Excellent moving experience overall! We had issues with the lock box and needed to snag help, and it wasn't clear where exactly to park the 26' truck when we returned it, but everything else went smoothly. Very happy with uhaul.

Your app is terrible. Your SVP of IT or CIO should be fired. We waited for 45 mins at a different location (a non-staffed 24x7 location) with probably 10 cargo vans late at night Thursday, 11-19, trying to get the app to work. U-Haul 800 number was a 40 min wait. We ended up getting an uber and leaving. Then, next morning we spent an hour on the phone with various U-Haul numbers, local and 800, trying to reach any human, to transfer our reservation to a staffed location. Your SVP of Customer Service should also be fired, as all the different local & 800 numbers are a terrible mess. Your company is a mess of a company. Maybe your president should be fired. How many billions in revenue does it take for you all to get the BASICS right? Very dissapointed. Won't be rending from U-Haul again, when Home Depot is so much more convenient and actually knows how to run a company that gets it right. You guys don't. Sad to think how many six-figure executives you have that probably don't have a clue, are checked out, or are the worst of the worst. Your best executives probably leave the company, and the shit that's left is what gets trickled down to me, your customer.

We had an appointment to rent a truck at 4:45PM before 5PM close. This is not our first time renting a truck, but for whatever reason this location required excessive checks. Even though we did all that was asked of us before picking up, when we asked the owner for assistance he barely helped us and was more interested in locking up the store as he literally turned the lights off on us. I would not recommend this location at all and think this location needs more training in the customer service department.

The pick up process could not have been worse, your mobile pickup flow is so horribly under invested in. I don't understand how I can pick up a car at the airport in 5 mins and it took me almost half an hour after all your bull shit. I would recommend any other moving/truck company over U-Haul. Will go out of my way to not use again.

The whole verification process took entirely too long. I had to fill out my information so many times and jump through ridiculous hoops just to get my vehicle. I understand there's a tremendous liability involved but there's got to be a way to eliminate some of the redundancy and streamline this process. Next time I need a truck I'm going to home depot

I rented a truck and then 2 days later rented a can. Tha Windows on the inside were horrible. That was my only complaint. But bot vehicles the windows u could hardly see out of.

This process was absolute chaos, insanity, and downright stupid. I am going to write a review on this location's Google page, Yelp page, and Facebook page - in an Attempt to warn others not to use this location. Not because I dislike the business owner or anything of that nature, but because of the massive headache and confusion this cost me. The mobile check in process is an absolute disaster and should be completely overhauled. Whoever made the decision or setup the process this way should be 1000% Fired. Its so horrendous that I can't even think of an analogy.

The trailer I rented blew the running light fuse (6 to 4 adapter was lit prior to plugging in) on my vehicle so I was turned away to replace the fuse. When I returned my reservation had been cancelled even though I had told the personnel I would be back. When I returned, Scott acted like he was doing me a favor by having the trailer I had reserved after he was the person who cancelled my reservation. His exact words were "you're EXTREMLY welcome for having a trailer for you"

The confirmation email should contain the actual pick up location. Equipment should be checked the night before rental. Your employees should follow through on their statements. The truck I rented was dead when I put the key in the ignition. Employee said they would call when it was fixed, when I called (3 hours after my scheduled pickup) employee said it was complete just then (I didn't, and still don't believe it). The Crew that I hired to load and unload the truck, were able to load the truck 3 and a half hours after the scheduled time and were unable to unload it due to scheduling conflicts, demanded full payment. My wife was communicating with customer service, while I unloaded the truck By Myself, she was promised a phone call from the manager on Monday, the phone call was not received. I am not certain that the promises made to her were kept. All in all, the worst move experience to date. I will not be using your company again. I will be telling this story to all my friends and when it comes time they need to rent some equipment I will re-iterate this story and try to convince them NOT TO USE UHAUL. Thanks for the Sore back , wasted day, and the bad mover reputation

The online app is useless. You need to tell people they need to have 2 contacts awake and ready to answer the phone to use it. Defeats the purpose of getting a truck outside of business hours. I had to wait for the store to open.

The location is hard to get to. The trailer was filthy on the outside . If I was u haul I would want my trailer clean on the outside. It was clean on the inside and in very good condition. The staff at the location were very nice and helpful.

It would be great to know when I made the reservation, or when paying, that they do not rent utility trailers for one way trips. Instead of saying ANYTHING, they tried to hook a 4x8 enclosed trailer to my truck. That that point they tell me about the one way bullshit. I barely fit my machine in the enclosed trailer

Originally booked a reservation, and received an email update notifying me that it was changed to be picked/up dropped off in a town 15 miles away. Then called and went to change my reservation for a different location, it was confirmed. Followed the directions, they did not have the trailer, told me that the reservation had changed again to a different location. It was 6:45 and the other location closed at 7. I arrived at the second location ASAP and was there as they were beginning to close up. The prior location had called and told them to hold off as a courtesy for the mixup. The two employees at the Denver Mile-High location on 10/24 were not only unprofessional but could care less about helping the customer, their priority was to go home. They would not look at the phone for the reservation, yet kept insisting that there was nothing to do without trying once. I ended up having to come back in the morning delaying my move, and forcing us to do it in the heavy snow as we originally were trying to avoid. Hard to tell if this review will do anything, but the mixups from the uhaul scheduling center and the employee demeanor have lost a customer.

The employees were nice but the policy to have a smartphone to sign-in at the store. Everything was late because of this policy. If it is in the fine print, then put bigger and more noticeable for the customer. The phone connection was bad at the location and the worker had to keep sending text and then try different phones. There should be a paper option, or the employees make copies. Its ridiculous how much is dependent on the customer. Uhaul can make a copy of our license themself. A customer ahead of us didn't have a smartphone, what was he supposed to do. 3 years ago I moved with Uhaul, it was very smooth and they gave me paperwork and it was fine cuz wasn't dependent on bad tech. So it wasn't workers fault, its Uhaul as a company. So we probably won't be back.

I put 20 dollars in for gas and since it was not a notch above where I got it the guy said he had to charge me over 6 dollars I was never told I had to have it a notch above where it was at and I only drove 19 miles and the added extra miles plus When I reserved I was told I could pick it up off 34th and then last minute they changed it to lower Colfax which was 5 miles an extra 2 miles away from my house where is the experience Ever!!! I was told they did not need the Insurance they charge me $14 for insurance 6 dollars for gas 7 For a dolly I did not use they charge me for extra miles and they made me drive extra miles to pick up the truck even though they said it was available at 34th

I reserved a 20 ft truck. I picked up after hours. My 20 ft truck was blocked in. I called uhaul and they were only able to give me a 15 ft truck. I needed a truck so I took it. After checking out, I realized I could barely fit out of the lot because another van was blocking. I slowly made it out of the lot with inches to spare, having to get out of the truck several time to check clearances. Now, with the 15 foot truck I had to do two trips instead of one, which took about 4 more hours and another ~60 miles. If I had the 20 ft truck as promised I would have saved all that time, mileage, and money. Upon Returning vehicle, I told employee about what happened and they said theyd talk to manager and I would get a call. Instead of a call I just got an email with the contract showing a $35 discount. I should have gotten at least a $50 discount considering the extra ~60 miles I had to drive, if not more of a discount considering all the trouble they caused by blocking in my reserved vehicle.

I admitted that while parallel parking I hit a 3/4 inch galvanized drip pipe that was stick out from the parking lot above. I hear a crunch of fiberglass and stopped immediately to find the wad of roofing tape on the floor of the truck, not even one piece of stucco was damaged. This is how I became aware of the previous damage, then read the green slip in my folder. I was charged for the total repair which seems quite unfair when the initial accident removed the entire metal cap that may well have caused me to stop sooner and avoid any damage.

I had the worst experience ever using your company, on the 10/1 packing. I had no choice after the no show from the company you recommended but to go with the only help available, the two guys were nothing but slow and it ended up costing me almost an extra $350 for the packing and when I arrived at Denver on 10/3. I had booked thru you the next company who was confirmed between noon and 1 pm at 1:30 I attempted several phone calls and emails with no reply again. Fortunately I found a local company to do the unloading, and it only cost me an additional $135. So needless to say I will not use your services again and will warn anyone thinking about your company unless they want to be stressed out to the max and spend $700 for movers instead of the $225 I had booked for

Avoid this location if possible. Check-in was a hassle. We made a very short trip, driving just 16.5 miles total; however, they tried to charge us for 46 miles. My keys fell out of my purse under the passenger seat. We called, and they had already rented the truck out again, but assured us that they thoroughly checked the cab after returned it, and didn't have a helpful attitude. We called two more times, hoping for someone more helpful and got the same story. I went at opening the next day and checked that truck myself, and there were my keys under the seat. And they were getting ready to send that truck out again with a new customer, without having checked. When I pointed all of this out to the woman at the front desk, she just stared at me. No apology or anything.

The ignition was almost impossible to start. You have to have extremely strong hands to start that car (truck). This location at Mile Hi is tough, because there was not a place to park my car while i used the truck. Also, when I asked for help in the parking lot, the lady that was assigned to the Returns, was not friendly. When I was returning the vehicle, which was after hours, and in the dark, I did not feel safe. The application was not working and I knew there was a $20 fee if I was to receive admin help from the office in the a.m. I kept receiving an app error about 3/4 of the way, when I would upload the 2nd photo of the clean car. I tried about 12-15 times and I would have to restart the process each time with the application wanting to know my location. Very time consuming, very tiring at the end of a long day. Also, when I initially placed my order asking for the various retail items, I was thinking that items would be ready for me. I spent a lot of time thinking through what type of boxes, and packing items, etc. that I would need. When I showed up, I had to start that process all over again. None of that was captured from my initial order. I found that very odd. I can see why you would not have all those retail items waiting in a truck, but I would think that record would have been captured in the initial ordering process. Oh, also, someone actually did kind of block the entrance with a very large trailer attachment. That could have been situated better. It was a hazzard. I remember when I rented a U-Haul in Colorado Springs last year. About the same size truck. It went extremely well. It was a very different experience. It was a good customer experience and it was very streamlined.

BEWARE! Furniture pads may not be sanitized during COVID!!! Rented 10' U-Haul truck for in-town trip to move a fridge. I used 6 furniture pads and a dolly. Returned the Uhaul after hours but 1) app didn't work, 2) website couldn't find my location, 3) spent 30 min waiting on the phone and no answer. Got a late fee but Uhaul Mile High supposedly is returning that to me. Also got charged a "cleaning fee" because pads were not folded. I do not recall receiving any written or verbal policy about folding the pads. In discussions with Uhaul Mile High rep, when I asked how do they sanitize the pad when they are folded and don't they lay them out first, they could not give me an answer. We are in the middle of public healthy pandemic, and I'm left to think that 1) they do not always sanitize the pads btw customers, 2) they sanitize folded pads which seems not truly cleaning them, or 3) they unfold the pads, sanitize them, then repackage them for the next customer. Either way, getting charged $25 dollars for a non-evident policy and lack of cleaning explanation seems unethical and punitive. It's a bummer cause I've rented at this location several times and previously had an excellent experience.

I had a problem with a trailer hitch installation involving a different U-Haul location and the staff at the mile high station location went out of their way to help resolve my issue and get me the perfect temporary storage solution to relieve some of the stress during a difficult cross country move.

With a single loading bay and single service elevator for the upper floors, expect needing patience for loading/unloading larger amounts of possessions in and out. There is space for about 1-4 customers to load/unload from if you count the side door and they have 4 carts appropriately. Realistically, there's space for 1 customer during business hours via the loading bay as the side door is EXCEEDINGLY inconvenient for more than a few possessions. DO try to have 2+ persons when on the premises, as it'll be a lot safer and quicker to operate with the system that's in place. I wish I could recommend it, but the lacking of designated loading zone options makes it difficult to do so for the price unless it's convenient for you... The staff there is very aware of this and try to make it easier if they can. Thank you all for your help with the situation that lead to my needing to use your facility! :)

I rented a van and a storage room. I loaded my items in the van and returned to the storage room to unload. Upon returning, after employee hours, but in access hours, I found the lock to my new storage room had not been removed. This prevented me from unloading the van.

My order was canceled for my truck because i was there at 3pm instead of 1pm. I was told this was a loose time table and no one even called me before cancelling it to see if i was just running late. I didn’t know it was cancelled until i got there-luckily they were able to still give me another truck-but i thought that was a big turn off from the start. I also wasn’t happy that when i called prior to booking the truck/storage unit regarding the 1 month free rent that i was told absolutely nothing about purchasing insurance or a circle lock-which i would’ve looked into prior to arriving for my pick up yesterday. Then, after spending 20 mins rebooking everything, we were told our truck was in row P...which had no keys. They then looked for the keys for 15 mins before giving us a different truck. We returned that truck at 6:45pm last night and I watched the workers drive it away after telling us our gas mileage and approving that the tank was refilled. I then received a call yesterday saying they couldn’t find the keys. Seems like a lot of lack of communication and it ultimately ate up 45 mins of time we could’ve been moving.

It smelled strongly of weed in the facility which was weird, not sure where that came from. It said it was a max security facility but it was really easy for anyone to walk into the garage. Also the facility itself was really janky compared to other similarly priced storage facilities I have used - the floors were awful and uneven so super hard to push the carts, and I was surprised that we had a chain storage unit instead of a walled in one, it makes me more nervous that someone will try to break in because they can see what is in the unit. Also the way the unit door locked there is still a large gap between the door and door frame even when locked as tightly as possible with a chain. Can't complain too much though because got a free month

I rented a 8' x 10' x 8' unit. When I checked in, the height of these units are only 6' high. When I asked about the height, they said it is on average 8' high. It's not even close to 8' high. This is completely misleading and actually false advertising. When I asked, they said they could move me to a different unit, but it would be more expensive. No other options or offers. Manager on staff was very rude and not helpful at all.

Manager of this facility is very rude. Condescending on the phone and attacks any unhappy customer. Numerous homeless people come in the open bay door all day long and use restrooms and sleep.

Very long lines both times I came in, not enough staff working the front desk. The elevator for the storage rooms only goes to the 3rd floor so I had to climb steps to move into my 4th floor room.
