This store and it's employees are great, but my experiences with truck share and mobile services were awful. They connected me to incorrect store from reservations and I took an Uber to the store I wanted, waited for 2 and a half hours for someone to come get me as when I went to complete mobile check in, the wrong store came up. No Ubers available that night after I got dropped off. I called and was put on hold for 48 minutes and told there would be a â€œcompensation letterâ€. I also requested recordings of my phone calls. I have received neither. I also ordered moving help but the movers canceled on me. The store manager helped me get a refund. There was nothing in the Uhaul receipt or order to contact them for a refund and the movers told me to go to my Uhaul receipt or order to do this. I was left with no way to contact them. I have rented twice since that night, using online reservation with mobile pick up, both times I was unable to use mobile pick up. I had to go inside and pay and sign at counter (those experiences were fine- just wanted to use mobile to avoid waiting in line). To improve, you can fix the reservation and mobile ordering/pick-up system, actually send recordings when requested like you say you will, and actually send compensation letters when you say you will. Also, include a link to the moving contractor's business so we can call them directly when we need refunds.Sheri J.

The only issue I had was your website not working to do my after hours return. It said my location wasn't sharing despite me turning on every single location sharing setting. Then when I tried calling to speak to a rep I sat on the phone for over 20 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. I was finally able to complete my return using my girlfriends phone. The service itself was fine, each employee we dealt with was very nice and helpful, but I was so DONE with the way U-Haul handles their information updating. Because the reservation was under my name and number, I was DOOMED to be the only person U-Haul would call, despite the fact I had filled out a thing saying to call my partner with ANYTHING having to do with our order, since I work weird retail hours and she was inbetween jobs- U-haul would NOT stop calling and contacting ME, and I wouldn't receive the calls until after the deadlines given to me. My partner was NEVER contacted throughout this entire process, DESPITE me filling that thing out on my order AND us making multiple calls asking them to change the primary number to my partner's because she would be available to take any calls! When I had called to change my card information, that also didn't save and my previous card was still charged (and declined, since we were going to use a different card, so our order got delayed an extra day. Doesn't sound bad except we were on the floor for the last two weeks and feeling ancient by that point). It's a dang shame, too, because the Box experience made moving pretty dang easy, but U-Haul just COULD NOT manage to get their crap together and made this whole thing way more stressful than necessary. It should be NO issue to call the number I had put down as the number to contact about the boxes (like, why ask if no one is going to look at it??), or change the primary number like we tried to multiple times, or check the notes saying "please call so and so for such and such" like we had asked, multiple times. Something so small and unavoidable, too. God.Taylor H.

Make sure 2 reservations don't get made for 1 truck. Spent over 3 hrs trying to get a truck because "mine" was not available due to another customer picking up prior to my arrival. Even though I made a reservation few days prior using the customer service phone number/schedule dept.GUADALUPE P.
We scheduled the 24/7 pickup for 6:00 in the morning on the day we were moving. We had people coming to help us at 7 am. We got to the U Haul location only to be informed when we tried to get our Uhaul that it wasn't available until the store opened at 9 am (2 hours AFTER we needed it). There was no email to let us know beforehand, and we were literally screwed. All Uhaul did was give us the number of a different facility that opened at 8 and refund us $50. We had people meeting us to help load, and people meeting us at 10 to help unload and we basically had to turn them away because we had no truck to load into. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you are going to offer 24/7 service, then make sure it is actually available. If it is not, a little communication goes a LONG way.TROY C.

Everything was ok until I returned the tow dolly. They did a great job hooking the dolly up. But on return, the two girls working were very unprofessional. I say that for this reason. No one greeted me when I pulled up. The one gal proceeded to disconnect the dolly while the other girl was consumed with her cell phone. I asked her a simple question and she answered without looking away from her phone. I felt like I was bothering them. I was the only customer that I could tell they were working with. I had a great experience with U-Haul Moving & Storage At San Tan Mountains. The facility is clean with comfortable temperatures. The staff is friendly. They have 24 access at an additional charge, if requested. I did not have 24 hour access and when I was moving my belongings into the unit it ran a little long and I ended up being locked out of the facility with a few large items still in the moving truck. I was able to get in touch with the General Manager, Kristara, at 10 PM on her personal # which is listed on multiple signs throughout the facility. While it was clear I woke her up she was more than accommodating and remotely granted me 24 access to the storage unit for the night so I could finish moving in. I was very impressed with the customer service of the entire staff and Kristara deserves extra recognition. I appreciate the service and would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in need of moving and storage services.Greg B. | Overall Experience

I lost my booking but the location I was sent to 2nd was unwilling to give me one of four units they ad because they had 30 reservations for them. Only concern I would have is when we were moving into the storage facility in August the exterior lights did not come on at dusk and we were told they were on a timer and it made it difficult to see outside until the lights came on. First I find it very hypocritical and disrespectful that they are telling their customers to wear masks when none of their staffs wears them ever. My issues started right away when I went to open the unit and they put it under my fathers name instead of mine, even though I told them multiple times the unit was for me. This caused problems with charging for the unit which resulted in my having to pay late fees. They had me buy one of their locks for the unit, then a couple months later denied me access to my unit until I bought another kind of lock from them. Saying that it's part of their policy but there was nothing like that in the contract. Now I'm finally closing the unit and decide to rent a 10" truck for my move to Florida. They wouldn't "hold a reservation" for us saying it was "first come, first serve", which makes the point of a reservation pointless. When we arrived a day early for fear that they wouldn't have a truck for us, we found their lot was filled with 10' trucks, so I don't know why they couldn't reassure us that they had a truck for us. As we were checking out the storage room, the attendant closed out the account which subsequently locked us out of the storage room, when we had already informed him that we were about to clear it out. They said just go unlock the room and the alarm will sound for a little bit. Great security right there. The staff here is unfriendly, unprofessional and unhelpful. We had to go find the truck ourselves! The truck they gave us WAS. NOT. CLEAN. But neither were the other ones that day. We found all kinds of debris, and even a used mask left inside the truck. The driver side windshield wiper is broken and scratching the window. The passenger front headlight is obviously loose and is almost like a strobe while driving. As we are half way through the move, driving through Texas, the oil gauge starts to drop and the truck wouldn't shift into gears correctly without making a popping sound. It was also at this time the brake felt a little wobbly too. Why call for a reservation when they aren't going to inspect the vehicle for a long distance drive?!? They were told over the phone where the vehicle was heading. The least they could've done was make sure it was operational. This location is the absolute worst and no one should ever store their belongings here or rent any vehicles from them.MICHAEL J. | Overall Experience

We needed a place to store a majority of our belongings during a remodel and move. We selected the UHaul location because it was climate controlled, affordable and easily accessible. After 10 months of storing our stuff we were ready to move out and the process couldn't have been any easier. All of our items were clean, the unit remained free of dirt, debris and bugs/rodents. Zero issues. The facility is very well kept and cleaned. Every time we visited the unit we saw cleaning crews taking care of things. The staff were superb and the facility is first class. The only draw back is trying to reach the location directly by phone. There does not appear to be an option for leaving a message at that location as the majority of the calls go directly to the U Haul call center. Agent needs more training. Didn't quite know what storage spaces were available via screen. I made reservations months ago and was told that 'your space is guaranteed'. When I checked with actual location they said 'sorry-no '35 ft spaces are available'. I explained what I was told about my reservations but they just said can't help you'. My only concern is the automatic lights did not come on at the unloading dock right away as it got dark. It made it difficult to see while moving in. Just need to adjust the timer. Also, there wasn't a trash can near the unloading dock to throw away trash as you clean the truck to turn in.
