The wait was so long to pick up the truck and drop off we were in line for a good 45 mins and there wasn't many people before us about 5 people.Terria H.
Employee was ignorant. Unclear in instruction. Another employee was nicer but they never checked my unit in even though it was returned early. I was then hit with a three day late fee and had to take time out of my busy schedule to call for a refund! Next time I will haul it somewhere else! Not worth the stress!Thomas L.

I love this location because they always have everything I need. The location and the staff were great it is the actual truck i was given to drive on this occasion. It just felt really unsafe to drive, there were no working dash lights or headlights period!!! The truck had a pull/jerking to it when you let off the breaks. I was so happy to return it and be done it was a horrible experience.Frances S.

Person at counter lied to us about availability of a truck we reserved online and was trying to send us to another location. He was telling us calling to customer service won't do any good and advised against it. We called in to find out there is availability and he just didn't want to give it to us. The whole experience went well, a small issue in the experience was the storage unit. It wasn't a big deal but, There wasn't a lock in the unit as it should have been. When I called down to the desk and asked about the lock, they said I can come down to get it. Personally, and on a professional level, since the lock was supposed to be in the unit I think one of the 4 people that were at the desk could have brought the lock up to the unit. Again it's not a big issue but it would have been a courtesy and professional way to handle it.robbin M.
The elevators are too small to move furniture in. I was told the unit I was renting would be able to hold a couple of love seats and dressers. This was not true there's no way I could have have gotten another love seat or dresser in there. The van I rented was unfortunately the worst uHaul rental I have ever had. To begin with, it was given to me with only 1/8 tank of gas and the cab was dirty with trash in the cupholders and under the seat. The bed was even worse. I found cigarette butts and fast food trash along with other trash, the smell was awful. Shortly after leaving with the van, I found out the rear left indicator was broken and did not work. To make matters worse, once it began raining I found out the wipers were in such bad condition that visibility became dangerously poor. After many uHaul rentals, I am disappointed to say that next time I will be looking for a different company.Robert R.

First i originally rented a van. Mobile check-in didn't work after multiple attempts. Went inside was told needed a credit card for a van because they are leased. I was not informed when booked online. So ended up with a truck that the engine light came on. I called customer service line they told me to take it back. I get back to the shop they told me it was fine and they wrote me a note sid if it broke down i would not be responsible. My time was limited so i took the truck and prayed the whole time i used it.Mildred C.

Everytime I rent from U-Haul, a hold is placed on my card for the rental costs (based on my estimated mileage). Then when I return the vehicle, I'm charged the full cost of the rental (based on the actual mileage) as a separate transaction, leaving the original hold in place. It takes a week for the original authorization to expire on my account, only then releasing the hold. You should be cancelling that original authorization WHEN I RETURN THE VEHICLE, not a week after I've returned it.Justin L.

One of the problems I had was more my fault than anything. I did not realize I ordered an upper unit. The website should explain what an upper locker is better. Which is a unit on top of another unit. It made it kinda hard to store one item of my in it so I had to leave it behind. The other issue I had was to use my unit. I have to use a rolling steps. Which is fine but the steps are horrible and does not want to roll easily. I had to literally drag it to my unit due to the wheels don't work. Other then that it was greatSamantha K. | Online Move In

The late fees are out of control, 3 days after payment is due the charge you a late fee of $15 and after that they keep charging more and more. U-Haul has decided to discriminate against those without a credit card. I've rented the cargo vans many times in the past with my Visa debit card, but this time, while I had no problem reserving the van online, I was told after arriving to pickup the van that my debit card wasn't good enough for renting a van. So my only option now is the box trucks that are too large for my needs (and which do not allow for the extended rental/miles discount available with the cargo vans). I won't be renting from U-Haul in the future.Justin L.

Perfectly satisfactory experience. Pick up was quick and the truck and blankets were clean. One small thing is that I called to ask if the store had packing paper, and someone told me no only bubble wrap, but when I was there to pick up the truck there was packing paper. The information location person had was incorrect. The elevator was not functioning. The ladder they have would not lock and it was very scary to climb up on that as it kept moving. It was not very easy to bring the stuff down from different floors. The front desk asked to come another day as manager was not there at the facility. I spoke to multiple people regarding my storage unit who were all really helpful during the booking process but on arrival, Allison Wallace , the manager from the Clark Ave site was simply AMAZING . She made my whole move in to the storage unit so seamless. Took the extra effort to walk us down to the unit to show us around and gave me another unit that was not as far to walk to when she realized there was another one open without me even asking . She gave me her personal number to call her if I needed anything and got me refunded an amount that I was incorrectly billed by one of the other workers in just a few hrs.
