Patricia G.rented twice last week, both times the first trailer (the one in the contract) had issues, so it needed to be swapped out in the last minute, and it took over 30 mins to get setup and ready to go even though I had prebooked.
Thomas M.The online vehicle pick up does not have a great UX. It took me a half hour to get the vehicle due to the verification process. In my opinion, the verification process should be completed at the time of booking, then the vehicle pick up could be a smooth process.

iram N.Booking one way is an issue. I can't get a booking commitment until a day or two before, which doesn't leave much time for an alternative plan. I attempted to do an on-line check-in, but it somehow wouldn't work. A live agent confirmed the booking was good, but the on-line checkout still showed no trailers available.

Kenneth J.When I first got there, I signed-in online and uhaul gave me the vehicle number. However, this vehicle was NOT on the location. I asked one of the people working there and she directed my question to a lady (manager, perhaps?) who asked me to wait there while she went outside to do something else. She returned to the office after 20 minutes and instead of answering me, she started taking to another customer. Her attitude was very rude and unacceptable. She did not apologize even once for wasting 40 minutes of my time (in total, including the 20 minutes that was wasted by her doing something unrelated) and gave me a vehicle with another number without any explanations whatsoever. I honestly don't know how she is keeping this job with such terrible attitudes towards customers; Hoping that she was just having a bad day and I was the first and last person who had been treated like that by her. Otherwise, shame on uhaul for hiring such people. The drop off was good and this lady wasn't around so everything went smoothly and the reps were very polite. The van was also in good condition; it was not clean but I had no problem with it.

Darren M.It is great that this location is opened on weekends and that it is opened on Saturday from early morning to late evening hours. This is very thoughtfull because people who work full time do moving of heavier things in their free time (which is weekends). This allows for renting a truck for one day during weekend. I tried to rent a truck in Toronto, but they do not work in such convenient hours like the Royal Windsor location does. However, I am not giving this location a good mark, because the furniture pads that I preordered were not available. For me this was a big thing that resulted with one of my expensive furniture being damaged doting the move.
Monika I.The practice of the employees using their personal device to scan customers ID did not sit well with me. If I didn't ask I would not know. The optics of this practice does not instill confidence in the consumers
sandra F.Trailer was full of mud from previous renter. When I asked for it to be cleaned I got attitude and very poor customer service from John. I'm sure that he gets away with acting rudely to people. I had to hook the trailer myself.

Haseeb M.I initially went in to the location to confirm my online booking and thought both the staff on duty at that time had had a pretty crappy attitude to the waiting customers. Firstly they were both wearing sunglasses indoors which doesn't do much for human interaction (although undoubtedly cool if your trying to channel your inner 80's rockstar). The younger one doing her best Wednesday Adam's impression was quite literally sprawling across the desk repeatedly smirking to her colleague whilst an obviously confused older gentleman (I'm 60 so when I say older the guy was probably in his 70's) was trying to pick out some bubble wrap. This went in for a couple of minutes, what fun! On a human level I thought that seriously lacked any basic empathy but beyond that was an obvious total fail as far as even the most fundamental customer service goes. Don't ridicule your customers. The following day when i went in hire the van, I was served by the same ‘sprawling lady' who although not exactly enthusiastic about serving me and still sporting her welding googles got my hire processed fairly quickly so I was on the road in a timely fashion! Yay! However, when I returned the vehicle that evening the experience was total night and day by comparison. The lady I dealt with was very welcoming, cheerful and processed my return efficiently despite the fact she was totally overwhelmed by the amount of people returning hire vehicles and looking to pay for propane as it was a lovely evening and BBQ fever had obviously hit the neighbourhood. I get it that renting out vans and selling bubble wrap to the great unwashed is perhaps not the most rewarding career. But the difference between the ‘service with a grimace' attitude of the two ladies on duty on my initial visit and thoroughly fantastic attitude of the overworked lady when I returned the van hire was night and day! When you're spending your hard earned cash the last thing you want is to be treated like an inconvenience by a pair of indifferent employees who think they're above all this. I wasn't going to bother to write a review about the indifferent service witnessed by the first two ladies as life's two short for that kind of thing, But after the excellent, sunny service by the overworked lady this evening I thought it was worth the time to point out what a great attitude she has.

I received an email yesterday May 8th with an additional charge for extra time!! Please explain that one? JORGE E B.When returning after hours, phone app. would not allow us to check in (which is required, otherwise $20 fee applies) Tried multiple times, we contacted UHaul via phone and were advised that for some reason we were provided different trailer and that is why we were unable to check in over phone. :-(
Michael S.1) have the blackest I had booked with with the truck was assured wound be available multiple times actually with my order. I was told my set of rented blankets would be available. Got to the pickup. No blankets. Asked if I could go to another site to rent them. Was told I could but wouldn't be the same as renting with the truck and the price was jacked up. I had multiple monitors and furniture get busted on my trip and part of it is because I didn't get the blankets I rented 2) was told truck came with a lock and re-assured on the phone that all trucks came with lock it didn't. Apparently it is only trucks that stay in the city that come with locks. 3) when I was told it didn't come with a lock I asked what lock was best and safest for the truck, I was sold a round lock by your worker that didn't fit the truck. When the truck was packed and I went to put it on it clearly wouldn't fit. I had to go to Canadian tire and buy another one. 3) female attendent behind the counter had sunglasses on at 8am, was not helpful, contradicted everything II was told at the UHaul place I booked at in Etobicoke and on the phone and costed me money. Extremely bad service. 4) over 4 confirmation calls the day before I picked up the truck by different people and was told my booking was confirmed and the blankets would be with the truck only to have someone else call over and over well we are trying to prepare to move. Again very bad customer service.

Doug C.1. Give the customer the correct vehicle. 2. Don't "over promise vehicles". 3. Actually listen to the complaint that your automated return service asks for. What's the point of having one if you just ignore complaints and send bills.
Jack M.I reserved a trailer at the begining of April for the end of April expecting things to be busy at the end of the month. The day before I was to pick up the trailer I received a call from Uhaul telling me the trailer would not be available when I wanted it but would be available 12 hours later. Uhaul did find me another trailer for the time I wanted but it requried me to drive an extra 30 minutes in traffic in order to pick it up and then an extra 30 minute drive to return the trialer. The staff at the location were good, they checked me in quickly. Why book something if the day before you get a call that it is not avialable ? They have to do something about their bookings.

I am now having to spend hours going back and forth with head office by phone, email and chat to get my refund. This location *never* picks up their phone, the call always bounces to the main customer service line. Moving in was smooth, moving out has been an absolute pain. Would not recommend.
