Called on Friday about my return time. Was told truck needed to be returned by Sunday at 1pm. I returned the truck well before 1pm and was charged $75 for an extra day charge. The truck would have easily been returned Saturday night or before 9am which was in my contract had I not been told by Craig at this location I was good until 1pm Sunday. Staff there upon arrival barley speaks and just seemed to want people pushed through in and out with no communication just look at an app.Stephen B.

Problem began when I walked with agent to locate the truck. He asked a co worker where it was an we were at it. Keys were found in the truck and co worker said he had just used the truck. My agent simply walked away and I asked when do we inspect the truck and he said go to the link on text. I asked what text and he said the one that was sent to me. I looked and found it. Told him would not know it was there had I not inquired how to inspect the truck with him. Customers should be told to look for a link via text before they leave. I the had difficulty seeing the small print thus figuring out how to use the checkout format. The agent already walked away. I noticed mileage on the truck was two miles more than what was found on odometer and made note of correct mileage on the link. When I returned I had used 20 miles. Went inside to ask how to check out and simply told will receive a receipt. As I walked to my car I thought wait a minute. Someone needs to review the truck with me so I do not receive an incorrect charge for something. Found a guy and we went to the truck. Saw he charged me 22 miles. I told him correct mileage on odometer when I left and what the other worker said about he used the truck before I got it. Guy who checked me out said to bad, I should have gone inside before I left with the truck re the correct mileage. I said no one said to if I had a problem and when I indicted correct mileage on the link before I left assumed that is all I needed to do. I am not concerned about the extra 2 miles charge, I am concerned with the entire process and rude handling by your staff both when checking out and when checking in. Pathetic. Have the vehicle that the person reserved there and ready for pickup I've been trying to rent a pickup truck since 7:30 am on 5/7/ 22 it keeps getting canceled I'm furious and I've always done business with you guys @ this location.KEITH W.
I reserved and paid online. It took an hour and a half and two trips to get the trailer and blankets. For some reason the employee who took me to get the trailer decided the one the system selected was not road worthy for my trip, so he switched it to another trailer. He radioed up to the office to make the change and it took over 30 minutes for me to get the text with the new trailer number. I finally got on the road home and realized that I didn't get the blankets, so I returned. Upset with the process, I asked for the manager, Hyatt. She refused to helpe and told me the blankets were by the front door. I asked for the new receipt and another employee have it to me. I walked to the front of the store and found one bag of blankets. I asked if it contained the amount I ordered and the same employee told me it did not and he want to the back to get another bag for me. I will never use that U-Haul location again and will make sure my friends do not either. What should have been a quick and efficient process was made into a mess and compounded by an incompetent manager.Brian C.

Very tight area to pick up trailer among parked vehicles, building rows, trailers with my 8' bed truck. Took multiple maneuvering to get out of the lot with trailer. On return, unable to finish advertised 24x7 return at 7:20pmET because application would not allow me proceed past step #2. Tried multiple times. Disabled my pop up blocker, firewall, and VPN in case that was UHaul app issue. Contacted UHaul Customer Service, but received automated recording that my expected wait time was over 1 hour. Left and took trailer to my home ~15 miles. Returned in morning. Representative would not allow me to drop trailer at the RETURN kiosk and instead requires transport back into their congested lot at bottom of hill and wait for representive to direct me. Waited several minutes in the area before representative arrived and told me I was in the wrong spot and was supposed to be have gone to a different area of the congested lot. Representative directed me to the back of the lot into a dead end alley and then informed me to Jack knife the trailer 330degrees into a congested park slot barely wider than the trailer. When I expressed frustration to make the right Jack know park job, representative stated back to me â€œWell, you are pulling a trailer aren't you?â€ I got the trailer close to the slot but not in and disconnected. Very dissatisfied. (1) UHaul app would not allow me return after hours as advertised and (2) very unpleasant experience pick up and return. If I rent UHaul again, I would drive 100 miles to pick up a trailer from someone elseJon C.

First you changed my Pick Up truck to a Cargo van, without notice. When I said I don't need a Cargovan, you delayed my pick up time with 1.5 Hour, I had to re-plan my day as I could not get the pick up truck for my planned work. Then you overcharged my mileage with 10 miles. Your App for returning the vehicle is a bad App I filled in al the information and took all the pictures, it kicked me out twice from the app. You then had the nerve to charge me $ 20 dollar convenience fee, I understand that you will reimburse me for the Convenience fee, thank you. When I was picking up the box truck I had an issue, that for me, considering I use the 24/7 option quite often....this would have presented me with a problem that would have prevented me from being able to pick my truck up. The wrong key had been placed inside the lock box that I was instructed to open using the code given. The key was to another truck and the key I needed for the truck I was assigned was inside the store. So thankfully I had arrived later than expected to pick up and because I was late, the store was open. Travis and Jamal (I am probably not spelling the name right, apologies please) we're the 2 gentlemen working and we're super helpful with resolving the problem as well as being super attentive to my needs and concerns. I would recommend that whoever is responsible for putting the keys in their places for use of the 24/7 option be someone whom is detailed oriented and competent. This could have been a real problem had these guys not been there to help me.Jennifer C.

Unfriendly workers. Hard to walk into the lobby to get to the counter, too many objects in the way. My father had franchises of Penske and Ryder for over 30 years and he would never have been that cold to a customer. I didn't have to use Uhaul. Budget or Penske could have been a better option. The vehicle had 14000 miles and was in very poor condition. Ryder and Penske Would have never had that condition of a vehicle in their fleet.Michael H.

The guys from Friday evening I stopped at the location , they were courteous and nice , but the experience this morning was not good . They act lazy , don't want to move or help you much at all . My drop off was the same guy from Friday evening and he was courteous and professional . The truck was dirty and not well maintained . First, let me say thanks to Danielle Hall. She worked with me in May of 2020. By extending the time allowed to get here from Idaho Falls, Idaho. In the 6x12 tailor. 2nd, when I moved from the 10 x 10 to the 10 x 15 unit. She made the process easy. Then, when I went to work at U-haul at the Buford Drive & Mall of Georgia locations. Danielle was my boss and learning from her was easy and enjoyable. After I left the company but still had the storage unit. Danielle was still nice and friendly as expected. Danielle Hall is a huge asset to your company. While the facility is secure. More lights should be installed. Especially for those like myself. Who tend to work later in the night or early in the morning in the storage I do feel the access should be 24 hours to the storage. The storage was well maintained and I would recommend U-haul moving & storage to friends. 1. What was to be perceived as dead vermin (rodents) upon entering the main storage facility- not the unit itself. 2. Bait box top seemed to be off and not connected to the unit. 3. Rat poison was chewed up into literally really fine pieces along the back wall outside of the bait box. 4. Staff put a lock on my unit. This unit was paid up $450 through July 2022. Therefore, this was not a matter of non-payment; instead, I did not put a lock on my unit. Moreover, I understand the lock was put on for safety. However, staff did not give me a courtesy call resulting in me having to go buy a lock cutter to remove the lock. The cutters cost me $40.00 and my movers charged me over time in the amount of $100.00. 5. Storage facility is 20 +/- years old and needs a face lift to possibly a remodel. 6. Danielle-General Manager was great. Other staff over the phone was horrible and had poor verbal customer service skills to customer when they became uncomfortable. I am very dissatisfied with I-Haul at this location. I have had so much trouble! When I first got unit, we didn't even get a " map" to where the unit was located, we drove around all the traffic there , tried calling several times with no answer, then we had to go get one, which it took a Long time! Then I was Locked out of unit without a notice!!! Tried to charge me late charge seven I had asked to be it on direct withdrawals, but was not done! That's how good they listened. There was one lady and man that worked close to closing time which I felt that when I came in late they laughed in my face when I asked them to please move the truck from in front of my storage unit so I could unload and they didn't understand why I wouldn't carry my items an extra 20ft to get to my storage. Also I turned over possession of my storage unit 2 weeks before my bill was due and they wouldn't give me a pro rate or money back which is not fair considering I didn't use the storage unit for a full month. Also there were roaches in my storage unit on my belongings when I moved them out and I was highly upset. Needless to say I will not be using uhaul ever again. Withing 1 week got my unit got robbed lost more than 4,000$ from a person who was living in unit 0414 who aperanly doesn't supposed to be there with drugs the thieves are very profesional open the locks not very safely place as soon my situation happens they start doing rounds and security otherwise they would not doing it. The place was busy when we arrived, we were a little stressed ourselves, taking that into consideration the clerk who helped us, didn't have focus on us, when I asked how big the unit was instead of showing us, he gestured to the area and was texting on his phone. Then he finished our transaction, did not offer to show us where the unit was, so after searching in our own we tried calling, no one answered. So we had to drive back up to find the info on where it was located. Then we realized what he meant by inside (again wasn't explained) so again we drove back up to upgrade to a larger unit. At that time a young nice gentleman explained he did truck rentals and couldn't assist me but would get the other gentleman who was outside on his phone (again). After a few minutes passed, the two gentleman came in and the one on the phone was very agitated and using foul language to either the other guy or the phone couldn't tell. The nicer of the two kept apologizing and the phone guy continued his call while he sat down, very agitated.. I tried to diffuse and also let him know we too had a stressful day so he could maybe get back to servicing the guests? Again no visual on map, no explanation just upgrade and done. I would want to know if I was the owner or manager of this uhaul about the poor customer service. I would also not like to see the gentleman fired as he did do his job just poorly and maybe with training and no personal calls this could be fixed.Maria L. | First Impressions

I tried 3 different times and was not as to drive in because the roads throughout the property were blocked with your trucks every time..this was a complete waste of my money. I complained about a lizard being in my storage she told me just be lucky it wasn't a rat. I did not think that was professional. I moved out before my 30 days was up.
