Van had broken driver's side mirror (old damage marked by 'X' stickers) Location would not refund the after hour fee even though van was parked @ front door & app was not allowing me tp complete the process even though I went home (just blocks away) and finished the process on my desktop. I will go up the street to Enterprise or Next Car before I spend any money @ Uhaul (I have used Uhaul in the past for storage containers, trailer hitches as well as vehicles).STEVEN H.

When I received the truck the gentleman I got my truck fixed my right hand mirror and to adjust it and I've got a run down the road for about one red light and the whole mirror like turned out Waze and I couldn't see so I was kind of scared about driving or getting into the other lane because I couldn't see it all and I kept doing it all day long I fix it it kept going back out so I think that you should maybe check that particular vehicle for that purpose because that's very dangerous had to have somebody follow me because of it another thing is I hope you got the five boxes I left on the truck and a credit to my account please thank youKATHY L.

Have your employees properly trained. I wanted to return an item I purchased and the person in charge told me that he hadn't been trained on how to process returns. He told me to "come back tomorrow. " That is extremely poor customer service.WILLIAM H.
It seemed the site was less than attentive to the administrative updates of the fleet. The images used for damaged were noticeably out of date and very poorly illuminated in the photos. Additionally, the rate seemed high ($1.29/ mile) compared to other area rental locations ($0.99/ mile). The attendant that helped with the rental pickup was extremely professional and highly effective at handling the situation. He did a terrific job mitigating concerns and managing the poorly defined policies of the location.John S.

I rented the Van about an evening of 9/29/2021 to be used the next morning the vehicle was out of alignment. And driving dangerouly whiles I was driving it home. Next morning before I could load up the van to use. The battery died at a gas station. I got into uber to infrom the location and the satff was so rude they told me they will charge me abandoment of vehicle. However when I returned to the vehicle it has been towed.HENRY D.
I like this location the people were friendly and nice they need a little bit of help the lines are long but if they get an extra to sit behind a desk to help the lady that works by herself it would be perfect other than that I would rate it a fiveANITA O.
The entire team there was very helpful they made sure that I was quickly waited on and was guided to the correct equipment they also made sure I had proper air inflation on my trailer and the equipment was well-maintainedRODNEY J.

The first representative was receptive and more people person.. I had to do a screenshot of my mileage n gas.. the first gentleman prior added more on as well as almost slam my body with the back of the van door all because i ask him to review the van.. He had no customer but myself.. I have never been shock of the behavior in being treated in this manner..CAROLYN D.
The best part of the experience was working with the front desk person Antonio. As I've written before he went above and beyond to make the experience easy and understandable, all while working alone on a very busy day, with a line nearly out the door. I was extremely unhappy with my brand new van that continued to ring to notify me that the back right rear door was ajar but it was not. I tried contacting the main office where I got customer care who act as if there was nothing she could do. By the time we realized the van was malfunctioning, our van was packed to capacity and we had to get to our event. This was unacceptable and we should have been compensated for our inconvenience! No one has yet to contact us to deal with the matter!Melvina N.

Everything about my rental was messed up even before I picked up the truck. A day after the truck was returned I received a call asking "are you bringing our truck back?" Just to be a glitch in the system. Then I get my digital receipt to find that I have 2 charges for gas. I filled the gas OVER what it was when I picked it up. I sent 2 emails to report the issue and got nothing. I called the 1 800 number just to wait on hold for 20 minutes. Then the representative who I was speaking to could not even access the emails to see what I had sent. Therefore I had to send her an email. Still waiting to hear about my refundEllen S.

Maybe instead of changing the location of pickup for a reserved vehicle made weeks in advance without notifying the customer, you should attempt to contact the customer in a reasonable time period and locate the required vehicle at a location of their choosing. I totally understand that plans change but the lack of communication and notification are very upsetting when you've planned on this reservation for a very long time. Thanks.Nicholas P.

Go over hidden charges, and fees. My scheduled return time was 5:30, I brought my rental back at 5pm. I was charged an after hours fee, which couldve been avoided had I known it would be incurred. When I arrive to the location to pick up the truck the associate at the front counter repeatedly put in the incorrect transaction for my card to be processed and had me waiting in line for a very long time. Once I went to get the vehicle the ABS light was on so after taking pictures I went back inside of the store to notify the front desk clerk and he assured me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I left the store and went a mile and a half down the street to arrive at my destination and the brakes begin to slip and the engine began to make a loud roaring sound. I then turned the vehicle around and took it back to the store to replace it with another vehicle and there was no apology or no incentive for my inconvenience.DEMITRI R.

My experience with my rental was awful. The individual that checked me in at the rental location seemed confused about what was going on and ignored me for the first 15 minutes I was there even though I was standing directly in front of the counter. I requested a dolly as part of the rental and it was never provided even when I asked. Despite that, I was charged for furniture pads as well as a dolly even though I never received or used either of them. To make matters worse, I had a minor collision with another vehicle while using the rental which resulted in a scratch on the side of the Uhaul. As expected, I was charged an outrageous amount that was somehow issued to me as a promissory note of questionable legality given that I never agreed to a promissory note for an arbitrary damage calculation that I was never able to get clarity on even when I called and questioned the Uhaul customer service. On top of all of that, I received two separate bills for $576.19 and $89.83. The one for $89.93 I was able to locate to pay but I have no idea how to pay the promissory note online since it doesn't pull up on the website that was provided. Using this Uhaul was a huge inconvenience. The customer service at this location is useless.BARNABAS B.

My issue is not with the location but the online and phone service. I ended up having to travel over an hour out of my way to pick up the vehicle. Uhaul claims that the website will suggest the next closest location, but having to drive in the opposite direction to pick up a vehicle is not worth any savings you may receive. The digital checkout process is pretty hard to follow and ultimately didn't work. We probably couldn't have picked up the truck if we'd had to rely solely on it; the guy at the counter was way more efficient. Doubtful I will choose the digital option again.LISA U.

There was 1 person working at the store which cause a line on Friday, July 30, 2021. This person does seem competant but the store was chaotic because there were so many people standing around waiting. I found to truck to be not very well maintained the rides was exremely more bumpy than normal. The young lady handling everyone was trying to charge a cell phone for a man that had died. I found this a bit peculiar and unacceptable this is a u-haul not Verizon or T-mobile, come prepared or go home and come back when you have your needed information in order, this is an adult establishment. When I returned my truck she didn't really have time to deal with me, which was pretty simple considering I only had the truck for about 2 hours and returned it. She was very busy with someone else. She was working very hard but this seems extremely unacceptable and a rather disregarding way to treat your customers time. ANTONIO was AMAZING. I witnessed grouchy tired people come at him and he kept his composure while dealing & resolving their issues. When it was my turn, he was kind and amicable even though he seemed to be the only front desk employee in one of the busiest days of the year in B'more GRADUATIONS all over the city! Lots of moving ins and outs. He handled everything though I bet he wishes he had backup! Give the guy a BIG RAISE! ❤️❤️ The only problem we had was after hours entry.
