Unfortunately, the rats over took my unit apparently with a unit down the way that had food stored in there. The racks destroyed 75% of the things that I had stored in that unit electrical, clothing, furniture etc. that I had to trash.

Unfortunately when I was about 70 miles from Orlando I had the back tired blown and I almost had a accident. I was completely stressed out and I couldn’t think for myself. Frank was the person to tell me the words I need that time. I had the truck towed to the Uhaul facility and for days I couldn’t solve the problem . Finally yesterday September 26 th . I was able to get all set. I had a V.I.P treatment by the whole staff. Frank was compelled with my situation with my dogs and knowing a little bit about how hard was my last days. Im 54 years old and I never had someone who put his heart to help me out.Representing one business. Today I feel renovated. And if this survey can be considered. I would like to ask for the UHaul directors or C.E.O. Please give Frank a shout. My experience with a “business with a heart make the difference in my life” Thanks to the whole UHaul staff. And for a Angel named Frank at the Maitland UHAUL facility. He really make my life easier. Eternally Grateful for all. Thanks

DARROL W. | First ImpressionsWorst uhal ever got a reservations this morning went to pick it up it wasnt there then Franklin the owner sent me the address for another place which was a sketchy car dealership no where near where he said it was going to be at.Had me driving around for an hour and a half tried calling the original location several times then finally get him on the phone and he said can i place you on a brief hold so i sit there not hearing anything for like 10 min .I drive back the the uhal place and Franklin is just sitting there eating his wawa sandwich and is just very unappologetic would never ever go back to that specific uhal.

Great! Franklin was a really nice guy and assured me my contents would be safe, and made the process smooth and easy.

My family drove all the way from Ohio after reserving a week prior at another location in Altamonte Spring, FL only to be told they did not have anything for us after providing our reservation confirmation number. That location was not accommodating and their service was terrible. We arrived with an 18 wheeler truck at this location and the gentleman was so kind!

David S.Was quoted (on phone when making the reservation) that total cost for the rental would be $120 (plus tax). When returning the vehicle, the mileage alone was charged at $147 (123 miles). Received vehicle with 1/4 tank of gas. Returned vehicle with just under 1/4 tank of gas and attendant informed me that it was “emptyâ€. I was charged for a quarter tank of gas ($45) and on top of that a $30 fee to put the gas in. Total cost of the rental was $340 when I was quoted $120. I understand some added cost for refueling, but not $75 for 10 gallons of gas. I will never use U-Haul again.

Careem h. | Online Move InThe storage and truck etc in apopka was the best. You have issues but you it has to do with dealing with the franchise and how each place conduct themselves. The worse for me this time was Sunny’s in Orlando. He mixed up my reservations and then hung up on me because he couldn’t get me to change my reservation for the next day. I would if I could. My help to move was only available on Saturday. I’m partly disabled and had no choice then. He didn’t speak proper English and things were worse trying to iron anything out so he hung on me and that was that. I have no problems with the actual uhual. Always treated very well and smooth. Which your online thing doesn’t work properly in leading in the right direction. Much more but let’s say next time I’ll prefer to just walk in to a uhual store and save me the headache. Thanks. Viv

Paulette C. | Overall ExperienceMy belongings were damaged from a leak in the roof that caused mold to grow all over items. In addition there were mice urinating and dedicating all over my stuff. I lost several thousand dollars in belongings. Extremely upset, my brother has a unit that ran into the same problem with the mice. The manager attempted to help, but was where’d about what corporate would say. Ultimately , I had to go through my belongs, clean what I could safe, and relocate it to a different facility all out of my pocket. There is some kind of insurance but no one has offered to help me figure that out. Very sad

I selected the option to contact someone I know. My contact received the text about the call that was to come, but the call never happened. So my contact had to reach out directly to customer service and have them verify over the phone. Another issue occurred after the identity verification was comolete where the screen for next step in the process would just hang and not being up next page. I had to reach out to customer service again via chat feature and have them reset the order so I could finish checkout . .

claribel c. | First ImpressionsThe only problem was I had a rodent issue because the other customers do not follow the guidelines of the U-Haul so my suggestion is to be more of a stickler to the customers on keeping food out of the units so other units won't pay the price I don't blame you but I blame the other customers that don't have the lack of understanding that they need to not have perishable items in their units....

I received no notice, and only found out I was supposed to be out in 10 days when my gate code stopped working. Roxie did reach out and make things right (by zeroing out my account and even refunding my January payment) however, the corporate system did not get updated. Because of that, I’m still receiving lien notices in the mail.

We were not notified that this was going to happen. We were told that a letter was mailed but we never received it. I really wish that we could continue to store it here because the location is ideal for us. I wish we had been given more notice and an explanation. If I hadn’t called to see why our payment had not been processed, I would never have known about the change. That is unacceptable.
CATHY E. | Overall ExperienceI had a reservation number. The manager couldn’t find me reservation. So, he began helping customers that came in after me. I sat there for about 15 mins. Another manager came in. He couldn’t find my reservation and he offered me more expensive choices. I’m 68 years old and I didn’t want a second level storage space where as I’m to climb up 2 flights on a metal movable ladder (stairs). I couldn’t afford the additional cost for a first floor and larger storage. In the moment, I signed up for the higher level unit. By the time I got there a customer the guy assisted before me had blocked me from getting to the second floor. I waited about a half in hour for her to gather items from her things. After a time I decided to cancel the reservation I had set up. I found and storage unit that was slightly larger and $2’s more. I felt invisible while the first guy ignored me a was helping people who were coming into the store. I had a reservation for a first floor. Why didn’t I get it or a better resolution? I felt unimportant and disrespected. I move from Georgia to Orlando in a short time period. You have lost me as a customer and I would not recommend you.
