The gentleman who helped rent the van was combative when I asked a simple question. Maybe it was me.
Michael H.Two things: 1) Although the attendant at the counter who was processing my reservation was pleasant and professional, her counterpart, an older woman was not very accommodating when I asked to take the dollies initially and then come back for the truck because my moving location had a restriction as to when we unload items from the building. She basically refuted my request at first mention, didn't practice what I know is excellent customer service. Rules and guidelines in the world of customer service and accommodating the needs of the paying customer may require bending the hard and fast rules at times. My situation was a simple request and being met with such a harsh and immediate denial of request was disheartening to say the least. 2) I had reserved an Appliance Dolly as part of my reservation and they did NOT have one available other than an old rusty appliance dolly that didn't even resemble what I had reserved.
Steven E.U-Haul should be more up-front with pricing. The truck I drove had damage that a staff member asked about being my fault upon return. Trucks should be better maintained and repaired, particularly when damaged.

Julio R.Location drop off staff is severely understaffed. I arrived 5 minutes prior to closing and staff lied about being closed and refused me service. After asking for staff member's name, he proceeded to flick me off and tell me to leave. He then apologized and decided to take my trailer. Parking lot was unattended, dark, and I did not feel safe due to u-haul team member's behavior. I should not need to be harassed to return equipment. I will not be returning to this location.

I did reserve a dolly & furniture pads, the dolly's were all gone when I showed up which was upsetting. Since I reserved it after all. RICHARD H.Fast and efficient - I was in and out with my 4x8 trailer in less than 15 minutes. The last that helped me at the counter was not only very friendly, but also saved me a few $$ off my order. I was dreading this move, and this made the day a bit more bearable.
Blake H.I booked and paid for a storage unit. When I got to the facility, access to my building was denied. I went inside for help. The supervisor tried my password AND his, but both were declined. He basically told me sorry but nothings working. I can't open the building where your unit is. I told him I had to be out of my apt by midnight so he needs to get me a unit in a building that will open. He did & Said this unit costs $30more. For my trouble, I didn't think I should be charged more. He told me I wouldn't this month, but they'd probably charge me next month. He also told me that I'd be able to get back in this building without a key bc sliding door will open. So, when I returned an hour or 2 later(at 8pm) I was unable to get inside bc they were closed and doors didn't just open up. No key, no code, 4 hours until I'm supposed to be out of my apartment & ive got 2 more loads to get insude this storage and a van to return! Yet I'm completely locked out with absolutely no one around to help me out, not even the customer service line could help. I was charged that extra $30, without giving my permission uhaul just decided to charge My card on file. The worst part- I had to keep van extra and I wasn't able to be out of my apartment in time therefore I git charged extra for the van and for my apartment. Completely unexceptible! Very bad experience!!

Eugene M.I would recommend based on location only. The counter staff was not attentive at all when I arrived for pickup. There were five staff at the counter. Once I was assisted, the staff person was distracted and had her earbuds on at the same time as handling the transaction which impeded communication. Upon return of the cargo van, the staff person in the outside return area was very helpful and quickly took care of the transaction.

Jennifer O.Mobile check-in failed yet again. Mobile app can't cope with checkin at this location ever. Have to use mobile web site and still it fails 50% of the time with a timeout error. Finally was able to get approved for key, but had to go back to counter and wait for someone to help me. Had to jump in line to identify that I just needed the key and was ready to go. It's always a hassle picking up equipment at this location. Returning equipment is super fast and simple.

Wolf S.I was charged an extra day for being 15min late. They were closed and the app request me to download was asked ng for permissions that were out of the normal. I didn't feel comfortable so I dropped the keys in the box and went the next day to confirm it was received. The paper says if returned after hours there is a $20 charge. It says nothing about requirements to download an unsafe app on my phone to not receive any fees. I want a refund for the extra day.

Chandler R.Rented online for a dolly with a van, but when I get the van there's no dolly and staff say they don't have any. I think this location must only have 2-3 dollys. Renting the van without the dolly was kind of a shock, made moving by myself so much harder and not sure I could do it. So I'm not expecting equipment to be availalbe in the future if I rent online.
David L.My truck (2020 1500 Silverado was struck and damaged by a U=Haul employee. I submitted a report through one of your managers at the location when the incident took place. I have not heard from anyone at U-Haul for repairs to the damage the U=Haul employee caused to my vechicle

And safe need to wear name tags half of the staff members that do not have a name tags so the only way you can have if you have an issue is they describe the people what they're wearing what they look like is unprofessional to work at a job with no name tag . I got. The name from of the employee name Justin. But wouldn't give me the other employees name all I can do is give you a description of what she looks like. I truly feel U-Haul needs to hire better people with better customer service experience again my experience 12 1222 was bad very ugly !!!!!

He kept leaving for long periods of time and coming back to tell me it wasn't there. I finally found someone else to help me by walking back myself and it was the exact box I told them it was. The first guy said "oh I must have checked the wrong box". On another day I wasn't able to access my box at all because a worker parked a truck in front of it and took the keys and wouldn't be back to work until later.

I was told by the Owner at the Tacoma, WA UHaul that since I was given an UNSAFE trailer to rent when I went & picked it up 3 hours away in Yakima, WA & then had to drive to Graham, WA to pick up another trailer (& unload & reload what I had in the unsafe trailer by myself, that I would be given a $50 credit. I had already paid $184.11. I was rented a trailer with no brakes. Well, I never got this $50 credit & when I got to Austin, TX to drop off the trailer, I had to pay an additional $176.00. I am not happy about this at all. I am a travel RN & I'm thinking twice about using UHaul again for my additional assignments.

He did not answer any of my questions clearly. What happened to providing excellent or great customer service, or better yet, treating people as humans or even with a hint of compassion. Not to mention, he had the audacity to charge me for the one month of storage even after I told him that my truck rental came with a one month FREE storage unit rental as a promo that UHaul is having that I agreed to upon reserving the truck. He said he will not honor the promo because their location is already at 93% capacity and that he will only honor it if their location is in boy at 70% capacity. The one of the most ridiculous reasoning I've heard of! I want a refund for the month storage unit I was charged for!!!

I called back customer service the agent was great she booked me at the 304 Benwhite location the staff was great had no problem I use Uhaul whenever I have to and never had a problem, so I really will like to let the site manager at the 9001 I 35 location know about the young man who worked that evening shift on July 29th. Thanks to great customer service at the contact center and the site I ended up using..

Jessica was rude to me a few times when I was checking in, and she got me set up at the wrong storage unit. That wasted about an hour of my movers time that they could have spent unloading my truck. And the older lady was not very helpful, either. I went over there to check out, and it looked like she was busy. So I waited for her to finish. I couldn't help but notice it was taking awhile for her to wrap up what I thought she was doing on the computer. Turns out, she was dorking around on her cell phone and was completely oblivious to the fact that a customer was waiting on her. The location was okay, but the front desk staff are rude, aloof to customers and don't seem to know how to do their jobs right. Either re train them, or get new staff, please.

The alarm at the Ben White facility is deafening and incessant. Why can't this be disabled or another method of alert used? It is a problem for individuals with sound sensitivities. Treated like dirt in the office. Didn't expect to be treated like royalty in the office but still...a little courtesy/professionalism goes a long way.
Kimberly F. | Overall ExperienceFirst I can from Ohio they out the wrong hitch onto my truck then they messed up my whole reservation got here for charged for locks twice bcuz my original storage space they didn't honor so I ended up with two small storage spaces which all of my things didn't fit in them then I was told that all of my reservations were the same for here and the drop off was for another part of Texas nobody knows about then was told I had to pay $250 not bcuz if some mistake I made but from the original person who completed the the paperwork did what they wanted and told us it would be changed by the time we arrived but I wasn't. So in short the hitch wrecked my truck, my storage space wasn't what I was given and had to pay for two separate locks because of it, then the drop off and storage was in the same place but when we got here Ohio didn't correct the mistake and so now I have to pay for something that wasn't my fault and the clerks inside the store were very rude and acted as if we robbed them of fees when I paid what was told to me and nobody told me about another Dee once I arrived I doesn't say in my bill that I have a balance due. I'm very upset and when I can move into my new place no I will not recommend this service to anyone I'm so disappointed

There was a minor mishap with the online reservation for my storage unit but Caleb was AMAZING! He was really sensitive to my situation and was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. He really came through for me in this highly stressful situation. The facility was impeccably clean and carefully monitored, I felt very safe here. I recommend the services that this location provides, particularly the exemplary customer service. Thank you, Caleb!!

I explained we were taking items into our storage unit which was why I was parked up front by the door leading inside the building. He stated where I was parked was "their" parking and customers can't park there. When I asked where we should move he stated he didn't know but I can't stay where I'm at. Another vehicle pulled up and parked close to the entrance to begin unloading to which the employee told them "you can't park here". We both asked again where we should park and the employee began to get frustrated only stating "I don't know but not here". We were not blocking the flow of traffic for other customers or other employees to move trailers, cars , trucks etc. Overall I was rather shocked by the employee's statements and lack of help to know where we should park to unload.

The only saving grace was Mandi, as she was super helpful and understanding through the whole process. She deserves a pay raise and promotion. Uhaul as a whole was not helpful with the process of reviewing what happened to my unit, but that wasn't Mandi's fault. She was handcuffed by a horrible policy.
