Employees weren't rude, but just indifferent. For example, when I dropped the truck off, the employee was sitting at a desk eating lunch. They took my keys and didn't say a word - didn't offer me a receipt, didn't ask me how it went, nothing. Just took the keys and kept eating. The lock attached to the back of our truck (which was ancient) didn't work with the key I was given. When I asked an employee about this, he just shrugged and told me to go buy another lock. The truck was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned it ages. It smelled awful. The wipers just smeared everything around. The passenger door wouldn't shut all the way. The driver's window wouldn't roll down properly. The headlights barely illuminated the road - it was like driving with a couple of Zippos lighting the way. Literally. On our way home, the truck threw a "check engine" light. Because *of course* it did. Uhaul needs to update its fleet and pull these old trucks out. Maybe do some customer service training. Until then, we'll be using Penske.Kelly V.

I'm not sure what how the mileage is calculated. I see the sign out mileage and I took a picture of return mileage. Ain't no way in hell that's correct! I absolutely did not travel 27 miles! I literally picked up the truck, drove it less than a mile down the street, 5201 w 65th st, loaded it and parked it until the event was over at 11:00. Unloaded the truck, didn't move it, unloaded it and then drove it back down the street and parked it. So. Something is very wrong with those numbers. The only reason we put 10 miles is because the agent said we couldn't put a mile! Very disappointing. I does this all the time and this is 1st for the shenanigansâ€¦.Veronica A.

Fix the return system I tried to go online and return it and it kept giving me an error message and I had only rented the truck for about six hours so since we wasn't able to check in I had to pay some extra money because the place was closed and I had done an online chat with the young lady and I thought she would note that we turned it in early but wasn't able to turn it in in the system so we can get some of our money back everything else was well thank you have a blessed nightKAMRIEN H.

The front desk clerk (guy) initially told me that there were ONLY 5X5s available and that the Kanis location had the larger units. I asked several times to verify. We brought back a pickup truck a day earlier than what we rented for and I just thought it was not worth being charged that full day. At least a half day credit would have been right. After all we did bring it back before 12 noon on 6-6. The truck was washed out and gas back in.MARK B.

The truck we received was on empty and we had to go straight to the gas station. The customer service we received was good. When we dropped the truck off at the pickup location the location was closed and it was posted that it opens at 7am. So we had to wait almost 45 minutes until someone came to turn the truck in.LATOYA I.

We originally had the appointment scheduled two weeks earlier, but when we arrived, we were told that the hitch wasn't even in stock yet. I made the appointment online, and nowhere online did it say that I needed a confirmation phone call. When I finally did come in for the installation, my appointment was delayed again for an hour. The truck reservation was not ready at the appointed time. When I asked for the $50 guarantee, I was told if I got the guarantee, my reservation would be cancelled. Your website says: â€œYour reservation is guaranteed or we will give you $50 Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservationâ€. (Copied from U-Haul website). The rude clerk gave me a choice: $50 guarantee and my reservation cancelled or no $50 guarantee and get a larger truck at the same price. So I ended up with a larger truck at the same price but no $50 guarantee! Sounds like false advertising to me.Chrisdon D.

I ended up at the Geyer Springs location because the Kanis Road location failed me. I wasn't sent a review request for Kanis Road, so I'm providing it here. I booked a pickup truck and the website assured me it was guaranteed to be there, but when I arrived, no pickup trucks were available. No one from that location bothered to call me to tell me my reserved truck was not on-site, to save me a trip. Nor did they pre-arrange with the Geyer Springs located to have a truck brought to Kanis Road. After several minutes, I was told that if I want a pickup truck, I would need to go to the Geyer Springs location. When I asked how I would be compensated for this inconvenience and violation of the guarantee, the salesperson (Chris) let me know that my deposit would be refunded to me in full. As if I would expect to pay a deposit for a truck I didn't rent from their location. UHaul, you need better customer service when it comes to your "guarantees."JENNIFER W.

We had to go to multiple locations because the truck that we had reserved was not working. Instead of trying to make up for the mishap, the lady at geyer springs was not very helpful, wasn't willing to enhance my experience, not very friendly. She gave the minimum effort necessary to complete the transaction. I have always used uhaul and the truck did very well. The gentleman at Jonesboro was friendly and very helpful. But I was very dissatisfied with my experience trying to get the truck from Little Rock. She should have given me free moving rugs. She should have helped me out since what was promised to me wasn't delivered and I had to drive across town to find another truckBARRY G.
