I am 53 years old and Have used u-haul 25 +years ago . The 15' truck I got was excellent , and safe ! ... it's not like 25 years ago any more with the old clunkers ! I would recommend these trucks for moving . If you are creative with the ramp you can save lots of work ( eg. ramp to porch ). staff was busy , yet helpful . Renting the blankets is cheap , and very helpful too.

The return was hard to do electronically. Photos would load because it was trying to use phone memory and kept saying memory low. Then location was accepted but it wouldn't let me get to the next screen by noting location was not on when it was on. It took multiple login attempts just to get through once. Please make the return easier.

Work on the problems with your app and website so people can return their rental vehicle without any hassle. The app didn't work nor did the website. I wasted over 45 minutes of my time on things not working and waiting for customer service on the telephone. Even though the service representative noted the problems I had I was still overcharged and when I called to have the overcharge corrected they double charged my credit card and credited and incorrect amount. I should have used another company.

I have no complaint about the rental location/staff there... but over all U-Haul put me under a lot of stress during the process. 2 weeks prior to my moving date I visited the location to book a 26' truck. As I was moving from GTA to Kingston so staff there suggested a One-Way Truck Rental which I could have left here in Kingston which also saves back trip and money... I accepted that happily... They also told me that 1, or 2 days prior to the day I would receive a call to tell me either to pick up the truck at that location or any other location near by... I booked all for Saturday Jan 30th. Then I also informed building management and booked service elevators for the same day.... Then one day prior to the date, as they specified, I received a call from U-Haul and they told me that "unfortunately" no Truck is available for Saturday at all, and only 1 is available for Sunday, which I will have to bring back to the same location (no one way)... That put me under lot of stress; 1) entire plan of moving on Saturday was gone. 2) had to re-arrange every thing for Sunday. 3) then have to drive back (4 hours) to leave the Truck at the same location and then make some arrangement (bus, train, or) to come back to Kingston................... and for all that they had only one word "sorry"...... Anyway, had no choice being 11th hour situation... so took the truck on Sunday, moved and then drove back to Mississauga and left the truck at the location at 2:30 AM. . So my advice to all of you; when book a truck take something in writing with 100% guarantee NOT with 99% confirmation and then telling you that you will receive a re-confirmation call one day before the move..... very scary situation when they say "sorry"..... And always have booking in another company just in case....

Uhaul app for check in and return does not work easily. It is because it insists on location services to be activated on phone. Unnecessary in my view. If returned to wrong location after hours they will know in the morning.

I have visited this location many times since the Covid-19 pandemic started, and some employees were not wearing masks every time. This last time, 4 employees were behind the counter together, in a space approximately 3' X 10', and 2 of them weren't wearing masks. Very disappointing.

The truck definitely was not cleaned or sterilized in between uses. Our schedule date was booked in advance we were notified two days before that the date and truck were not available leaving us no choice but to rearrange and delay our move. We also had requested to drop the truck off in the city that we moved too but this could not be accommodated so we had to bring the truck back to the city we picked it up from.

U-haul r RIP offs the advertise for $19.95 for truck rental but u end up paying more than that watch for extra fees before u drive that truck out of there slot, l end up paying $125.00 a day rental and l just drove for 60km,U-HAUL r just there to take your money b carefull when u go there.

The overall truck rental was fine (checked in online) but the staff at this location were very rude and disorganized. Had problems with the return. Drove to the return point asked a staff member was told to go inside, the staff inside instructed me to go back outside and then some guy just grabbed the key from me no explanation, no receipt, just grabbed the key and ran off. Very unprofessional. A bunch of staff were just running in and out, ignoring customers. Finally after approaching several workers one agreed to bring me a receipt but when you are returning rental equipment you would expect some kind of confirmation instead of someone grabbing the key from your hand and running away.

When a truck is rented it should have a full tank of fuel. Giving a custumer a truck with an 1/8th of a tank of gas puts an additional strain on a customer as their first trip is to a gas station. A customer should receive the truck full and return it full. When I asked to recive it full the attendent rudly told me that was not their policy. Moving is stressful. Your company is prviding built in stress with every rental. Please review this policy as it would provide a more stress free situation. Customer service is more than just providing a truck. Attitude is key. Thanks.

Unhappy with my rental. When people in Canada have to drive up north in the winter your truck is useless...no snow tires and no 4x4 makes this a pointless truck for some of us to use. This specific for has probably the worst gas mileage I've ever seen and cost me a fortune to take this trip. I won't be renting from u haul again

I have received the following invoice against the contract number 85881128 for the truck i rented yesterday. I am not agree with the calculation it has made due to following reason. 1. The MI Out mentioned in the contract is wrong as when i have started the engine it was showing 115175 instead of 115127. 2. This is the first time i have rented any vehicle from you and it was my mistake i have not check the contract and tally it while starting the engine. 3. I have only shifted my house hold items with in mississauge same area from small basement so it won't make any sense that the truck drove that much miles. I have attached the image i took at the time i have taken it. The guy who has given us the contract has not explain us to recheck it at the time of issue and the door was closed the same time we left the office due to closing hours. Please re-investigate this and don't deduct the following invoice amount until we agree on it. Appreciate your support and as it was my first experience don't make it as a last one by deducting the amount which is not fair.

The only issue was the lights on the unit would flicker while I was driving. The person hooking up initially had issues getting brake lights to work. After stopping a few times..... I was able to stop the flickering by playing around with the trailer harness.

-Well, I did over fill the uhual with more gas then originally received - inquired to at least not charge me the KM overage, but they said nothing can be done. Something always can be done in my experience. I've used Uhual to move myself Ottawa, back to Mississauga, to Niagara, back to Mississauga. - I recommend more flexibility in the overages for what it is. I would've like to get reimbursed for the extra gas I put in to all the vehicles I ever gave back from all my moves. But nothing is ever "possible".

My credit card was charged for an entire extra month for two storage units, despite having moved out. I am now having to spend hours going back and forth with head office by phone, email and chat to get my refund. This location *never* picks up their phone, the call always bounces to the main customer service line. Moving in was smooth, moving out has been an absolute pain. Would not recommend.

The place is very clean and tidy. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is that when I moved in I was way younger. Now I have a bad back and the storage does not have an elevator. It was hard for me to bring things down the stairs.
