So the truck wasn't quite on half full when I picked it up. I filled it up to where it was at.Angela E.
I reserved a 10 X 10 unit 48 hours in advance with a verbal phone call from erica at the mcdowell and i17 location with a guarantee of availability along with a trailer rental and when i arrived with belongings in tow i was informed that the unit i reserved 48 hours prior was never VACANT AND THEY ARE AT 100% capacity. So i am infuriated that i wasted 2 and a half hours on my trailer rental to not get a storage unit that i have confirmation emails and verbal assurance was available but when i arrive be told my reservation was and is never a valid unit and have to use a different company for storage. And then get told by uhaul that a 10 by 10 unit is not priced at 109.95 but they charge 175.00 for that unit. Um, that my friends is false advertising. Your board in your office for pricing on units states 109.95 for a 10 X 10 unit along with your online advertising. So WHO IS LYING HERE???? I WILL BE SPEAKING WITH CORPORATE IN PERSON REGARDING THIS INCOMPETENT BLUNDER. I am severely disappointed with the PHOENIX UHAUL STORAGE FACILITIES. I HAVE NEVER ONCE HAD THIS MUCH DISCREPANCIES REGARDING A RESERVATION MADE AHEAD OF TIME FOR SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY. ON TOP OF THAT ERICA AT I17 AND MCDOWELL LOCATION PROCEEDED TO CALL OUT ME AND MY WIFE AS LIERS REGARDING HER CALL ON JUNE 2ND 2021 REGARDING HER PHONE CALL TO CHECK FOR AVAILABILITY AT THE 2ND ST LOCATION AND VERBALLY STATING TO THE REPRESENTATIVE TO HOLD THE UNIT AND GAURANTEEING A 10 X 10 UNIT AT THAT LOCATION FOR ME N MY WIFE. SHE CLAIMS THAT NEVER OCCURED. THIS IS VERY SLY AND TRICKERY. AND I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE MAIN CORPORATE OFFICE IN PERSON. PRICE GOUGING AND LYING ON AVAILABLE UNITS, NOT ONLY ILLEGAL BUT A DISTASTEFUL EXPERIENCE ALL IN ALL. TO BAD THEY DO NOT HAVE A 0 STAR BUTTON CAUSE THAT IS WHAT I WOULD RATE THIS EXPERIENCE.Stepehen H.

I have no idea what U-Haul location this survey is in reference to. If it's to the one on 2700 N. 3rd Street, then my experience was terrible. I had a pick up truck scheduled and when I went to pick it up, there was no vehicle there. I had to be on hold for U-Haul customer service for 20 mins before I could speak to someone to resolve this. Then it turned out that no pick up trucks were available close to me anymore, so I had to take a cargo van from the location on 2235 W. McDowell. That location was great! The customer service was phenomenal and everyone working at that location was hustling to get clients taken care of because it was a busy, hot Saturday and they were still courteous, efficient and knowledgeable.PATRICIA R.

We arrived April 26th and were prepared for our box to arrive on May 1st and be accessible/delivered by May 3rd. Instead, we slept on the floor for 2 weeks until our box was finally delivered on May 11th. *Improve delivery accuracy. There was no communication regarding the status of our box- any information we received was through calling and waiting for it and by going to the actual U-Haul location in Kentucky for updates. *Improve communication and updates. You should update me if a shipment is late- I shouldn't have to go looking for this information. We have a screenshot of us waiting on hold for over 2.5 hours while waiting for a local store in Kentucky to pick up the phone after being transferred from the general line to customer service to the local store because they couldn't tell us where our box was and didn't seem to have the faintest idea of how the transportation process worked. Finally just went to the site *Improve call wait times & make sure that customer service reps have a better rounded knowledge of things so that a customer does not have to be transferred more than once. It's been over a week since our box has been delivered and the service was completed. I haven't seen the $50 per day rebate be returned to my account. Do I really have to call sub-par customer service again?? *I shouldn't have to hound you for money that should be refunded. The rating of "excellent" is for the location in Arizona, who was very helpful and provided everything I asked for, the drop-off and delivery times were spot on. The truck I had reserved was missing, somehow, so I was instead given a truck someone had just returned. It was probably the worst truck I've ever rented: steering way out of alignment, hopeless gas guzzler, passenger side all scraped and scratched up, obviously not washed in a long time. Also, some of the the pictures in the app for initial condition looked old, when the truck was in better condition. Had to take it, though; no leeway in the schedule.Terry T.

Hi, I had a big problem with loading my equipment the right way. So the problem was that one of the guys at the U-Haul rental place told me to put most of the weight on the back of the trailer because he the tow hitch it's a little low but that became a big problem ...the trailer started to sway a lot ...I almost died like 3 times...I decided to pull over after almost a big Mayor accident..I went by your sticker 60%in front and 40% in back. The guy who did my order was not the guy who had the brilliant idea , it was the guy who handles the propane.other than that my rental was good.Jeffrey P.

This is a good store. All of the employees were really helpful and pleasant to deal with. Except the caucasian fellow with the slightly stretched earlobes and tattoos up and down his arms. I rented a van at one location but got a text that they had no vans and was to go to MCDowell Rd. There they had no vans either. Got a beat up 15' box truck. I left and 45 minutes later I got a call from the first location asking if I was coming by for the van! I was so mad, I was already halfway to where I needed to go! Find a way to connect your local u-haul retail outlets on the computer with the transportation department, the U-box department, the reservations department and the customer service department. Every problem I had, created a series of at least 5 different calls to 5 different departments, none of which communicated with each other.Michelle M.

I was charged for 2 contracts. The 2 nd contract , the call center can't find. What's even more fustrating is I called the store over the weekend just to be shunned off. I called the call center and I was transferred twice, and on the 3 rd transfer the sent me to nowhere without even a warning that she was transferring me. Is it just me, or is customer service suffering not only here, but everywhere . I have disputed the charge with my credit card company since I can not get any resolution from Uhaul. This makes the entire experience unpleasant, even though the equipment was fair. 89641809 is the contract made by someone to charge me for services or products I did not buy. I went to pick up a van today at 1. When I arrived they said the van was not back yet and that I could wait until 3:30 to get it or be referred to another location. I was sent to a different location that was even farther from the place I was originally trying to go to. We asked if we could return the van at the other location when we were done to avoid driving all the way back out again and we were told that was not allowed. I would like either a refund or 50$ because of the guarantee that says our vehicle should be at the correct location at the correct time.Kylie B.

I talked to a guy in the morning. Not sure how to spell his name, joquan or something like that. Called me in the morning before i was able to bring it back with a pretty decent attitude. I understand that you cant always get a truck back on time, and I couldn't bring it back on time either. But his tone and the way he talked/treated me over the phone was unacceptable just because I couldn't move into my house soon enough. Will not recommend this location to anyone and will ultimately tell people to contact another company due to that interaction alone.Jared C.

Trying to create an account on your website and on your app is a horrible experience once I finally got everything all set up and watched your tutorial videos I still couldn't check in when I went to pick up the truck and still had to check in manually with a person the truck and the location were fine the app and the website were a bad experience I have to rent another U-Haul next week I'm not even going to try to use the app it's not even worth my time I'll just check in with a personMICHAEL S.
Please let the customer decided if they want to rent additional stuff from you, like dolly, boxes or any other items, I place my order by website and only want to rent the truck, when we finish the rental process we find out that we have a dolly and some protection pads on our order ðŸ¤·ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ also the protection cover, other than that everything was smoothALBERTO V.
Your phone walkthrough contactless option needs some work. Our vehicle wasn't out front. Took us almost 30 minutes of wasted time to finish the process. Employees could have been more helpful and thought ahead of what's right in front of them to help out their employees. Someone directed us to the back of the building for our truck so we had to drive all the way back there to find out we had to come back inside for the key to continue the process. Employee could of saved us the trouble by thinking ahead and telling us to come get our key inside before heading to the back. I complained to the staff working. He tried to make the excuse without knowing the situation that we had pressed the wrong button and it directed us to the next generated vehicle so it was our fault the truck was in back however that wasn't the case. We arrived from California to empty our storage unit only to find ALL of our furniture COVERED in a thick layer of dirt and dust due to their current construction. It scratched our wood furniture and our TV. Our couch was covered with the greasy dust and we had to pay a professional to come clean it for us before moving it into our new hone. When we asked if there was an compensation for the damage to our furniture we were told "No, sorry, it's just how it is." I asked for the manager to call me the next day and I was told that he would, but no one called. We have used this facility for years as our daughter is a student at GCU and we would store her things here every summer when she came home. Very, very disappointing.Daniel H. | Overall Experience
