I think the only aspect of this business that needs to be improved upon is more thorough training of front desk personnel. Although my overall experience was great, it could have been a bit better if the front desk had imparted a bit more information initially. The manager is excellent and the trucks are very clean. I will definitely recommend this location to my friends!

I was a walk in customer and instead of telling me to check back later or I was told only the reserved truck were available, so I went down the street and went online. I was called less than 5 minutes with an pick up time. Other than that every step with reservation was quicker and easier EXCELLENT!!!

I was told that because of the size of the truck i was renting, I could only use it for 5 hours, I was told when I went to return it I was told there was no rush and that I had the rental for 24 hours. So subsequently I rushed back so that I would not be in violation.I was extremely disappointed in the fact that I had to discontinue the job and reschedule the work and will have to re-rent another truck that we may finish the job on Tuesday. I have rented twice within 1 month from this location and each time I brought the trucks back I was confronted with the person checking in the vehicle that we were under on the gas. Each time I was offered by the agent checking the vehicle to fix it with a few extra dollars on the side. I refused to do that this second time and was told to go inside because they would have to check me out. I don't like being taken advantage of and in this case I felt like I was. I was picking up donations for a church, I am not interested in compromising for a few measly dollars. I was very disappointed in the manager for not addressing these issues when I was present. Very disappointed !!!

First there was no problem with the location however transportation canceled my reservation. I had 2 reservations and the 2nd one was cancelled. This totally through me off schedule and had to wait until the next day to get a truck. Then no one could fix the problem I, the customer was told to call transportation for a mistake they created. Then when I did call of course they were closed. Asked to speak to a supervisor before even calling and had to explain to the rep what the problem was to only then be transferred to a department that was closed. Then called the next day and was placed on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally spoke to a rep who had a cold so the whole call was her coughing and sneezing, the problem was never resolved as she had to transfer me to another department. Horrible experience. Then when I dropped the truck off I asked about your guaranteed reservation promise and the clerk tells me because I still got the truck the guaranteed reservation policy didn't apply. Overall horrilble experience. As much money as my company and I spend with you guys, service should have been much better.

Employees should know accurate information providing to customers, and also should provide great customer service while providing alternative to help fit customer needs. I had the worse experience ever at the in store facilities. However customer care agents were a little better providing alternatives to fit my needs but they also could’ve did better providing information. Memphis area always put the wrong people in charge to make location better training should be provided as policies or things change within the company, Memphis employees are terrible and Carolyn she was the worse and not helpful she act as if she was doing her job and she above and beyond to not be helpful or useful she’s also rude she was even rude to customers behind me rolling her eyes talking extremely loud arguing with me she should know customers is always right she will be the main reason I never spend a dime with uhaul.

The customer service was extremely poor. The young lady who conducted my check in, lacked the knowledge on the process and it appeared her focus was on flirting with her coworker verse properly assisting me. It took 30 minutes to get my paperwork completed. Upon returning the rental, there was a heavy set lady with the RUDEST attitude EVER. I use this location for all of my rental needs and never in the past have I experienced this type of customer service; I received on this visit. However, Mr. Brown appeared to be the only person with customer service skills. KUDOS to him.

The wrong mileage was put on the computer causing me to be changed for excessive mileage and I was charged $79 per day when it should have been $19.95. Also, the employee didn't seem to know how to use the computer. Also, she was very rude when I brought the error to her attention. I could not have been more disappointed in the service but in the obvious lack of concern from the employees. I certainly hope it wasn't an intentional over charge but it was an overchargethat was made worse by rude and uncaring employees.

The truck I rented was a 26 ft. The mileage was 156341 before I moved the truck. It was noted on my paperwork and I told the service agent. I drove 43 miles and charged for 66. That is not good business. I have the paperwork.

Employees need to pay more attention to their job an stop over charging people.

The location was extremely busy but had only one lady working the counter to handle reservations and walk-ups. Now, let me say this, the lady working the counter was doing an OUTSTANDING job given the workload being thrust upon her. But there's no way she should've been left in a position to working the counter alone. There needed to be at least one other person in there helping with check-ins. There's simply too much time that goes into each individual check-in to have only one person working. As a separate issue, the 6' x 12' trailer we rented had a bad tire that we had to exchange for another trailer. All told, I showed up at 9:35 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. reservation to rent a 6' x 12' open-air trailer for 10 hours. Between the long wait in line initially and the time spent waiting to exchange for a new trailer and the paperwork that had to be done with that, I did not pull out of the parking lot until a little after 11:00 a.m. That's ridiculous.

The line was long one lady was checking 2 customers in a one time she was doing her job beyond measures the truck stunk of maybe crawfish, the man who brought the truck to me was very nice and personal able. But when I checked the truck back in mind you everyone knows the bring the truck back where the gas hand was but this guy argued me that the gas was not the same as I left mind you I just put it in right across the street lol If anything it was over the return mark Im looking at the paper he is like your gonna be charged gas charges so i finally said I'll go back right across the street and put more gas in he is like just give me the $ and I'll wipe it clean. No telling how often he does this. I wouldn't use uhaul again I'll be sticking to Penske I'll pay a lil more for a better experience. MAKE SURE THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO YOU TAKE A PIC OF EVERYTHING!!!!

No place to put the key after hours. Had to have my daughter drive me to another location to drop off the key. Someone called from the drop off location and was rude to me. I then got charged for three days when I dropped the truck off the same day I picked up up and had to call Uhaul to get the extra charges dropped. Not a good experience

When a trailer is being returned and a worker prints a receipt from outside, the person working the counter should just give the receipt out without any back talk. Or you all should have a printer setup specifically for that purpose if the inside has a long line. I shouldn’t have to wait in a long just to get a piece of paper.

The customer service at the front desk was great. She was doing the best that she could alone. However, the outside attendants was no help at all. They could not find keys to the truck I reserved. I waited over an hour. I ended up downsizing and had to pull my own truck to the front. Then I ordered furniture pads that they could not provide. It was a mess but I rent from the same location and did not have those same issues before. Hope they get some organization and structure or I will be taking my business elsewhere

Extremely rude employee. ( young female) Double charged me and told me to come back 2 days later to have manager tcorrect the overcharge. I insisted and was told to call the 1800 number for assistance. Kept insisting and they finally called the manager to fix it. Employees kept blaming each other for the mistake and arguing loudly about who was at fault.

Let customers know more clearly that if they are dropping off the truck after hours that they need to go online and close the order. I was not aware of this. I was told by u haul it was a new policy, so perhaps not all employees are aware of it. If it affects the customer and could potentially cost them more money, it might be worth considering how training on new policies is implemented.

Truck I was given was fine till I locked the driver and passenger door overnight. The one key given would not open the door the next morning. I had to use another vehicle to drive to the office and get assistance unlocking the truck. Your store manager drove me back to the truck proceed to work on getting the door open which allowed me to return the vehicle as planned. The staff handled the situation professionally and efficiently. Thank you.

I rented this via the uhaul app. I used the express method to avoid a long wait time. I used the truck for under 2 hours and went 18 miles. I returned the truck and followed the prompts! A U-HAUL WORKER insisted that I hurry and LEAVE at her truck and he would finish checking it in. He FAILED to do so! It’s 4 days later and I have a 278.08 pending charge because the truck was never checked back in. The WORKERS obviously have not being paying attention because no one called to verify and receive payment for this rental. When I called to confirm the amount... I was told “I don’t know how to pull up the contract”. The attitude was very nonchalant considering I have almost 300.00 just pending and unavailable for use because of failure to complete a transaction. Horrible service indeed. I will never go back! I have overdrafts my account bcz I had my mortgage payment coming out and it tried to debit the money a few times. This 40.00 rental costed me 80.00 in fees!

Get more skilled workers. I use this location a lot but not going back. This is the one that’s close to my home. The new people does not know how to work the system. People were walking out and not renting cause it took 45 minutes to put one person in the system to rent a storage unit. They couldn’t find my rental and couldn’t put it in the system. I had to do it on line and pay on line just to get my renter. Even after I showed her that all my information was in the system. Very unprofessional and low skilled new workers. However you all had over there needs hire some people who knows there job and the system that they are working with!!!!!

I ordered and paid for 2 short wardrobe boxes - but when I opened the truck to pack they had put equipment boxes in the truck - not wardrobe boxes. Of course - no other location will reconcile this issue for me. I had to drive 30 miles to another U-Haul and buy the two wardrobe boxes AGAIN!

The first phone call I made the lady was very rude said it wasn’t any trucks. So I waited a whole and called back that person was very nice booked the truck When I came it was that rude lady didn’t give me the time I was told over the phone and gave me the wrong truck. Wanted me to come back after I had made it to where I was moving from. I said you need to fix it cause I’m not coming back until I move She said I had to be back before they closed on Sunday. So I did not finish moving I had to pay someone else with a truck to finish. I was not pleased.

When I picked up the truck, the back of the truck was wet & it smelt like gas then I made my reservation before I got there & when I got there they told me something different from what I was told then the price was different from what they gave me so I'm very disappointed with the service I had with the U-Haul on mendenhall... Then it was after 4 pm before they gave me the truck it was almost 5 pm & I had to have it back by 8 pm ... I will not be going back to that location...

The folks were great. They got me in and out quick and overall I was satisfied. The first trailer was in pretty bad shape. The attendant hooked it up and the lights didn't work, the rear door was pretty beat up. He quickly switched me out without hesitation so it was not an inconvenience. The trailer I got was in great shape. I would go back for sure.

Customer Service was NON EXISTENT on both pick up and return!! Truck was a piece of crap that I was afraid was going to break down or blow up on me at any moment. Never would I use this location again.

I only needed a ubox for a one way move. They added a monthly storage fee and have charged me for an empty box I no longer needed! Nobody will contact me and Dominic will not respond to my inquiries!
