We had 2 boxes and one got lost. Noticed the box was missing when we got the delivery notice. We had to make about 10 calls to the Pompano location and each time, we were on hold for at least an hour. When we called, waited 90 minutes, and finally got a person to answer, we explained the situation. The office person would say that they will look and get back to us. They never got back to us. It was only by calling over and over, that we ever got any information. The destination site was a completely different story. Didn't get call back on two cancelled orders twice an the truck had claim sticker's all over it no videos for me to hook up car dolly I had to look it up!! Plus I guess the car dolly I got had a bad tire on it I checked it the morning we Left the hotel an things were ok. I had been checking things out in Memphis Tennessee rest area an tread was coming off we waited for emergency roadside service and it took 4 hrs to get us back on the roadkenny L.
I have rented from this site before and it was great. But this time I rented a Van and it was super dirty, with a bad smell and even after using it we had an exaggerated itching in the body. We made the comment to the staff that received us unit and we hope that they listen to the suggestions of the clients. On this occasion I was not satisfied with the rent.Maria F.

Delivery to my home was 8 days late. I had to initiate communication after each time I was given a new delivery date, the first time I was told the driver was in the hospital ( No one reached out to tell me there would be no delivery. The next delivery window, again no delivery, again no one extended the courtesy of letting me know. When I called them, I was told they were overbooked and my delivery would be delayed yet again. The 4th delivery date, I again waited and nothing showed up, again I had to call and wait on hold to be told, Oh, we cannot deliver because our forklift is broken. I especially find it unacceptable that no one extended the courtesy to inform me after each excuse. When I asked about the $50 per day late fee, I was told since the uboxes arrived at their location it was not valid. What? Doesn't make sense. the kids and I slept on the floor without our belongings and were miserable, in addition, I spent money to buy things I already had in the boxes. It cannot be true that's long as the boxes arrive at the uhaul location the $50 per day late fee does not apply, your belongings could sit there for weeks creating a huge inconvenience, but according to several representatives, they are NOT late. I will continue to contact you directly and research my options in the hope of being compensated. Based on my experience I would not recommend using this service.David D.

This location gives U-haul, as a whole, a horrible reputation. The employees lack professionalism and courtesy. There is also a lack of communication. This is a huge training issue that needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY!!! They also need to do better with securing their fleet of vehicles being that we were told that they keep getting stolen. (Including the one that I reserved) Changes need to happen sooner than later!!Javier S.

My overall experience was good, however, each time I called, the computer was slow. It took a long time to get an answer to my questions, because the computer was slow. It is impossible to talk to your local UHaul by phone, you have to go to the site. After going there, they are so busy it takes a long time to talk to anyone. Each time I called, I was given a different price for the same service. I'm still not sure if I was charged correctly. However, almost everyone I spoke to was very pleasant and easy to deal with, even when they didn't know the answer, they were nice about it. I packed the box myself and everything was in perfect condition, when it arrived. No damage at all. The box arrived on time and was picked up on time. Moving was made much easier. There are other moving companies out there that do the same thing, but your prices are very competitive and UHaul is a name that I trust. I would definitely consider using you for my next move, but please, please hire more people at your local locations and hire some good techs for your computer program as I think you are losing a lot of business because of it.Alma M.

Shane Horton the U-Boxes manager was the best and made all the necessary corrections to ensure our boxes were scheduled and ready to go. Christine Mora, the scheduler did an excellent coordinating the deliver and have the drivers on time at our location for the drop off. Yes this was one of the most enjoyable move we ever had. Second time I have a gas related problem in this location. First time, they marked a quantity of gasoline in the contract, when I started the truck it was below the informed. I went back inside the store to communicate and they were making jokes about how it wasn't a big deal. Second time (now) they are charging me for gas, saying I should have returned with 1/4 and I didn't. I didn't return it in the app, but I have the receipt from the gas station. Anyway, I've been renting in uhaul for a long time, and I'm incredibly disappointed. The service at this location is terrible and makes me feel ripped off.Jose C.

I selected a location for my Uhaul pick up. When we went there, they didn't even have us in the system & they only had 1 truck reserved all weekend. They sent us down the street & that location did not have our name in the system either. Then I received a text with a different location & the guy working at the 2nd site kindly sent us to the correct location. However, although they had our reservation no trucks were available as many hadn't been returned. Staff was SUPER polite & as helpful as they could possibly be. An hour or so later, the woman who helped us called to see if we still wanted the truck & we took it. Thanks to her, our moving day worked out. She deserves a medal! And Uhaul has to make online reserving much better. Rough start but it worked out.Tina B.

The parking lot entrance was blocked by u boxes, so I was unable to get in and have to back out in reverse towards upcoming traffic. they should have placed a sign or employee to warn incoming customer about this issue. Finally when turn around and get to the return area I have to park in the opposite direction due to previous issues related above. I have to wait a lot of time to drop off the truck. I was improperly charged $537 for a replacement truck for the one that broke down 9 days earlier. They just randomly charged me $25 for Cleaning! I only drove the truck 10 miles! Truck was dirty inside and was really out of alignment master technician here 40 years. When picked up truck empty was pulling right once loaded even worst had a hard time keeping it straight with trailer one the back. The whole crew in the lot made up of kids learning no one knew how to hook up trailer. Then the one guy who did had an attitude and said if I do this you have tip me. Never have I been treated like this in my life. If I did this to my customers at Toyota Of Hollywood I would be terminated. The central uhaul was useless!! they made us drive another hour away with the promise of a truck at 7 am in the morning when we originally reserved. Reserved online to have rental ready to go at selected arrival time. Was not the case. Front desk staff lazy and pointed me to go find the truck myself "over in that row." Truck wasn't even there. Had to walk all the way around the other side of the storage lot where it was basically hidden and not around any other rental vehicles. The truck smelled and seat belt was gross to touch. When returning truck (before the max time) at 2 pm I drove the truck into designated area and waited as sign said for someone that is to come out and assist. NOBODY came. I had to walk inside where I found the front desk staff shooting the breeze with another employee. When I gave her back the key she stated that I'd get the bill later bc the attendant is on lunch. Change the way for extending a rental. I think it's very flawed that I can rent the uhaul for 23 hours and pay a set price but when I rent for 6 hours then need to extend for another couple of hours, I'm charged double. I tried reaching out to my rental location multiple different ways such as phone call, chat and email and when I finally did get a reply it was from an employee with a nasty attitude asking why I'm not there yet and someone else needs it for his trip to Tampa. The staff was friendly and professional. However, two issues. First, there was only one person processing pickups. I was there at my pickup time, someone without a reservation was there with the single rep and took over 30 minutes while others were waiting. Either get more counter folks, or prioritize those with reservations. If I am there at my pickup time, and am forced to wait pushing my pickup time further out, then my contract should have the return time similarly pushed out by the same amount. Second, the person giving me the trailer and hooking it up - was not even going to do a tail light check. When I asked him, he huffed as if it was additional work for him. It should be standard as part of a safety check that the trailer is functioning correctly, and the tow vehicle is likewise.Howard A.

Facilities had homeless people hanging around, one approached me accusing me of following him. Reported it to the staff and they acted like it was no big deal. The air conditioned spaces only had AC on in half the areas. Staff was not very friendly, I asked that because I vacated the unit on the 7th of the month would I be credited for the remainder of the month. How do you make a reservation for a storage unit and when you get there they gave it to somebody else and say Is first come first serve what’s the point of making a reservation I drove all the way from New York to Florida On military orders And I had to rent 2 storage unit because they gave mine away and they say it’s a rule that comes from the district managers just let people know ahead of time there is first come first serve instead of Having people make a reservation and waste of time thank you for making this a hard and stressful PCS moveCarmen L. | First Impressions

I had no problems with the facility throughout my stay. When I first moved in actually they helped me tremendously by offering another storage unit without hesitation close by to my original unit when I realized all my stuff would not fit in one. If I had any complaint it is not with the staff at the facility but the company policy itself. I only used the storage units for 8 days during my last month and was charged for the entire month on both units without proration.Lew T. | Overall Experience

BEWARE! This location and the staff who work here are rude, will bait and switch you even when you've got reservation & they even talk back to customers in front of other customers. Adam & Annmarie at the front are the absolute worst when it comes to talking with customers -- especially ones who just spent $2,000+ with UHaul moving from AZ to FL. This location needs better staff and a manager who cares. Whoever you guys have working there is not interested in long term with UHaul or else they would treat customers with the most respect instead of talking back (on camera I recorded it) and on top of it that guy Adam wasn't even helping us out we were dealing with Annmarie but Adam is one who started talking back to us! Truly the worst experience ever. Will no longer use UHaul services for anything. I will pay competition even $500 more than UHaul because you have no respect for clients and customers of yours! And if UHaul customer service actually does care you need to have one of your district managers or someone higher to call us and find out what happened. This isn't an isolated issue as the reviews for location speaks for itself. When you make reservation and have a UBox shipped to this location why would you rent out the reserved unit?! This makes no sense and really shows the fraud being conducted by staff here trying to hit their sales quotas or something because when I already did reservation for $100/mo unit you can't tell me on the day I'm there to get it that this reservation is valid but that you don't got the unit available because you rented it the day before. Let's see if UHaul cares for their customers and attempts to rectify all the wrongdoings their employees who are wearing UHaul shirts and logos did to us at 11:25 am on June 17, 2021.
