It was a little frustrating that despite using the online service (â€œ24/7â€) to make my reservation in advance, the equipment and vehicle wasn't ready when I arrived. If I didn't have two crying toddlers in my car, the extra 20 minutes wouldn't have been a problem. I don't fault the location employees as much as I fault the U-Haul customer and online service, as they seem to overstate the ease of the the â€˜easy peasy' 24/7 pickupGEORGE M.

The location was very good. The reservation system on the website however was highly frustrating. I tried to reserve a small truck for about 6 hours. The drop down menu provided pick up times from like 330am thru 730 am. I tried a number of alternatives, but the only way I could set up a reservation that allowed me to pick up the truck during business hours was to set it for 4 hours with a pick-up time at 830. Knowing that I would not be able to get to the center until about 10am, I tried to call the 800 number but got bounced around a number of times as no one could find a solution. After being put on hold for a while I gave up. Upon arrival at the center a bit after 10am, I was told that my reservation was about to be cancelled and that with a 4 hour window, the truck was already committed beginning at 1pm. After explaining my problem, the lady at the center was able to find another truck that was not committed until 3pm. The point of all this is that your reservation system (and the support team) need a LOT of work. The lady at the center was great at helping me navigate my situation.Charles C.

Box was 5 days late and took 3 weeks to deliver to my address. Then after being told there would be no storage fee I was send a bill for storage and late fees. Anthony in transportation was the only one who was honest and nice to me. I have one last call to him to get refunded for the box being 5 days late and to eliminate the storage and late fees. I hope that goes well or Yelp will hear from me in the first time in my life, BTW the woman who picked up my box in CA was awesome.janet J.

I wanted a car trailer and was told I could not rent one. There were over 15 car trailers on the lot. Instead I was rented a piece of JUNK tow dolly that NO ONE TOLD ME I COULD NOT BACK UP! That would have been a nice piece of information to know before we left, then the left front strap kept falling off!!! No patter how tight and straight I got it it would fall off!! PIECE OF JUNK!!! Then the guy that I paid to hook up the car wanted to charge me 20 bucks for two 4 inch long 2x4 to unload the car!!! I gave him $5 for the 2x4. This place give UHAUIL a BAD NAME!!! Will try Ryder next time! And don't tell me my 1/2 ton 2018 GMC 4x4 will not pull that trailer, I saw a pickup, a Chevrolet Colorado, half the truck mine is pulling on of those U-Haul trailers. The customer experience at this location is like that of a DMV, terribly inefficient and unpleasant. I was told the day I was picking up my Uhaul that my truck didn't have a cable to light up the lights on the trailer hitch. I asked if they could do anything about it, and the Uhaul employee said no. I panicked and started calling everywhere for help to no avail. The next day, which is also the day I left the city, I went early in the morning and another employee told me they had plenty of availability to get the issue resolved. When I asked why I was told otherwise the day before, I was told the other employee didn't know what he was doing... exactly what you want to hear after spending a whole evening panicking about how to move your stuff... In terms of efficiency, there are always long lines given that there are one or two people working the counter. Further, I've visited multiple times, and I've never been there without overhearing someone's horrid experience at the place. As an example, the people in front of me couldn't take their trailer because it was locked. When they asked about how to take the lock off, the employees scrambled trying to figure out how to do so. Ultimately, they had to call another employee to come and unlock it. The people in front of me were charged an extra day for this despite it not being their fault.Ramiro F.

The person who was at counter when I went to pick up rental is not suited for customer service. No one else in store and chose to call someone who would pick up vehicle hours later. I was standing. Waiting and after the call she decided to greet me. The truck was filthy with cakes on gook. The truck had no ability to accelerate from a stop. The vehicle were parked in an area that made it difficult to leave. An unidentifiable UHaul employee came over to tell me how to get out and was not helpful. I exited the truck and indicated he could get the vehicle out. He did so, smirked and left the truck so I could exit the property. The only employee who was courteous was the young man who took the truck when I'd dropped off. The money I spent was not worth the rental and unable to gas up because the gear shift kept sticking and lodged while trying to move in and out of reverse. I will be posting negative reviews and tell everyone I know that renting from UHaul is an experience that's requires the customer to do all the work themselves.Rachel Q.

There were a lot of issues regarding the storage for move. The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. During this time, he had put his lunch off, and was bouncing between assisting many other big issues with customers. It was only him and another worker. I've been using their storage for 2+mths now. And every time I come in, everyone is always so helpful and welcoming and in a content/relaxed/nice mood. If they can't help, they'll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. I had to return a trailer half way through my trip and upgrade to a moving truck and a car transport because my little Ford ranger was struggling to pull the trailer. Technically, because this wasn't where I was supposed to return it, it was a "wrong location" and I couldn't return it. But couldn't figure out where I could return it. I called 1800gouhaul and got transfered 6+ times. Each employee claimed that they didn't have access to the info I needed. They couldn't make changes and didn't know why the previous person sent me to them. I think each employee should be granted access to everyone's order, be able to see all their info, and make changes. Everything is online these days. I should be able to contact an employee in a random state and they should be able to tell me where I can drop stuff off and make changes to my order. Each time I called to figure out drop off locations there was a 10+ minute wait. Calling 1800gouhaul again, I wanted to change my drop-off location because it wasn't the same as the storage location. The telephone line said that I could change it online. I would have preferred to do it over the phone. But after another 10-15+ min wait, I gave up. When I went online, neither my wife or I could figure out how to do it online. We asked the guys at the storage location if we could just drop it off there? They replied, oh, no. If you do that, we'll have to charge you double. Fruatrated, we just took it to the other location and dropped it off. Storage locations are free for the first month. Unless you don't have a round padlock. Then you charge me 10$?! I already had my own regular padlock with me, ready to go but you said, oh no, they can't be that type of lock. It has to be a round one. When I went to lock it up, my lock fit just as well as yours did. That was a totally unnecessary move on your part. The self storage container had two tears in the roof covered in white duck tape. What if it rains hard? Duck tape won't keep the water out.RAY G. | First Impressions
