Customer service was great at this location, HOWEVER I picked up the truck at the Toronto Stockyards location, and was extremely let down initially in the fact that I had requested a 20 foot truck, and received at 15 footer. The truck was dirty, and the interior stunk like moldy food, and wet animal. I attempted multiple times to then rent a trailer due to the loss of the larger sized truck, and all trailer quotes were much higher than I even paid for the truck. The nice staff at the Rexdale Blvd. Location even attempted to remove the smell from the truck, but in the long run it didn't help too much. I dont know who finally assisted me on the trailer end,but she was very nice, and extremely helpful. On a whole U-Hual let me down huge, very disappointed.Sean A.

The first location I was scheduled to pick the truck up (NIX XIE Trades in Concord) never put the order through on their end and I wasn't able to access my truckâ€¦ luckily U-Haul corporate found me a truck in Etobicoke and the staff at 240 Rexdale were great. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the NIX XIE location and despite 240 Rexdale's professionalism, this has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.Ryan M.

Pickup and contract verification the Customer service representative was terrible. Having rented vehicles from this location, we know that the contradictory information and racist behavior of the customer service representative we met was the CSR's fault, not that of other employees. Dropping off was much more pleasant, the CSR was kind, polite, and helpful, which is the standard we are accustomed to at this location. However, the experience with the first CSR put us off this location.Lars A.
I am first time user taking this truck for my house hold shifting. Even prior booking of the truck did not get trolly as requested. Also Gas count was mentioned wrong at the time of picking and correction made during my inspection. The service was appalling! My Mastercard was not working on the machine and the cashier proceeded to tell me that my card was prepaid so o needed to use another form of payment. As a black woman I'm tired of people assuming that they know know my bank balance. When I told her that she was out of order for assuming anything about my credit and that her machine wasn't working she insisted that I was using a prepaid card so clearly I didn't have money for the transaction. She said she wasn't being rude just stating a fact. Either retrain your staff or fire thenâ€"these types of interactions are wholly unacceptable. Hey i was charged the fuel charge of 14.95$ while i only drove the vehicle for 6 miles,, i also filled 10$ of gas. Please refund moneyparam P.
First they charged me for Sunday even after cancelling my appointment. I had to pick up my Cargo van on Sunday @ 6:00pm and they couldn't finish it so cancelled it and charged me for that also. When Monday I went back and they gave me a cargo van, the return time was next day 4:00pm(almost 24 hours) and I returned on the same day at 8:30pm(within 5 hours) and they charged me $20 extra for late return or something. It's ridiculous. I had to pay $300 for not picking up my stuff on time on Sunday and they charged me overall $70-80 extra without any reason. I'm not going back to this location also won't recommend to any of my friends.Devang S.

We arrived to pick up our truck to find that it had not arrived to the parking lot yet and were told to wait 30 mins until it arrives...even though we had booked through mobile check-in and we came 45 minutes after our booking time. The lady at the register was not helpful. I would hesitate to use U-Haul again since I felt that time was not respected, especially for a stressful event such as moving and having made elevator reservations at 2 buildings...the delay in the U-Haul reservation made our experience much more difficult.Nazar K.

The car haulers have a wind down stand at the front due to their weight. The 6x12' trailers need to have this. They are heavy trailers and difficult to hook up and unhook without a wind down stand.Stewart L.

The front desk people are not friendly. They seem to ignore the customers. When i went in i was standing in front of the ciunter no one asked to help me someone after me was served first. The return process during the dsy is a disaster . It seems the people in returns have other roles to play. It took me around 30minutes to just return it . Just sat there waiting and waiting. The reservation location is at 231 Livingstone Ave with Uhaul's confirmation email. But When I arrived there, they told me that I had to go to a new location at 240 Rexdale without any notice. It wasted my time and was far away from my place. It is why I can not return the trailer before your work hour. Also, I try to return online by myself but it did not work even I tried it there for 20 minutes. I hope I can get refound no more charge.JIAPING L.

The vehicle did not start once turned off. I waited 2 hours for roadside assistance. Once returning the vehicle, I asked to speak to someone in regards to the status of the vehicle. I was informed I would have to wait and speak to the manager. The manager left we waiting for 45 minutes and then refused to speak to me as the store was closing. I reserved a storage unit which they gave to a another customer. I was offered a bigger unit with no payment for the first month. When I went back to the unit there was a lock for bib payment after I was told I wouldn't have to pay for the first month. When it was time to move to a smaller unit after the first free month, they didn't know how to process the payment and another lock was put on my unit for non payment. For a starter head office told me over the phone when I reserved the unit that it was going to be $1 for the first month since I was renting a moving truck with them which to i already had reserved BUT when I picked up the truck for the 2 days to complete the move went back to get the unit and needles to say I was charged a full amount on the storage $289+tax i was told that the $1 fee only applies to those who are coming from other town I was also charged extra $60 for being 1 hour late returning the truck when I wasn't even past my 48hrs on the rental of the truck also I was charged on my mastercard before I even picked up the truck when I specifically Buy customer service then I could use other methods of payment. I've moved into two other self-storage facilities in GTA recently. U-Haul on Rexdale was the best by far. I'm a female. I could not lift the door on the locker in one facility any more than 2 and 1/2 feet. It was hard getting in and out. I vacated my items without even asking for a refund. The other facility didn't bother to clean out the locker before renting. I ended up spending a day purchasing a small broom, and sweeping the entire locker ... I am not comfortable with the locker without having washed the floor, so I keep a box of sanitary wipes in the locker. The security at U-Haul is excellent because access hours are limited, and there appears to be a number of people always around. It is very very very clean and apparently, the lockers are kept in good repair. Furthermore, the staff are very considerate and friendly. The individual who introduced me to the locker initially, took the time to be very explicit and clear in her instructions. If U-Haul on Rexdale, had a locker large enough, I would definitely be staying despite this location being quite a distance from my home in North York.Karen P. | Overall Experience

My only comment is a person blocked direct entrance to the "unloading area". I am a senior citizen and found it difficult to unload my belongings. He didn't move his vehicle to make our job easier. Only one of the 3 staff members working behind the desk knew what they were doing. She had to help the 2 others with everything. 3 people were in line in front of me and I was next it took 25 minutes for me to get to the check out desk and another 20 mins to get the keys to my storage unit. The staff is very slow and is unable multi task. This location is convenient however I would not recommend others this time. I did appreciate the staff member resetting my swipe card when it was not done done properly the first time and bringing out a rodent trap out to me at the storage unit. It took well over an hour to get our trailer. Hooked it up and brake lights didn't work. Staff slowly tried to fix them and an hour later said they were "tired of this"...all the while not communicating with us. Then offered a trailer at a facility at least a half hour out of our way.
