We live in the Twin Cities and even with booking a trailer a month in advance, they booked us a pick up location 2 hours away and swore up and down there was nothing they could do to find something closer. Ended up cancelling and rebooking again and magically they found something closer. We paid Uhaul to install the hitch and it was dangerously dragging once we started driving. Had to stop and unhitch the trailer and get it reinstalled. Then when we returned it we were overcharged for days. We have given Uhaul more than $1000 worth of our money and hours spent on the phone trying to fix this. Terrible experience.

On the website, it claimed that the rented plastic moving boxes were cleaned & sanitized between rental uses. At least half of the boxes I had were absolutely not cleaned or sanitized, and a couple of them were nearly unusable - time was short enough without me having to clean a bunch of the boxes to make them sufficient for packing my things.

The truck I was given was trapped between two other trucks, so I went to exchange for a different vehicle. The 2nd truck was also trapped between two trucks. The third was good, but I had to walk back and forth from the lot to the office each time, which made me a little late. The truck was also only 1/4 full of gas, which wasn't a big deal, but made me wonder if I would be charged extra for not filling it to 1/2 tank. This added a bit of extra anxiety to my day. The guys at the desk were friendly and helpful though.

Guy at counter was busy but got me out the door quickly to rent a pickup truck. Same guy was handling business when I returned the truck later that night. Solid employee. Parking lot could use better lighting. Was hard to see where to go when returning and visibility was very bad in a crowded lot. Will lead to fender benders.

They did not check in the trailer when I returned it. I was contacted by the equipment recovery department asking me to return the trailer two days after I returned it. The dealer also charged me for an additional day. I had to call the dealer and complain to them to get a refund.

Right after I arrived, the place got busy which delayed getting someone to where the trailers were to hook up to my vehicle. And when someone did arrive it seemed accidental and he was new, failed to tighten the ball joint without me promoting and connected the wires to the wire cap on my vehicle rather then the actual terminal. A customer should be fully attended to with the properly trained employee before moving on to the next person. If I didn't have some familiarity with the hookup process, it would have been a bigger problem.

Have the vehicles ready to go by the time the person gets there maybe even have the truck and if they rent a trailer with already hooked up and the lights working so they don't have to wait around on time they've paid for Trying to get it set up and roadworthy. Also maybe have the vehicle's tire pressure and coolant checked before they leave as well. And have good quality pictures when you do the mobile walk around with your phone before you leave with the vehicle because you could barely see any of the defects like the chip in the windshield the cracked corner piece of the box on the truck Because the picture itself was distorted and when they take the pictures the bad angles not showing parts of the defect that is blocked and not a good quality picture for the person when doing the walk around. I seen a cracked wheel shroud for the tow dolly dirty windows dirty vehicle itself and the inside could have used some cleaning as well Definitely the inside of the vehicle was a lot better than the outside or any of the issues that came about on the strip because u-haul is either getting represented horribly or is just horrible.

I think the company U-Haul should have the back of their customer and not let their competition lie to them and Bully them around. Also it is very important that if the local office updates the rental policy and extends it, it is important the information transitions to the National system to avoid problems like the U-Haul truck being towed and a bunch of downtime talking to you guys about it. you actually owe me money for the 2-hour downtime that it took to resolve the issue.

Was a great store. Had every imaginable box/packing needs on site and in ample quantities. Check out went smoothly - went to the yard to get trailer and an employee was waiting for me. Had the trailer hooked up and left the yard within 10 minutes..

Employee used his personal phone to take a picture of my I.D. for the transaction, this was incredibly unsettling and unsecure. This alone will keep me from using uhaul in the future. Truck cab was dirty, obviously it had not been cleaned for some time.

I liked it at first, but not sure now because they are really mixed up with my account. I was told in person that I was all clear and good, but now they are trying to take more money out of my account. It is very upsetting. There is some confusion going on in the department. But other than that staff was very friendly and helpful.

The employee Ethan was rude when we arrived to check in. He was impatient and not willing to help or find a solution to our situation and escalated the tension. He then threatened to cancel the reservation for the moving truck on the day of my move in. After moving out of the storage unit, my mom called to pay and end the lease. I received an email from Ethan weeks later saying there was overdue balance and the unit was not paid for which was false since it was already taken care of. I am very unhappy with our experience here and would not recommend anything other than buying boxes.

The location was good, once we were told where to drive in with our large motorhome there was enough room. The staff in the store seemed disorganized. The first staff member who helped us with the trailer did not hook it up properly and did not stay to make sure we could load the car. Another staff member helped us out and was terrific.

Driver's license/headshot verification and approval to drive the truck should take place before the day of rental. It was a hassle to do all of that by phone while standing outside of the truck, and wait for it to process.

I started driving from the Saint Paul location to Brooklyn park, and the braking system failed while I was driving. I could not completely stop even when pushing the brakes all the way. The truck said “service braking system “ and was making a noise while I was driving. I went to leave my truck at the Brooklyn park location because I felt unsafe to drive it. When I called I was directed to road side assistance, they said to wait for someone to come service it first but I didn't have time for this. I then just went to the Brooklyn park location and they found a leak in the breaking fluid, finally I was able to leave it there after he tried refilling it and sending me on my way.

Missing a lock inside the unit - had to go back to the desk twice to get a lock for the rental unit. Overall, staff were easy to communicate with and the only real challenge was lack of parking for the duration of the truck rental (also from Uhaul).

First time in five 9 foot cargo van rentals (past year) there wasn't a serious mechanical problem. All five vans were very dirty. I received no final receipt and had to look at my card account online to see what I was charged. All vehicles should have the fuel topped off so I don't have to guess - this is a big scam on your part as you always get more more fuel by renting vehicles with a less then a full tank. Most employees are just sitting around with long lines rather then actually working on problems listed above. Over all I'd list your company as a poorly run scam tied to the storage rental business which is also a major scam. I have thankfully downsized to the point where I won't need your services as much in the future. The way you word/work you vehicle insurance is also a scam. You will not post this review online (but I will spread the word through word of mouth/social media).

Van has a low tire pressure warning, so I couldn't see the mileage when I picked up or dropped off. I drove about 10 miles, but was charged for 69. I shouldn't have left the lot without seeing the mileage. The location is very convenient.

My original rental wasn't re-rented the night before I was never notified of that. When I arrived to pick up my truck. I was then notified that it wasn't ready and had to go to a further location. The guys that I hired to move me were waiting for 30 minutes before I arrived back with the truck. Not a very good experience

Two out of three of the front desk staff needed to repeat customer questions to the third because they didn't know the answers themselves. When asked what size lock would be needed for the trailers, I was told “the gold ones.” Since there were multiple brass ones that came in all the same sizes as the non-brass ones, I asked for clarification and was told “all of the gold ones work.” I'm not thrilled that there were so many people working on-site and I'll still have to call the main number to get an answer to a simple lock question.

The Staff working here have bad communication skills. Time reporting for work is poor. You can not start work at 9 am and arrive at 8:55am. Check in vehicles return early in order to know your inventory. Manager called me on the phone to ask if I returned vehicle when the vehicle was returned 45 minutes earlier. Bad work ethics

Rented a 26 foot truck online, when I arrived they only had a 20 foot truck and I was informed that the substitution was made “because we didn't have one available and no one was here to tell you”. I would have rented elsewhere if I had known this. Classic uhaul bait and switch leaving you with no other options. Oh and the check engine light was on, airbag light was on and the cargo area needed to be swept before I could put anything in it. But the best part was the truck had “1/4 tank” which was really an 1/8 tank and the low fuel light came on 3 miles down the road. Unreal.

My experience was great until I realized that the insurance I purchased did not cover the overhead damage to my moving truck. En route to returning my moving struck, I ran into a roof (my fault). What was VERY frustrating was to find out that my MoveSafe plan did not cover overhead damage but that a different plan, MoveSafe Plus, did. When I said "yes" to wanting insurance on the day of picking up my UHaul, there was never any mention of varying levels of insurance for me to choose from. Thus, I did not have the opprutnity to purchase MoveSafe Plus, which would have covered the damage done to my UHaul. In the week leading up to picking up my UHaul, I talked to four different UHaul representatives and not one of them offered insurance to me. I find this to be a hole in your customer service - not providing the full insurance options to the customer. I am all for owning my actions, but what I find frustrating is to be in a situation where I need to pay for more of the damages than I would have had to if I was provided the opportunity to say "yes" to SafeMove Plus. On a positive note, I am grateful that one of the men drove the UHaul from the back of the building up to the front when I first picked up my UHaul. They also helped me realize I originally signed up for too many blankets. Overall; however, my experience has been very frustrating with the lack of clarity in insurance options.

I was charged for four days when I only rented equipment for two. They told me that I returned the equipment on the 4th day even though I handed the keys directly to an employee on day 2. Called to get this resolved, said I'd get a refund in 3-5 days. After the 5th day no refund, so I called back. Corporate told me they took care of it and to call the store. I called the store and they told me to call back tomorrow. I did that and got yelled at, repeatedly interrupted by, and hung up on MULTIPLE times. Equipment worked fine but service was atrocious.

The person dropping off the container at our home in Port Orchard provided absolutely outstanding customer service. Worked overtime to get us our container in time for install appointments that were dependent on the contents for the next day. Then came very early the next day to pick up the trailer so it wouldn't be in the way for the installers coming to the house. Absolutely exemplary service, Very grateful.

There was rat poops everywhere and no food of mine was stored in there. No lighting was available above my unit so we could hardly see what we were doing. The light on the hallways would automatically turn on but non above the units. I called to ask a question about renting a truck from this location and the guy on the phone could not be understood as his sloppy English was so bad I couldn't understand a word he was saying. It was a busy day, but the staff was helpful. But there was someone on a vape pen at the front desk while working? I totally support that on a smoke break or even if they moved outside, but it seemed a bit unprofessional to be doing that at the front desk while the office was still open (indoors) while serving customers. The storage facility was perfect for my short term storage needs. I was also surprised how comfortable this storage facility is. The indoor loading dock is convenient, has plenty of light and comfortable. Various cart are provided to move your stuff easily.

I couldn't find my storage space number on the paper and I was not told when they printed out for me. And then I was trying to help myself hard to find the room. I was exhausted and try to reach them to ask he said we are out of the clock. And I missed out that day to get in because I couldn't know where the room is at, plus I didn't receive that help I deserved it.

I went there and didn't know exactly what I needed for my vehicle and rental unit. I told them exactly what I paid for already. I was only given a key for the vehicle and almost left and had to go back in and ask about the unit. They realized they did not give me everything I needed so then I had a key for the unit. That night I went to the storage space and there were homeless people roaming the indoor spaces. I did not know how to find or operate the building, no one was answering calls for assistance. Poor experience overall.

Roderick Cason (I hope I spelled that correctly) made my move in and drop off of equipment as easy and efficient as possible. I had had problems with my reservation due, I believe, to errors made in Winnipeg, where I picked up the truck. I was frustrated by the additional stresses those problems caused en route to Minneapolis. Roderick's professionalism and sincerely caring attitude turned my mood around within minutes. He is a fine young man and a tremendous asset to the company, and that branch in particular. Gracias.

All staff members I've interacted with over the past few days have been very willing to help - in particular Lisa - when navigating busy phone lines, answering questions, dealing with stressed-out customers, and new employees who appear to be still in training and not yet "in the know." I would recommend telling new employees to communicate to customers that they will help FIND the answer vs. the "I'm new" and throwing their hands up in the air. It does not instill confidence or empowerment to them, or your clients. That said, everyone has been friendly and polite to me. ¡Gracias!

24 hour access like the store outing crystal would have been nice since I had a smaller unit here and was paying the same price as I was there. That and the lighting kinda sucks when the light on the rows are on it's still way to dark in the units but what sucks is how short the timer is on them. Having to go out of the unit and jump around just to trip the motion light was very inconvenient. But the staff is awesome here, the place is very well maintained, and it feels very secure, not once was I worried about my safety or my stuff.

Because of the storage place a Los things they kept cutting the locks and changing the locks I think it's a scam so they can get paid for the locks they lose the keys when they change the locks so you'll have to buy new ones with your upgrade it make you pay more for locks. Had to cut lost twice to see if they don't lie to my face would never ever come there again

Staff is rude. They give yiu a free month and then cut it off before the deadline and refuse to let you in. Asked me to pay and when I get there I am escorted off being told they don't want me there then turn around and sell things they legally aren't allowed to sell. Don't ever go here.

I was assisted by Josiah and Lisa. They both went above and beyond to help me choose between UBox and UStorage options. I am from out of state (Las Vegas NV) so this decision was stressful for me, but they made it easy for me to come to a firm and resolute decision. Josiah even lent me his personal tool set so I could socket wrench apart some of my pieces for storage. This is by far one of the cleanest UHaul Storage facilities I've ever experienced. Every staff member I encountered seemed happy to be there and eager to help. I particularly appreciated the loading dock option and the 24 hour access indoor garage loading option to keep me out of the 5 degree snowy weather. I highly recommend this facility.

Simply awful behavior by current manager. After his disparaging attitude and behavior toward me I said that he was being patronizing to me. He glared at me and walked away despite not finishing transaction. I reapproached him and he said that I had called him a name. Not so. He then told me to leave and return if I chose. I calmly but assertively requested his manager's contact info. He refused. Men in line looked shocked. I went to my car and returned a few minutes later. He then transformed into a different personality. Very odd !! Very spooky man.
