Didn't give correct call information on boxes needed. Didn't wanna help to correct but delivery driver saved day by having an extra box or location said it would take two weeks to get an additional box. Then they didn't tell me that they charge a delivery fee on each bud on top of the cost to rent an cost to move it to new location then another delivery fee on top of that to drop it at new location. Then when given a credit card to change for the moving part of bill they didn't charge it. They charged wrong card causing my account to be overdrawn an when I called to get it fixed everyone blamed everyone else. Didn't care to help, said the marketing Mgr over the area was to important to deal with issues an when I asked for contact information anyway I was given a phony contact information. The local store manager was to busy to call me, an assistant manager said she would be happy to charge another card holding twice the amount they charged and I would have to wait more than a week to get the wrong card charge refunded an didn't care if they caused overdrafts to my account. It may seem to be a good deal an less expensive than their competitors but like they say if it seems to good it probably is! Worst customer service ever!Tracy H.

We had a nightmare trying to get a U-Haul from you to move our friends to Central Florida. We spoke to an agent the night before who told us to come and get a truck at noon. No truck. We were told to come back at 2 pm. No truck. A representative FINALLY helped us get a truck at 3 pm (I forgot her name, but she was a very nice and very helpful tiny Hispanic women - she was the only light to our day), but it was too small so we also had to rent a trailer. To make matters worse, the original reservation was for a one way drop off and the final reservation was one way, so my husband had to drive it back 4 hours and take a bus home. We will NEVER use any U-Haul location again.MICHAEL M.
The containers were due to arrive in MA on Nov9. When they didn't arrive I called and learned that they had not been loaded yet and that they thought there was only one container. They were not shipped until Nov 11 and didn't arrive until Nov 13. Fortunately, Tyler in Natick, Ma brought them over on the 13th himself knowing that I only had help over the weekend to unload them. This location was great but the location where I originally rented a U-Haul 26 ft truck didn't inspect the truck and noticed that it had been wrecked. Thankfully my storage location was at the location in Pompano Beach off West sample road and powerline and the owner Adam Rhodes picked up the slack of the the owner of the location at 840 SW 81st Ave. And sent the truck in for repairs and gave me an emergency replacement at a discounted rate. Also, U-Haul corporate really needs to get it together on reservations. We originally reserved a 26 ft truck at U-Haul off West sample road with Cherry, Ivy and Adam and there was none available when we got there. We were sent to the location at 8:40 SW 81st Ave because of this and it delayed our move 4 hours. Because of this I was paying movers $25 an hour to stand around and wait for a truck to be available which cost me $200 all due to the fact that the scheduling system doesn't guarantee a truck even though I had a reservation. What's the point of making a reservation of a truck if it's not going to be there when the customer arrives? This is really bad customer service and we spent nearly the entire day running back and forth between these two locations just to get our 26 ft truck. This is absolutely not a poor reflection of the location you are asking for feedback in this email off West sample road that Adam Rhodes owns, this is a poor reflection of corporate culture and a lack of accountability from the top down. Finally, Carlos at the West Sample location is the greatest example of a human being one could ever ask for and without his help this would have been a very poor experience renting a U-Haul. Carlos is a an everyday hero and brightens everyone's word he comes in contact with and you are lucky to have him.ryan E.

We scheduled a pickup truck rental with a trailer hitch to tow a jet ski. It was clarified to the customer service rep who reserved it for us that it was to tow a jet ski. When we got there to pick it up, we were told the trucks do not have trailer hitches on them. We did not rent the truck. At the same time that we reserved the truck, the customer service rep made us an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed on our car. She told us the parts were in stock at a location at 5341 Northwest 7th Avenue in Miami. My husband left work to go to the 12:00pm appointment only to find out that the installer would not be there until 2pm. We didn't select the time, the time was given to us. How can you book an appointment with no tech scheduled? He went back at 2pm only to wait for an hour for them to look for the parts, which they never found. So not only did we use gas to drive an hour to Pompano Beach to rent the truck, we also used tons of gas to drive to Miami for them to tell us they did not have the parts in stock.michael G.

I have visited this location one other time in search of a storage unit. The customer service is abominable. It would be worth the lessons learned by filming this location for a day and using it as a webinar for what not to do. This location was the only location with a truck. My second encounter was worse; not with me but with a customer who had processed his rental all on line and only needed the keys! I was mortified the way the woman at the center spoe to him.Ela L.

This was by far the worst experience service wise we have had with any company EVER. I could talk for over an hour to discuss what happened but to sum it up: 1. Every representative we spoke to told us something different in regards to where our box would be delivered and when it would be delivered. This was at least 12 people. 2. Our box supposedly arrived in a nearby warehouse 7 days before it had to be transferred to another Uhaul storage location and it did not arrive on the â€œGUARANTEEDâ€ date when we had movers scheduled to help us move. 3. They didn't know where our boxes were and we had to drive back and forth to 2 different locations multiple times to find our boxes and firmly request that they walk back there to look. 4. Once boxes are found they said it would be delivered first thing the next day and we show up after coordinating with movers for next day and the boxes are not there and we are told they were never prepped to be picked up. 5, finally Uhaul team member suggests we load up a Uhaul truck to move our contents ourselves because they are completely incompetent to get 2 Uboxes down the road 6 miles and said it would take too long. We had to pay additional time for movers and move the contents into a truck to then get it out into the storage unit 2 days after they guaranteed it to be on site. 6. We requested a refund for this terrible experience and they said because it was delivered to â€œa locationâ€â€¦ they would not issue a refund. All we got was a free truck to fix their screw up and 1 month free on storage which doesn't even begin to fix the headache they've caused.grasiella E.

The original drop off location was 596 Old Dixie Hwy Vero Beach, Fl. When I arrived to women was rude and told he she was not taking my trailer- call U-Haul. I had to wait 30 minutes and drive additional 20 minutes to drop off the trail. Does she really represent you and will you really follow up on my compliant. Horrible communication and customer service. Ubox was delivered to a different location than where we were told. arrived late, Finally told we can come any time after 12 noon the next day. Rented a truck drove an hour to location only to be told that the box is not available and have to call and give 24 hours notice when we want acce3ss to box. NEVER hear that before wasted $ on a truck for no reason. After finally emptying our Box we received a letter 10 days later demanding rent and pay payment fee even though we emptied our box and office was aware.. My UHail box had a terrible leak in it and boxes arrived soaking wet. I didn't take out insurance as I was told the product would be transported and kept under cover when it arrived. I am ahving to miss work laundering everything in the box and waiting to see if anything warps. You have excellent customer service but using a faulty container has me wanting a refund.!!! Looking at the receipt, I got charged a late fee for no good reason. I had given the keys to a worker at the drop off location. I only had the truck for 3hrs. BEWARE! This location and the staff who work here are rude, will bait and switch you even when you've got reservation & they even talk back to customers in front of other customers. Adam & Annmarie at the front are the absolute worst when it comes to talking with customers -- especially ones who just spent $2,000+ with UHaul moving from AZ to FL. This location needs better staff and a manager who cares. Whoever you guys have working there is not interested in long term with UHaul or else they would treat customers with the most respect instead of talking back (on camera I recorded it) and on top of it that guy Adam wasn't even helping us out we were dealing with Annmarie but Adam is one who started talking back to us! Truly the worst experience ever. Will no longer use UHaul services for anything. I will pay competition even $500 more than UHaul because you have no respect for clients and customers of yours! And if UHaul customer service actually does care you need to have one of your district managers or someone higher to call us and find out what happened. This isn't an isolated issue as the reviews for location speaks for itself. When you make reservation and have a UBox shipped to this location why would you rent out the reserved unit?! This makes no sense and really shows the fraud being conducted by staff here trying to hit their sales quotas or something because when I already did reservation for $100/mo unit you can't tell me on the day I'm there to get it that this reservation is valid but that you don't got the unit available because you rented it the day before. Let's see if UHaul cares for their customers and attempts to rectify all the wrongdoings their employees who are wearing UHaul shirts and logos did to us at 11:25 am on June 17, 2021.
