I lost the truck keys while moving. Uhaul didn't have spares apparently. The truck was towed with my property inside without giving me notice, then I was refused another vehicle to reload my property, because I was an evil man and horrible person. My belongings where then held hostage until I paid them an outrageous sum of money for a simple mistake. At no point was u haul the least bit cooperative or reasonable, I was talking to brain dead zombies the entire time , only interested in extorting my money. F. U. U-Haul.

These are commercial trucks, that should have CVIP's on them and be current, not over 2 years past due… check in was great, being extended was iffy… returning was a nightmare at first but I was cranky so my attitude didn't help the process hahah

There were at least 8 empty 15-17 feet trucks sitting at the parking lot when the same day I rent the van. However, I was not able to get a 15 feet long truck, which is I originally booked. Also, your system charged me for another day because of I was late an hour to return the van because of the traffic accident on the road to cost the delay. The employee understood but the system DOES NOT. So disappointed. Will not consider to rent again.

It was good except extra charge that they charge me on fuel. I get charged $25 and the gaz narrowed almost near on the half , I return it are the same one and I told him that it wasn't on the half and he told me if you don't have a picture as a proof we can do anything. The workers are very nice and professional

I had to drive from southside Edmonton to this location to pick up rental truck. Which is fine but I had to then drive to the west side to pick up the autotransport at a different time. So I had to drive 50 miles back and forth. They gave me an additional 60 miles but it was just a hassle when I was driving 500 km that day and needing to run around Edmonton while also trying to move.

3 different locations then they final got me going to this one after the others. The inside of the window was so dirty with dirt and handprints. The cab smelt like sour milk. After unloading my stuff we realized the sour milk smell is now in all of my clothes and bedding. It's gross. I have to wash and dry clean everything!!

Truck windows were dirty with some milky substance and was hard to see in the sun. Location is very small there was no room to pull into the drop off line. The attendant told me to pull to the front and back in! I think he should have done that as I shouldn't be backing into a drop off line!! Very bad. The location seems short staff for the amount of customers that were there at peak hours. Anyone that phoned was put on hold and never responded to when I was there in line to pick up my rental...not very good customer service. I don't rent much moving vehicles but I wish the fueling part was done by the company and charged on the bill according to the KMs the customer used, even with the instructions it's hard to judge how much fuel to put in.

Used u-haul on sunday, truck was in excellent condition, however the location was severely understaffed and waited in line for over half an hour to get keys, even though I had prebooked beforehand. Returned keys after hours on sunday. 2 days later and I have not received an invoice, and returned the unit with over half a tank of gas more than when I took it. No form of credit. In another city and unable to visit branch to rectify.

The truck has to be checked out by a mechanic. As it was used for 500km it we were surprised it made the trip. It used double the gas and it sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders. I am sure I won't get compensated but it did use 400 dollars worth of gas. I thought trucks for long distance were better not worse than the usual uhual truck. I rent a lot as we run a moving company. Never complained before but this time it was a lemon of a truck and have to let you know. Please check that truck before it dies on another customer. I'm not sure who's fault it really is but I drove all the way to this location with my uhaul to get the trailer I rented (20 minutes from my house), and then got told the thing I rented wasn't actually there and had to drive 25 minutes to another location to get the trailer and 25 minutes back to my house. Then I got charged for extra miles when dropping it off. But also the people at this location weren't very friendly, helpful or efficient.

What's this BS about needing three contact numbers? If you can't reach me on my cell, how do you think the other two people are going to help? My name is the only one on the contract (which means I'm solely liable), so I'm the only one you should have contact with! On a lighter note, one staff member really went above and beyond and I appreciate his flexibility. He was the one who hooked up the car dolly, but I didn't catch his name.

I don't understand their billing system. No invoice issued after vehicle return. No explanation offered as to why the charge was twice the amount of the initial estimate. Example: I had a small 10 feet truck. Drove 23 miles; put 10 liters of gasoline to cover fuel and somehow that wasn't sufficient fill up. Question: how much fuel does a vehicle like this use? Why aren't all filled up to the full mark at the start of each rental?

The truck originally offered from Beaumont - AB dealer was somehow only available after 3:30 pm. (Not much better than the one that broke from 50th street). My request was made 35 to 40 days prior; (no reason for surprises). The reservation dept managed to get me another one-way truck. the one from 50th Street. This truck was my only option since I had to move all my belongings that day; such equipment had a huge crack on its windshield, lose mirrors, no A/C, scratches, and damage all over the body. My only exception was a great set of tires. The truck got broken 1/2 way south, transmission fluid leakage in the cabin from breakers seals. Road services showed poor management and procedure skills and took an entire day to accommodate the rescue.

Awful awful experience. Waited an hour in line. The worker at the front yelled at some other customer in line and said a very important issue was "not his problem". Neglected to go over the policies and self walk through. Booked a rolling dolly and a regular one and they had neither even though I booked weeks ago. Said they would give me a replacement fridge dolly and never did. Awful experience at an already stressful time of moving. Never again

I wish there was overhead vehicle coverage for inclement weather. I wish it was easier to get access to moving carts. I was not able to figure out 1- how to get sliding doors to open/work. So , also not able to determine if sliding doors can be positioned in open mode and not always open/ close with each pass through with boxes.

I set up my unit in person while I was renting the trailer I was using to move. The front desk attendant took my credit card, and I asked if the payments would be automatic. She assured me that they would. My first month's hadn't come out and when I called I was told was told the first month was overdue because there was no automatic credit card on file. I asked them to make a payment and set me up for automatic payment. My second month was also late and when I called, the attendant told me that it was because no one activated it on the account. Since then, I have paid for a facility where food and items were left in the hallway, and the alarm seemed to always be going off when I got there. When I asked if I set the alarm off, the attendant said that no, I hadn't, and that it just goes off every time something happens. Which appears to be 6 times an hour during busy time. There also were times when a cart wasn't available for my building. I know it's a courtesy, but it still would have been nice to have one.

Mouse droppings and mice got into my things 1153 that complex needs someone to kill off that mouse problem. That's unacceptable for the prices paid. The staff are the only saving grace trying to fulfill tye reservations made by the inadequate booking system.

I came in to check into my unit about 25 mins before closing. I was trying to get there earlier but this move has been very challenging. Robyn helped me and was amazing. She helped me make sure I had the right unit that worked for me and easily able to move in. She even directed me to McDonald's while I waited for my brother to show with the truck because I hadn't eaten all day. When I went to eat I saw a reflection of myself in a window and I was an aweful disheveled mess. Yet when I was checking into unit Robyn still treated me great. Would definitely recommend this location and I would use them again both for storage and truck rental.

Latch on door was bent and very hard to open and close. Staff were aware but never fixed it. Only issue with staff was when I moved out I was driving a large truck and when I went in to close account I didn't realize I had parked in front of disabled parking. The staff member who addressed it was very inappropriate. Instead of simply asking for the vehicle to be moved he went on a long winded explanation of why, yelling it across a very busy store. Needless to say it was very embarrassing and rather than close the account I left.

I made a reservation at the facility in 154th street, on arriving there, I was redirected to 50th street without letting me know the prices are not the same. I arrived at the facility (50th street Edmonton) the first sets of staffs were helpful, after storing my items, I went and gave the keys to the front desk, she insisted i return it under the blue canopy, of which i did and went back inside. I gave her the keys but she refused to collect it , she said I didnt park the truck under the blue canopy, that I parked outside the facility, I explained that was another dark skinned guy that she should collect the keys and verify , she insisted and told me she would loose it if she found out I was lying, she eventually checked and saw my Truck parked under the blue canopy but she didn't acknowledged her mistake or apologized for threatening and calling a customer a liar. Please kindly look into this as this should not be happening to customers.

There was a little confusion about using both key pads ( I only saw the one initially). Initially there was no cart available and the loading doors stayed locked and closed. The attendants were able to correct all this easily and quickly once I told them.

I found that the light sensors in inside unit only work for a max of 10-15 minutes so when I was organizing the lights went out. Also mice chewed through drywall. I don't like bait boxes inside the units. Mouse poop located there. It also was very cold inside. Things would freeze. I found a much cleaner unit elsewhere

When it takes 48 to 72 hours for staff to answer the phone lines in this facility, that is completely unacceptable. I've also been in line and watched how the staff answer the calls. "Hello uhaul 50st hold please?" They don't even allow the caller to indicate they've been on hold already for hours. This always bothered me about your facility.

We were very disappointed that we could not purchase contents insurance from your company. We have moved out of the country and therefore do not have home owners insurance. We had to terminate our contract and move our things to a different company. It took us two days of driving from Olds to Edmonton and back to get everything done. This is not the first mix up we have had with U-Haul and we are reluctant to even rent a truck again.

One of the employees crashed a uhaul truck and blamed me for the damagaes! After I paid for the insurance and everything and I seen the damages where the wreck was done but nothing was done or said about it and the employee ended up with a raise! And the employee they call nick is a terribly rude over bearing employee with no respect to the patrons of uhaul! Steve O on the other hand is the best employee that uhaul has to offer he was the most helpful and respectful employee at that branch and I just thought that he should be recognized because he is an amazing hard worker!!

Facility was fine. Staff were helpful. Only problem was 3 weeks after storage unit was emptied, I began to receive email and phone calls reminding me that rent was due. It took a couple of phone calls to sort it out but it was dealt with.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. wouldn't recommend or want to use this service myself ever again. All personnel from the in-store staff to customer service seem very incompetent at their job. Some of the most clueless people I've ever talk to. First they send me a notification that I had checked out of my storage unit when I wasn't even in town and still had 2 more weeks left. I called them several times but no response, eventually I had to drive 3hrs back to town to make sure all my belongings were still there. When I got there they told me my locker was broken into and was empty so they replaced the lock on it. They went looking for the keys but 20mins later couldn't find them. The staff I was dealing with didn't look very intelligent so I lost confidence in them and took it upon myself to walk to the locker and have a look myself, sure enough my key worked and all my belongings were still there. Then 2 weeks later I was moving my stuff out and had made a reservation for a truck a month ahead of time, the day before my truck rental I received a call and I was told the truck I had made the reservation for wasn't available and I'll need to drive 60km out of town to pick one up. I didn't have a choice so I went to pick up the truck, but when I went to return the truck to the location I had picked online, I found out that they had also changed the drop off location to a place 40km away from the location I had reserved online. Called customer service several times to resolve this issue and every time I called I came across someone with their age higher than their IQ. Eventually I realized it was a losing battle, you can't reason with those that aren't equipped for it.

Unit was not the size I wanted to rent. Staff would not believe me even with pictures of tape measure showing size. A total waste of my time. Long line up to rent unit. Second line up to ask questions about the size. Then wait to cancel. Not impressed.

One of the worst services out there that shouldn't be allowed to exist. I was told I had moved out when all my belongings were still at the unit. I was out of town at the moment. When I found out I had supposedly checked out I called the office but nobody picked up the phone for 6 straight calls. Then I made the trip down there and went to see it in person, there they told me my locker was empty and I had checked out. They couldn't find my info in the system. They didn't seem very smart or sure about anything in life, so I walked up to the locker myself and had a look inside and everything was still there intact.

Spent 90 min to rent a space ,after was rented i go back and forward several, times and the distance was considerable, because the access code was not working ,when finally was working the storage room had someone lock on , I was told (in very bad way ) to wait until The lady will be available to come with me and fix the problem . The waiting line was long till the door (around 7-8 people ) so i have to cancel after almost 2 hours spent there.

I lost half of my belongs while transferring to a smaller unit. Upon asking one of the attendants to hold my stuff until the next day so I could get more helpers, to my shock and disappointment found that instead of helping me my stuff had been taken to an auction. I lost all of my camping gear and much more. Your company is greedy and only serves there own needs which is to make more money. I am very disappointed with your organization. No matter how big your company grows with our trust and good gusty service you will lose more than win.

I was given a free month of storage that went with the move i did.. i had my things in there for literally less then 2 weeks in total, they have been charging me even after i was out, for several months now and refused to listen when i told them several times i only used it for 2 weeks of my Free month.. they are con artest scammers and steal from people anyway they can..

I moved out of my unit many months ago and you've still been charging me. My locks were taken off my stuff was all removed. Doors were left open. I let them know in the office. I had two units originally, and only one was a continuing charge.Long story short I'll never use you guys again.

Excessively long waits for staff assistance, there were always large uhaul trucks parked in the way of the “drive up storage locker” and would have to go inside and request them to move the truck, and there was mouse poop all over the floor of the unit with no barriers to prevent mice from getting in. Would not recommend uhaul.

excellent except you need someone on the phone so customers don't wait on hold forever. Also when paying each month the wait is long. For years I had to pay a $10 fine for late payment, I can't see why I couldn't change my payment date yill the end of the month when the old age pension comes in. I was always 10 or 12 days late.
