When it takes 48 to 72 hours for staff to answer the phone lines in this facility, that is completely unacceptable. I've also been in line and watched how the staff answer the calls. "Hello uhaul 50st hold please?" They don't even allow the caller to indicate they've been on hold already for hours. This always bothered me about your facility.bob B. | Overall Experience
Got a call the night I originally booked to drop trailer off . Extended it till the next morning to have dropped off by noon as I didn't get home off the road till 3:30 am ... but the next morning at 8:10 am my phones ringing from uhaul asking where the trailer was.. and an exact time of drop off .... to say the least not happy about being woken up after I had allready explained when I was dropping the trailer offCraig N.

Make sure trucks are fully operational in tge winter with proper winter tires and speedometer that read kms because wd are in canada not the statesChristian H.
I tried to use self check out/in but I had problems. I couldn't get the camera to take my photo at check in so I had to go in. The staff were very nice and helpful. At check in I had a problem with the fuel and the person helped me check in and he was also very nice and helpful as well.Sandra H.

I would like to say that the entire experience of renting with U-haul was atrocious. I reserved a trailer. I got confirmation of my rental. I was then informed via txt that the location of the pick up had been changed. When I called and spoke to the rep I was assured that the trailer would be at the location on 17th st. When arrived there at 7am and I should say that this was 30min out of my way, I was told that they they did not have a trailer for me there, instead I was sent to the original location which was 10 min from my home and 45 min from the 17th st location where I was sent. The entire rental process cost me 2hrs of being late for work and the stress that this caused. I am completely dissatisfied with the service and process of renting with U-haul. Josue GranilloJosue G.

I felt the desk and staff were very helpful .. BUT .. I had 2 MAJOR concerns which may cause me not to do business in the future .. I have rented many times before ..so I was not happy .. ONE .. I was directed to my truck and found another parked behind it .. then had to find staff to get a key .. move truck .. so I could leave .. LAST .. my total miles for trip was 15 .. the needle did not move .. I put $10 in anyway .. then I was told I shorted the fill and needed to pay $11 more .. NOT IMPRESSED at all .. I paid and left .. not very happy with the conclusion on OUR relationship for that day,Michael T.

I was mixed up with am/pm when booking so I couldn't get my truck plus the first place didn't open until 11am. I think having bright AM/PM would help some people like me (bad eye sight) from mixing the times. Also, if this U-Haul program could consign with the stores hours when booking, we could book when they are open (and notified when booking to make sure it works for us). Being busy, stressed out made me not look correctly at the info needed to book on my specific day. Other than computers not working today, it was a good experience. Oh, the truck was not filled to full, luckily I took a picture of the dash and sent it to them before going on my Mary way. It even said on the form,which they were probably going to blame for it. I've used 50th street U-Haul a few times now, I have not been deterred from not going back. I'd like to thank them anyway for doing a great job and handling the issues that arose, in a professional manner.Claudia L.

Uhaul has come a long way, I would find it so out of this world if we had the receiving/return line in a sheltered area ( not just a tent but here in Canada) in a heated corridor).Nicole M.
Canadian vehicles should be used for Canadian customers and the wheel alignment should be checked as ours was horrid, the windshield wipers were poor quality and dangerous on winter roads - the gas was not full - it was 1/2 emptyDavid P.

Originally had the hermitage road location and they changed from a online app pickup to an in person pick up without notifying us. We waited until they opened at 10 - a bummer considering we had to load and drive 7 hours that day. They never did show up so 50th street location helped us out immediately.Aaron S.
Pickup location was changed by UHaul days before picking up. Location change caused an extra 30 min each way drive to pickup resulting in extra time and gas money. I had made this reservation weeks prior so not sure why this couldn't be planned for properly on UHaul's end.Kevin N.

We were very disappointed that we could not purchase contents insurance from your company. We have moved out of the country and therefore do not have home owners insurance. We had to terminate our contract and move our things to a different company. It took us two days of driving from Olds to Edmonton and back to get everything done. I rented a pickup truck for a 50km round trip to pick up a large item. The truck smelt faintly of cigarettes smoke. It is winter in Edmonton and the rear wheel drive truck did not have appropriate tires on it. Upon check-in I was told I drove the truck 75 km, where in actuality I drove it 51 km. Thankfully I took a photo of the dash to track the fuel gauge before I drove it off the lot, which also captured the odometer. The adjustment was made by the staff.Matthew Y.

Honestly, the number given to call for drop off didn't work. Location said it was open until 9 pm, which it was not. Luckily there were other people there in the same boat dropping stuff off so we could work together. Being dyslexic and trying to sort through the paperwork and deciphering how to set up a Uhaul account was tricky for me. Process took way too long, and the drop off location was way out of my way. Definitely need one on the south side of Edmonton as well, and both drop off locations should be staffed around the clock to assist with returns. I am hoping to rent another Uhaul here in a week or so to move stuff from storage To my new shop, however, if I can't return it to where I picked it up and am forced to go back to that location, I will be finding another rental company.Sean B.

They told me the truck had 1/4 tank it had none!! The fuel light was on, I couldn't even see the mileage until I filled up. That also differed greatly from the paperwork they gave me. They didn't do a walk around or walk through just hooked up the trailer and took a picture of the hookup and sent me on my way.Jason P.

Check in to work as intended (had to redo check-in after getting to the location even tho it was approved already online) Please ask in advance for a "friend" phone number at the online check-in or at least let me know I will have to apply a friend phone number! I don't understand why the uhaul staff had prepped 3 moving trucks for customers but mine was parked far away, covered in snow, not ready to go, and when I let the staff know that the instructions did not specify where the truck key was, the staff member was rude and disrespectful towards me. I will never return to this location and will make sure I let anyone who asks know that if you want to be treated well, to not go there. Very disappointed by the rude lady staff member.Kristopher M.

One of the employees crashed a uhaul truck and blamed me for the damagaes! After I paid for the insurance and everything and I seen the damages where the wreck was done but nothing was done or said about it and the employee ended up with a raise! And the employee they call nick is a terribly rude over bearing employee with no respect to the patrons of uhaul! Steve O on the other hand is the best employee that uhaul has to offer he was the most helpful and respectful employee at that branch and I just thought that he should be recognized because he is an amazing hard worker!!Melissa S. | Overall Experience
