The appliance dolly had seen better days about 20 yrs ago. The truck interior (center seat, drink holder and console) was sticky from spilled juice or soda. The answering service is NON EXISTENT. Terrible is being nice. I tried contacting them on 2 different days. The 1st day after about an hour and 3 attempts the person I finally spoke with was no help. The 2nd day was over 4 hours and countless attempts of entering my “call me back” information was text replied that “uhaul was unable to call me back”. After the reservation was made there is NO customer service. From this location or the answering service. U-Haul truly needs to improve the answering serving and it's customer service. I will look elsewhere for my next rental. The frustration is not the pickup location, rather the answering service and lack there of.

U-Haul utility trailers are awesome, they are always in great condition and clean. I recommend using them if you ever need to transport something. Service is also great and the pick up was convenient.

Having to complete additional information when I arrived at the uhaul location prior to letting me know we're to get the key. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes in the store to get the key only one person on the counter. By the time I received the key and pulled out 3:40pm yet I had to return it by 7pm should start at time they give out the key or have the key in lock box and avoid the counter. Also the photos look like they were taken when the truck was new and not been updated for along time. Inside was clean the exterior was dirty.

The fuel tank should be full (topped off) so that it is easier for a customer to know how much fuel they need to add before return. Also: vehicle should be clean, in and out. Finally, any known dings, dents or other issues should be properly noted on the contract before asking the customer to sign. Otherwise excellent.

Everyone at this location was very helpful and knowledgable. I didn't like the online reservation process. I had questions and ended up contacting the call center 3 times because you can't tell, up front, what info you will need for the whole process. Finally, a call center person finished my reservation for me but when I went to pick up they had entered the wrong vehicle info. Just seems like there must be a better way. Overall, was very happy with the rental.

Unfortunately I had to pay an extra fee to have them hook my trailer up. I then waited for 45 min before someone came out to help. I was told to back up to the trailer (gave me a lot location) but they still had the trailer hooked to another truck in the return area and I had to wait for that as well. The truck was fine except the cup holders were broken and unusable and the steering wheel had to be turned slightly to the left to go straight.

I needed a 6 foot wide trailer with a ramp. I rented the 6 foot wide by 12 foot long trailer to haul my golf cart. The trailer is 6 foot wide but the ramp is les than 5 foot wide. I was not able to use the trailer to haul my golf cart because it would not fit on the ramp. I had to go to a competitor and rent from them because they had something that I could use to haul. I paid uhaul - even though I never used the trailer - and paid the competitor as well. Renting from uhaul is convenient - but the equipment is not exactly s advertised. I told the person at the counter - thinking I would get a break on the 2 day rental - but all I got was - oh I'm sorry about that. In the end - uhaul treated me poorly and I don't think I will rent there again nor recommend to any friend. Dan rizzo

When I pulled The truck into the specified location for drop off I was a bit confused on what to do next. No one came out. When I hit the intercom no one answered. I went inside and the woman at the counter just said, “give me your key”. It wasn't a bad experience, probably average.

While a busy day (many customers) - and apparently short-staffed at times - the two employees I'd worked with did an absolute tremendous job. Upon returning the trailer this afternoon especially, the staff member who assisted me provided stellar customer service. While I wish I knew her name, she went out of her way to greet me, offer assistance, etc. She was an absolutely excellent representative of and ambassador for the U-Haul corporation. Well done!

If a customer checks on online, GIVE THEM THE KEYS WITHOUT WAITING ANOTHER 20 minutes. Have the employees at the counter acknowledge the customers. Treated poorly by the lady I spoke with and ignored my questions.

The only issue I had was this: The engine light was on and the tire maintenance light was on. After spending a large amount of time already, I had taken a pic of the dash lights and brought it back in to the store to show the counter person. She then explained why they were on and exclaimed that they know about the lights. Well...if yall know about the lights and why they're on, why wasn't I told at the start when I received the key? If Uhaul knows about indicator light and why they're on, I think that should be disclosed at the signing of the paperwork to save the customes time and anxiety.

Pre-purchased supplies to accommodate rental truck were not provided in advance. After getting in truck and realizing they weren't in it, had to walk around building (no place to park truck up front, difficult set up) and ask for them at which point the worker came around the corner to remove them from the shelf and hand them to me. Was now running behind so didn't finish my pre-trip; discovered during trip that Driver's side blinker and brake light were not functioning.

For the truck itself the entire process was poor. I couldn't get the truck after hours so they directed me half an hour away to Allendale. I was promised a $50 refund which I haven't gotten and a mileage waiver which I didn't get as well. Would not recommend for anyone.

Team there was not at all cooperative, they refused to Provide rental truck inspite of having it, mentioning its not available. We said its showing available online still they refused outright. We needed to book it online and than show them the reservation and than they had no option to provide it. Inspite of our online reservation till 11 PM, they asked us to return by 8PM before the location closes (which was weird), however we were in tight spot as our stuff was present in the storage at that location which needed to be moved. Behavior of the staff at that location was utmost non cooperative and would never recommend anyone to have the storage or rental at that location. Very very disappointed and i hope this is one off and not a behavior that UHaul promotes

I am an elderly woman. I don't feel well served with younger people tell me to open this app and it's really easy. I am not knowledgeable and become flustered. I used this same location for a truck rental and when I went to pick up my truck, it was blocked between 2 other trucks rather than being accessible. My reservation had been in place for several weeks. The location staff is less than helpful and seems to be inconvenienced by needing to assist customers. Many times, I have come into this location and had to wait for 10 minutes or more for an employee to come to the desk and assist. While I do understand that short-staffing is an ongoing issue recently, I have experienced this same type of treatment from this location on other occasions (prior to COVID) as well.

For starters, I moved on 10/26. There's no reason for charges to come out 1 week later (because someone didn't know how to do their job). Secondly, the lady with the shave head needs more training since she messed up my account and absolutely doesn't know what she was doing the 3 times I interacted with her. How do you change someone's name on their own account to someone else's name? Why did she tell me my storage was canceled, and I find out the next day that it never was, couldn't call to cancel it myself because she changed the name on the account without me asking or telling her to (so "legally" it wasn't my account), had to wait over 1 week for the manager to approve my online move out request that should've already been canceled like the lady said it was. I don't care to say much more outside of my entire experience being below poor. I would never use the uhaul on Eastbrook, and training should be a main priority for the new staff there and any prospective new staff! The staff was friendly but not helpful. My experience would've went with ease if they were helpful. Train the new hire(s)!

Kayla Hawley was super helpful. My only issue was that we were given, at first, a unit on the second floor but was not told on the website that this facility doesn't have an elevator. The facility we rented the u-haul from in Hastings Michigan did not have the equipment we requested and neglected to explain that here was an $100 refundable deposit.

To begin we were guaranteed a 20ft truck (the only size that would work for moving to a new state) at a specific location nearby. The day before pick-up we were contacted and told that truck size doesn't exist at the guaranteed location and we could drive to a further location for a 15 ft truck (way too small!) They should've delivered the truck to our location instead of making us drive 3 hours round trip, taking 3 hours out of a workday and losing us that part of a days paycheck and wasting our time and stress. Once we got the truck unloaded and headed to the storage unit we'd pre-registered and that was included free with our one way truck rental, the trouble and headaches kept coming. We were originally given a 10x5 at another facility, but when we got to the unit, it's actual measurements were 5x5, even the worker said that happens, that U-Haul's dimension of storage spaces don't always match the dimensions they advertise them as, he measured it for us for confirmation. We had to call customer service (plus 15 minutes of in hold time) to locate another facility with the size we needed because the store was unable to look it up or call them. We had no way of double-checking with the new facility whether they actually had the unit available in that size, and the worker at the one we were at wasn't able to for us (ridiculous they can't call another store locally to check!). We had to blindly drive to the new facility. Upon arrival, check-in was smoothish. The young man wasn't thorough and missed some things we had to correct for him. Then he sent us to our unit and forgot to come unlock our unit for us so we had to go remind them we were there 30 minutes later to which the guy said he'd forgotten we were there. He didn't warn us of the sticky trap on the floor of the unit or point it out at all so I accidentally stepped on it moving something into the unit and ruined the bottoms of good running shoes. All of this made us late for our rented truck drop off time, and lower on fuel for drop off than we were supposed to be, we wouldn't have been if this hadn't all been wrong. Not only was this a drain on finite fossil fuel resources, it was a waste if our time, adding an additional hour of driving around for U-Haul's mistake. This all also made us so late that we missed a ticketed event and were unable to get a refund. Very dissatisfied with the company and the customer service as a whole for wasting at least 5 hours of our time, energy, and emotions.

The upper level units with no access to any sort of elevator is something that should be communicated a little more clearly. Moving in and out of 307 was one of the most awful experiences of my life. I am disappointed I had to subject my family and friends who helped me move to such a terrible experience.

I will first say that Jeff Walker was excellent in displaying customer service and professionalism. Next the facility is not well maintained and especially the units with the door and hinge coming off the wall, exposure of the unit to the other units, the hallway, and exterior, along with the rodent issue which is evidenced by the rodent poison.

Communication was less than adequate. Cover put on wrong limiting access to UBox door. Boxes placed in area limiting garage access. Everything inside was safe though.

My only complaint is on the day I moved out of the lockers I was in line in the office/store area behind two other customers for 25 minutes. 20 minutes of which there was no staff at all there.
