I would never recommend uhaul to anyone for anything at all! They charged me for driving miles I KNOW I did NOT drive! I added up the Miles I drove and it came to 25.2. They charged me for 127.0 miles at 87.63!!!! Big difference. 102 miles. They have a pretty elaborate scam going on? Way to go Uhaul. I know the truck read was 133 right after I pulled away. If you add the 25 I drove...hmmm. it would say 159 which Is what truck read

I get the amount for gas, but the fact that you charge $30 for a fuel service fee is absolutely ridiculous. This will sadly be the last time I rent a truck from you.

I pulled into the rental return line and didn't see anyone, as usual for this location. I took that moment I thought I was alone to fiddle with the settings on my truck stereo and by the time I was done there was a young lady standing next to my truck with a phone or handheld device who had checked in my equipment, finalized my rental, and started unhooking the trailer. I didn't even have to get out of my truck! It was literally drive-through service for me. Fast, efficient and friendly; a customer couldn't ask for anything more.

Was overcharged for fuel, brought truck back with more then I left and they tried to slap on big charge. U haul also did give credit owed for sending to further location away so had to backtrack and drive further to location causing bigger mileage charge which was the reservation centers fault. Big mess with extra charges and promises broken. I will have second thoughts about doing business with U haul again. zero stars for u haul corporation

I reserved a uhaul 10 days prior to 8/1 thru the UHaul site. My pick up location was Sun City Auto Service. When I arrive the morning of 8/1 I was told that the UHaul manager had taken that vehicle on Friday and there was nothing available. I had to find a different location and pay for a ride share to get there. This set me back a hour and cost me additional money. It was incredibly frustrating.

I originally rented a truck for a week long and was quoted $418 for 7 days and up to 750 miles. I had to extend the rental out 2 days which didn't seem to be an issue. Upon turning the truck in, I was charged for 10 days rather than the 9 days and the company charged me an additional $300 stating that it was more beneficial for them to charge me this way rather than that $19.95 a day and mileage. Not to mention the truck had only been drove 600 miles in the 9 days.

The truck we received was very filthy inside, lots of trash, cups, spilled coffee, filthy windows, filth everywhere, yet the entire team convened at ine young females counter spot cracking subtle, extremely off color, inappropriate remarks, and the childess bantor continued...! Rude...many ext.smashes shapes, no.one walked the truck w/us to review anything? Or previous damages, the truck had less than 1/3 tank, which is how we returned it, but they should always be filled up and ready for the next customer. We have rented through the years from several locations but never been this appalled by the Uhaul service ppl, and dirty rental..just ruins our trip, which is already a hard enough journey. This was one facility that use some corporate rebranding, and pride reinstated. A good cleaning up and a few CS hours spent would go a long way to improve service at the 87th ave.& Bell Ave, Peoria location.

I picked up a vehicle that was parked right next to a large bush so when I went to inspect the vehicle for damages I was unable to see the massive dent hidden by the bush. I haven't gotten blamed for it (yet), but I feel kind of duped that I "approved" the vehicle to be damage free when the parking job hid significant damage. Also the employees don't really know much about the vehicles. I asked if a 90" couch would fit in my rental and the employee said "you'll probably be fine" lol.

Make sure the headlights work so you aren't driving with the high beams on at night. Make sure the windshield wipers work properly and not held together with a black plastic tie and that the driver can see out the window when it's raining.. Make sure a cross country U-haul has cruise control and the seats recline.

The truck we rented was given to us with a dirty windshield. So dirty you couldn't see clearly. There was no windshield fluid to clean the windshield. The most disturbing aspect was the truck was dangerous to drive. Both outside mirrors after setting in the correct position fell down and pointed towards the ground. I was alone in the truck and couldn't readjust them while driving. SO DANGEROUS!!!!!

The lady at the counter was rude! She was busy eating and treated me like an annoyance. They did not have the blankets I ordered, I had to go to a different lcoation. They hooked me up to the wrong trailer. When I tried to drop it off they said it did not match the contract. Was not under my name. it was completely wrong. The hitch was loose, I had to tighten it after a few miles.

The girl who serviced me was very unhelpful. She gave me the key with the number on it and said this is you truck it is parked outside. After searching and not finding it I hunted her down and she said it's that one over there, I tried 3 trucks before I key fit the one that was mine. I am having an issue with the gas and mileage that I will pursue if no call is returned as I complained when I brought it back and the guy said he will talk with his manager, and they will call me. No one went over the truck with me in the beginning or upon return. Very unhappy with the service there.

Brian was a tremendous help when getting my U-Haul! Yet I was overcharged due to the mileage. When I picked up the U-Haul mileage was incorrect by 2k miles. I told Joseph it was incorrect (and took a picture) he said he'd fixed it and did not. My final receipt said I drove over 30 miles where in fact I drove less than 15 miles total round trip. Waiting for them to fix the error on their end.

I received a call and message from the general manager that the vehicle was never returned the day after and threatened on the message that the matter would be escalated. I called and resolved the issue but then was charged a 2nd time for the vehicle. That was later reimbursed but then another reservation was accidentally made under my phone number for 5 days from now. I had to call again and get that reservation canceled. The location was OK but the behind the scenes with payment and such needs to get themselves a little more organized.

Didn't discover until we returned home (55 miles away) that furniture pads were forgotten. Another location graciously gave them to us. I was called the day before my reservation and told I couldn't do a one-way trip. It was very inconvenient after I had already reserved the truck. Then I received a text asking if I was going to return the truck to the original destination. I ended up spending more in gas to return the truck but it seems like I could have done the one-way trip. The whole thing was very confusing and none of the paperwork or what I was being told matched.

One thing I had a hard time with was the card that allows me to get into the storage. Every time I tried to clock out of the storage it wouldn't let me it kept saying access denied. Just had a hard time getting in and out with the key card

I have been through so much this past year and having a unit at this U-Haul location has been a tremendous help to My family. U-Haul worked with me when I was having trouble making a payment and always stayed on top of everything. I would definitely recommend u-haul to everyone i know and most definitely will use them as a go to when needed be. The staff there is a great one no doubt about it and Stephanie has been the most amazing employee, the most hospitable person you could meet, superior customer service, all around a great person, thank you. The janitor there is a great guy definitely someone to keep long term at any industry, very kind and friendly with outstanding customer care. Thank you to all at U-Haul for helping me get through this tough time in my life, you all are amazing.

Storage is expensive with no perks for loyalty. Increased pricing for the same unit and was not provided a pro-rate for the month of March, even though I just paid $200 on 2/28 and moved out 03/06. So I'm paying for space I'm not even using. Ridiculous.

I have rented a unit from the facility by Arrowhead mall for over 4 years now. The manager 4 years ago was fantastic! I mostly just needed the unit for receiving large shipments on pallets. Uhaul provides a service for this which I paid for. The staff 4 years ago was also fantastic. The janitor always stopped to talk to me as well as the staff in the bay. However, it's now 2022 and in the past 6 months there have been several manager changes. Each one has gotten worse. They would give me a hard time about my shipments being dropped off. They gave the delivery drivers a hard time and didn't want to sign for my shipments being dropped off. They would call me an hour before they close and insist that I get there to take the shipment before the office closed. It became unreasonable. I was told that the owner was the one giving them a hard time and in turn, the manager was passing that on to me. The final straw was when the new manager called me in and told me they'd have to add $10 a month to my bill (after I'd been renting at the same price for 4+ years) because they had made a mistake and needed to charge me more. Not sure who taught these guys how to run a business, but I hope the extra $20 from my last 2 months was worth losing a customer who was paying $170+ a month for over 4 years. Good luck, your new management is terrible and do not treat your customers with respect.

I had a reservation. When I arrived we checked in. The agent helping us places the Erin name on the account. Then he gave us directions to a unit number that was incorrect, it was the incorrect unit number. Then when we received the correct unit number. We unpacked went to the unit , there was a lock on it. We informed the front desk they sent an agent to unlock it. He found out that his key didn't work, Notified us that it was a customers lock. That UHaul were not allowed to cut the lock. However I could go get a lock Cutter and cut it off. Inform them that was not my responsibility. They had no other units the size that we had reserved that was climate controlled. We had to repack the truck and go find another storage unit. A horrible customer service experience.

I reserved a first floor unit, that should have been climate controlled. I got there and it is a lower level unit, not climate controlled. Accessing my unit is hard. The doors are blocked by regular cars parked so I cannot back my trailer to it. The elevator is slow, slow, slow. So you are stuck in the sweltering heat. Not a great experience. We have a couple units in Phoenix that are way nicer, I should have gotten another one there and just made the drive.

They rented me a locker that was already rented out I placed a hold on unit online but that wasn't useful I was charged twice and still waiting on my refund very inconvenient. I went up the street and didn't mind paying the extra charge for a 10x10 I would have rented with uhaul but apparently no one knows what they are doing there

Everything went great. We were told we would get a 10 x 10 when we arrived but all that was left was 10x5.....we eneded up being able to get a 10x10. They were very helpful and accommodating.

The move in was horrible the employees could not help us . We pull up in our rent trailer after driving it from Oregon planning to empty into the storage unit . To our surprise the unit had a pillar in it and it was half the size we paid for. Tried to talk to the employee about it and he said to bad that what you get. The manager was no help at all I would never recommended them. To say the less we move all of our stuff to a different storage company.

I encountered a problem trying to lock the unit; after a long exhausting day, I couldn't get the top part of the latch to slide forward placing the plunger into the hole in the door frame. A young man from the office came to help but was unable to get the latch to engage as well. He told me no one would be available to fix it until morning. Obviously that wasn't acceptable. He left to see if someone else could help. After standing at my storage unit for about 10 minutes I went outside to see the young man who had been helping me was now in the driveway assisting people w/ their rental trailers. So I called the U-Haul main number and held for nearly 15 minutes. While I was holding the young man comes to me to report that his manager is gone and she's not answering the phone because she's off duty now. I was also told there was no emergency number because this problem had never occurred before. The lady who answered my call shared that if the unit couldn't be locked, the store had an obligation to move my belongings to a secure facility if that was needed to secure it. I explained that we had just moved three safes into the unit and that would be extremely difficult without the appropriate equipment. After a long hold, she comes back on the line and tells me she's "just going to have to wake Jennifer up." I didn't realize it, but the rep connected me directly to Jennifer who clearly wasn't happy with the call. She tried to explain that the store was closed now and there was no one to help. I told her this all began before the store closed. Finally she offered to get the situation corrected and told me she would call me back. Almost immediately two attendants came running to help. Turns out that in order to get the top latch to engage, it requires the user to literally stand on the handle applying all the user's weight for this particular unit. At the end of an exhausting day to have run into this odd situation was tear-inducing and to have a staff that seemed so ill-prepared was even more frustrating. It took more than an hour to correct something that should have taken the amount of time it would take an employee to get from the store to the unit in question but an hour was unacceptable. Jennifer could have called me back too to make sure everything was finally handled correctly and to my satisfaction, but...I will continue to use the facility but will recognize that if assistance is required, it seems to be limited by knowledge, imagination and desire.
