I registered online for a 26' truck to pick up at a location less than a mile from me at 9:00 am and drop off at location very close to my destination . I received a call saying good news bad news. Good news being a â€œtruck â€œ would be available. The truck was 20', at a different location (far away) at a later time (I had help arranged at the time I scheduled) and it would be an in town rental meaning I would have to go out of my way to return it. I asked if there would be a discount for all the changes and inconveniences and was laughed at. The smaller in town rental actually cost more than the larger one way. VERY disappointed with U-HAUL's new money grab, customer last way of business.Leroy L.

Vehicle seemed to be well maintained and clean inside but very dirty outside and the windshield was filthy in and out :/ made it hard to see on a sunny day. That's the only negative of experience.Lori D.

The attendant, that helped me as I was picking up my truck, was not friendly or helpful. I could barely understand what he was saying. I have had better customer service at other location I've used uhaul before.Mark L.

The interior of the windshield was quite dirty and the seats were covered in pet hair. The office staff said the keys would be on the seat. They weren't. When I enquired of the parking lot staff they directed me back to the office, who in turn directed me back to the parking lot. Due to the time consuming back and forth I failed to notice my contract was not accurate regarding fuel. The contract said 7/8 but gauge read 5/8. Plus I had a schedule to stick to. When I added gas my contract said I only had to add 1.6 gallons to get to 7/8. I added 2.5 gallons and the gauge would not budge past 5/8. I got charged $8 for gas. I told the lot attendant about it and he said he would take care of it. But evidently had no intention of doing so. I got screwed out of $9 due to a faulty gas gauge. How many others customers are you doing this to? And how about mentioning all the taxes and fees that will be added onto the final bill? I've enjoyed doing business with Uhaul in the past, but you guys have really lowered your standards. Too bad.Loree L.

There is no key drop box. I walked around for 30 minutes trying to find it. There were crackheads in an car outside of the building who approached me while I was waiting on hold with customer service to find it. I have been on hold for 30 minutes so I left and will tell them I will bring the key back when you openLYINDA A.

The person working the inside counter when I arrived was extremely helpful. I was having issues with self checkout, in part because I was using the wrong web browser but didn't know why it wasn't working, and he helped me troubleshoot and get on my way. Then upon returning the check in team were very friendly and immediately attended to checking the truck and already had it largely ready for the next customer by the time I was done checking out. We've used this location multiple times, and every time we have a great experience. ¡Gracias!Annette M.

Maybe just remind people to go through the check in process to return the vehicle BEFORE putting the keys in the key drop. I completely spaced it and then I realized I needed to turn the vehicle on for the Chas and odometer reading images. No one's fault but my own, just wanted to mention it! The location for drop-off: 2000 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204 For the sake of God and country, please make the location for drop off of keys for your customers obvious and easy to see. There were for couples at the same time returning U-Haul trucks at this location, all of whom were trying to find the place to deposit the freaking keys for their tracks, and none of us could find it easily!MICHAEL L.

I have reserved a 26' truck from a different location I even went into the store and 3 days before I was supposed to pick up my vehicle and told trailer someone call me from u-haul and said that I needed to go over here to get a 20' truck or I needed to drive all the way to Glenwood Springs to pick up a 26' truck bring it back then move my family to Colorado Springs I didn't even get compensated in any kind of way or had to altered my plans after all I did reserve the items that I asked for Would I remake men the lower Colfax location to somebody no I would not why because it seems like no matter where you go they're just gonna direct you somewhere else But the crew at the lower Colfax was very helpful and very made that made my experience that much more better. Checkin was supposed to be virtual but we were directed to go inside to the counter to get the keys. Then the keys weren't there but in the lockbox where they should have been. Moving blankets and dolly that we ordered were not in the truck, so I had to go back to get them, costing us almost an hour of moving time. We were unable to complete our move with the truck due to this. Staff was very courteous and helpful in spite of these issues.Conal R.

Literally of the hundreds of times I have used Uhaul, this is the worst experience I have ever had. From the start of truck selection, the dirty truck was poorly maintained, with horrible driving added by the misalignment and brakes I am still shocked from. Renting trucks with Uhaul is a nightmare for a commercial client like myself. I will only rent from you as a last resort. I was told I would have regular extended vans at a $55 dollar rate but when I got to the location I was told I had to take box trucks. No thanks.savion J.

Have the equipment do the staff to accommodate the customer. Could not print out receipt due to lack of ink / toner. On my original rental date I had rented in the Lakewood CO area and the Denver Dispatch area change it to Meeker CO a five hour drive to the western side of CO. They said the next available truck of the size needed would not be available till 2022. Luckily the folks at the Lakewood location was a libel to let me know a truck was coming in the next day and the reserved it for me. You would of thought the Denver dispatch could of did that. The lower Colfax location was friendly and helpful.NOEL M.
I booked my U-Haul rental three weeks before my trip. I had picked out a 4x8 trailer for pickup at a convenient local location on Saturday morning. The preceding Friday afternoon, I got a curtesy call from a lady at a different location advising me that my scheduled pickup location had been moved to a place 5 and 1/2 hour drive away. She gave me a number to call as I told her that would not work. I was put on hold for nearly an hour before a rep told me that I could not have a 4x8 trailer as there were none available closer than that, but that he would give me a bigger trailer instead. I told him, I was not happy with that, but did not have a choice. Saturday morning I went to the new pick up location, and was please to see four 4x8 trailers in the lot. After waiting in line for an hour and a half, I was told that those trailers were being reserved for customers who had made the booking earlier than I had. I asked why the system had allowed me to book equipment that was not available and he said that U-Haul guarantees the size and price, but not the location??????? seriously? I went to check out and noticed a $100 dollar additional charge. I asked what it was and he told me that the $60 insurance plan I had selected was actually not a flat rate, but was based on estimated mileage and had been inflated by $40 since I made my online booking. He also explained to me that larger trailers tow better than small ones (I was towing with a Subaru outback) -I am pretty sure he needs to get his head checked! This has been a really gosh awful experience and I would warn other customers to look for alternatives!SIDNEY K.

The facility was nice and the staff very helpful. The problem encountered was limited loading areas and access to the storage areas. Too many people were trying to gain access at the same time while one large truck was not attended in the single bay. I rented a 8' x 10' x 8' unit. When I checked in, the height of these units are only 6' high. When I asked about the height, they said it is on average 8' high. It's not even close to 8' high. This is completely misleading and actually false advertising. When I asked, they said they could move me to a different unit, but it would be more expensive. No other options or offers.
