When we went to pick up the truck at 8 when the shop opened, there was no one there. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come and start their shift. I never received a bill or invoice, but my credit card was charged so I don't even get a break down of the charges. Overall I'm pretty unsatisfied.krysta B.

Location is extremely congested. Couldn't take first unit assigned to me out of the spot without hitting two other trucks. Next unit assigned had less than 1/2 tank and would require me to guess fuel consumption and get first, or have to get gas twice. After unit pickup uhaul called to ask me to drop unit off 50 km from home drop off location. Overall I like using uhaul, but this specific pickup location is terrible. There was an extremely hard working black man at this location, but the other white guy sat in an office socially talking to someone for the entire time I was there. Would avoid this pickup location on future trips.KEVIN M.
I arrived at 1.00 for my 12.30 reservation to be told. O vans available that the van meant for me had a flat tire. Although the were 3 staff sat behind the desk basically doing nothing Why was I not notified of this before I arrived at 1.00 ? Really annoying I am meant to get a $50 on my credit card. The truck was dirty inside and out plus I paid more than what I was supposed to. This is just not acceptable and will never rent/book/reserve from this location ever again. Plus the location has no parking where you can leave your car while you using their truck, so you have to park on the street and walk back to the lot to pickup the truck. On top of that the mileage on the website was 100000 lower than the actual mileage on the truck which is really disturbing to know.Michael S.

There was no parking for you to pick up your truck. Our truck had low tire pressure. Receipts are not explained well. Were out of furniture pads that we had preordered. But this location was far better than the one we tried to get our truck from. Do NOT rent from the Pick N Go 3501 Center St NW Calgary. They had no trucks, store was a disorganized shady mess that mostly sold bongs. No one called to tell us they didn't have our truck. Got the run around this time with U haul.Richard H.
you can refund me for the cleaning fee as the truck had garbage in it when I picked it up (I have photos of someones sequin face mask and paperwork that was left behind) There was no signage to find the building or directions to the office, and no obvious/adequate signage to find the key drop at the end of the night. It is an active construction site, and walking around trying to find an entrance was frustrating and unsafe. Same thing waking over loose plywood to go in the dark to a side door to drop the key was unsafe too. I have called in several times and have had no answer, both last night and today, and I am not impressed. Waiting on hold for 40 mins is not okay - or it just repeating the uhaul greeting without business hours or a 24 hour line to call is also ridiculous, what if I had an emergency? I also lost an hour of the two hours I had movers booked for because of the booking issues with pick up - this rental was a bad experience all around, and I will not use uhaul again unless you are going to make things right. I am also happy to post about my terrible experience on social media and in reviews unless you deal with the customer service issues promptly. Thank you.Paula D.

The vehicle I took had an issue whilst pressing the Gas padel, it didn't take speed and after passing 40 mph it switched the gear automatically, I told my friend to drive it and he experienced the same problem. Kindly check out your vehicle before renting it out. ThanksRavtej S.

If a customer has requested 8am pickup at one location- If you (the store)change the pickup location please keep the 8am the was originally requested especially if Nobody had even requested that vehicle the entire day. Don't go changing it up to a 12:30pm pickup. That's just rude. Moving is hard enough.Shaunna S.

My pick up was for 6am . Uhaul gave me a password to access my key at this location and it was incorrect , called customer service multiple times to get this fixed , no help ! They asked me to try a different code and still incorrect . I had to wait till 8am outside in the freezing cold on Friday October 29th first snow fall in Calgary and finally the person that worked there came to open my lock and when i had asked her what was the password i was completely ignored ! And i went to go check the vehicle , it was less than 1/2 full and i checked to see if my equipment was in the back , NOTHiNG now i had to wait extra to try my stuff and no help to put it in the back . My driver door was not shutting properly , it kept opening and the alert on the truck kept popping up and you could feel the cold air . Just overall Horrible experience .Gabriela A.

This is the worst place were I've had been. First of all, they give me the key and I had to walk around the building through the bush to get the truck. The truck was block with a retal crane and I could not take it out; I had to go back around the building to get someone at the office. She could not move the crane out of the way so she helped me to go back and forward several times. Secondly, the ly gave the truck with less the 1/4 of fuel tank ( the person who assisted me told me the gas was stool from the trucks and she said that if I return the truck with more than 1/4 of tank the will reimburse me the money) I had to go a fueled the truck right away after leaving the office. I spent more than 1 hour and a half to be on my way. Finally, when I returned the truck I did the app express return and The truck has more the 1/2 of fuel. The express return was great bu the way. Bit it showed me that I had $15 balance that I had to pay. There was a option that I selected if I was not agree with the balance. I made a comment explaining that I was returning the truck with more gas than it was given to me and that the staff member told me some money will be return. The next day someone called me from haul telling me â€œI read your comment, in order to get the reimbursed for the gas. You need to summit the receipts within 24 hoursâ€ Really finding a receive in the middle of a moving in 24 hours. It is a joke! I don't recommend anyone to go there, I spent over 240$ on gas but it should've been less. None of the staff member told me to keep the receipts and after I still paid 15$ extra plus a late fee of 30$ because I totally forgot I had that balance.Gerardo S.
Truck was fine (great in fact) but the location is terrible, especially for a novice driver like myself. The parking lot is designed in a one-way oval with truck parking on the outer perimeter. The trucks are angled parked. The big issue for me was they blocked full one-way with trucks and construction vehicles which made getting out of the location a nightmare. The owner needs to seriously think about the customer experience at this location. That being, the truck was clean and comfortable.Steve M.
Overall experience with u-haul was horrible. Originally booked a one-way trip from Kensington to Airdrie. Two days before pick-up locations for pick-up and drop off changed to both be at the Deerfoot location. Took multiple calls with u-haul just to get some additional mileage to cover the extra distance now required. Day of pick-up took four different trucks just to find one that would work, two were completely dead and third had check engine light on. Ridiculous that keys for those trucks were even given out. Over an hour of time on moving day wasted. Upon return of the fourth truck (the one that actually worked) I was billed for an in-town trip with a charge for all mileage. Employee at the Deerfoot location was absolutely no help to resolve this. Had to escalate to the location manager who was extremely friendly and helpful. Ultimately the mileage charge got resolved satisfactorily. Not too sure I will use u-haul again after this experience.Ryan L.

That thing give me very hard time ..almost increased my work 3 hours and make it extra hard job. We got a U-Haul for our move because it was raining hard all day and we wanted to keep our belongings dry. The U-Haul we recieved had holes on the roof where it leaked onto our furniture, making it wet, including our sofa and mattress which we are still drying out. We would like to be reimbursed for all of the cost of the U-Haul as we are not satisfied with our rental today. We have file an official complaint and will be waiting to here from you.Renee G.
Charged for an extra dolly. Girl was rude when I returned the truck, tried to charge me for an extra day and blankets that I never used. The gas was 3/4 full when I got it and was told to return it 3/4 full, wasn't informed that the gage was broken so when I went to fuel up didn't realize it wasn't working and ended up filling the tank completely and was told I couldn't get the 1/4 tank returned or taken off the price. This location needs more staff working, especially at the end of the month. I waited 1.5 hours to receive my Uhaul, and many customers in front of me were sent to different locations after waiting for an hour in line. I rented a dolly with the rental truck, and the dolly was not in the truck as the representative said it would be, so we waited additional time to find a dolly to use. Upon receiving my receipt, I noticed I was charged for 2 dollys when I only rented 1. I have sent an email in hopes that this can be rectified ASAP.Carlena B.

Central location ..I would advice customers that they could park on the street despite no parking signs as there is no parking in the lot. Friendly and able staff. I would recommend this location for renting your next uhaul vechicle.Andrew F.

I get that this location is under construction but that doesn't excuse the lack of signage. There was nowhere saying where to park and no sign saying where the office was. When dropping off the truck the guy there was incredibly unhelpful and in some ways rude. When I came to drop off the truck I handed him the paperwork, said I'm dropping off, and I'm not sure what else I need to do. He then looked at the paperwork and typed on his computer for five minutes before asking me what "I wanted". :/Matthew S.

My First time to use U-Box gave me my very painful memory. I drove my car with a trailer to Calgary on August 25. I reserved U-Box a day ago but just before I left, I received a phone call from U-Haul, a stuff told me that U-Box would close on 3pm. It was impossible for me to arrive Calgary before 3pm, so I wanted to go next day. After a while, I received another phone call from U-Haul, this time she said they would close on 6pm and I must go to U-Haul today before 5pm, otherwise my reservation would be canceled. It confused me. Later, I met the stuff because she tried to explain the reason why she told me wrong time, but she did not feel sorry. What a big mess inside U-Haul. If I am boss, I can not work with this stuff. A stuff told where was my U-Box. I found it was 200 meters from entrance. It was so hard for me to move whole trailer items to there. I asked them if they can move closer to my car? He said no. My whole family include my one and half year daughter and seven years son worked very hard to finish the job. On September 13, I picked up items from U-Box, this time I met very good U-Haul stuff she told me that they can move my U-Box beside my car, it made me so easy. Later, I searched in web, I found that they should move box to my car in every time. In here, I want to ask them, why you did not provide the service on my first time? Did you feel well to see my family moved boxes over two hundred meters? If you can work in U-Haul, U-haul must be garbage.Lei W.
The location did not have the moving dolly I requested in the reservation a week prior and they said it wasn't mentioned in the reservation even tho I took a screen shot to confirm. No point in arguing as they didn't have dollies in stock either way. The truck was not cleaned inside from previous renter as there were old gloves and old gas receipt and rental agreement in plain site on the dashboard. Tells you how much they value the health and safety during COVID-19. Overall not a great experience. Felt I was there as a nuisance rather than a paying customer, no biggie will just use competition in the future.Denis Z.

Only problem (and it is a big one) is that I requested to book at another location. I was not informed that my booking was changed to this location; Because I had to go to this location instead, I lost about an hour and a half, which created time and scheduling problems throughout the day (missing a lot of my elevator booking at the end point).
