Van was left with a beverage can rolling around in the back. It smelled like greasy fast food. And there were 2 cracks in the windshield that I couldn't see until morning. Also the attendant didn't know how the mobile check in worked. I am glad I went early and didn't do it. The set Check boxes aren't well displayed or well lit especially at night.

Front desk clerk at location wasn't very enthusiastic. Gave me the key to a vehicle that was parked nose-to-nose with two other vehicles. It took me a couple of minutes to maneuver out.

Arrived at the store around my pickup Time and no one was in the store for about 5 minutes. Walked around outside and didn't see anyone. Went back inside before going outside again and seeing the employee in the back parking lot. I was able to get her attention and she was not happy to walk back in to wait on me. We completed the checkout and she informed me the truck didn't have the moving blankets so stop up front on my way out. As I pulled the truck up front she opened the garage door, dumped them in the parking lot and went back inside without saying or doing anything. I have used uhaul many times and would probably use them again in the future but the customer service was really bad compared to my previous times. I felt that I was a real inconvenience to the employee for trying to rent equipment. For reference I had rented a trailer at another Grand Rapids location the week before and it was a good experience.

Originally this was not the place we reserved the trailer, but upon arrival at the reserved location they said they had no trailers so we went to next closest location. Employee transferred the sale to this location and finished the transaction. She was amazing, courteous, and actually cared about her customer. THANK YOU!!

Only had one person at the counter with a long line. The locking mechanism on the truck for both the passenger and driver side was broken.

The cab of the truck smelled like cigarette smoke which wasn't nice. The mobile check-in process takes a significant amount of time as well. Maybe warn people about how long it will actually take so they aren't blind sided.

Two things: 1) there is a crack in the windshield - lower right corner, driver's side - it is not apparent in the front pictures of the vehicle so I did not see it until I pulled off the lot. I called to let the counter person know; however, you should fix the windshield or at least make sure the next renter knows about it first. 2) the drivers side sunscreen “holder” is broken - this is trivial but wanted to let you know.

The check in person was nowhere to be found. There were multiple trucks in the check in line and the space was limited. The indoor staff was very nice and helpful, but the outdoor staff was not.

Not really anything to be done with the tight quarters on the busiest street in Grand Rapids. I'm not one to give out perfect scores unless it is exceptionally huge. I feel we need to leave room for this in our surveys. Both places got awesome scores. Realizing that I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not much to judge. Thank you for the nice New Ford with Cruise control What a delight to drive!

Improve you check out process. Employee was fine but the computer system had problems, so it took 30 min to check out a trailer. No other customers in store when I started. Disappointed.

The only issue with this store is the ease of getting into and out of the the area. Very tight on a very busy road. Other then that everyone was very friendly

Online check in/out was weird. No trucks in my size up front and nothing saying mine was in back. Once told, I had to go out back to verify it, then back up front to the key box, but the key code was blank. Had to go talk to the employee around the side cleaning out a returned truck to go in and get the key, then back to the truck in back. Very inefficient. Then had to request the reserved dolly. The truck itself was ok.

I appreciated the online check-in. It was easy to navigate and reduced my time in the store significantly. The staff was very helpful as they quickly went to the parking lot to connect the trailer. The trailer was well-maintained and did the job superbly. Well done, U-haul! Good work.

Don't understand why a simple rental for a 5x8 trailer takes 30 minutes...any ideas?... Also, the short, black girl who works there is flat out rude. Should never be allowed to act the way she does to customers. And did i mention everything takes WAAAY to long. I put u-haul...(this location) Right up there with the local secretary of state as far as wait times. I mean, 20 minutes to buy a cardboard box?... ridiculous

The Web site would not let me check the vehical in after hours... I'm sure you are working on that already. KaZya keeps this store running well even when there is a rush. She is very efficient at checking people in at the counter. Great service! Jeff knows what he is doing in the yard and seems to probably be very good at Tetris gaming also! Lots of shuffling of trucks and trailers and he never forgets a detail - like a dolly. Great service. Friendly! Thanks Jeff Carlson

The woman working in the morning seems very grumpy whenever I had to interact with her. I can't recall her ever speaking to me. I used the mobile app but had to walk 100 yards after finding the truck back to front counter to pick up the key. Waited 10 minutes as no one was in the store and could not be located. The man during the drop off phase was pleasant and helpful. In general I don't look forward to having to interact with employees at this location because they are rarely efficient or pleasant. I've decided to use another U Haul location for an upcoming rental even though it is significantly farther away. I tried to use the mobile app this time and it was confusing to say the least. I'm very tech savvy but there seemed to be a great deal of confusion at the location on if they were using the mobile pickup/dropoff feature or not.

Check in staff when I picked up the truck was quick and knowledgeable, and kind. I had to call and extend my contract twice and your staff made that very easy. Thanks!!! Your check out person was not very courteous, was receiving a small trailer from another customer and unhooked it and gave it a hard shove and it slammed onto the asphalt. I was trying to talk to him and he was on his cell phone.

I just want to convey that the drop off process was extremely confusing. I was under the impression that everything in the process would be contact free. The pickup process was, and that went very smoothly. When I returned the truck, the instructions online said to park the vehicle. It didn't say specifically where, just not in a place where it blocked other vehicles. I parked the truck next to it's other matching sizes. I began the online drop off process, when an angry employee knocked on the window and told me I was parked in the wrong spot and had to come back around to the equipment drop-off area. I did see this so-called 'equipment drop-off' area, but nowhere did it say 'vehicles'. I am sorry, but in my vocabulary, I don't consider a 26' truck to be 'equipment' on first thought. She treated me like I was an idiot, and continued to do so when I got to the correct spot. I asked her if I should continue the online drop off process because I was right in the middle of it. She said, 'no, don't do that, that is only for 'After-hours'. (No where in the online process did it say that.). She asked if I was all set, and I shrugged like "you tell me?" And then... she walked away. Seriously. Nobody came to assist me after that... So I left, and did my best to finish the drop off process online, BUT since I had left the truck, I couldn't take any pictures of the interior of the vehicle.

My only complaint is on the day I moved out of the lockers I was in line in the office/store area behind two other customers for 25 minutes. 20 minutes of which there was no staff at all there.
