Be EXTREMELY clear with customers making a long-haul move that the origin shipping location will be charging them a "storage reservation fee" monthly until their box arrives at the destination. I still believe I was double-charged for "renting" the UBox by both the origin store reservation and the UBox shipping reservation. This will be the last move I make with UHaul, it's been too complicated and stressful.

Provide Kama'aina rates for Kama'ainas. Don't just advertise that you do and then charge locals (40 years here) the regular rate of $1.59 per mile. Also, when you say equipment is being provided with xxx amount of gas DO NOT CHARGE for 2 gallons of gas when customer returns equipment with more fuel than it left with.

Steven S.Great help when I needed it. I couldn't fit my 5 crates in a 20' truck due to the obstruction inside for the gas tank inlet. They all fit in a 16' Penske truck 2 weeks befor. This caused me to make 2 trips instead of one, adding to the cost. Also, the online reservation cost per mile was $1.39 and not the in-person quote of $1.79. Just some minor stuff that I will know next time to double-check.

Got a great representative who did something that finally enabled us to start the process. She then talked us through the rest of the process but it took over an hour.

Wesley P.I drive 13 miles and put $6.00 of gas in the vehicle but was charged a $8.10 fuel charge. I understand $6.00 does not move move the needle much. But it more than covers the 13 miles I drove and the gas level was certainly at least where it was when I took the vehicle. And to say 13 miles used $8.10 worth of fuel is absurd. I believe this charge was because I did not have time to wait for the lazy employees to check me out this morning. I came in around 7:30 and there were tow employes working. One was helping a customer. The other was doing nothing. Occasionally he would go talk to/act like he was helping the other employee. But for the most part he was doing nothing. After 10 minutes of not even getting an acknowledgement I asked if I could turn in the keys, because I did not have time to stand around and do nothing, like this employee was doing. He was rude and abrasive and said "fine but if there's anything wrong you'll have to come back." So he decided to charge me $8.10 for 13 miles of gas I had already replaced. I even turned in the gas receipt with the keys to show I put gas in.

Kevin V.I made a reservation online and reserved a truck and an appliance dolly. My only goal was to move a refrigerator. I received the truck and went to get the refrigerator. I have been renting Uhaul trucks for decades and to my surprise, upon arrival at the site, the truck had no ramp to load the refrigerator. Having made a reservation for this small box truck and an appliance dolly, it would seem that Uhaul should have been alerted to the problem by the nature of the reservation. Uhaul should know their equiptment better than a consumer. Do I take some of the blame? Yes...but I specifically went into the store to pick-up the truck and have a discussion with the clerk, they were more concerned in short changing the rental and asking if I could return the truck in less than 24 hours...so they could turn around and rent it again. My rental was for 24 hours, not 3 or 4 or 6 hours. They did not catch the problem, that this equipment would not do the job I needed. It was a problem that I was not aware of. Loading the refrigerator was a nightmare without a ramp and the fact that the ceiling of the box van was very low greatly complicated the issue. Upon return I discussed the problem with the manager and he made lots of excuses, but specifically declined to discount the rental or miles. Poor service and inadequate resolution of the issue.

Yelisey P.I was originally in on Sunday, 4/3, and tried to rent a trailer under reservation #96801966. The person who helped me, I think his name was Isaac, was so helpful and kind. Even though the reservation didn't work out because my truck was not compatible with the trailer, I felt that the employee was empathetic and caring and was equally upset that it didn't work for me, while making me feel at ease and never made me feel like I wasted his time. I returned on my next available day, Wednesday 4/6 and the owner was helpful in completing my reservation for a small moving truck. Overall this is an excellent location, all employees I encountered were kind and helpful, and I will absolutely be beach again in the future.

Ronald M.The mobile check-in was horrid! Clear instructions about what to expect should have been given by the staff at the rental location. It was obvious that they have never used mobile check-in which should be part of their training so that they can better inform customers. The process was extremely tedious and it took nearly one hour while the moving crew was waiting for me! I made multiple attempts to obtain the check in code, having to allow U-Haul in the browser should have been stated from the start. Having to take a selfie and the driver's license was also a pain as it kept denying my photos cuz I wear glasses. Then they required additional authentification such as a passport or a rental lease agreement or an alternate phone number! WTF?! Who carries a passport Ora lease agreement with them??? So I gave a friend's phone number but it was denied because that was the same alternate number I gave at the beginning process. So ended up giving another friend's number but how am I supposed to know the person has their phone with them? Getting the key out of the lock box was also a nightmare, the lock was seized up. Then the truck was parked so close to the fence that there was no way to inspect the vehicle or take photos, I had to enter through the passenger side door. Needless to say, this was a very stressful process taking into consideration it was moving day and time was of the essence. I would not recommend the mobile check-in which needs much much improvement.
