The back wasn't clean there was glass on the floor. It was hard to start the engine and the transmission was horrible. Absolutely not maintained. Won't recommend this location

unit didn't have a lock inside even though advertised. manager resolved instantly as it was during business hours. access to unit was impossible during the first day, even with calling 1800gouhaul. Issue resolved the next day. Every time I pull up at the loading bays I have to find someone to open them - a minor inconvenience that would be easily solved if said doors were somehow connected to pad outside or if staff were constantly aware of it. I think for the high price compared to other facilities, the experience should be flawless. Probably will stay my 4 weeks and move.
This location has been here for years. I know I can rely on it. Rates are fair too. Very clean facility. Very friendly and helpful staff.
contracts are ambiguous resulting in surprise extra expences.

I thought the team at the Century Ave location was excellent. They were friendly, informative and had me hooked up to go quickly.
Ratchet system very rusty. Ball lock on dolly did not hold so trailer tipped up on to safety chains when taking car off dolly. If my helper was standing over the tongue..... Dolly in Dryden Ontario needs work.
Have clean well maintained vehicles. The truck we received had to be boosted two separate times and we lost hours of time waiting for assistance. There was no communication between Roadside Assistance and the dealer we rented it from because they had no idea the truck had problems when we were finally able to return it after the second boost.
The person who helped me was super friendly and made me feel important. Thanks guys and keep it up.
Dave went above and beyond. I got the trailer home to Winnipeg but my truck which the trailer was attached was not working due to the cold. He told me he would drop over to my house and pick up the trailer at no cost. Now that is excellent service. Pls ensure a special thank-you goes to Dave and his team, that type of support is outstanding.
Please check the tires on the truck we had. They were VERY slippery. Almost felt like I was driving with summer tires on. Tires spun at every intersection not matter how lightly I tried to tap tap for traction, anytime we had to make a left I needed to adjust to give additional time because I knew it would take a few seconds to actually get the truck moving. We almost spun out trying to reach proper traffic matching speed on an entry ramp to the perimeter. I'm sure this didn't help with our mileage reading either. A 200/km reading seemed quite high when the distance to our destination was only about 60km each way. This is my only complaint. Otherwise, the vehicle was clean and the controls inside were very straight forward. The staff at the location were GREAT! I was overall very happy with my experience and I will be contacting you again when I need a larger vehicle for some help moving larger items. Maybe I will stick to summer time though. Thank you.
Do not rent a vehicle in the winter. No winters were on vehicle, no heated seats. Took a very long time for cab to defrost. Truck on outside was filthy. Couldn't tell what a scratch was because of all the mud. Would never recommend and never use again.
Rental booked had low tire pressure> required to walk a fair distance to retrieve another rental. Service folk unfriendly, had to scrap ice off of van while they watched.
Great products but your staff seriously lacks customer service skills. I was asked, "what do you want?" Instead of a greeting or friendly how many we help you. I was told "don't follow me!" When the staff individual went to inspect the vehicle but wasn't given any information as to what was happening. It took three attempts for my payment to go through and when I asked if there was a problem was told to "Just try it again!" When I was ready to leave, the staff walked me to the door in complete silence and did not say bye, take care, thank you for using U-haul-nothing except for locking the door behind me. Felt like my business meant nothing to the two staff members. This is the third time I have been treated this way. The morning staff member was nicer and interacted with me and that is why I would recommend this company again; in hopes they will get the staff member.

I rented the small 10 ft cube , it would have been nice to have some kind of ramp system for easier loading, but it got the job done

When I picked up the truck, I made the mistake of not looking inside the cargo area - when I started loading, I realized that the 2-wheel dolly had no zip tie on it and the furniture blanket package was open and there was only 1 blanket. Since I would not be needing this equipment I had to call to make sure that I wouldn't be charged for the use of them. On pickup, the agent just told me to do a walk-around and take pictures of any damage prior to leaving, but I wasn't advised to check the equipment in the cargo area. I think that agents need to ensure that those items are properly checked and secured when the truck is returned, and customers should be advised to check it before leaving the lot. Otherwise, the staff was very helpful and efficient.
Very good rental experience. The only detail I would mention is that the vehicle gas was said to be full when I picked it up but was slightly less then full. I wound up putting in quite a bit more gas than I actually consumed by about $10.
I needed a pickup truck to move some furniture. The truck was perfect for what i needed and mechanically sound. But the bed of the truck was full of ice and snow and i had to ask if it could be cleaned so the fellow did shovel some of it out for me. Some was frozen in and there was still debris in it from what had been hauled the last time it was used....shavings, straw, dirt, whatever it was. It would be nice if the bed of the truck was washed out before customers pick it up. The staff here were very kind and helpful, just disappointed in not having a clean truck bed to use, we were moving nice furnture and had to do a thorough cleaning of it before we started. It would be nice to get some of our money back for that.

The first vehicle I was given the check engine light was on. Was swapped to another vehicle which was done quickly and I appreciated it. But we couldn't do a condition check and I took pictures just in case as there was a chip in the windshield and crack on the drivers mirror
this u-haul location has the friendliest faces, people and environment. They always do a great job to attend to everyone that walks in the door. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism.

Fuel economy was horrible on the 20 ft cube box truck, went 21 miles put in $35.00 of fuel. Also would suggest you start all rentals with a full tank and then have the truck returned with a full tank. Trying to gas it up to a full gauge line is not easy or accurate .
Very Professional and easy to deal with. Facilities were amazing. Clean and Secure. I did want to know if there would be any credit given for moving out 10 days early. Thank you.
Battery died, road side assistance difficult to use, ended up boosting truck using own vehicle and had to keeping truck running all day. Driver side mirror could not be adjusted for driver.
The personnel were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process from hooking up to disconnecting, thank you to everyone involved and wish you all a healthy and happy new year
Friendly & quick service. Clean & well maintained location. My only complaint - I booked a 15' truck in person, about a week in advance. When I showed up the next week to pick up it up, they could not find my booking in system, and no 15' trucks available.
Only drawback was mice droppings.

3 different employees gave me 3 different rates. The manager quoted me 35 dollars over what the posted weekly Rate. She didn't even know what the rate was. Low tire sensor came on an hour after I picked it up. I will not being using this company again. And I will be sure to tell everyone I know the same. Very poor.

The steering in the truck was not the greatest.
The equipment Lower left rear tail light was burned out, not maintained properly. Annoyed because UHaul CSR checked lights while i stepped on brakes & turned signalsb
The truck was very dirty inside and out. As well no ice scraper, I asked for one as the windshield was iced over was told to let vehicle idle for 20 minutes to defrost the windshield. Not impressed as I am paying for the gas. Staff not very helpful.
Provide a window ice scraper in the vehicle.
Rental agent was rude. Fuel was incorrect on vehicle, instead of adjusting processed a different vehicle and fuel was wrong again. Ias told to take photos and upload them, I requested the agent make the correction and the agent became orate and said I was being abusive.

Leaving my household items in storage at Uhaul on Century was a worry free experience. I was confident that everything would be fine and it was. I am so happy I chose your facility. I will highly recommend it to anyone that asks me .
Outstanding service from the moment I walked in the day to the time I dropped off the trailer.
When I came in originally there was a mix up and I was told I would recieve 10% off my rental unit for like six months to correct the error I spoke with a manager and I received the 10% for a month or two and that was it. I really don't care about the money (since I just paid it till I didn't need the unit anymore) but I do care about the principal if your company and staff offer a customer something and don't follow threw with it then it makes your company look untrustworthy and I would never recommend u haul to anyone because if that.
In the last year the security system was often down and the rates were going up regularly. Until recently, calls were redirected to the call centre where messages were passed along to the store. I rarely got a call back and subsequently had to call back several times. Time of day didn't seems to matter.

Not sure, I was extremely impressed and satisfied with all aspects of service and costs. If other customers are treated as I was, they stop should be fully satisfied.
better trained knowledgeable staff; be able to call and talk the people on site and not rude pushy call centre in USA; call backs when messaged sent for call back as unable to reach local location; lines too busy (not enough staff); did not go thru inspection or check gas or KM with me prior; overall very disappointing compare to past very good services
Im not very happy getting charged a full day when i returned the rental when it was just a couple hours late. I chose not agree with the rental price online and it said someone would call me back in 48 hrs to discuss . No returned my call and i was just charge for the full day. Had i have known I technically had the rental for another full day I would have kept it as I could have really used it!
1. Hire employees that greet costumers with respect. 2. That know what they are doing 3. Cut the attitude out 4. Listen to the customer

Make sure all employees follow covid safety precautions. Had to ask the employee helping with my return to first wear a mask (he was inside), and then to wear it fully when we were outside (he had it under his nose). Other staff were very helpful in other aspects of this transaction.
Online checkout couldn't be completed. App said my phones location not turned on but it was. Result was $25 service charge.

I was given an appliance dolly instead of a utility dolly. I was refunded the difference in the end but made for a bit more of a difficult move. I also think your website should be updated with what is available for trucks as after reserving one online it was disappointing to hear that the bigger trucks weren't available.
Paid 100$ for a 20$ rental. All your excess fees are really starting to bother me

One male employee wasn't wearing their mask correctly and wouldn't sit behind the privacy screens. The location clearly had some Covid procedures in place, but this employee seemed to disregard. The female employee that helped check back in the vehicle was very kind and quickly wrapped up the transaction. Prices were reasonable and equipment was well maintained.
I was help by two chaps, both excellent. Garry helped me get on the road, his service was great, friendly and efficient. Dal was the one I had when I returned the trailer, also efficient and friendly. This was much appreciated when I was returning after a long drive. Thank you for your good service. I had checked out rates at other UHauls locations and was disappointed with them not answering their phone to lousy service. I will definitely recommend this location.

Staff were friendly- but not helpful. See above - might want to change to two questions instead of one. Long wait times in store to pay for monthly storage. It never fails that someone is renting a truck or a locker whenever I am there to pay. Some wait times over 20 minutes. They have a “payment only” sales desk but there is never any staff there to work that desk. No pro-rating of monthly pre-paid rent. For example, I paid Sept.14 by pre-authorized payment for rent valid until October 14, 2020 but we moved out on September 26, 2020.I was told that 2 weeks rent will not be reimbursed. Asked employee at counter and he replied no money back. Why not? The storage locker is empty and available to be rented again effective the morning of Sept. 26, so why can you not refund the pre-paid rent? You have my credit card number, so please refund. Also upon move out, I asked for a receipt to show the pre-authorization of payments will stop. He could not provide me with anything like that. He said it’s all in the computer and they will stop because you moved out. He then provided me with a piece of paper from the computer saying Moved Out and a zero balance due. Unable to set up debit card for monthly payments at the onset of the rental term was an inconvenience. Please note: I did not have any problems with the staff. They were always polite. The problems are relating to administration and store policies. Just wanted to clarify that. Thanks.

Firstly yes no answers aren’t really the way to go with these kind of things, if you click no you need to be able to explain. So a text box should come up right after it, after selecting No right below. No’s on (where I needed a survey answer other than no) - Access time, relates to Office time, as these are the only times the big doors can be open, and then just a regular sized door is available. I think we should be able to park inside and close the big door, off hours. This probably could have saved me a bit of money, by coming to pick up a few items at a time with my vehicle. No, but Yes for Staff Helpful/Friendly, YES on “friendly,” NO on the “helpful” on one of the 5 occasions I went to my storage, this last time renting a 15’ uhaul truck. I indicated to the staff member, who was new I guess, that I was literally going 1.1km (2.2km round trip), and asked if I really needed make the extra stop for fuel. While he kept saying that I would have to, I asked the folks who spoke better english and common sense prevailed and indicated no you don’t need to bother filling it up. Round trip was ~2.2km (1.36mi), from/to Uhaul 461 Century St to/from 232 King Edward St. Not sure how you could add that to the training had to speak to the other employees. The other issue, is that for this large facility, you only had the single bar push roller the other day...and I had larger items In my storage that would have been better on the mattress roller (has 3 bars, 2 shorter on the sides, and one larger one in the middle, where the mattress would rest against), where the bars are parallel to the rolling direction, you really should have a few of those there. I broke an expensive window, by using the single barred push roller, so ya...thanks alot. Grrr. Spend $200+ a month on storage, and initially the 3 bar roller was available, though 1 bar roller when moving out, and it caused damage to my property. Big glass windows, well, they are expensive. You need those 3 bar rollers back, you should have 2 available.

I found the management at the century store disorganized in terms of their knowledge of policies regarding storage unit prices and customer support with discrepancies that arose with my storage unit contract (in the first year on my rental contract, I wasn’t told that the price was increased and because of this issue I fell behind in payment resulting in a “red” lock being put on my storage unit and couldn’t access it). The manger wasn’t professional in terms of attitude when discussing this issue and other issues that came up. On the positive side, Reyjane (CSR century store) was amazing, great attitude, and always very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me.
This was a great storage facility and I would highly recommended this to others. The drive in capability is extremely convenient.

Outside water would come into my unit during the thaw and during heavy rain. Reported the issue to the front desk many times over two years. Manager never contacted me. Damage to the contents of my locker forced me to move to another storage facility.

The Century location has outstanding staff. They are beyond helpful. The only thing that would make things more convenient is if the regular storage hours were extended by an hour or two on weekdays.
I had 2 issues while I rented this locker. First, there was a leak of their hot water tank and it went into my locker. The staff helped me move everything out, but to get another locker the same size, I had to go way to the back and there was no lighting in the hallway outside the new locker. I was partially reimbursed for the items I lost.

The front office staff were exceptional but Adrianna, put unreasonable pressure on us because she did not want a PODS container (w/our belongings)to be unloaded on U-haul property. Absolutely stupid.

Great service. Excellent place to store belongings. Would have liked hours to be extended on weekends, but other wise highly recommended.
In my storage was a mouse trap and in the 11 years I was there no one asked to come in and check the trap or change it. I did find a mouse in a box I unpacked. Unit was great over the 11 years.

My 10x10 locker was rented out from under me on the day I had it reserved for. This after, 15 day prior my 26 foot truck was also rented out as well. Terrible would use a lower rating if I could

I would not go anywhere else EVER. My need for a storage locker was a rush and I had no idea what size of a locker I would even need. They took all the stress out of moving my stuff.

I am very disappointed with Uhaul. I called ahead and booked my moved out date and time. However, on my arrival, my u-box was buried in the back and it took uhaul an hour to make my ubox accessible.

Not only did I have to set up my storage unit myself when I moved in.. When I came in to put my credit card in auto pay they couldn’t even do that, causing late fees and missed payments 4 m in a row..
A first rate storage facility!
Be prepared to WAIT for service, WAIT for info, WAIT to pay, WAIT for you unit, WAIT to check out. WAIT at least 1/2 hr for each of the above for a total of about 21/2 hours.

The spot over my locker 1102 did not have any lighting as other areas. I sent numerous emails asking if there was a military discount as I was asked to show my military ID on initial visit. No answer.

I was never called to book my ubox delivery and after I called them i got the run around. I never got sent a receipt for the shipping and after i asked for it i was told there wasnt one. Do better!!
