There was a young girl sho was tall thin and short blond hair (sorry didn't catch her name because she wasn't wearing a name tag and was too busy yelling at me) who was incredibly rude! We drove up first thing in the morning and there was no where to park so we decided to stop so my husband could go in the store and check in and I would remain in the car. The girl first said you can't park here and I explained we weren't parking and that we were switching drivers l. We did so and I started to pull forward to move my car and that is when she came unhinged and started shouting at me about that I couldn't drive through there. It was shocking! What looked to be a manager came out and seemed to tell her something and I thanked her for being rude and the manager came over to say she didn't mean to be rude and she apologized. Well I'm here to say she meant to be rude and there was absolutely no reason to be!!!!! That girl needs to be retrained or put in another position where she doesn't have to work with people. I almost parked the car and told my husband to cancel the truck on the spot and that we would go down to Penske or Home Depot or Lowes and rent a truck as there are plenty of competitors. However, I decided against it but I will not rent from uhaul again!!DAN A.
This Uhaul put me in a different van from what was on the paper. I told one of the employees and they said to just take pictures. I later on got a call asking about it. Not sure what happened but they weren't organized.Benjamin C.

The impersonal service from U-Haul over the last two weeks of our move has made me never want to move again. The wools inside the U-Haul centers are fine but the fact that everything has to be done online through U-Haul is not pragmatic as it doesn't work. Uploading drivers licenses online. Trying to return a truck online. None of that actually works. If you want your customers ro utilize these services online then invest in the infrastructure to make them efficientDana P.

I reserved my truck, furniture dollies, and hand truck 3 weeks in advance. When I arrived to pick up my equipment I was told they did not have any furniture dollies, and the only ones available were the ones for sale. I told the sales associate that I had made these reservations 3 weeks prior, and that they needed to find some because I wasn't buying any. The associate found two, but stated they weren't U-Haul brand. They worked, but were falling apart even as we moved, and I was still charged full price for them. I don't know what kind of scam they are running, but I will never use this place again. Ryder may the best choice next time.Kristopher W.

Service in store was excellent, service picking up trailer sub par, attendant quickly drove to back parking lot, told me my electrical was bad, (he had bad dongle cable) then left me behind locked gate and I had to call up front so they could open gateROBERT M.
I did not like how they added 2 gallons of Gas to the trunk after I added two gallons of Gas and have the receipt making a total of 4 gallons of gas to drive the truck 22 miles. That is very dishonest and not professional. One more thing I was looking at my account and there are 2 or 3 other people tied to my account I have no idea who they are, I changed my password and deleted their email, up to yesterday I have only used Uhaul 1 time and there are 4 or 5 rentals tied to my account. I will close my account and never use U-Haul again. Soon as I see they don't pop up again. I am going to review my credit card statement and if I find the persons have been using my account, and credit card account I am calling the Law.Kenneth C.

One of the customer service men didn't wanted to help me park the truck on the drive way even after I requested help multiple time to him. He said that this wasn't his job and I was responsible for doing it. This was the person that helped me close the order. I will not recommend him to anyone. He needs better customer service training. The truck itself was fine. The service was horrible. The guy I first encountered told me, "you cant park here". He did not greet me, nor did he has how he could be of assistance. I was in the process of logging in online and attempting to rent my uhaul. The online service did not give me a lock box code. I asked the gm. She told me I need to use the online system. I used the chat. The chat sent me back to the lady in line. There were 3 attempts to get the lock box code before it was received wasting about an hour of my time. You can improve service by greeting your customers, asking how can you help, and not have contact with them 3 times prior to assisting them with the information that is readily in the system. Have them on their way so they can leave the store. This has been the worst rental experience from start to finish.Michelle M.
The air conditioning in the cab would go directly to the floor without changing anything. We found that REPEATED toggling of the fan switch off and then on would finally get it blowing out of the dash vents. Then, when I was 17 minutes later than my expected drop off, I was informed I would normally be charged an extra day rental fee. This is preposterous. If I was going to be charged an extra day's rental, I would've taken the truck back to my house and left uhaul without that vehicle for a day. $29.95 per day should be exactly that - PER DAY. You should certainly reset yourselves in what a "day" means, and not by the hours setforth in your terms. I am very disappointed with this.Michael B.

More staffing is needed. When we arrived we had to wait a half hour just to be let in the store. (We had a scheduled pick up appt). The poor lady who worked there was having to check people in, clean and sanitize and move vehicles with very little assistance. She had to lock up and move vehicles before she could do any more intake. She did everything she could but there is no way you can provide good service with such a staffing shortage.Lateefah D.

They deceive the custumer, they say that you can make by your self a pick up 24hr/7 is fake. They mislead the custumers. I was here on time to pick up my truck and while I was here the system told me to wait until 9am when the store opens. My reservation is number: 22654816 at 08:00 am. 05/29/2022. Carlos Parra. I think I would not recommend this service to any of my friends and acquaintances... and I will make sure that the same thing that you did to me does not happen to them. They are irresponsible. My store pick up was: U-Haul Moving & Storage at Buford Dr-Buford, GA. I am really disappointed in U Haul. If the system isn't work, they won't offer 24/7 self pick up. Many issues on rental. - truck not available at my location - they transfers rental to scuttled liocation but didn't immediately give me an additional day for having to pick it up early - rented dolly and blankets, but store put return location to a different place then where truck was being returnedAkeem H.

Andrea Barnett My daughter reserved a truck 2 weeks in advance, only to receive a call the day before stating that the location wouldn't have the truck but that she could pick up at a nearby location. The location didn't open until 9 but the agent set her up to do mobile check in so she could pick up the truck at 7:30am. We arrived to find that the truck wasn't returned. A call to customer service connected us to Andrea. Andrea explained that a rep extended the truck out overnight and failed to notify anyone. To make matters worse, there were no truck available within about a 50 mile radius! My daughter was in a very tight schedule, moving about 35 miles south and needing to load an apartment and storage unit and make it to her new location by noon. Andrea worked hard and searched for all options. It was looking bleak. She had already processed the $50 truck guarantee when she looked one more time and as luck would have it, a 20ft truck was returned about 12 miles away. Before I could even finish my request being that this was an extra 24 miles being put on the truck, Andrea was issuing a 50 mile credit on the rental. Talk about turning a bad situation all the way around. She literally saved the day. She remained professional while we were upset and panicked and was not only empathetic and sympathetic. She explained that she had worked for UHaul for 14 years and she loved her job. You could definitely tell. If I could've hugged her I would. Uhaul really has an asset in Andrea and I hope someone sees this review and gives her the recognition she deserves.MIKAELA K.

Called on Friday about my return time. Was told truck needed to be returned by Sunday at 1pm. I returned the truck well before 1pm and was charged $75 for an extra day charge. The truck would have easily been returned Saturday night or before 9am which was in my contract had I not been told by Craig at this location I was good until 1pm Sunday. Staff there upon arrival barley speaks and just seemed to want people pushed through in and out with no communication just look at an app.Stephen B.

First, let me say thanks to Danielle Hall. She worked with me in May of 2020. By extending the time allowed to get here from Idaho Falls, Idaho. In the 6x12 tailor. 2nd, when I moved from the 10 x 10 to the 10 x 15 unit. She made the process easy. Then, when I went to work at U-haul at the Buford Drive & Mall of Georgia locations. Danielle was my boss and learning from her was easy and enjoyable. After I left the company but still had the storage unit. Danielle was still nice and friendly as expected. Danielle Hall is a huge asset to your company. While the facility is secure. More lights should be installed. Especially for those like myself. Who tend to work later in the night or early in the morning in the storage I do feel the access should be 24 hours to the storage. The storage was well maintained and I would recommend U-haul moving & storage to friends. 1. What was to be perceived as dead vermin (rodents) upon entering the main storage facility- not the unit itself. 2. Bait box top seemed to be off and not connected to the unit. 3. Rat poison was chewed up into literally really fine pieces along the back wall outside of the bait box. 4. Staff put a lock on my unit. This unit was paid up $450 through July 2022. Therefore, this was not a matter of non-payment; instead, I did not put a lock on my unit. Moreover, I understand the lock was put on for safety. However, staff did not give me a courtesy call resulting in me having to go buy a lock cutter to remove the lock. The cutters cost me $40.00 and my movers charged me over time in the amount of $100.00. 5. Storage facility is 20 +/- years old and needs a face lift to possibly a remodel. 6. Danielle-General Manager was great. Other staff over the phone was horrible and had poor verbal customer service skills to customer when they became uncomfortable. I am very dissatisfied with I-Haul at this location. I have had so much trouble! When I first got unit, we didn't even get a " map" to where the unit was located, we drove around all the traffic there , tried calling several times with no answer, then we had to go get one, which it took a Long time! Then I was Locked out of unit without a notice!!! Tried to charge me late charge seven I had asked to be it on direct withdrawals, but was not done! That's how good they listened. There was one lady and man that worked close to closing time which I felt that when I came in late they laughed in my face when I asked them to please move the truck from in front of my storage unit so I could unload and they didn't understand why I wouldn't carry my items an extra 20ft to get to my storage. Also I turned over possession of my storage unit 2 weeks before my bill was due and they wouldn't give me a pro rate or money back which is not fair considering I didn't use the storage unit for a full month. Also there were roaches in my storage unit on my belongings when I moved them out and I was highly upset. Needless to say I will not be using uhaul ever again. Withing 1 week got my unit got robbed lost more than 4,000$ from a person who was living in unit 0414 who aperanly doesn't supposed to be there with drugs the thieves are very profesional open the locks not very safely place as soon my situation happens they start doing rounds and security otherwise they would not doing it. The place was busy when we arrived, we were a little stressed ourselves, taking that into consideration the clerk who helped us, didn't have focus on us, when I asked how big the unit was instead of showing us, he gestured to the area and was texting on his phone. Then he finished our transaction, did not offer to show us where the unit was, so after searching in our own we tried calling, no one answered. So we had to drive back up to find the info on where it was located. Then we realized what he meant by inside (again wasn't explained) so again we drove back up to upgrade to a larger unit. At that time a young nice gentleman explained he did truck rentals and couldn't assist me but would get the other gentleman who was outside on his phone (again). After a few minutes passed, the two gentleman came in and the one on the phone was very agitated and using foul language to either the other guy or the phone couldn't tell. The nicer of the two kept apologizing and the phone guy continued his call while he sat down, very agitated.. I tried to diffuse and also let him know we too had a stressful day so he could maybe get back to servicing the guests? Again no visual on map, no explanation just upgrade and done. I would want to know if I was the owner or manager of this uhaul about the poor customer service. I would also not like to see the gentleman fired as he did do his job just poorly and maybe with training and no personal calls this could be fixed.Maria L. | First Impressions
