Reserved a truck at this location 3 weeks ahead with some movers from the U-Haul. Just one hour before movers arrive, I went to pick up the truck and was told that no truck is available!!! Imagine it is the end of month, I have to move out of storage unit and my apartment and paid for the movers in advance. I had to go through a lot of stress, make a lot of calls to be able to find another truck in another corner of city and reschedule the movers to get the job done. Booked 8am but i got tge truck 9:30am.. i was given above level gas but when receive the gas was empty. Got back to them says will fix the record. When i return the truck filled to 1/4 but no full refund of gas received. Bad experience. Not organized. Poor customer service. Connected with them but still nothing was done to correct. The facility is understaffed, the access hours are still the same as working hours and more importantly, the only access door to the storage units is very narrow and small. There is no assigned parking spot in front of store for loading and unloading your stuff so you might need to park your truck in an odd spot further to the access door. Lots of staff turn around, making most of them unfamiliar with the job. I would not rent storage here again, as there are fully developed facilities with better prices.Alireza R. | Overall Experience

I spent an hour the night before, creating an account signing up for the truck with some truck share something.. there was no-one in the lot, went inside stood in a long line, got to the counter, attendant ignored the reservation number I showed her and started a new reservation (commission?) had to produce ID and credit card again. I tole her that my card wouldn't work, Her response is "oh of course it will don't worry" Immediately my card was declined, to which the attendant said, "it was declined sir, what would you like to do?" At which point I mentioned to this person to look at the reservation on my phone and lets get started on the short check-in process. The card I used was my wife's, as I am moving, currently my credit card is a little too full. My wife was not with me. so I am unable to produce the card. at this time, I was checked in using the traditional method of photos of my drivers licence with their personal cell phones ??! PIPA comes to mind. I might want to send them a letter. I was finally given a key, they pointed to the tv surveillence screen on the wall and said your truck is over there. I went out there from one end of the lot to the other, I matched the key number to NO truck on that lot. I went back inside, waited my turn AGAIN, I tell them there is no truck with this number in your lot. They laughed and said "are you looking at the licence plate?" I said NO I was looking at the unit ID's in the top right corner of every truck in the U-Hual FLEET. They took me out there, I walked about half way and then sat down, watched them walk all over the lot to finally come back to me and said "there is no truck here" I said I Know! They said " I will go and find someone else to look, they took the keys and went to the other side of the building to look. I waited. They came back, they said "There's no truck" I said "I know" They said go get him another truck. I waited. They came back and gave me the keys, pointed and said your truck is over there" I felt dejavu. I went over to the truck, the other attendant came with, and said, can you back it out? I said I guess so. They left. So I started the truck, did a walk around noted a lock on the truck. I have never seen a lock on a U-Haul truck before. I went back inside AGIAN. I waited AGAIN I finally said "Hey what about the lock on the back?" they said "Oh? that is the other key on the ring" and laughed like she was looking at a fool. I thought "it would have been much more efficient if there was someone who worked in the lot and y'know get the trucks ready?" Then I thought "Hey what the heck was the point of spend an hour-and a half creating the account and signing up for what I thought would be a fairly quick transaction of business. I was WRONG. So in summary, the app fails if there is no staff trained and using this new process. (there were signs on the wall advertising this feature) but alas the entire time from beginning to end was almost 50 minutes. I had budgeted 15 minutes and added doubled it, just because, yet I still had people WAITING FOR ME to begin loading the truck. So not only did your truckshare fail for me, you insulted me with the idea that it would. You promoted your software with the concept that all the checkin process was completed and I wouldn't have to wait. That's why you pay the premium for air travel right? I believed the advertising that had said fast and easy check in process. It WAS NOT. I thought express check out, was more truck waiting in the lot, greeted by lot attendant or other representative with the signage and is able to start the quick and easy check in process. they enter the number, walk around inspect, and on my way. I THOUGHT. I was wrong. So maybe more staff, and better training? Perhaps some team-lead coaching sessions would help. A seminar. So I give the location one star. I did not see an option of less. So the 50 minutes of my time wasted, its really not cool, but that these employees are using their personal cell phones to take pictures of peoples ID. I get really concerned at who has my sensitive information without proper consent and adherence to PIPA. I welcome your call.Dale W.

I don't know if anything was â€œmaintainedâ€ in the sense that employees take care of things since you make your customers do all the work. Who do you think you are? I spent something like 45 mins trying to return the truck and if this is what you make your customers do you better have your frickin website working. It's outrageous that I am supposed to take photos for you that other customers are apparently supposed to rely on, is any of your actual employees ever looking at things or are you just checking the photos we take for you?! This is an absolutely unacceptable process and no, when you advertise a price I am not expecting to do your job or be upcharged, this is not what I am ever gonna do again and if I have to buy a truck to avoid dealing with you ever again. Also the pickup of the truck was slow and cumbersome, your employees move like under water and I had to repeat all the information I entered beforehand on you friggin website based on your suggestion this would save time. It saved me nothing and I had to do everything twice. Seriously, what an abysmal service, go away and never enter many life again.Veith B.

The staff at this location were fantastic to deal with. They worked hard to find a unit that would fit both our needs and budget. They took the time to help a first time storage unit renter figure out how to best utilize the space in the unit which allowed us to stay on budget. The units are clean, dollies available to assist moving items and supplies were in stock and reasonably priced right there saving us time and money. I would recommend this location for storage needs as well as all supplies. I have rented moving vehicles from uhaul in the past and we will again. Having our items that we move at the same location we can rent vehicles is extremely convenient and cost effective.CFAR S. | First Impressions

My experience is rated based on the lady that was at the counter on Saturday evening June 11, her demeanor was awful, she was on her cell phone for most of the time and it made feel that I was too much of an inconvenient for her. This has been one of the poorest client experience I've ever had. This led me to comeback on Sunday morning to request cancellation of the rental unit. On the other hand the lady that was there Sunday was the total opposite, she was friendly and even acknowledge my concerns ( it seems she was aware of her peer behavior). The whole experience was a DISASTER! The communication between your departments is beyond bad. Right from the beginning whereby one of my containers was lost because the previous user of that container their contract had never been closed. The container was eventually found and â€œsupposedlyâ€ attached to my account. I was told at the time that my container was eventually found that I needed to book 7-10 days in advance of when I wanted the containers delivered. I called 20 DAYS in advance to book a time for my three containers to be delivered only to be told that it requires close to a month in order to secure a delivery date. When I explained that I already had secured movers and a time slot, paid for a security individual to be posted at the door of my condo as well as paying a damage deposit for my move in (as per condo rules) the only suggestion from UHaul as to how to remedy the situation that I was now having to work within because of their screw ups was to rent a truck from them (quite the money making scheme you've got going) . I had no alternative but to rent the truck. I phoned 5 days in advance to secure a day that my containers needed to be ready for and was guaranteed that all three containers would be ready and available. I phoned the day before just to make certain again that the three containers would be ready and available. Move in day happened, my movers got up to the facility at the agreed upon time and were told that there was no record in the system for the TWO containers to be made availableâ€¦ they didn't even have evidence of my third container!!! The third container was still listed to the previous user contract! There had been three phone calls to the UHaul facility and each time I was assured the containers were all there and the problem had been rectified. Then to top off everything even if there had only been two containers there was no record in the UHaul system to have them ready! This was after two phones that week alone and each time guaranteed the containers would be ready and available . I know nothing will get done about this complaint. It will fall on deaf ears, but for what it's worth I will be telling anyone why they should never do business with UHaul!Eleanor B.

I would NOT recommend the staff nor the location to friends and family for their uhaul experience. The experience we had in Airdrie was night and day compared to the horrendous experience we had with the personnel at this location. They didn't have our reservation and we're NOT going above and beyond in any measure to support us at all. The GM specifically was so rude and had so much attitudeâ€¦ she mentioned because she was sending us to another location she â€œdidn't even have to if I don't want to,â€ provide us with the $50 reservation guaranteeâ€¦ how rude!Christian P.

The manager at this location has 0 customer service skills. She makes things up and then blames the customer for her lies or says her staff is new and that they can't be trusted to give proper information. The truck we rented had clearly been driven into a wall and hadn't been fixed. The check engine light was on as well and yet they continue to rent out broken equipmentDevlynn L.

Overall the truck renting experience was very frustrating. I wanted to pick it up at a location within walking distance of my home. The day after I did the booking online I got a call saying the trucks there were one way and I would receive a call two days before to confirm if it was possible. I received a call directing me to another location with pick up at 9:00am. Then the next day a text saying that location doesn't open until 11:00am. So I asked if I could pick up a smaller truck any where at 8 or 9am, finally I was given an option that worked out. Like I said, very frustrating experience.Della P.
The woman who served me when I arrived had problems processing my rental despite me giving her my reservation number and all details about my vehicle, etc. She was obviously too inexperienced and she was only processing a basic open trailer rental. Reserved a moving van from 10:00am -4:00pm, arrived 10 minutes before pickup and waited in line for 1 1/2 hours before getting the vehicle. The uhaul app actually sent me a text as I arrived at the house that I was moving from to remind me the rental was due back at 4:00pm!! Pretty cheeky since it was 1 1/2 hours late getting to me! Staff was lethargic and did not seem too have any urgency, lots of strolling around... even at drop off (I was early) with with no one else in line it took 30 minutes to get checked back in! Absolutely terrible customer service, I have used uhaul in the past from other locations and service was always prompt and attentive. DO NOT recommend this location unless you're desparate!Jeff B.

Pickup truck was dirty inside, food scraps and wrappers on the floor and in door pockets, and the interior had obviously not been sanitized between rentals (COVID precautions). When returning the truck the attendant tried to tell me that it left with 15/16 tank of gas and tried to bill me for returning it with 1/4 tank as specified in the rental agreement. When I confronted him, he said that his record indicated an almost full tank when I picked it up, and asked If I had a picture of the gauge showing 1/4 tank. I refused to pay an additional charge because U-Haul's policy is to have vehicles returned with 1/4 tank, so it was 1/4 when I picked it up. I drove under 60km, and there's no way that would have used almost 3/4 of a tank in an F-150. The whole outlet seemed understaffed and disorganized. I will not rent from that centre again.Joel A.

This was the worst Uhaul experience from start to finish. Showed up at opening on Sunday to a line up outside of the centre because staff was 15 minutes late. Waited for 45 minutes to get my truck, which I reserved 1.5 weeks before. Luckily there was one truck left but the staff told me had there not been a truck, I would have had to go somewhere else despite my reservation. Ummm? A staff hit a customer's car in the car park and apparently tried to walk away without taking accountability, and then was complaining about the customer whose car they hit to a customer... the parking lot was a disaster and took me another 15 minutes to get out of. The mirror on the righthand side wasn't movable so turning into the right lane was like wishing on a prayer that no one was in that lane. I returned the truck after close as indicated on my reservation and the website would not work, so I had to go into the centre a few days later as I hadn't received a refund from my deposit which I was owed. When I went into the centre, it took 40 minutes to receive a refund because their terminals kept freezing. Honestly the whole thing was a chaotic mess. They need to figure their shit out. I imagine working there is stressful AF because of the ridiculous organization of this location.Chelsey H.

My pick up location was changed from Calgary to Cochrane which became very inconvenient. I cancelled that and rebooked a different pick up location for the same trailer in Calgary. Why wasn't this what happened? It makes no sense to me and having to call in and the agent hung up on me when she was transferring the call but then never called me back. This location was a disaster except one employee Tasha and along senior gentleman with longer hair. Many of the employees are juniors and could not care less. When I arrived there was line up of people ahead of me waiting. The gentlemen ahead of me had 15 ft vehicle reserved but when he got to the counter the employee simply told him that there was no vehicle available for him, even though he had a reservation, because the previous renter had not returned the vehicle. Instead of trying to problem solve the employee simply said there was nothing he could do. The gentle continued to ask more questions such as, is there another size vehicle we can rent or can we go to another location? The employee simply responded no, and did not provide any customer service and try to problem solve. Eventually, Tasha a more senior employee and another senior employee (gentleman) stepped in and made some calls and eventually arranged a 26 downtown truck for the gentleman. When it was my turn to be served I was told there was no vehicle available even though I had a reservation. Eventually Tasha arranged a vehicle for me from their overflow parking, but I had to wait at UHaul for 1 hour. When I eventually got the vehicle, the location did not have any of the equipment I had requested on my online order (2 dollys). While I was waiting I witnessed several other people be told that there was no vehicle available to them although they had a reservation. It was actually quite uncomfortable to even witness the lack of customer service and empathy employees showed to customer. Many customers were renting a truck because it was end of month and needed to move out of their apartments or houses. To be told on the day of there is no vehicle available to you is very stressful and frustrating. Other general comments, staff were on their phones while serving customers and also laughing and joking with each other while in the process of telling customers that there were no vehicles available. Really I feel for the employees for a few reasons, 1) they probably aren't trained in customer service and 2) Uhaul booking service is absolute garbage and it leaves the employees in very awkward situations having to deliver bad news to customers. I understand that the employees do not make the bookings so it isn't their fault but they could show better customer service. Once I returned the vehicle I had some issues with the fuel credit but Tasha saved the day again. Tasha and another senior employee did seem to actually care about their jobs and were professional and great customer service. Those 2 employees I would give 5 stars to if I could. I hope I am getting the name correct but it is a female employee with dark reddish hair, I believe her name was Tasha.Jeremy B.

Honestly I was overall very pleased. My one very strong suggestion would be to change the policy about returning the vehicle with one quarter gas left. What an utter silly policy. You're essentially always passing on the inconvenience to the next customer. I would suggest you be like pretty much every other company involving rentals and return it with a full tank of gas. Easy to gauge, dummy proof, and your next client / customer will always be satisfied and not inconvened as they can just get rolling.Brad T.

Negative star rating only due to the fact that it is a new facility, and the staff are still in training. That said there was no manager present and so the staff had to call for help several times to get the rental done. We were told that due to limited space available we weren't able to get the first month free promotion, however when we were taken to our unit they are almost all empty and not rented. We wanted 24 hour access and were told it's not possible because the key cards aren't working?? Overall not really impressed but needed the locker so went ahead with the rental.Emily C. | First Impressions
