I paid cash after dropping the van back off, then I find that my debit card was charged $14.06, September 14th, I requested a refund, I was told it would credit back to my account, 7 days later I have not gotten a refund, I instead was told I would need to speak to the supervisor tomorrow, I have waited a week, now I will have to report this to the credit bureau.

Employees weren't rude, but just indifferent. For example, when I dropped the truck off, the employee was sitting at a desk eating lunch. They took my keys and didn't say a word - didn't offer me a receipt, didn't ask me how it went, nothing. Just took the keys and kept eating. The lock attached to the back of our truck (which was ancient) didn't work with the key I was given. When I asked an employee about this, he just shrugged and told me to go buy another lock. The truck was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned it ages. It smelled awful. The wipers just smeared everything around. The passenger door wouldn't shut all the way. The driver's window wouldn't roll down properly. The headlights barely illuminated the road - it was like driving with a couple of Zippos lighting the way. Literally. On our way home, the truck threw a "check engine" light. Because *of course* it did. Uhaul needs to update its fleet and pull these old trucks out. Maybe do some customer service training. Until then, we'll be using Penske.

It had roaches and rats in it. It's clean, climate control but definitely has roaches and rats…. Once i saw that i gave all my stuff away that was in the storage. But the people are friendly and very helpful!!!

I'm not sure what how the mileage is calculated. I see the sign out mileage and I took a picture of return mileage. Ain't no way in hell that's correct! I absolutely did not travel 27 miles! I literally picked up the truck, drove it less than a mile down the street, 5201 w 65th st, loaded it and parked it until the event was over at 11:00. Unloaded the truck, didn't move it, unloaded it and then drove it back down the street and parked it. So. Something is very wrong with those numbers. The only reason we put 10 miles is because the agent said we couldn't put a mile! Very disappointing. I does this all the time and this is 1st for the shenanigans….

Fix the return system I tried to go online and return it and it kept giving me an error message and I had only rented the truck for about six hours so since we wasn't able to check in I had to pay some extra money because the place was closed and I had done an online chat with the young lady and I thought she would note that we turned it in early but wasn't able to turn it in in the system so we can get some of our money back everything else was well thank you have a blessed night

The front desk clerk (guy) initially told me that there were ONLY 5X5s available and that the Kanis location had the larger units. I asked several times to verify. I had to go online myself only to discover that there were PLENTY of units and rented from there. Thank goodness for quick thinking and online rental and move-in.

We brought back a pickup truck a day earlier than what we rented for and I just thought it was not worth being charged that full day. At least a half day credit would have been right. After all we did bring it back before 12 noon on 6-6. The truck was washed out and gas back in.

I'm from out of town, so would never be referring to that specific location. I had reserved furniture pads, but they weren't available when I arrived. It would have been nice if the website had that information at the time of booking, so I could have made alternate arrangements.

Have the vehicle that's being rented ready and have the keys available. Work on your customer service skills at U-Haul.com no one pics up the phone or answers the chat board. Employee assumed that I was dropping off in wrong location after I explained that it was changed in the system and incorrect on the paperwork. Employee was continually insisting that I was wrong until he scanned the truck and it told him that I was in the right location.

The truck we received was on empty and we had to go straight to the gas station. The customer service we received was good. When we dropped the truck off at the pickup location the location was closed and it was posted that it opens at 7am. So we had to wait almost 45 minutes until someone came to turn the truck in.

The website was inaccurate about availability of products. Luckily there was a VERY nice and supportive black lady that went out of her way to go pick the part up from another store so we could have it installed that day. (Wish I knew her name) She deserves bonus!!

We originally had the appointment scheduled two weeks earlier, but when we arrived, we were told that the hitch wasn't even in stock yet. I made the appointment online, and nowhere online did it say that I needed a confirmation phone call. When I finally did come in for the installation, my appointment was delayed again for an hour. I would not recommend this location, but the manager was nice.

The truck reservation was not ready at the appointed time. When I asked for the $50 guarantee, I was told if I got the guarantee, my reservation would be cancelled. Your website says: “Your reservation is guaranteed or we will give you $50 Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation”. (Copied from U-Haul website). The rude clerk gave me a choice: $50 guarantee and my reservation cancelled or no $50 guarantee and get a larger truck at the same price. So I ended up with a larger truck at the same price but no $50 guarantee! Sounds like false advertising to me.

The ramp wouldn't pull down. My son had to load the truck the hard way. Also, I ordered a dolly and after unloading at his destination I realized we didn't get one. I hope he wasn't charged for it. Otherwise we ha e enjoy our experiences with your business.
