I made my reservation with an actual agent. We agreed that I could pick up the vehicle at noon that day. When I arrived the vehicle was not ready for me even though I was the only customer in sight. The worst part about the entire situation was that one of the employees had somehow managed to take the keys home with her. I reviewed this move already on Google site - I am not happy about being forced into 1) to pick up a 15ft truck at a site some 14 miles from the chosen site (near airport & my storage unit to be moved out of) then to drive the truck across several southern States, or 2) forced to accept a larger truck I don't want or need. 3) And I was not told this until the day prior to picking up the truck, & 4) This was not the first time that U-Haul pulled this stunt! But the last time I was just doing a local move, not an 8 hour long distance move! Very unprofessional. And this pick up location did not fill up the gas tank (I have proof - a receipt of paying for 30 gallons of gas down the road after pickup). I was not given much instruction after picking up the keys either.Michael V.

I do business with the UHaul location at 7200 Chapman Hywy. in Knoxville, TN on a regular basis. They are always competent, helpful, and efficient. They always have the equipment I need and are technically competent for hitch installations or repairs. They were able to diagnose and find wiring harness shorts then fix them at a very reasonable price. I recommend this UHaul location.Ronald T.

Very, very difficult to schedule. Web site needs serious improvement to make it clearer to use. When I finally got a person on the phone they immediately transferred me to someone else. A person a moving help finally helped me. She cancelled my incorrect order and made a new one. But my mover told me the order still wasn't right. reserved on line and when I arrived the cargo van reserved was not available. The agent call u-haul dispatch and found a cargo van at a location 4 miles away and transferred the reservation there. When I arrived there they did not have a Cargo van. I went back to the original location and had to take a 10 foot truck which was large then what I wanted. A lot or extra travel and time wasted on my part. The rental agent was very helpful and polite.WILLIAM L.

Couldn't find adresss listed as my drop off. Drive around forever. Called and said as sent to drop op further out. Drove even more. Had to put more gas in vehicle. Finally found feb 2nd location and they were rude about dropping off there and not the other. Almost sent me back to try and find it. I have serious complaints about the service in Oregon. Was charged a month's rent for 4 containers that I was under contract to pick up on December 27. The location was closed and I was not given an opportunity to pick up my things until January 10th. When I arrived that morning, I was told they could not locate my UBoxes. Waited 2 hours and they were finally found at another warehouse. I am very, very disappointed and feel I am owed credits.JANINE G.

I feel I was totally overcharged, the truck was driven a total of 12 miles. 6 to my home and 6 back. I was charged 3 gallons of gas for 12 miles. Also there was a hand truck in the zip ties in the truck that I did not request. There was a sign on it that the charge for using it was 7.00 local, it did not say per day on the sign. The truck stayed parked for 6 days, I was charged 7.00 per day for that hand truck had I known I wouldn't have used it. I feel completely ripped off. Will never use uhaul again.WILLIAM T.

It was very disappointing to see a change in the rate for the truck I rented from when I reserved it online ($69 base rate) to when I picked it up ($127 base rate). I drove 100 miles to pick up the truck and did not have many options, so I took it. The person at the counter tried to explain why the rate had changed but he basically did not know and said "that's what the computer said". I will definitely consider other companies before renting with UHAUL again.Raymond I.

I arrived just before closing time on Monday, August 16, 2021. The girl who was working at this location had already locked the door BEFORE 7pm, so she closed EARLY and was basically hiding in the back waiting for me to leave. She waited until I started walking back to my car, then she trotted to her car, got in and drove off. I had to wait until the next morning to unload my trailer - and as it turned out it RAINED ALL DAY on Tuesday, so my son and I got completely soaked while unloading the trailer. If the girl who worked the night before had kept the location open until the ACTUAL closing time, we could have unloaded in beautiful, dry weather. Once we unloaded the trailer on August 17, 2021 I went inside and told the guy who was working that we were dropping off the trailer. He told me where to park and unhook it, then came over once we'd unhooked it and he looked in the back end to confirm that the furniture pads were inside. He had other trucks to get moved, so he said he would close out my rental and send me an email. He did NOT do that, and Uhaul tried to charge my credit card for additional days because they showed that I didn't return the trailer until August 20, 2021. So because this location happens to have lazy, unorganized employees who apparently don't care how poorly they perform their jobs, your records show that I had the trailer through August 20th when I actually dropped it off EARLY. Actually everything was the worst. By the time I arrived at the storage facility I was beside myself. After almost not getting a truck that I had reserved over a month ago it was never assigned to me. They found me one. But unbeknownst to me this one did not fulfill the original requirement for a free rental of one month. I had a melt down on the rental folks. They finally worked something out with me. Probably not something they can control but our unit had mice. The were dripping in most boxes even though we had not stored food. The man who checked in my wife for the storage unit was extremely rude. He was cursing in front of her about a situation with a co worker. Then during the middle of their conversation started texting, who we assume was his boss and said he was going to give her a piece of his mind. I chose this facility because I assumed it being u haul that it would be up to date and nice. But, the unit has duct tape on the insulated ceiling and water stains on the ground. We have used UHaul storage service numerous times before but unfortunately our storage experience at this location has been the worst. We only stored our belongings in the two units for a little over two months and were horrified when a large amount of rat feces, nuts, almond, flakes, hard candy and chewed up fabric were found on the outside and the inside of many of our boxes and some bags on our move-out day (We did NOT store any food items in our boxes). It's clear that the rat poison (the black box) placed inside one fo the two units did not deter their activities too much. Having said that, I am almost certain that the nuts, almond flakes and hard candy were from other storage units as some other customers might have stored these prohibited items. It has been a tremendously stressful process to go through each box and to clean up all the rat waste and chewed up debris before placing them into our new home. Perhaps this experience has taught us that the risk of rat activities is rather high in drive-up units. Lesson learned and hopefully we will plan better accordingly next time.Jonathan K. | Overall Experience
