online Move InI called this location prior to booking the storage unit to confirm that I would qualify for the first month free and was told I would if I presented a reservation number for my uhaul truck rental. I also called the Ajax location prior to, as that one was closer to me, but they confirmed they aren't running this promotion so I booked with this location instead. When I showed up at the counter to check-in I was declined the one month free and was told to pay the first month immediately. I had no choice as I was paying movers by the hour and we had already showed up at the location! So I paid but I will be putting in a complaint with head office and the better business bureau. Also, upon moving into the storage facility, I witnessed another storage unit owner going through their unit and laughing as a mouse ran out of one of the boxes. The storage unit was packed with junk so it comes as no surprise it would be harbouring rodents! The staff and condition of this uhaul storage facility are one in the same - below average!

There was no other choice for me and had to store some of my items in my friends grage. Very disappointed.

It was also convenient as I had to return the truck. It took forever to do the paperwork though considering I had done it on the phone when I reserved it. Thank God the staff was absolutely phenomenal which made it a bit better
