On my email confirmation I was sent to the location on 67th ave. I walked in and stood there and waited the associate was on the phone with a customer while the general manager continuously yelled at the associate to tell her what to say to the person on the phone. I knew he was the general manager by the monogram on his polo. We weren't greeted just continued to be ignored. Only to be told we were at the wrong location according to the system and told we could not be helped there. We get to the next location and no one could find keys to the truck we rented. Uhual is nothing but a disorganized mess. I would suggested you re-staffing starting with your general managers.Matthew B.
The actual equipment and the process were great, easy. The customer service from Mike this morning was top-notch, however, I returned tonight, 9/30/22, and a girl did my return. I did not catch her name, but she did not seem happy to be there or to help me. She caused the process to feel awkward, when this morning was really nice.Jennifer L.

First, no one called to confirm my reservation for the night before so I called since it was a guaranteed. I speak to Julia who confirms it for Sun City (where I requested) and even gives me detailed instructions on how to get there. I get there and the guy tells me it is at arrowhead and flatly won't do anything to help even though all my info shows his location. He won't even exchange a truck for me with someone for a later appt. He does not care we used loaders through them and they are already en route to my house bc they insisted on a specific load time based on my pickup time. Now he makes me travel further to another uhaul by arrowhead from surprise. He wasn't helpful to either my husband or myself and didn't care about our concern for missing our window. Then we get to the arrowhead one and of course there's a wait now, whereas we were at surprise before arrival. They didn't have printer ink so they just say they will text our contract. 臘â€â™€ï¸Matthew S.
The truck pick up was easy. The truck ran a little rough. The moving help I hired through the app were excellent. I reserved a 10x10 climate controlled storage that somehow got lost in the mix and I had to scramble to find a facility that could rent me what I need. This cost me money to the movers and milage and my time. It was disappointing. I did find what I needed at another uhaul facility. I believe uhual should offer to reimburse me for costs incurred.Jason S.

The mileage estimator paperwork is flawed. I did exactly as it said and overpaid on fuel by about $20. And since Uhaul refuses to reimburse for extra fuel, it's unfair to customers. Yet, you want to charge $30 to customers if they are under the fuel level indicated. :(Anthony T.

Your manager on Saturday was arguing with someone about charges. When I brought the truck back on Sunday, she was arguing about charges on my account. There was a hold of $75.00 on Saturday, when I brought the truck back Sunday, she told me there would be another $87.00 charge (actual charges). Not the difference between the hold amount and the actual charges. I argued and argued that I could not afford both on the account. When the charges came through, it was the original $75.00 hold and the difference of $13.00. I am not sure what happened with the other client on Saturday, but she is very rude and unknowledgeable. I will never go to that Uhaul location again because of her.Betty G.

When I arrived for pickup I did not have my credit card so I paid cash including deposit. I was told when I returned the equipment I could change the method of payment to card. When I returned the equipment I was then told I could NOT change the method of payment and was not allowed to put on my card. I wanted payment on my card as it was a business expense. Was told the agent at pickup â€œgave wrong information â€œ. Agent at return identified herself as the manager. Why would I not be able to pay with card at pickup? Was very frustrating.CHAZ W.

I would never recommend uhaul to anyone for anything at all! They charged me for driving miles I KNOW I did NOT drive! I added up the Miles I drove and it came to 25.2. They charged me for 127.0 miles at 87.63!!!! Big difference. 102 miles. They have a pretty elaborate scam going on? Way to go Uhaul. I know the truck read was 133 right after I pulled away. If you add the 25 I drove...hmmm. it would say 159 which Is what truck readShannon W.

I pulled into the rental return line and didn't see anyone, as usual for this location. I took that moment I thought I was alone to fiddle with the settings on my truck stereo and by the time I was done there was a young lady standing next to my truck with a phone or handheld device who had checked in my equipment, finalized my rental, and started unhooking the trailer. I didn't even have to get out of my truck! It was literally drive-through service for me. Fast, efficient and friendly; a customer couldn't ask for anything more.David W.

Was overcharged for fuel, brought truck back with more then I left and they tried to slap on big charge. U haul also did give credit owed for sending to further location away so had to backtrack and drive further to location causing bigger mileage charge which was the reservation centers fault. I reserved a uhaul 10 days prior to 8/1 thru the UHaul site. My pick up location was Sun City Auto Service. When I arrive the morning of 8/1 I was told that the UHaul manager had taken that vehicle on Friday and there was nothing available. I had to find a different location and pay for a ride share to get there. This set me back a hour and cost me additional money. It was incredibly frustrating.Jesi M.

I originally rented a truck for a week long and was quoted $418 for 7 days and up to 750 miles. I had to extend the rental out 2 days which didn't seem to be an issue. Upon turning the truck in, I was charged for 10 days rather than the 9 days and the company charged me an additional $300 stating that it was more beneficial for them to charge me this way rather than that $19.95 a day and mileage. Not to mention the truck had only been drove 600 miles in the 9 days.scott D.

I have been through so much this past year and having a unit at this U-Haul location has been a tremendous help to My family. U-Haul worked with me when I was having trouble making a payment and always stayed on top of everything. I would definitely recommend u-haul to everyone i know and most definitely will use them as a go to when needed be. The staff there is a great one no doubt about it and Stephanie has been the most amazing employee, the most hospitable person you could meet, superior customer service, all around a great person, thank you. I have rented a unit from the facility by Arrowhead mall for over 4 years now. The manager 4 years ago was fantastic! I mostly just needed the unit for receiving large shipments on pallets. Uhaul provides a service for this which I paid for. The staff 4 years ago was also fantastic. The janitor always stopped to talk to me as well as the staff in the bay. However, it's now 2022 and in the past 6 months there have been several manager changes. Each one has gotten worse. They would give me a hard time about my shipments being dropped off. They gave the delivery drivers a hard time and didn't want to sign for my shipments being dropped off. They would call me an hour before they close and insist that I get there to take the shipment before the office closed. It became unreasonable. I was told that the owner was the one giving them a hard time and in turn, the manager was passing that on to me. The final straw was when the new manager called me in and told me they'd have to add $10 a month to my bill (after I'd been renting at the same price for 4+ years) because they had made a mistake and needed to charge me more. Not sure who taught these guys how to run a business, but I hope the extra $20 from my last 2 months was worth losing a customer who was paying $170+ a month for over 4 years. I had a reservation. When I arrived we checked in. The agent helping us places the Erin name on the account. Then he gave us directions to a unit number that was incorrect, it was the incorrect unit number. Then when we received the correct unit number. We unpacked went to the unit , there was a lock on it. We informed the front desk they sent an agent to unlock it. He found out that his key didn't work, Notified us that it was a customers lock. That UHaul were not allowed to cut the lock. However I could go get a lock Cutter and cut it off. Inform them that was not my responsibility. They had no other units the size that we had reserved that was climate controlled. I reserved a first floor unit, that should have been climate controlled. I got there and it is a lower level unit, not climate controlled. Accessing my unit is hard. The doors are blocked by regular cars parked so I cannot back my trailer to it. The elevator is slow, slow, slow. So you are stuck in the sweltering heat. Not a great experience. The move in was horrible the employees could not help us . We pull up in our rent trailer after driving it from Oregon planning to empty into the storage unit . To our surprise the unit had a pillar in it and it was half the size we paid for. Tried to talk to the employee about it and he said to bad that what you get. I encountered a problem trying to lock the unit; after a long exhausting day, I couldn't get the top part of the latch to slide forward placing the plunger into the hole in the door frame. A young man from the office came to help but was unable to get the latch to engage as well. He told me no one would be available to fix it until morning. Obviously that wasn't acceptable. He left to see if someone else could help. After standing at my storage unit for about 10 minutes I went outside to see the young man who had been helping me was now in the driveway assisting people w/ their rental trailers. So I called the U-Haul main number and held for nearly 15 minutes. While I was holding the young man comes to me to report that his manager is gone and she's not answering the phone because she's off duty now. I was also told there was no emergency number because this problem had never occurred before. The lady who answered my call shared that if the unit couldn't be locked, the store had an obligation to move my belongings to a secure facility if that was needed to secure it. I explained that we had just moved three safes into the unit and that would be extremely difficult without the appropriate equipment. After a long hold, she comes back on the line and tells me she's "just going to have to wake Jennifer up." I didn't realize it, but the rep connected me directly to Jennifer who clearly wasn't happy with the call. She tried to explain that the store was closed now and there was no one to help. I told her this all began before the store closed. Finally she offered to get the situation corrected and told me she would call me back. Almost immediately two attendants came running to help. Turns out that in order to get the top latch to engage, it requires the user to literally stand on the handle applying all the user's weight for this particular unit. At the end of an exhausting day to have run into this odd situation was tear-inducing and to have a staff that seemed so ill-prepared was even more frustrating. It took more than an hour to correct something that should have taken the amount of time it would take an employee to get from the store to the unit in question but an hour was unacceptable. Jennifer could have called me back too to make sure everything was finally handled correctly and to my satisfaction, but...I will continue to use the facility but will recognize that if assistance is required, it seems to be limited by knowledge, imagination and desire.Sandra C. | Online Move In
