I booked my service online and made sure that it was done through the mobile but when I got into the office, I noticed that my request was not going through so I had to wait in the line for 40 minutes. There were 4 staff members that I could see in the building but only one was helping the line up while the other ones were around and one of the ones with brown shirt was on his phone instead of helping the customers. I booked the truck for 24 hours from 11am to 11am of the following day. I received the keys at 11:30 and the contract was indicating 11am to return and did not take into account that I received the truck late due to the line up. I had to convince the staff member to change the return time to correctly reflect 24 hours. Possibly the worst interaction I have had with uhaul as a regular customer.HAMID M.
I had reserved a 26' truck to move a family of 5. On arrival I was told that the only 26' truck they had was in repairs and asked if a 20' would do. We ended up having to do an extra run of 30km because of the smaller truck but I was not reimbursed for the extra trip. The equipment we rented, appliance dolly and blankets were not in the truck. This unfortunately was discovered once we were back at the load site. What can be done to improve? Have the right truck and equipment in place and ready at the time of pickup.Corey K.

The pick up process was slow and tedious, especially as I gave a lot of the information during booking. The fact that there was 1/4 full of a tank of fuel, and I had to bring it back at the exact same amount was ridiculous. It's inconvenient and very hard for a customer to have to put just a little fuel in at a time, and definitely works out better for the rental agency. Not very customer friendly and I've never had a rental vehicle experience like that. The vehicle was incredibly dirty inside and needs a good clean. The drop off was just as slow, and I had to wait more than 15 min just to get back money on my card that I had paid too much for (because of the deposit). The booking itself was also somewhat annoying as I booked for the location that was closest to my address where I had to be, and I specifically checked out vehicle availability there, but I was still sent somewhere else about 15-20 km away after I booked. Considering I have to pay per km, this is also not customer friendly and feels like a rip off.Holly K.
Don't contact people the day before move day to inform them you changed the pick up location, then not even give them enough gas to make it to the actual pick up location they reserved it for.James M.

EXCELLENT customer service when returning. They were super busy when I was returning the truck. The agent met me outside and was so calm, friendly and excellent customer service. He made the return process so smooth. I am sorry I don't recall his name. If you truly care about your employees, find out who it was and make him employee of the month.Trevor S.

When I went to pick up the truck, customer service was excellent. However the truck was very dirty and I was able to get a different truck. That being said, the second truck literally had zero gas so had to drive to the gas station on fumes to fill up. The truck worked well for what I needed. On the return, it was a total disaster. There were only 2 customer service people and 8 customers in line. The female customer service person could not speak English, did not understand what the customers were telling her and did not know the computer system. It was extremely hard to understand what she was saying. She was helping the customer in front of me but couldn't and the customer had to repeat the process from the start with another customer service person. When asked what he was putting on the trailer, the customer said a side by side in which the customer service person said that he has no idea what that is and that he couldn't rent him the trailer. Seriously??? The customer then explained it to him as an off road vehicle - the customer service person still had no idea. While this was going on, the customer service people could not find sets of keys for trucks for 2 different customers. It was over 30 minutes to wait for 2 customers in front of me and then I was served. When the female customer service person came with me to the truck she told me that I didn't put enough gas in - even though you could clearly see that the needle was over the 1/4 tank mark. So I said at least 3 times to look at the guage and she finally understood what I was meaning. Uggh not a very good experience returning the truck.Roxanne D.

There was an indicator on the dash that the tire pressure was low. I would think when the vehicle is checked in that would have been noted and addressed for the next customer. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and professionalMark R.

I had a 9 am pick up appointment and I expected to have the van ready and the dolly I rented to be ready, It took 45 minutes for them to give me the van and I discovered the dolly I rented was not in the van. I wrote an email to the General Manager and no response yet, which I sent on Jan 7th, today is Jan 12th, when I phoned from my destination to inform the General Manager that the dolly was not in the van on Jan 6th. He informed that he would not charge for the dolly and that 10cents off would be applied to the mileage $1.27/km which was not applied when I received my bill. What terrible customer service!MAI J.

New hire (assuming new) needs better customer service skills and communication. Not make customer stand and wait because she isn't asking her co-workers for help. She just stood there until the last jumped in realizing she needed help and not asking. I also corrected the phone number to her and she said it was fine and she fixed it, it didn't so we had to figure out who received the text to verify things. This was for the tow rental. The trailer rental was a way better experience!!!ALLYSHA R.

Very poor service. I had a reservation for 10 am. I am expecting my truck to be waiting and ready to go. I arrive and there is zero parking on this site for my vehicle. Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out anywhere to park. Then line up inside for service was way too long! Spent 25 minutes trying to deal with an agent. PLEASE!! Add more staffing to your location. This has happened too many times here!! Lastly, I am directed to my rental truck only to find it completely buried in snow. This is not what I am expecting. I am expecting a vehicle ready to go. I spent close to 25 minutes locating the vehicle and then cleaning all the snow off it. I left the yard 55 minutes after getting there. That is terrible. U-Haul should have employees getting vehicles ready to go in the morning for those with reservation times. Frustrating to say the least.Doug N.

Update your reservation/scheduling ways. I reserved a trailer for a site, Broadway Street in Poco, get there to only be told the trailer isn't there. My reservation said pick up trailer there. Then I get to ioco location and they didn't have my reservation at all. Overall 1.5 hours just to get the trailer hooked on to my truck. No refund offered, nothing. Horrible experience.MORGAN H.

The truck the crew had prepared for me had a flat tire. So they changed to a new truck for me which I didn't realize until halfway through the day that it had no license plates on it - front or back. Very sketchy. Also, the check engine light was on the whole time I used the truck. Lastly, the windshield was held in place by tape, which I took a picture of. The crew didn't seem to care about any of these issues when I brought them up upon returning the key. I will never recommend this company anymore.Kris F.

Overall great service. Only issue was the vehicle I rented had previous front bumper damage and it was hanging there unsafe. Was declared in pretrio inspection but I ended up tying the bumper to safe anywaysBRENT O.
