Your service person the larger lady was rude. I asked to rent a dolly when I placed my order when I arrived I was told there were none available for rent which could have been communicated prior to pickup of rental truck so I could have gone to another uhaul also they charged for 3 gallons of gas and I filled the truck back up when I was done at the speedway right next to the uhaul and have proof also I noticed when I was leaving I seen thre dollys on the floor I asked about them and was told they were unrentable im not sure what that meant but this was the worst experience ever at uhaul I won't use this one againDELANYUL K.
The website allowed me to rent a 17' truck. When I arrived at this location, the clerk apologized and stated they were out of 17' trucks. She wasn't sure why it allowed me to reserve on online. I ended up being offered a 27' truck and took it. I appreciated her frustration with the website & agree that I should've been told there wasn't availability. She handled the situation very professionally by showing me the truck before I rented it.CECELIA C.

Improve customer service. I walked into the store and was yelled at to put a face covering on and Uhaul should provide them if they're enforcing it. I understand having a second contact on your reservation but the fact they have to answer the phone is kind of ridiculous in order to be able to rent anything. I had to also put my cc info in multiple times throughout the reservation which didn't seem right.ZACHARY K.
Amazing customer service! This is THE best place to go if you need anything related to moving!! Boxes, hitches, plastic wrap for furniture and mattresses, tape, rope, sticky wrap on a roll (the best thing ever invented IMOâ€¦I was so relieved to find literally everything I need for moving and was very impressed at the variety. Thank you for being open past 5pm. And for the whole crew working because you take the stress out of moving and totally provided amazing services. the return was so easy. Drive thru! Replace Shannon, she was very harsh and rude, she lied to me saying there was a statewide mask mandate when there was not and you don't provide masks and then it was downhill from there, I told her there was a barrier there where I would be checking out but she was adamant, I never really felt like she was willing to work around this so finding a way around this would be my first suggestion or possibly doing business from the customers vehicle, my last suggestion would be to replace herDebra R.

I have been a loyal UHaul customer for many years but this experience left me extremely disappointed. From the initial call I was told there were no trailers in Columbus. I went online and found a trailer myself and reserved it. I then showed up to get it and was told they would not service me if I did not have a mask. Everyone behind the plexiglassed protected counter was wearing a mask so why the militant stand on a customer who didn't have a mask??? No other retailer in the area is treating people this way. They were rude and condescending, and very slow in hooking me up to a beat up and dirty trailer that frankly should have been removed from your fleet years ago. When I returned the trailer the two women who were supposed to be unhooking me stood in the lot and talked while I waited. This location lacks customer service skills and acts like customers are an intrusion to their day.RUSSELL A.

I rented the truck 3 weeks earlier and chose to do mobile pick up. Because I did not arrive at 7 am to pick it up, the truck was cancelled without notice. I had assumed with mobile pick up meant the pick up time was not strict, I was there by 9 am. So I had to wait in line and repeat the entire process I had already done online to get a new truck. It was incredibly busy, it was difficult to hear the person helping me and when I told her that she had a very bad attitude. While she was getting my information, other employees kept coming up to her to talk to her. I then had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the truck. I had people waiting to help me move and it took an extra hour at the uhaul location. It was a very negative and stressful experience.CHERYL K.

Customer service was not at all friendly. Many people in line, did not mention,, that the computers were down. They said "that is why it is taking so long." like we were supposed to know that. I need to speak with someone. My daughters boyfriend, Luke Fox picked up the rental that I had already paid for online and they made him pay again. This is incorrect. They made him wait over an hour because they said his hitch wasn't strong enough however changed their mind after getting a supervisor. I almost called customer service because the lady running the counter was very loud and extremely rude. My husband walked in without a mask and she yells over the entjre store that he needs to have a mask and he said ok and started towards the door and she says LOUDER you need to exit the building until you can come back with a mask...so he got angry and told her to shut the fuck up. We left and went and got masks..came back and this same lady continued to yell thru the store at other customers so rudely about having masks and not to be in the store until they can return with a mask. Theres much better ways to say things to people and this ignorant lady needs to learn and fully understand that. For that reason we will not use uhaul again...not only was she rude but as usual that store was extremely packed with people and no help. First and foremost, the lady at the counter in the morning was not polite at all. She did not even tell us what to do once we came back with the cargo van. Once we returned, we found out after standing in line for a very long time that we could have just pulled the van into the drop off area and that we would be checked out there. That's when it became real bad. The obviously very angry man who was supposed to check us out barely greeted us and continued to mumble frustration under his breath and slammed his device on the trash can very aggressively. I was scared and uncomfortable. He then got into the van, and I told him that there was a box already in there that wasn't ours when we first left with the vehicle so he checks it out and says â€œit's not a box, but okayâ€ in a very rude and annoyed tone. He could've just said nothing. He had a very aggressive and rude demeanor through the entirety of the interaction. Safe to say, I will never return to this location because never have I ever felt so uncomfortable in any establishment ever before.ASHLEY M.
I worked for UHaul 25 years ago. I was less than impressed. My experience with this rental was over the top. From Chrys at the counter to the lot jockey that hooked up my trailer, and the use of digital technology to make it all a very simple transaction. I was not happy to be charged an additional $20, for dropping off truck after hours. I picked up the truck just before 4:00 PM & returned it at 6:18 PM. Also I returned it with a quarter tank more fuel than when I received it. Not everyone has a smart phone to use when you return the rental. I feel that I should be credited for that charge. I thought what I needed to do was entirely online. I did not anticipate needing to go Inside. But I had to twice. Once to get a key. Then again for the requested furniture dolly and furniture pads. Upon the second visit inside to ask for the furniture up ads and furniture dolly that were missing from my reserved truck, an employee told me to put on a mask which I did not have as I did not anticipate needing to go indoors. I asked for a mask and she said I had to provide my own. If you are going to require a mask you also need to have a supply of them available to give to customers at no charge. Or make sure the reservation notes that you won't have all my items on my reservation put together and it may require a trip inside. No one should be asked to put on a mask. It creates conflict, elevated blood pressure, increased heart rate, anger, and general dissatisfaction with the business that failed to provide all the necessary items requested in the first place.Robert P.
I am concerned about a scene I witnessed. I black family came into the store & an associate stood near them as they looked at boxes. She told them that if they damaged a box they had to pay for it. The family came in for a box for their TV so once they found the correct size they bought the box & left. Shortly thereafter a white man came in and spent about 15 minutes pulling every box out & examining them. No one said a word to him about damaging the boxes. No one watched him as he made his selection. I was not involved in either transaction but the optics looked pretty bad to me.Angela B.

It was overall a bad experience. The lady helping me left the keys on a trash can outside and when we went out to retrieve the vehicle the keys were gone. She just sat around and waited for someone else to do her job of finding the keys that she lost and I was waiting there for 15 minutes until finally someone else handled the situation. She just kept saying she didn't know what to do, and as the customer I felt uncomfortable with the group dynamic of the entire team at this location.ANDREA S.

Also when I arrived to drop off she was moving a truck, saw me and stopped what she was doing and checked the trailer back in. She deserves a raise. You need more like her. get there info right on the computer. Had a call yesterday asking where the truck was. I told her it wasnt due back untill 9/19/2021. She kept insisting it was past due. Created a migraine and nervous wreck. We still had to go to Lancaster and unload. Other than that is was fine. We did not use the furniture pads that I rented. They were still in the bag. While the service Uhaul offers is necessary and affordable, the human interaction is lacking. How excited I was that there was a 24/7 option that I could do most everything myself. When I hit a snag on returning and could not find the lock box to return the key. I had to go inside and was less than impressed with the gal I asked about what to do with the key. I don't appreciate being talked to like I was child that disobeyed instructions. Apparently I cannot use the online 24/7 return process when the store is open and was scolded for it. Having to walk back out to the truck get in and move it to the right spot and leave the key in....all contrary to what I understood on your website. I won't be using Uhaul again.Teri F.

The storage was smaller than I anticipated and had holes in ceiling. I secured the storage unit on-line. I wasn't sure of how to access the area and the instructions listed were not clear enough for me. I would have asked someone at the counter, but there were always several people in line to be waited on so I talked to employees outside and they were very helpful.
