The service picking up the rental truck and equipment t was awesome. The introduction ruin to the storage unit was disgusting. I wasn't given a tour of the storage building because I was moving the same day. She said when you return with items to store, I'll show you around. I ended up returning when another staff member was there. I explained the previous staff member was going to give me a tour. She was being lazy instead of walking back with me and letting me know how to access the building. Attendant need to be more helpful eldery when vehicles are returned. Inform them to check the vehicle in and not tell us to go home and do it. After returning when the building was closed, I could not return the van. I had to go back a third time this morning and the two young ladies who helped were excellent. Truck's steering was very 'loose' and vague. Lock provided to lock the truck's storage are was frozen therefore useless. The app was cumbersome and certain sections non-functional. For example, app asked me to take a picture of the miles and gas tank level, yet the embedded camera functionality was non-functional so couldn't be used. There were 4 people at the desks to check a truck out for someone when I arrived, but I still stood their as the only one in line for a good 10 minutes before someone decided to call me over. You should definitely let customers know that when renting a pick up truck they only get 1.5 miles per gallon. This must be fact, since we were charged for 2 gallons of gas to drive 3 miles. Uhaul is normally our go to for truck rentals, but the fees have become exorbitant, and this gas charge has sealed the deal for us. We most likely won't be back.Tammy S.

I was told before using the truck that the cost would be the $34 plus gas and that we need to bring the vehicle back with a 1/4 tank of gas to be charged that price. We put in $81 worth of gas and brought the vehicle back 2 1/2 hours earlier than expected with 3/4 of a tank of gas left. We were charged $139 and some change, which was not at all what I was told. We gave you back over a 1/2 tank of gas more than what we were given before we used the truck. This is not accurate. I have the receipt for the gas but no one asked us for it when we returned the vehicle. Please advise. Kathy GosselinBruce G.

I attempted to use the early drop off option on the website but it continued to give a message saying the picture wouldn't load so I could not â€œfinishâ€ my drop off. Positive experience the a/c on the original truck didn't work after I put a 100 dollars of gas in manager in manchester nh switched the trucks I notice the replacement truck had a quarter of tank I mentioned to him I just put a 100 dollars in the old one so he went and filled the new one up and put on the contract that it had a full tank so they screwed out of 100 dollars of gasroger B.

My customer experience was great until the new female assistant manager was hired. She's rude jusgemental snobby and I'm not be in customer service at all. She will be the reason that place will lose customers I've had friends with me that were thinking of getting a unit there and then saw how she was with customers and instantly changed their mind because of her attitude and judgmental behavior. It seemed like every time I went there they were waxing the floors so I'd have to come back or wait. The door to the unit was not on level so it was extremely difficult to get my lock on and off so much so that a few times I couldn't open it or close it so I'd have to call a friend to help me or even have to come back or leave it unlocked. Supposed to have climate control and I was paying for it ,it was so cold i side , some of my stuff got broken because it was too cold was 52° ,when I used to rent before it used to be 65 and I asked them to put it up to 65 one girl was rude to me , she said it needs to below 55° , that's not climate control to me sorry .then they upped my rent and i was only there 4 months. One guy was sleeping in his storage that was next to my first storage , then had to park outside because both stall where taking up by guys doing drugs in their cars , smoking and working on his car . The day I moved into the facility on my current unit there was snow everywhere making it difficult to move into the facility. I was promised 1/2 off of the unit for all of the issues, however I am uncertain a credit was applied. The sliding electric door was stuck and had to be held open manually. There were numerous tows blocking the entrance and I was unable to access the closest door to my storage unit. I have pictures that document these facts. A $400.00 air conditioner was stolen along with other items and boxes out of a unit I vacated. When I requested a claim be filed for theft I was continuously put off and have dealt with retaliation for speaking up for my legal rights. I was forced to contact the main office and reached someone who finally gave me the regional managers telephone number, as no one would provide the regional managers telephone number to resolve basic issues. Brittani, the Regional Manager was very helpful and professional. I was lied to and treated poorly and bullied by the current S. Willow facility manager, Richard. Before I spoke up in regards to the theft I had no issues with U-Haul. I would not recommend anyone rent from this facility. I am out a $400.00 air conditioner and other belongings that were stolen out of a storage unit I rented. I paid for insurance on the storage unit and the insurance should have covered the theft. After speaking up about the theft I faced retaliation and would never use this facility again. I no longer trust the facility manager, Richard at South Willow Street U-Haul. The previous manager was respectful, kind and caring. The current manager is unprofessional, rude, abusive and does not respect the customers, or honor his spoken words. I am thankful for the Regional Manager Brittani for professionally and maturely handling my concerns, however the fact still remains that a theft took place and U-Haul refuses to take responsibility for this criminal action against me. U-Haul retaliates against those who are robbed at this facility. I have met several amazing young women staff at this facility who went out of their way to provide kind and caring service, however with the current facility manager they are afraid.Carol P. | First Impressions

We needed to upgrade our storage room to a larger one, we had to walk around the place 5x and wait like 10 additional minutes to find someone to help us. Then, not her fault, but she was new and did not know anything. They saw us pull in with the 27foot truck, we told them it was completely full, and the room that we were upgraded to did not even fit our stuff. we had to bring more stuff back to where we are staying, which is definately not the point of having a storage unit. I cannot even walk in there, so there is NO way of me finding anything ever until we move it all out. They should be knowledgeable of what size rooms will fit the trucks that people pull in with. Sliding the card as one leaves takes some getting used to, but I eventually did. It also helps that you can go back hours later when you remember and slide it then LOL. Also, yesterday. I received a final auto pay reminder for July after I checked out of the unit last week. I know it's probably because the two systems aren't linked, but it still could be slightly worrisome to some people. However, a terrific experience overall, especially with the first free month after my move here from Texas and with the ability to get settled into my apartment more gradually and in an organized way. Finally, I get a lot of these kinds of auto-surveys including one for recent service to my Hyundai, and this was the easiest one to use.
