your return app needs work and both college station's locations need clear and concise location where someone can scan to return item afterhours. lost 45 minutes this time and 1hour last time at other location on Texas. Both Texas locations do no have proper stickers up in order to scan....Each time I returned the trailer early. this was my 27th rental since May 2022

Brooke McIntoshI had to wait at least 30 minutes, then I was told that the trailer was not ready because it had not been cleaned out after being returned. I waited an extra 15 to 20 minutes to finally get it. Some of employees were very frustrated with I really don't know what and they even made comments about wanting to quit. Apparently something is going on at that location and it showed. I would like for some one to call me. Thanks

ELIZABETH MAINEZMade my installation appointment over the phone, was not able to attend and they quickly rescheduled it. Once I got there, they immediately took my vehicle to get it installed, and I waited around 30 minutes before they were done. Great and quick service.

John WyattThe lady that rented me the trailer did not have very good people skills. She didn't explain why she needed to know where I was taking "her" trailer. I felt like telling her that it was none of her business where I was taking "her" trailer, but since I needed it I felt like I had no choice and the she needed an additional phone number of someone else for what reason she never mentioned it either. Then I drop off the trailer about 4 or 5 hrs after renting it around 1ish and then at 8ish pm I get a call asking when I was going to return the trailer. I'm not sure on who is in charge, but I had a terrible experience, but unfortunately what can I do about it, but type my frustration and hopefully I will not get charge a late and/or for another rental day and then have to wait weeks until I get reimbursed. We'll see

One employee guy kept saying he hadn’t been trained well enough and he’d only been there two months and what should’ve been a simple pick up turned into a two hour hassle.. I had made a reservation for the tUhaul four days earlier and was handed my print out that I was supposed to bring to just pick up the U-Haul and it turned into a giant fiasco and I will tell everybody to never go to that location and I did all day today by the way. one of the employees kept saying that my trip to San Antonio to Austin would be 145 miles each way when it is actually only 65 miles so it was gonna cost me $500 instead of the 66+ gas I was told by the person who helped me when I reserved it. The third employee who finally showed up, seemed to know more than the other two, but had the worst attitude, and was acting like somehow all of this was my fault. All of this misinformation was my fault, and it made sure to tell me it wasn’t their fault because it was so-and-so, who wasn’t at work today, who gave me the wrong information. I just don’t understand how a truck advertised for 2995 and of course adding insurance and refilling it with gas should cost anybody $500 when they’re just going to austin and back . I wonder if any of them actually graduated high school and whoever trained them needs to try it again. I’d give it zero stars if I could , and I never do this sort of thing.

Leslie EricksonThey need better signage telling customers where the door is. It is a huge location with parking in front of what they call the "maintenance area." Since customers can't go into the garage area, they have to walk all the way around this large building to get in a well hidden door on the back side.
Wilbert QuickExcellent service. If a customer has a preference and there’s availability, the Chevy Silverado compared to the Dodge Ram makes way more power. Much better for hauling

I received mine with 1/4 tank of gas, which made it very hard and inconvenient to coordinate the return with that exact level of gas. Simply hand out the trucks with a full tank, please. And overcharge those customers who decide to return it not full. That would be best practice here.

Carlos CastilloVehicle was very dirty. Windshield and side mirrors were very dirty. Lot loader would not help adjust side mirrors. I spoke with the manager about the dirty vehicle and the poor customer service from the lot loader,. The manager responded she did not have the staff to wash vehicles, clean side mirrors and adjust mirrors for customer safety. Tail light on vehicle dolly was out. Had to replace windshield wipers Moving from San Antonio to Phoenix. Around Kerrville, TX it started to rain. It was at that point I discovered how inadequate the wipers were. I purchased new wipers in Ft Stockton. Uhaul on San Pedro and Basse location is where I started. I will never use that location for anything. Manager and lot loader owe me an apology and Uhaul should compensate me for being a substandard company.

Sonny Sterling | First ImpressionsThe only issue I had was that I came home from Iraq and tried accessing my unit. The key would not fit into the lock. I tired asking several of your employees what was going on and nobody knew anything. I was told I needed a supervisor to cut the lock. A few days later the supervisor was available. Just so happened to be the same day I hired a locksmith. Supervisor cuts the lock. Turns out my wife entered the unit while I was gone, she locked it in the open position. Someone at U-Haul out a new lock on and didn’t tell anyone about it or made a note in the system. So here I am, wasted 4 days trying to get into my unit and $50 out of pocket (locksmith fee). Other than that, you need more staff. There shouldn’t be a 30-45 min wait to get a vehicle because you have 1 person working the counter.

The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. His name was Matt Kalinec, he deserves a rise and praise. Will be sending him lunch for the lunch he put off to deal with our issue.

If they can’t help, they’ll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. They notified me quickly, fixed it, and made me feel like they really cared about me as a person. I greatly appreciate all the gentlemen I’ve came across there!
Breyanna Iyanobor | First ImpressionsI had to return a trailer half way through my trip and upgrade to a moving truck and a car transport because my little Ford ranger was struggling to pull the trailer. Technically, because this wasn't where I was supposed to return it, it was a "wrong location" and I couldn't return it. But couldn't figure out where I could return it. I called 1800gouhaul and got transfered 6+ times. Each employee claimed that they didn't have access to the info I needed. They couldn't make changes and didn't know why the previous person sent me to them. I think each employee should be granted access to everyone's order, be able to see all their info, and make changes. Everything is online these days. I should be able to contact an employee in a random state and they should be able to tell me where I can drop stuff off and make changes to my order. Each time I called to figure out drop off locations there was a 10+ minute wait. Calling 1800gouhaul again, I wanted to change my drop-off location because it wasn't the same as the storage location. The telephone line said that I could change it online. I would have preferred to do it over the phone. But after another 10-15+ min wait, I gave up. When I went online, neither my wife or I could figure out how to do it online. We asked the guys at the storage location if we could just drop it off there? They replied, oh, no. If you do that, we'll have to charge you double. Fruatrated, we just took it to the other location and dropped it off. Storage locations are free for the first month. Unless you don't have a round padlock. Then you charge me 10$?! I already had my own regular padlock with me, ready to go but you said, oh no, they can't be that type of lock. It has to be a round one. When I went to lock it up, my lock fit just as well as yours did. That was a totally unnecessary move on your part. The self storage container had two tears in the roof covered in white duck tape. What if it rains hard? Duck tape won't keep the water out.

He gave me my paperwork, access gate card and explained everything to me in 15 minutes. I asked him if business was busy,and he said yes, but he was calm and friendly. I appreciate this kind of customer service. Thank you Matt! Uhail, please give him an accommodation for excellent service, especially for being at the end of the day. My visit was on 4/29/21, check his name to make sure I’m correct. Thank you again!

Maybe you all should give me another 30days for the inconvenience of having to provide info that was, or should have already been, in their database about my reservation.
