The gate setup is very poorly positioned & gave me a headache every time i had to exit. Every time i arrived big trucks would be parked right by the exit gate keypad blocking your access making it difficult to get to the keypad from your car and leave. It would be nice to pull up to it on the right side of the road like the way traffic goes so your not trying to reposition your vehicle on the way in or out when others are also entering and exiting the property.Jennifer L. | Overall Experience

This process was so easy! We booked a reservation the day before - we didn't initially get the timeframe we desired because of the past minute reservation, but we only needed a truck for 2 hours, so it worked out fine. We had to reserve a 20' truck because we needed a ramp and it was easy to drive with no prior large vehicle driving experience. It is conveniently located next to a gas station so you can easily add a few gallons before returning the vehicle. I feel.99 is too much to charge per mile. The truck only gets 10 miles per gallon. That needs to be improved.brian H.
I was charged for 2 rental fees because I extended my time from 10hrs to 13hrs. When I originally picked it up and discussed this with the clerk, she said if I needed the truck longer, I wouldn't be charged anything additional unless I had the truck over 24hrs. It is very difficult to get a trailer to the loading/unloading door. Sharp turn and it is made more difficult by the U-Haul vehicles that are parked right where you need to turn. Please stop leaving them there.Vickie S. | Overall Experience
I honestly can't say enough about how helpful, kind and knowledgeable the staff are at not only Fort Walton Beach with April's service, but also at the Big Bend location!!! I can't say one bad thing about them! They go above and beyond to make moving a less stressful experience! I will for sure be telling my friends and family to always go with UHaul as it's the only way for me to know that everything is going to be done correctly! PLUS, the hours are amazing! Gas tank cap was broken. Could not open it to put gas in the truck. Truck had many many miles in it and definitely needed front wheel work. Hard to control on the road especially when it rained. Agent marked the fuel gauge as half. But is was 1/4.Al F.

All the trucks parked along the driveways are very inconvenient and potentially dangerous. Very hard to maneuver large trucks with trailers. The only reason facility access hours were convenient to me was because I paid for them to be that way. I am very happy to be done with this particular facility.William G. | Overall Experience

The amount of gas in vehicle was not the same they provided on the sheet. I returned with same amount that vehicle had and they tried to charge me for more gas. Why don't they just have them full and you return it full like a car rental. Very shady in my opinion.Krista W.

Waited for over 25 minutes to pick up the truck. There was only one employee taking care of customers and I was 5th in line. Also, the truck that I had was very unstable on the highway. Seems like there was front suspension parts that were worn out. I had to fight the steering wheel to keep the truck in my own lane.Steve G.

I got a text from U-Haul to drop off the truck at 12204 Old Big Band Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122 on 5/22/2022 at 10:22am. So when I was ready to return the truck this morning, 5/23/2022, I refueled the truck and drive 20 minutes to this location where it looks like a place for damaged cars. I was told by the staff of that location that their lot was full and they could not take anymore returns. He then told me to take the truck to 650 Big Ben Rd, Ballwin, MO 63021. My question was why didn't I receive an updated text from U-Haul to update me the new drop off location to start with. The running around cost me at least 1 hour of my time. The final drop off location was clean and the staff are professional.Matthew Y.

I came in after spending about 30 minutes on the uhaul website giving every conceivable piece of info to rent a truck. When I got to the store, the counterman had to re-enter everything again, that turned the process into another 15 minute wait. Website work was a waste of time. This outlet had a good selection of available vehicles compared to other stores. The check-in process demanded a 2nd phone as â€œcorporate policyâ€. I refused telling him this is for me, not my kids, not my mom for me and I don't have a 2nd phone. The counter person seemed upset about that. While he finished the ticket I ordered a pack of 20 boxes. He ran a separate charge and pulled some loose cartons off the top of the packs. He looked at me and I realized I was expected to pull the pack out. Did I mention I am 64? I struggled to pull the 20 pack out and the manager walked away leaving me to carry the bundle with the keys out the door and to the truck. He didn't even open the door. At 8:00 p.m., after my second load in a large truck (and a second storage unit) I was so beat both physically and mentally that I couldn't follow the online directions to check in after hours so I left the truck, dropped the key and was going to call them to close the rental...at 6:45 a.m., I got an email thanking me and a receipt for the rental! The bottom of the truck was dirty pretty much all the way around. It was apparent it had not been washed between the last rental and when I took it out. The inside was very clean. Someone had had been smoking inside the truck but the smell went away after a while. When trying to use the website to return the truck, the site was very slow and kept freezing. Rebooted my phone and it didn't help. Possibly a lot of traffic but I had to leave the truck and keys and send an email from home with a photo of the dashboard I was extremely frustrated but understand technical issues can arise with websites. My receipt was sent anyway but the return time was incorrect as I returned the vehicle last night at 8pm. Only had it for an hour and a half as I only traveled 7 miles round-trip to get some shelving from Lowes. Clerk was great and super friendly. He deserves a nice raise. Thank you. The UHaul on S. Bug Ben Rd in MO was outstanding in every way! The employees professional & helpful, very friendly and we felt they took very good care of us. The storage facility was amazing , we had both an interior smaller storage and a larger exterior storage to hold our household goods ( even our irreplaceable photos & negatives) between the two. We felt safe there after hours and at night when storing or removing items with the security system abs lighting set up! The male staff was friendly and helpful yet wasn't waiting on me the female staff seemed lost or anxious to rent me the highest unit even after I satiated I was in a financial bind hence me needing storage. Eventually I got a unit. Only to finish and find out I needed a lock. She didn't state or mention it. Worst part I was in a domestic situation on the lot, cameras are there. I booked online, and never actually had any contact with any employees at the facility, but the online checkin and checkout was very easy. The facility was very clean. My only complaint is the large road reflectors on the floor right inside the door to indicate where to park the carts. This makes it very hard to go in and out the doors with a loaded cart. Several times, a cart wheel hit a reflector and caused things to fall off the cart. A painted yellow line or tape on the floor would suffice and not cause any problems.Keneth C. | Overall Experience

Uhall's trailer/truck rental equals free storage unit is unbeatable, and I can't think of a complaint (though the online reservation process can be frustrating, the actual workers are great all around). Horrible customer service. The unit that I had reserved previously was not available I was given another unit that apparently was also not available but they had no awareness of that . The code that I was given did not work. And after finding out that the 2nd unit that I was supposedly going to get Was occupied I was told they had no other units available in that size. Even though I had gone in several weeks earlier asked for a specific size offered to put down a deposit and was told it was not necessary. I was not able to move into my unit (Thursday) because it still had the padlock on it. I didn't know that UHaul was locking units until people moved their stuff in. I had hired movers to help me move in. The access code did not work. It was after the store had closed. The only phone number I had was the store number. I had to call UHaul and was on hold for a VERY long time. I ended up spending over 2 hours and three minutes on the phone trying to deal with this matter. The next day I was able to call the general manager of the store. We worked out a resolution to put into action the next day. I rented online, for no contact and because I thought I might not be there before the office closed and I needed access to it. When I arrived at the unit after renting online, the unit had a lock on it....I had to walk all the way to the officer, make contact with someone and have them remove the lock. They removed the lock before I got back, and I looked around for the FREE LOCK which was supposed to be inside the unit....IT WAS NOT, making me walk all the way back to the office for the 2nd time. If you're going to advertise no contact move in, and move in completely online....then HAVE THE UNIT OPEN AND READY!! LUCKILY the office was open, if it was closed and I was unable to get into my unit, I would have been late to return my truck at the location on Manchester. These two inconveniences COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE, but it was still an inconvenience! Got my steps in for the day tho, so yay for that!Michael E. | Online Move In

This facility is very well managed. Always excellent customer service when needed. Rented a climate controlled unit and was very pleased. Super clean and always well stocked with moving carts. No issues. Rented for about 2 years. Staff was always very helpful and professional. My only suggestion would be to make the trash dumpster easily accessible. I could not access it so I had to transport any trash I had back to my apartment to put in my trash can. Since I was slowly sorting items on site, it made a lot of trips I had to take. There is a donation room on site that if you have Items like furniture or books, etc that you don't want you can leave them there. You are also free to take whatever anyone else has left. Did get some spare boxes from this room! No hesitation in recommending this location for storage units or to rent trucks/buy supplies. They are very fair and honest.Loy C. | Overall Experience

The team at this location was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and clear in explaining the process. They welcomed us to the area like neighbors.
