Make sure you get the hitch size and stuff before u purchase a trailer because they do not have all of the manpower to help u get it changed so you will have to leave and go elsewhere and spend more money on what u need .

On Google maps it takes you to a spot on freeway wrong directions and when you call they only give you the address but it's not right and I was an hour and a half late picking it up so it needs to be fixed and more people will probably rent from that location

Communication with CS about the size of the storage unit needed to be understood. Gave them exactly what items I had and they gave me a smaller unit so when it was time for me store my items it wasn’t enough room for my items, had to purchase a bigger size.

Unorganized, truck wasn’t ready for pickup, true chaos at the counter because I wasn’t the only one it happened to. Once a truck was assigned, they couldn’t find the keys. Then the parking lot was so crowded, a single car could stop the flow of all rentals and drop offs. Overall put me behind on time and wasted over an hour for something that should have been a couple minutes. Also I’m not sure if the add ons I needed were put in during all the confusion. I don’t plan on going back to this location if I can help it.

Treat the next customer as if they don’t know anything and give them all the information and knowledge needed to have the best experience. When I first showed up- the reps at the desk- they had to finish their personal conversation first before acknowledging my presence and then did not even go by what we had secured online, and I had to ask where to go and if it’s ok for me to go, not very communicative.

The first customer rep Julie from another location was really nice & helpful. When my brother went to pick up the truck the rep that helped him didn’t know what she was doing & charged me an extra $287 for my trip. The general manager did call me & refund my money so I was satisfied with the outcome. I would Not recommend this Grand Prairie location. .

IThey tried to steal my money from me by charging me $50.00 for 4 gallons of fuel when I returned the vehicle with MORE fuel than it had in it when I picked it up. I will make sure to tell Google, the Federal Trade Comission, the Department of Consumer Affairs and Everyone I know not to do business with this company. Plus, yourt rude fucking store manager hung the phone up on me!!

The first passenger van had a low tire pressure light and the equipment would not apply air correctly. It took an additional 20 minutes to figure that out and switch out the van. Everything else was quick and easy and I returned the replacement van within hours with no issues. Thank you.

Get staff that can actually handle the volume of customers at your location. They at and talked for over 45 minutes about things not concerning uhaul and the THREE people ahead of me said they themselves had been there for an hour plus IN LINE. They were rude and short. You ask a question for clarity they repeat there previous response. The truck was stink and almost on E but they said for ME to bring it back on a full thank LOL. Do better! I’ve never seen a more crappy uhaul

Rented a 10 footer and found out no ramp. Called the location and said they will switch it for for 15 footer but being charged for 2 days only because of an hour late even though waited in line forever to return the first truck and pick up the 15 footer and then gain waited forever to return the 25 footer

I had an absolutely horrendous experience at the U-Haul location managed by Michael Daniels. From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The staff, especially Michael Daniels, were extremely unprofessional and seemed to have no interest in customer service whatsoever. Upon arrival, I asked for assistance in unloading my car from the trailer. To my utter disbelief, the staff flatly refused to help me. Despite explaining my situation and clearly needing help, they were indifferent and dismissive. Michael Daniels, the so-called general manager, was the worst of them all. He couldn’t be bothered to lift a finger to assist me and seemed perfectly content to leave me stranded at his store. In desperation, I had to call U-Haul corporate to force them to provide the assistance that should have been readily available. Only after involving corporate did I receive the help I needed, but by then, my frustration had peaked. Michael Daniels’ behavior was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful. It’s clear that he prioritizes his convenience over customer service. Avoid this location if you value your time and sanity. The lack of professionalism and basic decency is appalling. This experience has definitely made me reconsider ever using U-Haul again.

Make sure any extra equipment the customer ordered is in the truck. I ordered a regular dolly and an appliance dolly. When I got the truck to my location to start loading it and opened the back I found that neither of the items I paid for were in there.

The blonde with the opal ring was very professional & patient during my check in. The black boy w/ the dreads whose job I guess is to get the truck 'ready' should've loaded & fastened my utility dolly inside the truck but he left me to do everything by myself. The nice brunette with the septum piercing is a Godsend. The women at this location demonstrate that rare Above & Beyond care which is what keeps customers for life!

Make sure that your trucks have the gas in them and when it’s return reimburse for the overage. That sucks cause the guy told us that U-Haul would reimburse us for the overage. So no thanks U-Haul

When I reserved a truck I had picked a location that was close to my location, then received a notice that my location would be changed. Never received an updated location. Went to the initial place I picked only to be sent to a different location that was 15 minutes away. I called to confirm that they had the truck I reserved and got conformation that they did only to arrive to find out that they did not have the truck. The gentleman that was at the desk hardly cared that I was on a time crunch to which I asked if there was another location he could send me to to pick up the truck I thought I previously reserved to which, thankfully, he contacted another location that confirmed with him that they did have the truck. Another 20 minutes later I finally received the truck from the last location; which were very professional, to make it back home an hour behind schedule. I hope to receive an email regarding my response and would like to include these locations as I could've reserved a truck at any other company. If read thank you for your time.

The storage units need lights. There were times when I reserved a truck and the truck was not available, yet there were trucks on the parking lot. On occasion I was told there was a truck reserved for me at the current location and it was not there. I was sent to Uhaul at the airport. The $1.00 move-out charge made my negative experiences vanish. Thank you for that blessing it certainly beat paying the $500.00 I owed!!!

We had a storage unit here on the 3rd floor for almost 3 years. Since July of last year 2023 the elevator has been out of order. So needless to say, if we needed to take anything in/out of the unit we had to hike the stairs. We were charged every month full rent and were inconvenienced for almost a year. Elevators were fixed on March 27, 2024. I complained locally and to corporate multiple times and nothing was ever done. I can go on and on about the situation but it’s not worth me getting upset any longer. We moved out on March 28, 2024. Terrible location and company overall.

I would have given a higher overall rating but the elevator has been inoperable for months. As a renter who had a unit on the top floor that was definitely inconvenient. Staff was very friendly and I did feel my items were secure. I just found it difficult to keep paying increased rates when the only elevator wasn’t working for months.

I have run into several problems while renting a storage unit here. I will list them chronologically. When I moved in, I was assigned and unit. When I went to access the unit for the first time, there was a red store lock on it already. I went back down and requested assistance, when we returned up to my unit, there were already a bunch of furniture in it. I was told that I was going to use another unit nearby. My friends and I moved all of the stuff into it, then was told never mind, I would be using the original storage unit. We then had to move everything out of the unit we had just filled, and into the original unit after the staff emptied it out and moped the floor. Sometime around July/August of '23, the elevator was broken. As of move out date over 6 months later, it is still broken. Seeing as my storage unit is on the 3rd floor and I had heavy appliances in it like a washer, you can imagine how frustrating that is. I doubt I will ever rent anything from this particular U-haul again due to poor experiences with the truck rental and U-box rental as well. This is unacceptable. Please fix your facility.

I waited for a long time for the lift to be repaired before I can rent the storage and location of choice, but the lift was still not fixed after a very long time, and upon the time of renting the one that I eventually settled for. If the lift is unserviceable, please install a new one because every electromechanical device has lifespan.

I was very disappointed that the room I had reserved was given away and I had to reserve 2 rooms to have enough space. However, after the first, smaller, truck was unloaded the staff was able to locate an outside large enough space for all my belongings and my movers were willing to complete the moving of the first load the following week so everything is in one large unit. So for everything; I reserved a large unit. It was given away. I then had to reserve 2 smaller units, but finally was able to get a large unit a day later and was able to combine all belongings. The whole thing was a real challenge but the staff was very kind and helpful.

Everyone at the store was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the our situation. Even though the system went down they were still able to help us and provide excellent customer service. I will definitely be using uhaul in the future and telling all my friends about the great service!

Returning the truck was somehow challenging. The lady helping us was not very accommodating and at times she was rude. We finally had to go to a different facility because she would not take the truck, like if it was our responsibility, once we were already there at that facility..

In the past one could not really get good customer service on the phone ! They kept going up on my rent !! They had a water leak and doing repairs and got some of my valuable things wet and through their process they just rushed us through it and didn't compensate us for it !! They really suck here but I wasn't going to move all my things to another storage facility somewhere else !! But my honest opinion this place really sucks !!!!

This facility was poorly maintained, and the pest control was a joke. I have been at this location far too long at my own fault. I’ve complained a long time ago about the pest control, but no one did anything about it. I have pictures and video from my unit after I moved out, and it’s disgusting. The only contents I had in there were papers, furniture, mattress/box springs that were in bags, and clothes. The ironic thing was that this facility kept raising the cost because of “improvements”, but I never saw any improvements to this facility. I will never use this facility again, will not ever recommend anyone to use this facility, and will advise people against using this facility.
