There were a few customers that were waiting outside for their reservations as well. Called the number and the person I spoke with was unable to reach anyone at the location and confirmed no one was there but did not know why. Had to go back later to get the trailer hooked up.
PHILIP SI have had to rent several trailer and trucks from U=Haul in the last year. I always use the 1875 E. ridge Road, location. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with! The staff always go above and beyond! The equipment is always clean and in great shape. ¡Gracias!

Michael HI was late picking up the truck and I definitely appreciate the extended return time. I was provided excellent customer service. The truck is a hazard something is wrong with the front tires and the tires are literally bald no traction could NOT back truck up the tires just keeps spinning. Thank God my cousin is a Certified Truck driver and he was able to get the truck to back up towards the house so we could use the ramp to unload everything. PLEASE service that truck ASAP. I would like to be compensated for this inconvenience as I was fearful of the driving an unsafe truck. I look forward to hearing from you concerning this issue. Have a safe day!

As a result when I dropped off the van they tried to charge me for a scratch on the truck that was there before hand. It was a minor scartando i didn't think anything about it when I picked it up. Not at all happy that they tried to charge me for done thing do minor especially when I bought the insurance to cover such items

MICHAEL DTerrible attitude problem from both employees on duty, asked why I was being charged soo high for a truck got a shiit response that's just the way it is it's about supply and demand and that they weren't the branch that rented out to me, spent the day freezing helping my daughter and grandchildren and felt taking advantage of
michael vRented a tow dolly. After all was hooked up, I noticed one of the security chains was not useable ( missing the "S" hook on the end) and had to switch to another piece of equipment. Seems that should have been caught during check in/inspection from previous customer. Would have really been upset if it wasn't found until after the vehicle was loaded. Otherwise, experience at facility was average to good.

JOHN RThey delayed my truck pickup on move day by 3 hours. Had to rearrange my entire day and reschedule the movers. I don't know for what reason considering they had the truck there, and they refused to release it to me until the proper time. On top of that, the truck had a check engine light, and a STRONG ODOUR of man's cologne. Like someone poured it on the floor and nobody bothered to clean it up. It was the most foul uHaul experience I've ever had -- left the truck pissed off and with a massive headache. NOT coming back to this location. Go to the other E. Ridge road Uhaul.

LINDA TI did not want to give the location poor marks, but the overall experience was poor. Our original reservation was off Buell rd., that got kicked to Jefferson Rd in Henrietta. Due to my busy work schedule, I missed the call informing me it then got moved to Irondequoit. I'm in Ogden. Very inconvenient. Plus paying by the mile really adds up. The people in Irondequoit were very nice but the vehicle had a lot of oversteer. I may reconsider my next rental.
JAMES NI rented a tow dolly for a one-way trip out of state. U-Haul transferred me from the local pick-up site I had selected to this one which was farther away and in the opposite direction that I was headed. When I got there and we had loaded my car on, I noticed the fender of the dolly was rubbing the dolly's tire. The assistant and I tried to bend it back, but we were not successful. This meant we had to unload my car and find another way. After waiting over an hour, the store manager was able to give me a full-size car trailer. We got that loaded up and I was able to complete my journey. Overall, I am pleased they could resolve my issue, but I wish they had noticed the damage caused by the previous user before trying to rent it to me. I am also unhappy to have been sent so far out of my way. But those complaints are in no way the fault of the guys at this store, who were great!
CHRISTOPHER AFind a way to dry out the uhaul after cleaning. The left over water wreaked havoc a bit on the cardboard boxes. Otherwise good!

WILLIAM ATruck was given to me with a hair shy of 1/4 of a tank I did not re-fuel as late night return. Kind of sketchy to purposefully set at 1/4 tank then give it to a customer. You'd expect a full tank of gas when renting if charging customer's $30 fee (per) for under 1/4 tank anyways. Truck smelled like complete cigarette smoke even though signs clearly tell customers to not smoke inside. Although, after-hours return via the app was broken and wouldn't let me take pics/etc. as mentioned so just put the keys in the return slot hoping for the best. Check-in via app seemed a bit slower than if just went inside via person. All that said truck was reliable for the like 20ish miles that I drove it for a pickup/delivery.
Kristopher CEveryone at this location is a pleasure to deal with but the gentleman who connected and disconnected the trailer I rented was phenomenal. Friendly, helpful, sincere. Fantastic guy. Do whatever it takes to keep him. If I had a business I would be trying to poach him.

TAMARA MI had to change locations because there was no one there at 830am. I waited 15 minutes and then called the main UHaul number who routes me to another location. The second location review. The person that waited on me was exceptional. He juggled 4 customers at once and it didn't impact any of us. I was attended to professionally, courteously and promptly. He deserves a raise.

We had late fee's put upon us that wasn't our fault, I feel we should have gotten refunded for that. We used storage and truck rental from June up until now drove from Bflo, get to Rochester Uhaul was closed, we had to drive back to Bflo, because we we're storing our property here in Rochester until our property purchase closed, and drove back here the next day cost us$325 For a one-way rental, they forgot we had a storage but couldn't get in.

Drove 3 hours to arrive with a 26ft truck full of belongings and nowhere to put them. Was on the phone with customer service for a combined time exceeding 2 hours and EVERY customer service representative forwarded me to another. There were 5 total all of whom stated that they could not help me. I slept in a car all night because we did not have money for a motel. When we went back at 7:00 am we were given an old truck trailer to put our things in which is not even protected behind a gate. No apologies were conveyed by staff for any of the inconvenience. None!!! No offer of refund or partial refund. No remorse over the situation. The most disgusting customer service situation I have ever experienced. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Peter S | Online Move InI have quite a few storage units at my local U-Haul. My latest one was supposed to be 10 x 20' it is closer to 9 x 19'. I had to get the smaller unit because they didn't have any larger ones available. I've had quite a few problems with re-renting the larger units. I've spoken with the general manager, I've tried contacting his boss by phone and email where I have received no reply. I've called the 1/800 #and I have emailed the corporate office and I have not received any reply. I want as far as to text the CEO of U haul who put his phone number online, also to get no reply. Their units are convenient and less expensive but customer service is something they do not have.

Everyone else who worked there was incredibly rude. Almost as though they went out of their way to be so. Customer service training may help. Just basics like remember it's okay to smile, greet your customers, don't act like you are doing them a favor every time you have to do your job. Kyle was by far the rudest, but all of them except the two mentioned above were just awful. Facility was great, though.

Not sure how my experience differs from others but others but I constantly had mice in my unit for almost the full 4 years I was there and they nested in my rug, carpet tiles, packaged tv wall mount hangers, tub/box of hand tools and memorabilia and had feces all over the place that ruined a floor lamp and required me to clean everything I had in storage from my 2 bed apartment. I filed a claim with Joshua Buzi at repwest and they said they would get it to local managers to review. Can you tell me how that is going? I would like to be compensated for the items that were ruined trusting that my possessions would be safe at your location. Its not much. I handled most of the issues with my own sweat equity which was actually very tough and big job that I was not planning on doing. I will wait until I hear back before I review further. As of right now, this is my review for you. Thanks.

Yolanda M | Overall ExperienceOverall the storage place is nice and secure with the gated entry. There is light outside the units but no light inside making it hard to see. The area is clean and well maintained but there is a bad rat and mouse issue. The droppings were huge which lead me to believe it is rats. I found a dead small mouse outside my unit as well. They got into one of my bags that you heat up in the microwave and put on your shoulder. Apparently it had grains in there which they sniffed out. They tore it up and got grains everywhere, they made nests in my bedding and chewed through some cardboard boxes. There were several bedding comforters with rat pee and poop and grain where they were clearly sleeping. I'm having to get all my bedding cleaned and some have to be tossed because they chewed holes in it.

Manager gave us his card and said they exterminate regularly and can't control what people have in their storage unit. Moved out a couple months later and everything was FILTHY. Rat/mice droppings everywhere and on everything. Didn't purchase insurance because I didn't think this would be an issue. Would've went with the climate controlled unit had we known this would be an issue. Should've known better I guess. Appreciate the college student promo though.

Laura D | Overall ExperienceMy experience was excellent other than that I just have one thing that would really really help people (that's why I didn't give five stars). Please please please please please please please I beg of you, do something about the fact that you highly overestimate how much can fit in a storage unit. People rely on your estimates for their move. They do not have their own experience with this. The same problem goes with the u-haul trucks. A storage unit for a one bedroom no way fits a one bedroom. Same with a U-Haul truck, as experienced with a separate apartment's contents by a family member. Even the one to two bedroom storage unit and the one to two bedroom U-haul truck do NOT fit all the contents of a one bedroom. My family member had to change U-Haul trucks twice. Even the moving company I used said that you guys were overly optimistic when it comes to thinking what fits. I am not sure that you realize the implications of this overestimation. If you cannot fit everything into a storage unit, you have to change storage units, which can be an extreme stressor. I had to try three different storage unit sizes. If there is a U-Haul truck that does not fit everything into it not everything can be moved and precious things have to be thrown out and repurchased. I am not sure if the person that owns the company has not moved or experienced this or what is going on. I would recommend sendng out surveys asking people what size fits or so if it is such a problem. I would recommend you do something about this. I don't know why this is done by your company. I don't see the benefit to your company. We are puzzled by this, because you are a very very wonderful company other than that. Your staff is kind and patient, your return policy is excellent, and you are more than willing to help out. In summary, your company is amazing and awesome and your customer service is absolutely excellent. I just went into my recommendations because I thought it would help you with your future customer service as well as your customers. I am sure you want only the best for your customers.

Rented storage for less than a month and are now attempting to reach office again to cancel since we no longer need unit. Once again, no answer. Would not recommend.
