The location it’s self is difficult to get in and out of especially when hauling a trailer. Extremely difficult to maneuver around in the parking lot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend putting in something for customers to get water or Gatorade especially on hot days like it was when I was there loading and nothing to drink. Thankful one of the employees brought me a water when I was finishing up.

It would be nice if the U-haul location in Niceville, FL, which is approximately 15 miles away from Fort Walton Beach, could also rent out cargo vans. This would have saved me travel time and avoiding the summer traffic here.

However, contract rental was to drop off in Destin. When we went to drop it off, we were told they no longer accepted trucks and we had to go to Ft. Walton. We drove to Ft. Walton and they knew nothing of this and had 4 more people from Destin sent over the same day. The people in Ft. Walton are great. Big inconvenience to all customers because of no acceptance in Destin. 3 hour drive back because of traffic all because of uhaul. This is unacceptable.

My returned trailer was not closed out properly. I had to contact uhaul to request a receipt, and was told three different times that the trailer had not been returned. I don't appreciate this. If the two girls that unhooked my trailer upon returning it had acted promptly (as was done on my recent rentals), there would have been no problem.

The location is great, but your policies need improvement. After loading the trailer, I didn't need the rented hand truck any longer and didn't have room to haul it inside the trailer, so I tried to take it back to the rental location and turn it in. To my amazement, I was told that the rental location couldn't accept the hand truck - it was on my contract and could only be returned at the destination U-Haul facility. No way it could be done, period. So, I had to stuff the hand truck into my SUV and carry that useless piece of equipment with me until I turned the trailer in. I get that your no-change policy makes thing easier for your staff, but it ignores your customer's needs. Rental location - excellent. U-Haul policies - not so much.

called got put on hold for 45 minutes. during the whole time bragging about how easy there online reservation changes are to do. They sent me a validation code to my email that would never work. When I finally got someone on the phone they said they need to connect me to someone else. They did and the phone rang about 30 times and then just hung up. I will only recommend your store to people I really despise! Actually I wouldn't even do that to them! If I could give a negative rating I would!!!

People were very nice, but very rushed which leads to errors. I was told my trailer was not correctly attached by the uhaul in muskegon, mi. They told me we were lucky we made it here safely. The rope was not attached right at the tire, and he said the tires were in poor condition.. This was pretty scary and I probably will not use uhaul after this experience.

I was double billed for the extra day that I pre-coordinated. It took me over an hour on the phone with multiple parties to get this reversed, which was frustrating. The drop-off location also seemed under-staffed. My overall experience was satisfactory, except for the phone based customer service, which was always incredibly slow, time consuming, and not necessarily helpful in resolving my issues.

The original location were my son in law reserved a 26 ft. truck had over booked and did not have a truck available for him. The name of that location is Crestview Food mart at 3051 S Ferdon Blvd, CVW, SL 32536. That is why we had to drive 30 miles out of our way to find another one. My son in law is Stephen Scandrett and he was supposed to receive a $50 dollar rebate but has not as of yet.

Reserved a Truck. Truck wasn’t available, so I was asked via phone if I could use a 10’ box van. I said okay. As I was pulling into the parking lot, I got another call saying the 10’ box van had been rented to someone else. They asked me if I could use a cargo van instead. This wasn’t what I wanted at all, but ok. I got my paperwork, and they pulled the van up. Its license plate didn’t match what was on the paperwork, and I asked about that. They said “we pulled the wrong van up, it’s fine. Just take this one and we will change the paperwork.” Also, the paperwork indicated that the van’s gas tank was 3/4 full, but it was clearly between 1/2 and 5/8 tank. I was in a large hurry, so I did not bring this up to the staff and took the van anyways and returned it with 3/4 tank. Very poor experience overall. The staff was polite and courteous enough, at least.

The staff was very helpful and went out of there way to accommodate me. I have done business with this location on more than one occasion and they are always very professional and make sure the customer is taken care of. That's why I go back!!!

The "manager" a younger female was exceptionally rude. I called the store to let them know that I was not going to make it in for my designated drop off because my car I was towing battery went dead, preventing me from putting the car in neutral. I told the call center representative what happened, the trailer had not been functioning properly and I had to turn on my car lights to continue on my 16 hour trip and that drained the battery. Well the "manager" called my mother and was rude to her saying that their is another reservation and I needed to get the equipment back ASAP. My mom told me and finally we got the car to start and I went and returned the vehicle. Once I got my car off the trailer, it had all types of lights in the dashboard, traction faults, airbag faults, tire faults, cruise control faults....but I didn't fuss about that. I asked the "manager" if she wanted my paperwork and she hurriedly said no, it's fine I'll clear you. She sent me a receipt for $123.00 she charged me for fuel, an extra day truck and dolly rental. When I called the store no one answered and I was sent to the call center to figure out what I missed. I said, I'll just go back up to the store, so I did. When I got their with my paperwork in hand, the "manager" asked how could she help me. I told her and she immediately said we close at 7 you have to come back tomorrow, it was 6:50pm. I said no, she said well I can't help you I'm helping other costumers, I looked puzzled because she just asked what could she help me with....As I waited for the two representatives to finish they just ignored me and the female kept saying she couldn't assist me cause she had other costumers in a rude and irritated manner. I asked her if their was a problem and she said no, they whole time never did she look at me as if my issues were a concern of hers. I told her that she clearly had a problem, and with my disbelief and frustration blurted that she needed to grow the f** up. She said f*** you to me. I said you're in the customer service business and you choose this job, you have no reason to treat me this way. I called the General Manager and she did not answer her phone, I stayed in the store while they continued to shut down to talk to the "manager", she never came back in so I went outside and said you have customers in the store (myself and another lady) when she spoke to her she was calm but with me it was a much different demeanor. She said the manager is coming you can talk to her. After waiting 45 minutes no on came, they locked the door and I waited outside, I knocked on the door and a young man came and said the manager is coming, that's what I was told. And I said, look, I'm not gonna wait all day is she coming or is she just saying that? I then told him i'd be back tomorrow... Overall a horrible experience from pick-up to drop off. I want all my money back and i'll never do business with this organization again and I'll recommend other companies to my veteran counterpart

I rented a motorcycle trailer on April 30th at 7am in the morning. Corte was working the desk. He did an outstanding job assisting me. Even though it was very busy, he worked very hard to take of everyone. Corte deserves recognition for being an outstanding employee at your U-Haul location in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The rental agreement listed the truck's fuel level at 1/2 full and I agreed to self-fuel and return the truck at 1/2 full. When I actually took the truck, the gas was not at 1/2, it was between 1/4 and 1/2. I put approximately 5 miles on the rental and had to add $8.00 worth of gas, about 2 1/2 gallons,to get 1/2 full to return the truck. The vehicle also was slow to start at ignition, like a weak battery which made me nervous about getting stuck in on the road with a bad battery. April Audet was the rental agent and did a great job. She was efficient, helpful, and very friendly.

the drivers seat did not move at all so to reach the accelerator I had to place pillows behind my back ...as April said there was no other uhaul available in the size that I had paid for, even though my sister and I saw two others parked right next to the one we were offered. Also ...the drivers seat had no arm rest and we were told this was a new u-haul!

Parking area around the business was very congested. Required some careful maneuvering to avoid an unfortunate accident. Not much space so you may be locked in to your current parking arrangement for all your equipment. Excellent operation!

I made my reservation and also reserved an appliance dolly 10 days before I picked up the truck. When I arrived, they didn’t have anymore left. I was disappointed. Also, the trucks brakes were rough and caused hard breaking, even when breaking lightly.

Staff was friendly, helpful. Overall price for a $19.95 a day van and $.59 per mile was over $60.00! That makes the overall experience 4 stars from me. As a recent return customer, I used Uhaul when I moved to the area. If you don't have a return customer discount or rewards program, you should.

The first uhaul 15ft box truck issued to me has a check engine lite and one of the employees said they are aware and will fox it. No way!! I did not trust her comment. Had to change to another vehicle. Upon returning the black guy employee who received us did a fantastic job. I like him and I will rent again because of his great customer service

The guy and girl who had to go locate the trailer; you don’t need 20 minutes to walk around a small parking lot trying to find it. Then (I didn’t realize until I got home) was the wrong one. Then the girl gave me a hard time about my ball receiver being too big for U-Haul equipment. I explained to her I just drove 1,600 miles with that same set up that was purchased and installed from U-Haul without issue. Then when I mentioned she didn’t have it properly secured, her tightening down the hitch (she said she knew what she was doing). Made the first turn and found out it wasn’t on all the way. The two working outside need additional training.

When I called to make the appointment the appointment line representative didn't schedule for wiring, even though I was very clear. So we had to go back for a second appointment. It was a bit frustrating. Thank goodness the location had the parts in stock, otherwise we would have had to pay for priority shipping a second time to get it here. But the people at the actual location were very helpful and got us all squared away.

The girl that checked me out said she gave me until 6:30pm the next day to return the truck. She didn’t mention that it was gonna cost me an extra $40 and she also didn’t tell me I would have to pay extra if I went over a certain number of miles. I didn’t find this out till I dropped off the truck in Panama City and they charged me an extra $60. I honestly feel like she scammed me by telling me I had until 6:30pm the following day to drop off the truck without telling me it’d cost me another $40.

The sales person stated that I could bring the truck back empty be I received it that way, however when I returned the truck I was shown in the contract that I needed to bring it back on 1/4 full. Didn't quite understand that policy.

The equipment number and the contract number were different. The location I requested for drop off was not entered correctly. The drop off address I requested was entered as my "customer address." Right tail light was out.

Within a minute of pulling into the drop off site, a very friendly lady attendant met me. She took the information she needed. Unhooked the trailer, mailed me a receipt and sent me on my way. All within 7 minutes. That’s what I call fast & excellent service.

I don’t have anything to improve at this location. All personnel, only name I remember is Nicole. Everyone was absolutely amazing and accommodating. I had a very restless 2 year old and they helped to entertain her and just talk to us. The whole process took almost 3 hours, but I wasn’t bother because of the great customer service that morning. I hope that these people get credit for what they do. Moving can be stressful and when you have smiling people to help you out it makes life a bit easier. Thank you!

I booked a truck for 24 hrs got a call first thing in the morning telling me I wouldn’t be able to get a full 24 hrs and could only have the truck for 4hrs I didn’t get all of my moving done. Will probably use another company besides U-Haul in the future.

I had a terrible experience with u haul. I rented a 5 by 8 trailer . They hooked it up wrong and it unattached during the trip. I had no brake lights , turn signals etc. I was push off the highway by a car that couldn’t see me.I couldn’t hook it up agian because it was damaged. My drop off location was 15 miles away after this incident. I called 1 800 u haul to ask them them if I could return the UHaul to a closer location because it was so unsafe to drive and my One year old grandson had been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. I had not sleep in 48 hours , was scared to drive the vehicle without brake lights turn signals, etc. And was extremely shaken up after being ran off the rode. I had to get to the hospital ASAP. U haul had asigned me a drop off location about a mile away. I would never ever recommend using the Apollo beach food mart location. I was resigned by U haul to drop it off there .The owner refused to take it ,he said his lot was full . I told him that is his problem . He told me it was my fault for hooking it up wrong ( u haul did at pick up !!!!!) . I told him I had to get to the hospital and this is illegal to drive . He said I don’t care ,get out of his store. I said so you don’t care if your sending me out in a death trap. His reply is it’s not my care or concern, then a few choice words from me. I went out to my car and called the cops. If I leave the parking lot and get in a wreck it’s my responsibility. If I get pulled over by police because of no brake lights then Iam responsible. Even when 1 -800 u haul was on the line he didn’t come out to remove it. Finally as the cop came he came out to remove it . All of this and it took him 30 seconds to remove. He let me know he was best friends with the cop and I shouldn’t have been disrespectful to him. U haul should never allow any satellite drop off location to ever be in business if they are willing to risk someone’s life because they are to lazy to do there job and take a minute to remove a trailer. If he didn’t have room on his lot ,he should have called another location for them to pick it up. I give the Apollo food mart a F plus rating. The owner is willing to risk your life because he is lazy and a asshole . SHAME ON YOU U HAUL if you allow him to risk peoples lives because he is to lazy to follow any safety standards!!!!!!!

Storage unit rented was in disrepair. Door to the unit jammed and came off the rails many times. When I went to empty the unit and let the staff know. Employees were vaping and did nothing. Typical!
