I had rented and moved a U-haul box from Oregon and it was received at the Pulaski Hwy location. It arrived late because of a winter storm but I picked it up myself, emptied the box and returned it the same day, in January. The Pulaski Hwy location then claimed i had the box in storage and tried to bill me. This was after the location that had shipped it in Oregon claimed it was in storage in Oregon and tried to bill me for storing it. Both did it after I had a recipe for already returning the box. This experience was so bad that I will never use U-haul again and will never recommend it to anyone. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous, not to mention the customer service personnel acted so disinterested in helping me it only added to my frustration.

I was very disappointed on this visit. I was charged for two days because I returned the truck at 6pm, on the same day! I was never informed that there would be double charges of when I asked the saleperson at the time I took the truck. I emailed U-Haul and never received a reply.

We did arrive at the U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy to turn in the truck slightly after closing time. There was a worker inside that was short and abrubt with us. Not friendly at all. Lot was poorly lit. We did the self check in. Return box was hard to locate, needs to be displayed better. I was called by the location the following morning about the return not having the tow dolly, that was turned in before we actually departed on our trip. We called UHaul and confirmed the return, but the lady at the U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy was very rude to me over the phone and we should not have done that. I called UHaul and the rep I spoke to over the phone said they would take care of it.

The truck was totally smashed up around the lights and inside railing broken , the staff was nice but were challenged dealing with several difficulties with customers and we stood in line for 40 minutes waiting to be helped also the brake lights kept coming on

When I arrived to take my furniture out of storage,there was one door open.trucks were blocking the other doors that go up,full of snow. There was a person using that door. Finally Greg that works there,open another door,after we ask,after sitting in our own uhaul for 11/2 ,waiting to get inside storage,to get our furniture. Then the elevator wasn't working, and never did.we had to take turns,with guy that was already there,using the service elevator. Mice droppings were everywhere,in our storage bind.even on our furniture. Pulled cotton out a couch,so I had to throw my sofa chair. Awful experience. .never recommended anyone going there.

Bad experience with this location. I was literally abandoned for nine hours due to faulty maintenance with the rented van. An additional five hours the following just to sort out moving me from the deserted location to my intended destination. I need a full refund. Very chilling experience.

The items I rented, furniture pads and utility dolly were not located inside the truck. After going back inside, I was only given half the amount of furniture pads instead of the full amount I paid for. Additionally, it was a little frustrating to check in and do everything online and then have to walk inside and still show my ID and answer questions to get the key. If we're checking in online, everything should be able to be done without needing a physical representative.

I rented a 26' Truck and Auto Trailer however the location I went to pickup the Uhaul truck and trailer was not ready, meaning trailer was not connected as normal and ready to go. I was told to connect myself without help. I asked 3 times for help and they were reluctant but someone did try to help bit the trailer strap and metal claps/anchors were old and rusty and would not operate properly. The straps kept coming loose, and the car started moving around on trailer, very dangerous. I had to stop many many times. The car seemed like it was coming off trailer. I kept stopping adjusted but the rusted metal clamps kept releasing straps then the warning lights made sounds and flashing on dash. So I stopped over and over. Because of the age/maintenance and rusty clamps it is very hard to get trailer secure. Then when I got to where I was going, things changed and I had no place to reside. I tried calling after hours and no would answer so I called customer service told them, they said call schedule and explain because the app would not allow me to change to location, I called and no was available to help me. When I did get ahold of someone on Saturday, Dec 9th, I was told to call scheduling on Sunday, I did, and they said where did you go and I had to find a place to reside. I went out of state to family that would help. My bill is now $4753 dollars. This should not be. Why am I after 25 year customer is being charged $4750 dollars. Is this a mistake? I dont have this money. This is crazy. I need the bill adjusted.

This location in Highlandtown was very helpful. Overall, my experience with U-Haul from California until MD was awful. I'll never use your company again and will never recommend and will actually encourage people not to utilize your services. Again, staff at Highlandtown were great but everyone/everything else was terrible.

Any future rentals from U-Haul will be done from this location. The staff is great, courteous, and helpful. The truck I received was very new and in “like new” condition. Returning the vehicle was seamless and the return team was helpful and courteous through the return process.

Our representative was late opening the location first thing in the morning, very clearly didn't want to work that day, and I don't think ever smiled once at us - not even a fake smile. I've worked retail so I understand very well how that feeling can be but it was still disenchanting to experience this.

The self check in process was horrible. The app and website weren't working. We were told not to go inside. Almost two hours we were on the phone with customer service who couldn't figure it out either. They eventually hung up after they tried all their failed solutions. Then we called back and the next person screamed at us when her solution didn't work. Once it finally worked, we were late to our furniture pickup. When we returned on time, the employee wouldn't help us with the equipment return, just said to figure it out. Then we were charged more than double (120) the originally agreed upon price (50), despite doing everything correctly and driving less miles than we said we would.

Staff very rude and unprofessional especially one of the ladies at the counter, the one with the darkest skin. She’s extremely rude and disrespectful with her terrible attitude and unwillingness to be just, honest and professional. As of today i still have not received my refund due from my cancellation of the insurance I added after someone tried to break my lock to get into my storage room. I emailed the manager Ms. Sharon L on June 8th 2023 to tell her that my renters insurance with GEICO does cover my storage room at Uhaul also. My email explicitly asked for a cancellation of the insurance from uhaul I was paying and I also attached a copy of my proof of insurance/ declaration page from GEICO. On October 30th i came by to move out but my storage unit was illegally locked by Uhaul even though my account was paid in advance. The white male i dealt with promised walked with me my helper to my unit. However he was unable to unlock the uhaul lock on top of my own lock but he promised to come back to cut out the illegal lock but he didn’t. I had to reschedule my move for the 31st instead because of the lock Uhaul put illegal my on top of my own lock, causing me to pay extra for bringing movers. On October 31st i met with Ms Sharon the manager to let her know of my dissatisfaction and also ask for a refund for the month of November and the refund for the insurance from June to October 2023. I still have not received the refund of the insurance. Ms Sharon asked me to resend the original email from and I did however still no refund yet. Please refund my money. Fatima

Worst Uhaul experience I could have possibly had. First truck we received barely made it the 5 min drive up the road to my apartment. Engine light was on, theres NO oil in the truck, no gas, and ot was overheating to the point where the truck was shaking After breaking down about 15 times and finally getting it back to Uhaul the manager Sharon or Shannon did not even apologize just said things happened and walked away from us. Continued to walk away from us without offering any solution or working with us and seemed to be unbothered at the situation. I admit my friend and I were quite pissed but we wouldn't have been if we have at the very least received some acknowledgment of their mistake and a promt solution. An hour an a half later ( let a lone this is not only a waste of my time but also of my money as I have payed by the hour helpers sitting in my apartment) we recieved a new truck, when I asked the cashier to make sure it was still the same price since they gave me a bigger truck she said she didn't know and walked away without even trying to find the information for me. After fully loading the second truck we go to leave and the truck does not start and we waited another 2 hours for roadside assistance to come and change the battery and as he mentioned there was so much leaked battery acid everywhere he was surprised the truck started in the first place. I submitted a request through customer service to have the district manager call me but clearly that never went anywhere. The whole situations was a waste of time money and the fact that I still have to pay for the truck after all of this is ridiculous. I will never ever recommend U-Haul especially not the pulawski highway location to anyone ever again

I am not sure what happened. I reserved the truck online with my credit card. I uploaded my driver's license. I had the truck for only 6 hours, filled it with gas. I was charged for two days, instead of one. I was double charged. I had to go back to the yard and try to get it taken care of. Time, I did not have to give. The refund should have been $63.00, but he gave me $48. I don't think I will drop off a truck again, without waiting for them to go over it and give me my receipt. I was not happy.

There were several damaged spots like dents and scratches that were not noted when I inspected the van. I made sure the damaged area was marked with an “X”. The unit was very clean and I would return to rent again. Thanks for the good service provided.

I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore (pulasky hwy). The storage room smells so terrible and filled with rodents and roaches. I had to throw my ($350) sofa in trash, as it was filled with rodent and roaches poop and smells terrible. People at the store were very unfriendly. I suggest better help them learn how to handle customers.

Sharon laugette your manager was rude April rent was paid twice and she put untrue notes on my account after my bill was paid up she didn't forward the information to the main office I couldn't get a truck to move my belongings had to get my daughter to rent a truck from another location belair Rd Kenya Marshall and she sent a letter stating I owe a 179.00 for September and my belongings are gone August 9 2023 and she knows this

I only had my unit for 2 months and it is infested w/mice and rats. Rat and mouse feces and urine all over EVERYTHING in my unit & it smells HORRIBLE! I had to pay $500 today (9/3) to have everything from my storage removed & hauled for trash. This storage facility is a disgrace & needs to be closed down ASAP! When I told the employee there his response was "oh the rat traps must not be working." Like how could you knowingly accept business knowing these conditions. The manager is very nonchalant about it and shows no empathy at all!!!!

There are little to no trash cans. I had dead mice and mouse feces in my boxes when I retrieved my items. There was always a long line when I needed help and everyone always had ti call someone else to do what needed ti be done. You all need to make sure employees are crossed trained in everything.

A second review because this place was so terrible. My “move out” date was also my “move in” date because they didn’t have a unit for me even though I had a unit reserved. Total incompetence. Uhaul should be embarrassed to be associated with this facility.

I reserved a storage unit a month out only to be told that they didn’t have a unit. I was then offered a bigger unit, with no price adjustment due to THEIR mistake, and proceeded to give me a unit that was ALREADY rented out to someone else. At that point they told me that they had no units for me. How is that possible? I drove from Philadelphia with a full 26’ truck and was left scrambling because of complete incompetencey. This facility should be absolutely ashamed of itself. I was also charged for gas even though i filled the tank to the levels i received the truck at. When i spoke over the phone with customer service that agreed with me based on the pictures i took of the fuel levels. Just greed, incompetence and flat out stupidity. I will never use uhaul again and am in the process of asking for a refund. I will also tell everyone I know to stay away from this facility and have called the better business bureau about this issue.

My lease was up on 4/24/23. Prior to that date, My friend was there to finish removing my property and clean up the unit. The staff assumed I was out prior to my calling to confirm and cleared out my stuff, billed me and then when they realized I was not out, they told my friend their mistake and refunded the charges and closed my account?!? I had a couple of books I was keeping but it is too late now... I have two units in Alaska and never paid $50 to bust the lock... The staff took my brand new lock off which I should be compensated the $11.++... I arrived after a long driving and the the greeting was a look with no smile nor “ how can I help you”. I asked if your employee is ok she answered that she was not, and I followed with a hope that your employee was ok, she seems angry and the reason why she come from the back absent or the bad luck, because she dropped her food on the floor. On top of that, they didn’t have my storage that I reserved. All what I get is call the number 1 800 number and list go on

This place is run down. If you come in the evening bring a flashlight to see in your unit because it is very dim. Saw a dead mouse in the hall once and there was mouse poop in my unit. Someone also left a couch in the elevator, which gets in the way of other people using the elevator and it was there for several days.

The staff at this location is top notch! Management, people that clean the vehicles, customer service all of them! I've interaced with 4 different people at this location and each interaction was just as pleasant as the last. I would use this facility again just because of the people who work there. It is not the nicest uhaul location as far as the space but the service is unmatched. I think there may have been a mouse that got into my belongings and there was no food stored there so that's not great but the staff was incredibly helpful with every part of my move and storage needs. Robert and the team at this location all deserve bonuses fir the way they treat people and make uhaul look good.

Our first u haul experience was fantastic!! I highly recommend this location. Our storage facility was easily accessible with no issues in the way. Robert, the assistant manager at the facility was absolutely awesome and very welcoming. He was super helpful in answering all our questions and concerns and was super friendly. Truly wonderful employee at this facility!! Highly recommend this location!!

My storage unit was stolen at this location. The theft cut the haul lock and replace it with other while none of the workers notice. The theft came multiple time and empty the unit. When I notice the staff they were indifferent and unwilling to corporate. One of the worker even say it’s my problem for getting it stolen and she had worked here for 9 years and this never happened before. After I notice the lock was replaced by theft they told me I can’t cut the lock myself and have to wait 48 hours for them to cut it. After I called the police and insist that I need to open the storage today since it is no longer safe. They cut the lock for me after 7 hours. Even worse, when I got there they left the storage unit unlock even after they know there was theft. And when I talked to the manager, he said he cut the lock but he wasn’t aware of theft, cause the staff didn’t notice him. Before the theft, I was trying to get in the storage in access hour which is 5am to 10pm. The front door was broken. I called the staff they said it was broken and the alarm was off. And say the hour should be to 9pm, which is a lie. This place also doesn’t have security camera everywhere. When the theft happen, they told me there isn’t security camera at my storage.

You guys suck! I ask to have locks removed that l brought from uhaul. It took a month of me calling unable to get them. Having a reps trying and sending text to no avail. Then when I go to get my stuff the elevators are down no one inform me of it. I had rented a uhaul truck and labor, which I still had to pay. I get a bill with a late fee $40 which I wouldn't have gotten if communication was better because o would had my property 6wks ago. I don't think I should have been charged for them inconvenience me but I was.
