Customer service could use a little work. When I called on the phone to make a reservation, the person told me that to use cash there will be a $100 deposit. But when I went to go pick it the truck they said that they don't take cash and it had to be a bank/credit card.ROBERT H.

Be more clear about the insurance. I was told that I had to get the insurance even though I didn't get it when I rented the prior week. I feel like I was swindled into getting the insurance when I didn't need to. Very misleading. I will never rent from here again.DUANE G.
The u-haul truck was very very poorly maintained and I was afraid it would break down during my move. I waited almost 1.5 hours to speak to an attendant who informed me that the one way truck AND UTILITY DOLLY THAT I HAD RESERVED WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I will not use this u-haul location again. First of all I had to walk across the parking lot with a handcart go up 13 wooden steps to the next parking lot pull the truck out first I had to find a truck then I pulled it out I had to put the dolly or the handtruck in the back of the truck then I could go the transmission that was sticking every time I turned around the windshield wipers did not and would not clean the windows very aggravating very frustrating I paid $680 for this truck they really did not drive well and scared the crap out of meKathy W.

Right from the start when i picked up the truck Sharon had a Attitude like i interrupt her eating breakfast at the front desk, didnt say hello or good morning .this being a Saturday i needed to keep the truck longer and was told i could keep it until the next day and bring it back by 7am but the didnt open til 9am so she told me to leave the key in the glove box. so 4days later someone called me and told me they couldnt find the key and i told them Sharon told me to leave it in the glove box and now they charged me 75.00 and Sharon is saying "i didnt tell you to leave the key in the box and we only have one key to the truck.So how did they get the mileage and gas readings i used so they can charged me if no one could find the key to open the truck? and no one returned my call to explainBERNARD J.
The lady who checked us in wasn't very friendly. The tire pressure maintenance warning stayed on the whole trip, and the passenger rear view mirror was broken. On a good note the young man who checked us out was very friendly and polite. For future reference I suggest you to a better job on the upkeep of your vehicles.Alvin A.

I only did a drop-off after hours so I didn't speak to anyone directly, but it was nice that they had overflow parking for truck drop-offs and the drop-off key box was convenient. I received my receipt the next day and everything went smoothly. I anticipated a hard trip at first but was surprised by how easy Uhaul made my move. I will definitely rely on Uhaul for future moves. Ordered truck online I missed my time slot so I stood in line for 25 mins waiting to pick up truck. Finally was able to update pickup info on the app to do online check-in. Went to counter to get key only to go to the truck and couldn't get in because of the horrible parking. Waited another 20 mins to have an employee pull the truck out and it wouldn't start. Went back in since 20 minutes later I was finally able to get a new truck and keys. There was no gas in the truck which is a major inconvenience. Upon return I waited another 15 mins just to get on the parking lot. Of course there was a line inside and the guy on the lot harassed me about gas. Absolutely FUCKED experience with UHAUL! Tried to do the contactless pickup with the Uhaul app on my smartphone which was a joke, would have been way better off just interacting with the dudes at the location. Then the app didn't work when I went to return my van after hours which enabled UHAUL to nickel and dime my ass and charge me an extra 20 dollar fee. Now to top it all off when I received my final invoice this morning they also decided to charge a "lost key" fee of 100 dollars, even though I dropped the key in the night drop box like I was requested to. All in all one of the worst customer experiences of my life I guess try a fucking Penske rental next time! Hey UHAUL get FUCKED!!!Ryan T.

Not sure if your company overbooks like airlines do/did, but as many people with "reservations" walk out of your locations WITHOUT a truck as those getting a truck. I showed up at 7am for my reservation, only to be informed that there were no trucks (15') available until 6:30pm. WOW.DEANGELO B.

First, I had reserved a 15' truck at the location in towson for 11am. When i arrived to pick up the truck, there were none available as the person who rented it did not return it on time. I was then told that my reservation had to be changed by uhaul to a location 20 minutes away and to a smaller truck as there was nothing else available. When i arrived at the new location, i was told there would be a $50 credit applied to my account and it was written in the notes on my account - there is no evidence that this actually occurred. Second, i asked if i could get a reduction on the mileage as this location was considerably farther than the one i had made the reservation at and this was going to cost me more for unnecessary mileage. I was told that customer service would be able to rectify this (please advise as this has not occurred yet). Next, when i reviewed the receipt, it appears that the order was duplicated as 2 rental periods, despite the person who checked me in assuring me that not only was i checked in on time, but that as long as the truck was back before the store closed at 7pm there would not be any additional charges. Overall, not a good experience and i would never recommend this location.MARLA M.

Van had broken driver's side mirror (old damage marked by 'X' stickers) Location would not refund the after hour fee even though van was parked @ front door & app was not allowing me tp complete the process even though I went home (just blocks away) and finished the process on my desktop. I will go up the street to Enterprise or Next Car before I spend any money @ Uhaul (I have used Uhaul in the past for storage containers, trailer hitches as well as vehicles).STEVEN H.

When I received the truck the gentleman I got my truck fixed my right hand mirror and to adjust it and I've got a run down the road for about one red light and the whole mirror like turned out Waze and I couldn't see so I was kind of scared about driving or getting into the other lane because I couldn't see it all and I kept doing it all day long I fix it it kept going back out so I think that you should maybe check that particular vehicle for that purpose because that's very dangerous had to have somebody follow me because of it another thing is I hope you got the five boxes I left on the truck and a credit to my account please thank youKATHY L.

Have your employees properly trained. I wanted to return an item I purchased and the person in charge told me that he hadn't been trained on how to process returns. He told me to "come back tomorrow. " That is extremely poor customer service.WILLIAM H.
It seemed the site was less than attentive to the administrative updates of the fleet. The images used for damaged were noticeably out of date and very poorly illuminated in the photos. Additionally, the rate seemed high ($1.29/ mile) compared to other area rental locations ($0.99/ mile). The attendant that helped with the rental pickup was extremely professional and highly effective at handling the situation. He did a terrific job mitigating concerns and managing the poorly defined policies of the location.John S.

I rented the Van about an evening of 9/29/2021 to be used the next morning the vehicle was out of alignment. And driving dangerouly whiles I was driving it home. Next morning before I could load up the van to use. The battery died at a gas station. I got into uber to infrom the location and the satff was so rude they told me they will charge me abandoment of vehicle. However when I returned to the vehicle it has been towed.HENRY D.

ANTONIO was AMAZING. I witnessed grouchy tired people come at him and he kept his composure while dealing & resolving their issues. When it was my turn, he was kind and amicable even though he seemed to be the only front desk employee in one of the busiest days of the year in B'more GRADUATIONS all over the city! Lots of moving ins and outs. He handled everything though I bet he wishes he had backup! Give the guy a BIG RAISE! ❤️❤️ The only problem we had was after hours entry.
