When renting a trailer, I would recommend that the ordering process online CLEARLY states that a wiring harness for brake lights/turn signals is REQUIRED for a rental. While this may seem obvious to you, I had to reschedule a pickup from ~10 days ago b/c I was not allowed to rent the trailer when I arrived at pickup b/c I didn't have a wiring harness. At no time during the online reservation process was this requirement made clear, though there was information about a 'hitch inspection'. I honestly didn't think about the lights until I came for pickup, and was frustrated that I had to change my reservation due to this lack of communication. The reservation from Sat 6/8 went very well, and the people and equipment were excellent. Gracias.Jonathan C.

Total experience awful. Waited over an hour for our 5:30 rental ended up with van not truck. Mileage was wrong on receipt by 20 mi to my good. Brought it to clerks attention Back at our prearranged time and no one was in office for at least 15 minutes. Write a note where was parked name number left keys. and left. I did not drop my truck off here. I was booked in early while I still had the vehicle, dropped it off in the proper location (in Windsor) and this made a massive inconvenience and charged me an additional $1000 on top of the $674 I already paid. They didn't have the equipment I needed even though I reserved it well in advance. I had to drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up equipment I needed. Moving is already stressful and uhaul added so much extra stress and seriously set us behind in our schedule. We had to get a hotel because we were utterly exhausted from driving around picking up equipment uhaul didn't have.Carinda K.

Must have been understaffed the day I went. Waited in store for about seven minutes before someone came in. Even though he came in he did not acknowledge me and I had to approach him for assistance. He confirmed I was at the right location and then went on his way had ti wait another 7 or8 minutes for someone to assist me. This comment is not for drop off, but for initial pick up. I had reserved a trailer at this location over a week in advance. Upon arrival, there was no trailer present. We found that Uhaul had texted me a change of location to go to Capital Blvd instead, but I had missed it. The employee I was working with also missed this, and it took the other employee noticing to get us on track. Upon arriving at Capital Blvd, the trailer was not available. Why did no one call me to inform me that my reserved trailer is not available? Why make me drive to a second location just to be told I can't get a trailer which was reserved over a week ago? Finally, we found a trailer available in Durham (about 25 minutes away) that I could pick up same day. This experience and my prior experience renting trailers with Uhaul have been extremely poor. Each time, a previously reserved trailer is not available. Each time my reservation was confirmed multiple times by Uhaul. Each time was I able to check in online days before arriving. Neither time was a trailer available. Neither time were the employees pleased about helping me find another trailer. There must be a better way to rent a trailer.Christopher A.

I drove 6 miles,a not to Smart gentleman receiving the return charges me $9 because he claims the gas was MORE THAN 7/8 .I'm arguing with them and they all agree the tank wasn't full.(my contract says so) So I keep on asking what's more than 7/8 it's 8/8 meaning full tank and you agree it wasn't full.and I drove 6 miles why are you charging me $9 for gas.on a truck that's rated 20 miles a gallon? There was only 1 person available at the time of our reservation for both delivery and drop off. Although he was working hard and was pleasant, he was unable to keep up. It took 1.5 hours to get our rental and 1 hour to return our rental. This was the worst experience we have ever had with U-Haul.Deborah S.

Cockroaches found in the bed of this truck. I rented this truck on a Saturday for the following Saturday and on Friday around 5:00 pm was notified by uhaul my pick up location on Saturday would be 64 miles away!!! Gas is 4.39 a gallon. I told them that was unacceptable and ended up changing my reservation to Monday. Had to rearrange the loaders schedule too. Big headache. I recommend moving during the week if possible to avoid Uhaul sending you MILES out of your way to pick up your truck.Teresa B.
