The sliding door latch on 5 X 8 trailer gets caught on the lip at the top of the entry when door is rolled back. One must pull door inward to free latch to free it before door will roll back down. This is impossible when trailer is loaded. Someone will lose their fingers.Warren C.

Everything was fine except dropping off after hours. It took us 30 minutes to figure out the key drop box was not locked - you just had to push it extremely hard. It was VERY hard to open. Also - having to stand outside and take pictures was a pain. Also couldnt remember my uhaul.com password. The entire process took 45 minutesKari W.

This location is absolutely horrible. When I arrived there was no one around. I had to search for an employee. He then proceeded to ignore my questions during check in. When I arrived to the drop off location to turn in the vehicle I again had to hunt down an employee. I found two employees in the back room. They told me to wait for them at the counter. I was ignored for 10 minutes. This location acts as if my business is an inconvenience.Amanda P.

I had rat/ mice droppings in 95% of my boxes. Rats/ mice had chewed through my clothing and other items. I had to throw away so much stuff due to the rats/ mice destroying the items. Almost everything smelled like rat urine and this was a inside storage room. Several expensive items were stolen from my storage and the staff, manager, general manager nor the owner did anything! I called to reserve my Uhual... the rep advised me it would be $39.99. I specifically asked the rep if I could use cash, she stated yes, I could, however, neglected to advise me that in order to use cash I had to put down another $100 deposit just to be able to use cash. So when I got to Uhaul my price changed to &176 plus the additional $100 deposit to pay with cash. So my total for a Uhaul was $276. For 24hrs. I cancelled my reservation. I have used uhaul many times in the past, but not recently. I want to applaud the Airport Thruway location for finding me a truck even though it was at a different location ( box rd.) They set everything up, I just walked in and basically drove away with what I needed. Now, i am very unhappy with the pricing. I needed a truck for 4-5 hrs and approx 30-40 miles. Returning to location of pickup. Even though you advertise for $19.99, I knew it would be around $50. When I saw the receipt for over $120 I was blown away!! Charging .99cent for each mile on top of the rental fee is ridiculous. Just a note: I went to pickup a refrigerator, and upon loading noticed the packing blankets, which i was counting on, were empty. Also, I asked for straps and was told they were up to the customer to get. I'm not sure if you carry them or not in stock, if you do I was not directed towards them. So, again, I had to go buy straps somewhere else. I had to go buy blankets, which cost me even more. I ended up overfilling the gas tank by 1/8 and figured I'd get a credit, which i did not. I was told to be sure and check in online upon return, since it would be after hours. That made sense. So I returned the truck, made sure everything was locked up tight, dropped the keys, and got in my car....then I see I need to give not only precise mileage, but images as well of the mileage counter. I couldn't get back in the truck! So another $20 added to my bill. At the end of the day including everything i got charged, had to buy outside of uhaul, and gas, I am in almost $150 for a 5 hour rental and approx. 30- 40 miles. My dad used uhaul religiously throughout the 80's and 90's and I used uhaul many times in the early 2000's. After this fiasco and what I feel is an overcharge, I probably won't be using uhaul again. It's about the same cost for a delivery service and they do all the lifting and setup that I had to do in this case. Uhaul just isnt worth the money anymore. Good day.JOHN O.

When I brought the truck back there was 6 people in line and the guy checking trucks back in was taking time to air spray the back out of each truck before helping the next guess. And to my account not being closed out properly and on time after payment was made in person. To receiving harassing phone calls for incompetent staff. I arrived at 0955 and there was one employee working the desk. I was third in line and waited until 1020 to get helped getting my vehicle. After I signed I waited another 10 minutes for my vehicle to get pulled up to me. The fuel gage was lower than what was marked on my sheet however I did not want to take the time to correct it. I am irate. This office has messed up my reservations several times. Originally I rented a van and a U-Box at this location. When I went to pick up the van I was informed they lost my reservation for a U-Box, so I had to switch my U-Box reservation to a different location in town. I still rented the van and was told by the GM that I could leave it at the new location after loading my U-Box, and he would collect it later. I paid for the rental and left. When I finished loading my U-Box that same day, I left the van and keys with the GM at the new location, as I was told to do. She told me it was all taken care of. I had the van a total of five hours, and put no more than 10 miles on it. Since then, I was charged and refunded twice without any explanation and have just received a receipt saying I returned the van 10 days later (I had already left the state) and put over 500 miles on it (?!).Julia K.

I did the booking and pick up online. The online service told me to go in and show them my Phone screen To get the key. When I did, the lady said â€œthat doesn't help usâ€. She couldn't find my reservation, then when she did, it showed I had already checked out the vehicle. I told that's because I did it online and it told me to show the screen. You would think the attitude from her would have stopped once she realized her mistake. It didn't. She went out to the van but couldn't find the key. Left us in the rain to look for it and when we went in to see what was taking so long, she had moved on to another customer. Another worker came in and they still couldn't find the key. They ended up giving me a different van, after waiting over 30 minutes. The back had dirt everywhere but I just wanted to get my washer and dryer and be done so I ended cleaning someone else's mess. I'll use a different service next time because this had me about 2 seconds from losing my cool.Tamara A.
