The facility was clean and tidy, the truck I rented was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was EXCELLENT!Robert B.
I parked the 15ft. truck, full of everything I owned (I am moving) so that all my precious personal items would be safe until I unloaded them into storage the next day. I told U-Haul that I was parking there and left. The camera showed 3 individuals stealing the truck with all my stuff at 7:30pm. The truck was returned to the Decatur facility 11 days later. Now U-Haul wants to charge me for turning the truck in late, and for 1100 miles that were put on it by the thieves. Almost 1200.00 dollars. They were personable, polite, and great to work with, but the rental smelled like smoke,it was outdated, dashboard was messed up, and the cabin light was barely hanging on.The staff are good people that do their very best with what they have to work with and maybe if their employer would upgrade some uhaul trucks this place would be my all-time go to place of uhauls.Phillip L.

We were forced into a product purchase by employees. We were told we must take u haul insurance today to rent truck. I rent U-Haul almost weekly, I carry full coverage insurance and prefer to use my own. I have never been forced to take any un wanted insurance or anything else. My experience s until today have been positive. I will never use this location again.LIONEL T.

Make sure that the check ins are done correctly. It took going back the next day to have it show the trailer was checked in even though a employee is the one who did the original one. They said it was a computer glitch but it took 2 days longer to release the hold on my credit card. Other than that all was good.Michell R.

We purposely selected mobile pick up due to Covid and did all the paperwork and uploaded my driver's license .. however we still had to come in and wait and be around people. We also had a reservation much closer to our hotel and it was changed 2 hours before pick up which cost us over$30 more in uber coats. The people we worked with were very niceJennifer S.

Train and oversee your employees more thoroughly. They checked my cars wiring and told me my car was defective so I had my car checked and my car was ok. Their trailer had defective wiring issues.Cheryl B.
The process was a nightmare. Only two trucks were available on the lot. Both were damaged and should not have been available for rent (broken lights, smashed front end of the box, etc). The employees did not identify the damage, I discovered the damage on both vehicles upon completion of my own walk-around. The employees did not know how to read the fuel gauge fractions, and miss-marked the fuel level by 1/4 tank. The equipment was in poor condition, and the only solution the store had was for me to take a damaged truck, and call road-side assistance en route. The cab of the truck had a foul odor (wet dog), and it was not clean. The cupholder was also broken. The entire process took more than 3 hours to pick up the truck. The agent was not friendly or supportive to me as a customer. I was not compensated for the inconvenience and hassle. I will not rent from uhaul again.Davis D.

There was one Caucasian female working who hung up on me once, put me on hold and forgot me then was a little less than friendly when I came into the store to request to add additional day. Please remind staff that it doesn't hurt to be polite. The two African American ladies were extremely polite and have worked hard to ensure excellent service and I thank them!!Wendy G.

Mobile pickup wasn't available upon arrival so had to go through a long process to get the truck. Then when I go inspect it, it's disgusting onside and out with barely any gas in it. Employee said others were low too so this was best option. Then when I return at dark it was very low lit and felt unsafe.Elizabeth M.

Make sure you let the customer know if your going to change the name on the reservation. You should never take the person's name off the reservation who made the reservation. Just because they wanted to add a 2nd driver. When I returned the truck I was inconvenienced . This should of never happen, I have problems walking had a total right knee replacement a few months ago. It was my responsibility not the person I had helping me. I made the reservation not him. I had to call him and inconvenience him to come all the way back ,so I could get my refund . I had to wait we had been out moving and cleaning stuff all day we were tired and just wanted to relax the rest of the evening. I will never rent from their, my whole experience was unacceptable. Your computer system should never change a person's reservation no matter the situation I dont care . I should of never happen.Freddie P.

Alena, Cynthia, and the gang are AMAZING! This location is close to my house and they make every effort to accommodate me. The service is fast. One time there was even a dead battery in the vehicle I reserved and they immediately got me into another vehicle so I could complete my tasks I had planned. When the truck I rented broke down and was towed to the Uhaul location. Then moved the next day so it was out of the way. The truck was left unlocked with my possession inside. This lead to allow the start of the breaking to occur.Debra H. | Overall Experience
