The rental verification process, taking pictures to download for the contract and calling another party to be a contact on the contract, should be explained in the website when making a reservation so the customer can be prepared. I was told that I couldn't get the vehicle if they couldn't speak to the additional contact to confirm they were willing to be added to the contract. Very invasive and burdensome given all of the identifying information required of the rental customer.Barbara T.

Original location (Sinclair Road) did NOT HAVE a Car Trailer. So the CSR supposedly set the reservation for 6:30pmEDT at the Morse Road location. When I arrived to pickup the trailer I discovered that the reservation had been set for 4:30pmEDT. I was EXTREMELY fortunate that I was able to complete my task list before incurring late fees. The ORIGINAL CSR should have informed me of the terms. ALSO the CSR at the Morse Road location was NOT Customer Friendly. FAR TOO "Distant" and without a POSITIVE Customer Service attitude.Winfred S.

If I could I would give negative stars! Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service charged me for after hour drop off when i need everything i was suppose to do to avoid the fee but she was very rude unprofessional. I waited in the store for about 5 minutes until she even helped me even though she had no customers as if she was waiting to see if the BLACK employee would get done with her customer before she had to help me! She didn't explain or inform me that I wasn't getting my full refund back so when she handed me the money i was confused and she had an attitude because she had to COMMUNICATE!!!! I will never rent from uhaul again because of this situation I hate being disrespected when i show everybody nothing but respect! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!Mickesiha W.

i would recommend this location only because it has a large inventory of equipment. the two times i've been a customer i've found the rental process extremely difficult despite my making a reservation online and checking in before i arrive. the customer service reps at the desk don't seemed to be fully trained in all aspects of the software they're using nor on the procedures to rent equipment. on this last rental my reservation clearly showed a return in little rock, ar but when i was handed my paperwork it showed i would be dropping off at the same rental location. when i asked about it my agent had no idea what to do and when she asked for help the "manager" told me i would have to call uhaul to let them know i was returning to the location originally selected when i made my reservation. really really frustrating.seth H.

I was told the box would be ready at a certain time, I gave them extra 30 minutes before I arrived and apparently the box was still not ready for me to retrieve my items. Also, whenever I call, if the Morse Rd location is busy, the phone is forwarded to another location. The person who answers that call should understand that happens and respond in kind, rather than assume I've dialed incorrectly. This has happened on a couple of occasions and I find it frustrating they reply rudely.ROD S.

I found it very difficult to maneuver thru the online portal. There were too many occasions where I was not able to log into my account as it was not found. Calling into the office, I was often placed on hold for an extended time. Trying to move out was a nightmare as my account was not found and I couldn't do it on line. I had to call in, placed on hold and hung up. Called four times and was handled through the call center. My husband went to facility to talk to them and was told I was charged because I was renting a lock. Even if that were true, which it is not, I was charged 174.85 for my own lock that I brought back from NM. I DO SEE, IN RETROSPECT WHERE IT APPEARS THEY TRIED TO TAKE THE STICKER FROM THE PREVIOUS STORAGE OFF. THIS IS HOW I IDENTIFIED MY UNIT BY THE WAY. There was one employee helping customers, 3 others behind the counter not helping customers, and I counted 9 employees in total. The one improvement is that I was asked to provide two phone references as I previously did not have a U-Haul transaction. This is odd given they have my credit card and license information. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE + PIECE OF JUNK TRUCK. I will rent from Home Depot or somewhere else next time. Truck was smashed in the front end and driver's door was bent and barely closed properly. I was using the App check-in process and went in to ask the counter person for a different truck. First, they told me repeatedly that they couldn't do anything because I checked in with the App and already accepted the truck. Then when I asked why I couldn't have one of the many other trucks that aren't damaged, they told me they don't have any trucks available - those are all one-way rentals (why not start there?) Very frustrating. No apologies, no attempt to pretend to care or be helpful. I know that it's hard to find good staff, but these people DO NOT belong in customer service roles.Richard S.

Manager who processed the pickup was very friendly but it seems the process is excessive and lengthy just to rent a trailer. Even though I had already scanned my license in before I arrived I had to do it yet again with a link sent to my phone on the spot. Its clear every customer has to do this lengthy process and step making for a very slow moving line. Again she was quite polite but the process is very slow. The woman â€œhelpingâ€ me attach my trailer was very short and rude. Definitely wasn't interested in answering the couple of questions I had. I was extremely frustrated when picking up a uhaul that we were paying over 3000$ for and the front cab was filthy. There was crumbs and spilled drinks in the cup holders as well as dog hair. There were crumbs all over the floors and in the cracks of the seats. There was also trash and someones dog food left behind the seats. This was just an extreme lack of care and attention to detail when cleaning it between customers. Theres a sign in the back of the uhaul that says you will be fined if the uhaul is not returned swept out, yet they can give out uhauls that haven't been cleaned between customers mind you all while covid-19 is occurring. Very disappointing. And on top of that im sure staffing is an issue like everywhere else but for the start of the day to have one person working the front counter with a line all the way to the door is inconvenientNathan K.

Large Basic instruction stickers in truck pertaining to loading and unloading. I could not find the hazard light button/switch. Best Buy employee showed me the proper extending of the ramp. The facilities were in great condition, HOWEVER, I made a reservation a week in advance for a truck and storage unit for my mothers belongings, however when I got there and provided a reservation number the clerk told me she didn't show that and not sure why and how someone scheduled that unit because she can't find it! My mother has medical issues and this situation put me and her in a bad position. The clerk found a smaller unit (saying it was their only unit left) which put us in a different position as we couldn't store ALL of mom's belongings! The storage was smaller than I anticipated and had holes in ceiling. I secured the storage unit on-line. I wasn't sure of how to access the area and the instructions listed were not clear enough for me. I would have asked someone at the counter, but there were always several people in line to be waited on so I talked to employees outside and they were very helpful.
